"Eleventh Hour" Series Review by Eva 10/24/08
Eleventh
Hour Thursday 10 Eastern 9 Central time on CBS
"Eleventh Hour"'s premise is very interesting - it follows biophysicist Dr.
Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewall) as he investigates scientific crimes and strange
events that nobody has been able to solve. He is brought in as a last resort.
The show is based on a British miniseries of the same name. Dr. Young is
protected by Special agent Rachel Young (Marley Shelton) who is not always
thrilled to be protecting the brilliant Dr. Hood, who doesn't do what she tells
him to do most of the time.
Hood and Young are both strong-willed people who constantly clash with each
other but in the end do their job. The show is well-written and will keep you
guessing right until the end. The show also reveals interesting facts about
science that are fun to learn. The only problem I can see with the show is that
it has very strong competition from ER on NBC, and Life on
Mars on ABC. I wish they would move it to another night where it can find an
audience.
I give this show a 5 out of 5 because if it can make it to another season, then
it will have a better chance of finding an audience, since ER is in its final
season. If you watch this show one time, you will be hooked and learn how
important Science is in life.
