"Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares"

by Danielle
If the team from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition started remodeling
restaurants and it was hosted by the British lovechild of Supernanny and Dr.
Phil who so happened to swear like a sailor, you´d have the new Fox reality
show, Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon Ramsay, the British chef whose blunt
colorful loud ways of speaking his mind were first introduced to America on
`Hell´s Kitchen,´
hosts this new series. Each episode features a restaurant down on their luck
hoping that Ramsay can fix what needs to be done to get them back on top.
The first thing after meeting the `family´ of restaurant owners and staff
that Ramsay does is partake of a meal served by the wait staff so he can
experience what it´s like to be a patron. The only difference being that
Ramsay is more like an obnoxious food critic than your average patron. A
tour of the kitchen shows facilities in bad need of replacing and
reorganization of priorities. Bestowing a brand new kitchen and advice on
how to set themselves apart from the other similar restaurants in the area
creates moral and a renewed sense of prosperity. The show features plenty of
heated exchanges and drama that is common fare these days on reality shows
but also ties things up at the end when
everything seems to magically work out.
