"Til Death"
Review by Suzanne 9/22/06

I have been enjoying "Til Death" so far. It surprised me because
I did not think I would like it. Since it has the actor Brad Garrett, formerly
known from "Everybody Loves Raymond". I don't like that show and find the
characters irritating, so I thought that this show would be the same way. "Til
Death" is funnier than I expected it to be, too.
The show is about a middle-aged married couple (Garrett and Joely Fisher) and
the young married couple that moves in next door to them. Because the young
married couple is more innocent and has more expectations, the older couple is
constantly comparing themselves to them. Garrett's character, Eddie, is usually
giving advice to new neighbor Jeff about how a married guy should act. In some
ways it is similar to "Married...with Children", but it's not nearly as funny,
nor as ridiculously silly as that show. The characters here are slightly more
likable and realistic than the Bundys and their neighbors.
I enjoy it because I can relate to the older married couple, since I have been
married 24 years. That's something I could never have said about the Bundys! I
look forward to seeing how the show progresses and I hope they can keep it funny
and interesting. Once all of the new shows premiere, however, I'm not sure if I
will stick with it because it's on a rough night, opposite Smallville, Ugly
Betty, and My Name Is Earl...
