Sharon: Can we... call a truce for you father's sake? I-I know that you don't mean to hurt him, and--and he would never admit that you'd gotten to him.

Victoria: No, you really are just playing this to the hilt, aren't you? You're so nurturing and supportive-- such a perfect lady.

Sharon: So my concerns can't possibly be genuine? Is that what you're saying? I mean, your father and I have had a bond that goes back decades.

Victoria: Yeah. Yeah, you've been my father's pet for a long time. I guess now you're just looking to be promoted, which has nothing to do with your concern for him.

Sharon: Well, think what you want. Your father knows best.

Victoria: My father likes pretty women. He likes having his ego soothed. You know, it may be enough to keep his attention, but it won't keep it for very long, Sharon. For that, you have to have a little more substance. You have to have something going on, something to offer. Oh, unfortunately, that's where you fall short. But I really wouldn't worry about it too much, because I'm sure there will be some lovely, lovely parting gifts.

Michael: I have seen enough movies to know that the job of a best buddy at times like this is to tell the heroine to drop everything in the name of love and to go rushing off to the airport to toss herself into her lover's arms.

Chris: But that's okay, because she misses the flight. But he never got on board.

Michael: Hmm.

Chris: Proves they were meant to be.

Michael: (Chuckles) Roll credits.

Chris: Mm. Well, the credits rolled for Danny and me a long time ago.

Michael: Yeah, that's a damn shame.

Chris: And I love my life. I've worked hard to get to this point. And the work I do matters.

Michael: Some people have all that and someone to come home to.

Chris: I hope those people realize how blessed they are. (Sighs) Anyway, here is to putting the past in the past, where it belongs.
