Paul: Oh, come on, Todd. I really don't want to hear this. I don't want to hear that-- that we're better off or--or we would have been miserable. We were great together. We were great together, whereas victor treated her like dirt. He nearly destroyed her. Why would someone want to go back to that?

Paul: Like an addiction?
Fr. Todd: Or a calling.
Paul: A calling? So you're saying this is-- this is God's plan? He wants Nikki to be involved in a-a toxic, dead-end relationship?
Fr. Todd: No, no, of course not.
Paul: That's good, because I believe in a loving God.
Fr. Todd: And he is a loving God, and his love in a marriage does more than make people happy. It can be healing. It can be fulfilling. I've witnessed that.
