Patrick: You know what I like about you not being Chief of Staff? I don't get in trouble for sucking up to the boss.
Robin: Uh, I have to talk to you about something.
Patrick: Okay. That sounds a little ominous.
Robin: Um -- I have to go away.
Patrick: Okay. You have to go away. Does this have anything to do with the patient that you're so upset about?
Robin: Yes. The, uh, patient is experiencing possibly irreversible complications.
Patrick: Do you know why?
Robin: The HIV drug protocol stopped working months ago.
Patrick: Okay. What about alternative regimens?
Robin: The resistance test shows that the patient has very limited options.
Patrick: Okay, so, now why -- why are you going away?
Robin: Well, the -- there's an HIV conference, uh, which covers all of the newest science, and, uh, I mean, it's something that I couldn't have done before when I was chief, and now I'm available to go, so I --
Patrick: Right. So, now that you got free time, you're just gonna bail on Emma and me.
Robin: Is that really how you feel?
Patrick: No. No, it's not. I was just -- I was just kidding. I'm sorry.
Robin: Oh, it's okay. I'm just -- I'm overly sensitive right now. I've just started to realize how much I was missing, you know, when I was running the hospital. I did love the challenge, though.
