Sonny: I was beginning to think you were dead.
Luke: Not quite.
Sonny: Been back for a while?
Luke: Long enough.
Sonny: Eh? So, I-I take it this is not your first stop.
Luke: Not my first. Maybe my last.
Sonny: So, what happened? You decided just to stop by and say hi?
Luke: I'm on an amends project. You don't need to hide your booze from me, Sonny.
Sonny: Amends? Isn't that an "AA" thing?
Luke: So they tell me. But I'm not the one making the amends. I'm here to get an apology from an old friend who stabbed me in the back when I was duct-taped to a chair.
Sonny: But the duct tape wasn't my idea.
Luke: No, you just offered the warehouse.
Sonny: Y-your kids came to me for help.
Luke: And you jumped right in there, piled on the judgment.
Sonny: Look, I wa-- I didn't judge you. I told you that, you know, that I admired you, what a great father you are. Although by the way you're -- you been treating your kids, I don't know.
Luke: Love is in the eye of the beholder.
Sonny: Like I said at the intervention, I-I-I would strive to be the father you were.
Luke: "Were." Past tense.
Sonny: You were going down a bad road, Luke.
Luke: Well, I seem to recall seeing you on that road a few times.
Sonny: Yeah. Uh, yeah. But I'm trying to do better, especially for my kids. I wouldn't -- I wouldn't walk away from them.
Luke: Good for you. You know, there comes a time when kids reach an age they no longer need parental supervision.
Sonny: Yeah, but we -- you know, they still need us. Obviously, look, this is going to another subject here. W-w-we've done great with them 'cause they -- we have great kids. I don't know if you know, but Dante asked Lulu to marry him.
Luke: I heard.
Sonny: And I think that if they can get out of each other's way, it could work.
Luke: I think it'll be a big, fat disaster.
