Ethan: There you go, stingy Jack...or drunk Jack or Jack of the lanterns. That was his name, you know, in the old Celtic tale. They say that Jack was a sly one with a silver tongue. Some say...more sly than the devil himself, which is how Jack was able to trick the devil into not stealing his soul. So time went on, and eventually Jack died. And when he went to the gates of heaven, he found that they were closed to him because of his deceitful, drunken life. And so Jack and his condemned soul were doomed to wander between realms and across the earth in darkness for all eternity, with nothing but a ghostly light to shine his way. And from then on... people all around the world have carved scary faces into gourds and placed them in their doorways and their windows to ward off the evil ghosts and demons that wander the night on all hallows' eve. Which is why, truth be told, I brought him along. See, I make my own luck. Because luck doesn't live here anymore. It got scared off. Now, this would be a good time for stingy Jack to come warm up the place a bit.
