Tracy: Lucky, I'm sure this feels like I'm overstepping, but I know your father.
And I honestly believe that you're the only one that could help him. He really
needs you.
Lucky: Everybody needs me right now. Elizabeth needs me, my dad needs me. I'm
just trying to get through the day, you know? Don't you get it? My dad doesn't
want to be helped. There's nothing I can do if he's determined to self destruct.
Tracy: You and your dad are a lot more alike than you think. You're both using
denial as a coping mechanism.
Lucky: What are you talking about? I'm not denying anything. Dad is. He's the
one who can't admit he's an alcoholic.
Tracy: And whether you like it or not, you and your father are in this together.
And if you don't face up to that fact, there are going to be serious
repercussions for all of us.
