Random Thoughts, Questions, & Ideas

I have been watching AMC on SOAPnet when it airs in my time zone
(EST) 1-3 a.m. as I do not sleep. I have enjoyed watching the old
episodes, and it has been fun, seeing old characters again and
re-watching good storylines, I have some issues with the most recent
shows.
For a while I thought it was me or maybe my DVR, but I soon
realized that SOAPnet has been skipping episodes so that when you
finish one episode the one following is further ahead in the story.
I was enjoying the bomb shelter storyline with all the off shoot
stories. However, once it was over and Rebecca Budig returned
(nothing against her), the shows and stories have become ridiculous.
Examples:
1. Ryan losing his memory – stupid. This seems to be an
easy way to save some money by flooding us with old clips. I also do
not understand why he does not remember Gillian -- the supposed love
of his life.
2. Zach and Greenlee's BFF relationship -- over the top.
Greenlee talking Zach Slater into doing a spin on a pole? Really?
Wanting him to be her “Man of Honor” and Kendall being Aidan’s “Best
Man” at their wedding? Really?
3. Characters are drinking alcohol way too much. It seems
like all everyone does is drink. Not just at social occasions or out
at night but Margaritas at Fusion during the workday to welcome
Kendall and Greenlee back.
4. Erica in jail and Carmen -- the whole road trip scenario
was just pathetic.
5. I thought Kendall was supposed to be doing community
service? What happened to that?
6. Kendall acts like a total child. How does Zach put up with
that? One moment she can't leave her "boys" and the next it is
like they do not exist, and then she is on a book tour and trying to
talk Zach into taking off for some alone time.
7. So many new characters all at once. Return of Jesse and
Angie (good), grown up Frankie, Cassandra, NuColby, Uncle Rob, and
Jake.
Well, I could probably think of more issues, but I hope the show
skips along and gets back to some of the better stories it had
before it ended.
I would love to hear from any of my readers.
