Luis puts Fancy in her cell, and she hates it.  "Oh, come on, now. I've seen worse. They don't put master criminals up at the Ritz, you know."  She wants to just stay in the office section where the officers are.  "Look, Fancy, I'm low man on the totem pole right now, ok? At least till I pass my detectives exam. Now, it was stupid of me to take you to that baseball game, but, look, I really need to follow protocol, ok? Don't worry. Your lawyer will be here any time to get you out, ok?" She tells him that she lied and never really did call her lawyer as she said she did.  She wanted to stay with him.  He still has to put her in the cell,  though.  She wonders if he can stay with her for a while.  He has to study for his test but she offers herself for him to study instead.  She promises him an 'A' if he would only consider it.

Ethan tends to Theresa while Whitney calls the ambulance.  Jared wants to help,  but Ethan will not let him anywhere near Theresa.  "Hey, hey, keep away from her, all right, man? You almost killed her. The paramedics are on their way. Come on, Theresa. Come on, honey, wake up." Chad whispers to Whitney that Ethan is acting like he is her boyfriend or something. Miguel and Ethan both lean over Theresa now, trying to get her up, but she still doesn't move. Tabitha knows that Theresa has been hurt but she just wants to get back to this game of the battle of the sexes now.  Ethan is still fixated on Theresa and her condition.  Whitney begs him to move so that Jared can check Theresa out.  He knows First Aid.  "I don't think so, ok? That's the guy that hurt her in the first place, ok? Where's the damn ambulance, people?"   Tabitha finds it funny that Ethan is acting this way.

Miguel is sorry he agreed to play the game now.  He feels guilty that Theresa is hurt.  Gwen is sure that she will be fine soon.  Ethan turns to her,  saying that she couldn’t possibly know that.  Jared tries again to get to Theresa, but Ethan blocks his way.  No one will touch her until he sees the paramedics are there.  Ethan soon realizes that he is overdoing it,  and he reluctantly gets out of the way so that Jared can get to her.  Gwen isn't pleased. She feels that Ethan is making a huge fool of the both of them by the way that he is acting over Theresa.  Ethan feels that he would have been that concerned over anyone who had gotten hurt like that.

Theresa starts getting up. She is a little disoriented.  Ethan tells her to relax and she will be just fine. She insists on getting up right away.  She feels great.  Ethan and Jared tell Theresa what happened to her just now.  "No, no, it wasn't a ball. It didn't get me, not this time. The glove, right, yeah, ouch. Yep, the stitching, it must have just cut my forehead. Though, really."  Whitney decides to cancel the ambulance call as Theresa seems to be okay.  "Well, I guess the game's off. You know, I shouldn't have agreed to this in the first place. I knew one of you girls were going to get hurt."  Theresa will not have it.  "Oh, no you don't. No, no, I'm not hurt.  It's just a little blood, Jared. I get worse cuts doing my nails, ok? The game is on."  The umpire is gone, so Jared can't see how they can continue to play anyway.  He wants to call it a day.  Theresa will not let him off after the way that he talked about women before.  She wants to play!  Theresa is determined to teach him a lesson.  The girls are on board and ready to go play.  Theresa asks Tabitha to ump for the game.  Tabitha doesn't think that she can do it,  but soon changes her mind when there is the mere suggestion that she doesn't know how to play.  She taught some of the best and she even fixed the World Series once.  She is responsible for the fame that Abner Doubleday has today.  Kay has no idea who that is.  "He's the man who invented the game. Yes, yes, of course, I'll umpire. That way I get to watch the battle of the sexes up close and personal."  That's enough of that.  Tabitha calls for everyone to go to their positions now so they can play.

Whitney takes a minute to make sure that her friend is okay before they head out to play.  Theresa hopes that Jared isn't about to complain that the umpire is a woman.  He throws his hands up,  denying that he had any intent to do anything of the sort.  She orders him into the dugout but he wants to bat first.  Theresa insists that he go sit down,  and finally he gives in. Tabitha has changed into her old uniform and is glad to see that it still fits. Chad and Whitney will be on opposite teams but that doesn't stop them from sharing a kiss before the game starts.   Theresa won't put up with Whitney's fraternizing with the enemy and orders her jokingly to cut it out.   Whitney is interested in Tabby's get-up and asked where she got it.  Tabitha sees no reason for anyone to be surprised by the way that she is dressed. She feels that this is what everyone wears.  Chad loves the outfit!  Theresa just wants to get on with the game.

Chad and Whitney can see that Theresa is driven to win against the men.  She isn't going to give up till she wins.  "From what I can see, she's a little bit confused about her feelings for Ethan and possibly even for the handsome newcomer in the dugout."  Chad and Whitney can't help feeling bad for Jared who now sits timidly in the dugout. The men are up to bat first and it takes no time for Tabitha to shout out that there's been a first strike.  Fox shouts out batting tips for his teammates. Tabitha hopes that things keep going wrong and that they will see bloodshed that day.

"Hey. Hello? Anybody in there? I'll be right outside studying for my exam if you need me, ok?"   Luis starts leaving,  but Fancy calls to him.  "Well, no, wait, wait, wait, Luis, can't you stay with me, please? What am I supposed to do in here all by myself?"  Luis thinks about this for a minute.  "Well, all right, I guess I can stay, but no talking, ok? I need to pass this exam so I can get a raise so I can get the hell out of Harmony."  Fancy wishes that he would stop talking about leaving town.  "Well, I'm sorry, but that's not going to happen. Too many memories here with Sheridan. Let me go, ok? I need to study."  Fancy offers to help him make good memories if he stays in town.  He says nothing.  She looks around and asks about the cells and if they ever get painted.  She has been in jails before in different parts of the world and they were better than this.  He finds that an interesting thing to reveal, but she doesn't get into it.  He suggests that she take a nap and maybe when she wakes, her lawyer will be there.  She looks around at the linen on her cot and is disgusted by it.  "I am sure at they are perfectly clean, just not as nice as what you're used to up at the mansion," Luis says.  She knows that he thinks that she is a princess and she refuses to be thought of as that.  Fancy jumps now shouting out in horror.

Luis looks around to see what is wrong.  She has seen a cockroach scurrying around on the floor.  "Oh, come on. There aren't any cockroaches in here, ok? They spray this place for bugs, like, once a week."  He asks her to please keep quiet now so that he can study in peace.  "Oh, yeah, sure. Let me rot in the dungeon like livestock while you read. If you think this cell is so clean, why don't sit on the bed and I'll sit in the chair?"   He doesn't see any danger in doing that so they make the switch, only Luis decides to stand instead.  She thinks that he is standing because he saw a cockroach too,  but he hasn't.  She offers to help him study.  He isn't sure how she can help.  "I can help. I always used to help the other girls in boarding school." He decides soon enough that maybe her help will be a good thing.  She takes the book from him now in order to quiz him. "DNA testing is accepted as irrefutable evidence… A nationwide; B on a state-by-state basis; or C depending on the individual courts?"

The girls are doing great and manage to get three strikes on the boys!  Gwen is pissed at Ethan and he knows why.  "I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I overreacted when Theresa got hit by the ball, ok? I was worried. She's Jane's biological mother, Gwen. I was --"  Gwen knows what this is.  "Oh my God.  You can't stop it? Oh, my God! Ethan, no matter what you say, it's absolutely driving you crazy that she's moved on."  Ethan denies that.  "I'm not angry.  After all those years I wondered if she would let you go. Well, she has, but you can't let her go."  Ethan tries to make her understand, but she feels she already does and won't listen to anything more that he has to say.

Miguel freaks out that his sister has struck him out.  She should be playing for the Red Sox.  Fox tells Miguel to stop his whining and play the game. It suddenly occurs to him that the toddlers are not around.  Tabitha left them with a sitter so that she could have time to herself.  "I'm sorry about that. We should have called, but Theresa and this new guy got involved in this big argument and -- "  Tabitha knows all about that.  "Ok, so you know, well, we're caught in the middle of this big grudge match for the duration, guys versus girls."  Tabitha knows all about that too.  Fox warns her to stay objective while umpiring.  Tabitha thinks to herself that in this game she will be objective. She is on the side of the Dark Side.

Kay shouts out to Miguel that although his sister struck him out, she still loves him. Fox makes a face. He can't stand this.  Tabitha sees that Kay is still in her alternate reality.  Miguel wonders if she is fine and just has good taste in men.  "Where do you get off, pal? You know, first everybody tells me, 'Trust Miguel. Miguel's a good guy, he'll do the right thing,' and what do you do? You sleep with my girlfriend."  Miguel asks Fox if he plans to tell the whole world this news. Tabitha knows in her heart that her love potion is responsible for this. Miguel tries to make Fox see that he didn't mean for all this to happen.  Something just came over him.  He only wants what is best for Kay.  Fox feels that being with him is what is best for Kay.

Tabitha can feel a fight coming on between these two. Miguel asks Fox if he would like a beating. "Nothing like rutting stags fighting it out," Tabitha observes smiling.  "Sweat pouring. Muscles rippling. Bloody hell, I'm beginning to sound like Rebecca Crane. Oh, did he crack your nice bat, Miguel?"  Fox did break the poor boy's bat and Miguel isn't happy at all about that. Tabitha jokes that this is shocking!  Just shocking! Fox and Miguel are deep into it and are on the ground now rolling around.  Miguel shouts for Fox to get off him.

"All records of court cases are the purview of, a, the district attorney, b, the clerk of the local court, or, c, the clerk of the state supreme court"?  Luis stops to think about this one.  Fancy is surprised and readily comes up with the right answer without looking at the back of the book.  "I said don't tell me. And it's not easy. I'm telling you, I studied for weeks last time I took this detective exam, and let me tell you something, it's tough."  Fancy finds it all to be common sense.  Luis is skeptical about her opinion.  "Yeah. In fact, why don't we have a contest to see who knows the most? We got to do something to pass the time."  Luis likes that idea.  "Ok. Ok let me get this straight. You actually think that you could beat me on a test of those questions?"  He did take the test before and passed it. That doesn't impress her, as he is before her now in uniform still.  They will do it then! They will compete!  Fancy has a way to make the game even more interesting. He thinks that she wants to bet,  but he hasn't got the kind of scratch that she might want to bet for.  She isn't talking about money.  He is curious now,  but she fears that he is too scared to do what she has in mind.  He is sure that he is up for it.  He is thoughtful now. What has she got in mind?  "See, I know, how to make our game interesting, so let's see if you're brave enough to accept the challenge."

Fox pushes Miguel to fight…Kay sees that something is wrong and learns from Tabitha that the boys are fighting again.  Tabitha attributes it to the testosterone in them and sports.  "Gosh, what is up with Fox Crane? He is always bugging me. He's always got his nose in my business. Who's watching the girls?"   Tabitha tells her about the babysitter and Kay relaxes.  A smile comes to her face.  She comments on how hot Miguel looks out there.  Tabitha asks her what she thinks about Fox.  "Fox, hmm, he'd look all right if he'd smile every once in a while. I don't know. I know Siren thinks he's cute. I'm going to go sit down."  Siren comes to Tabitha now to see what she was talking to Kay about.  Tabitha doesn't say much though.  Siren loves playing baseball.  She knew that she was going to like playing when she saw the boys all take their shirts off.  Tabitha asks if there has been any sign that Kay is getting better.  Siren has seen nothing.  "You'd better not sink your fins into Fox, because Endora would be very upset if you make love to Fox. She loves her brother, and she wants him to be happy, and he won't be if he's stuck with your mermaid's curse for the rest of his life."  Siren isn't concerned about Endora's anger right now.  "Well, tough tuna. I'm a mermaid, and one thing we're really good at is revenge. Kay took Miguel away from me, so I'm going to take Fox away from the entire female human race."

Whitney cheers for her friend Theresa and is mildly surprised when she hears Gwen doing the same.  Gwen doesn't give an explanation for that, and Whitney lets it go…Jared shouts at Theresa to get moving so that they can get the game going.  "We started playing baseball a long time ago. It's the guy's team that didn't get a single run, as I recall."  Gwen notices that Jared gets under Theresa's skin quite easily.  Whitney is surprised that she sees that.  Who didn't? “But, you know, at first I thought they'd make a good couple, but I'm not really sure anymore. I mean, she's actually pretty mad at him, right?"  Whitney responds.  "You know what? You don't have to worry because Theresa does like Jared, Even if she won't admit it herself. She's over Ethan. She told me herself."   Gwen was starting to believe that, but now she isn't so sure.  Whitney knows that Ethan helping Theresa after she got hit might mean something to Theresa, but one can only hope it doesn’t.  Gwen will keep a close watch on the developments.  "I hope it didn't give her a reason to start up her obsession with Ethan all over again. But I tell you, if I see her trying to get close to him again, I'm going to --"  Gwen doesn't finish her sentence. She just hopes that Theresa keeps her distance from Ethan. Jared gets a strike on Theresa and that makes her very unhappy.  Theresa complains about the pitch and asks Jared to give her a good one next time.  Theresa hits the next ball and goes tearing up the field to take her base.  Ethan is there and she knocks him over by plowing right into him.  Gwen feels that was a planned move.

"All right, then, if you're not talking about betting money, then how do you propose we make this contest more interesting?" Fancy has a great idea but she is concerned that Luis won't go for it.  He assures her that he is up for something fun.  "Did anyone besides me hear that? Oh, I wish there were witnesses because that is the funniest thing you've ever said."  Luis is serious.  "I don't know what you're talking about. I know how to have fun. I can be the life of a party. In fact, I'm a regular laugh riot.”  “Yeah."  Fancy smiles at him sweetly.  "How sweet. Now, just forget it. I'll just quiz you. Besides, I wouldn't want to embarrass you by beating you."  She knows that he couldn't live down being beaten by a princess like her.  Anyway, her idea is for them to play for clothes…  "Mm-hmm, strip poker, only with questions. Every time one of us misses a question, we have to take off a piece of clothing. Are you game?"

Gwen is on Theresa about what she just did and she knows that the girl did that on purpose. It doesn't matter to Theresa.  All that matters is that she is safe!  Whitney and the other girls cheer at Theresa's prowess as a player  Ethan and Gwen are amazed at the way that Theresa has treated the man that she used to refer to as her soul mate. Jared asks Kay if she is ready for the pitch that he is going to send to her.  She tells him to hold on and she goes running to Miguel for a hug and kiss first.  Theresa shouts to her to concentrate on the game and forget about Miguel right now.  Kay hears nothing. She looks into her lover's eyes, beaming that he is the hottest player there…  Miguel begs her to stop this,  but she takes her time.  Miguel gets frustrated and orders Kay off him.  Theresa keeps shouting at her to focus.  Kay takes her place and is ready to hit…

Kay hits the ball and starts running.  Miguel is out there and tags her,  but she falls anyway.  Fox is angry that Miguel was rough with her, but he maintains that he wasn't and that she tripped on her own.  Kay has hit her head.  Tabitha calls out to her, asking if she is alright.  Fox runs to Kay.  She calls to Fox sweetly looking up at him confused.  "Careful, careful, careful. Kay?  She asked for me. She's remembered."

Luis can't believe that Fancy is suggesting they play Strip Poker with his detective exam questions.  "Yes. If we miss a question, off comes a piece of clothing. And the last person wearing anything wins."  He looks confused now.  Fancy is suddenly sorry she suggested this.  He goes to the door and makes sure that it is secured.  She now is confused.  "Can't have anyone walking in on me and a totally naked prisoner, now can we? I'd lose my job."  She is positive that she will not be the one that ends up naked.  They go to the first question.

Kay is feeling dizzy.  Fox is just happy that she seems to remember him properly.   Tabitha turns happily to Siren.  "Bad news for you, fish breath. Kay's remembered her past life, which means your pursuit of Fox is over."  Siren knows that she isn't the only one that's getting bad news.  "If Fox and Kay get back together, that means Miguel will be free to find that Charity girl you're so frightened of. Doesn't that mean you and the little witch are done for?" Kay doesn't know what Fox is going on about with her remembering him.  She says that she only called out his name to tell him to stop bothering Miguel.  "He didn't tag me too hard.  You would never hurt me, would you, honey?" In fact, she says that Miguel didn't tag her at all.  She is safe!  Fox is finding this game unfair.  Tabitha says that all is fair in love and war.  Siren shouts out that Kay got a touchdown!  Tabitha enlightens her about touchdowns and how they have nothing to do with baseball.  Kay is sorry that Miguel isn't on a winning team. Siren tells Fox not to worry and that things will be alright soon enough.  He won't be happy until Kay is his again.

Tabitha watches and listens, knowing that Kay may get her memory back but that she might not be his ever again. Tabitha shouts that it is time to play ball!  Whitney reminds everyone that the bases are loaded so that they can be aware of what to do next when the next hit comes.  Jared is at the plate ready to hit.  Whitney hopes that Theresa keeps her head.  "You need to keep cool.  If Jared gets the hit, they win. But if you strike him out, we win."  Theresa flips her lid again when Jared calls her Tess…taunting her.  Whitney tells her to just relax.  She pitches and strikes him out.  Theresa did it!  The girls have won the game!

"Oh, you parked in the sun, and it's such a hot day. I'll bet driving home naked will be really uncomfortable," Fancy jokes.  "Boy, we are just completely confident here, aren't we Fancy?” says Luis. “Oh, God. Now, how are you going to explain it to your lawyer when you have to go home totally naked?" Fancy isn't concerned.  "Hmm, I'll tell him I was unnecessarily strip searched by my arresting officer, and you'll go to jail. But I'll visit you in prison."  They go over the rules and then the game starts.  The problem is that no one really wants to go first.  Fancy feels that he is nervous about this, but Luis says that he is fine. He pitches the first question to her.  "Here is some history. The first official modern police force was organized in what city and by whom?" Fancy thinks really hard and Luis feels that he has her on this one.  "Uh, I think...London, right? Yeah, by Sir Robert Peel. That's why they call the English policemen bobbies."  He is surprised. She got the answer.  She feels that was a simple one. Everyone knows that answer.  Now it is her turn to ask a question.  "Ok, "requests for a wiretap can be approved by, a, only a judge; b, only a judge or a district attorney; c, only a judge or the FBI; or, d, any of the above in an emergency?"   Luis gets it wrong.  He fumbles but it is too late.  "I'm sorry, Charlie. You're not the government, loser. So what's it going to be? I hope you're not picky and give me one shoelace."  Luis takes his shirt off. She is impressed with that.  Luis is still mystified as to how she knew her answer so well.  She admits that she cheated.

Miguel tells Jared that he should have listened at the beginning when he was told that the girls were good players.  "Well, I didn't know they were that good. Theresa, well, who would have thought a pretty little thing like that would be such an athlete."  Kay had a great time playing and would love to beat Miguel every day of the week.  She and Miguel say their 'I love you's'. Tabitha watches the couple,  knowing that Fox's hurt has just begun.

"You know, if you knew me, you'd know that I'd never say I told you so, but I told you so," Theresa jabs at Jared.  Jared isn't a poor sport and congratulates Theresa on her win.  "Thank you. And you don't have to worry, I'm not going to rub it in by, you know, reminding you that you lost because I struck you out."  He takes that on the chin smiling…  "Gee, thanks. Well, a bet's a bet. I believe I owe you a lobster dinner, so how's tonight sound?" Theresa is up for that and knows that she could easily eat a four-pounder.   "Well, I mean, I am completely amazed here. I really think Theresa has moved on. I mean, she doesn't even realize you're leaving."  Ethan is glad about this, he says.  He feels that this turn of events will be for the best.  Gwen genuinely smiles, liking what she is hearing. "Well, I hope the lobster dinners are a little cheaper in New England than they are in the city."  Theresa tells Jared that he doesn't have to buy her dinner really.  She just wanted to win and make her point.  "Uh-huh. Jared Casey does not welsh on a bet. You want a lobster dinner, you got a lobster dinner."  Theresa will go,  but has to go clean up first. Whitney sees things moving along well for her friend and believes that Ethan is a thing of the past.
