Eve enters her office and tells TC she’s ready to talk to him now so he can go ahead and tell her whatever it is he wants her to know. Liz sidles around behind him and whispers for him to give Eve the divorce papers and end it once and for all. He looks at Eve and she looks back at him, waiting.

Paloma and Jessica do a Mark commercial as Paloma walks to Tabitha’s house. As they enter the yard, Paloma says she feels bad that Simone, Kay, and Tabitha were arrested at the club the other night while Chad managed to get Paloma out before the police got there. She feels she has to apologize to them. Jessica leaves and Paloma knocks on the door, hoping they will forgive her. The three of them open the door and after some sarcastic remarks from Kay and Simone, Tabitha asks why she’s there.

Luis enters Pilar’s room saying he hadn’t seen anything of Martin or Mrs. Wheeler. Pilar wonders again why he left them, and Luis tells her it’s because he’s a coward, that he left his family and never tried to contact them in all the years since. Pilar says she doesn’t believe it, and Luis tells her that he admitted who he is. Pilar says that’s not it, she’s always known Martin was alive, always believed he would come back someday, but to have him return with no explanation as to why he left, why he was living next to Paloma all those years without telling her who he was, and who is Mrs. Wheeler. Sheridan tells her whoever the woman is, she is as innocent as Pilar, not having known he was a married man. Luis asks how she knows this, if the woman had told her something, but Sheridan says no, she’s just a good, compassionate woman and would never have gotten mixed up with a man who had abandoned his family.

At Sheridan’s cottage, Martin and Katherine are packing to leave Harmony. He says that if Luis comes looking for them, he will look in the main house first, so it’s a good thing she had told the staff to bring their bags to Sheridan’s house before they went out. She says she was just hoping to get a few more minutes to share with Sheridan, maybe have the chance to tell her who she really is and explain why she had left her. Martin tells her it’s a good thing she didn’t because if Alistair found out there’s no telling what he’d do to their loved ones. She asks if that’s not all the more reason to stay, so they can protect their families from Alistair’s wrath. Martin tells her no, as long as Luis doesn‘t know the whole story, he will be safe and so will Sheridan, so they need to get out of Harmony now. (commercial)

The girls at Tabitha’s front door look at Paloma. She says she knows they are mad at her and hopes they can forgive her. Kay asks why they’d be mad at her, and she answers that it’s her fault they got put in jail the other night. Simone says everyone there got put in jail because of her, and it was a good thing Tabitha was able to bail the three of them out because her dad would have killed her if he found out. Paloma tells them she’s sorry, she didn’t mean it to happen, she was just having fun. Kay is stunned that she thinks pitting one guy against another and it ending up in a barroom brawl fun. Paloma says again that she didn’t mean for it to happen. Simone asks how she managed to get away and not get arrested. Paloma tells her that Chad had been with her when they heard the police coming and he had gotten her out. Simone is upset that her newly found brother managed to save Paloma but left her to go to jail. Paloma apologizes again and asks if they can forgive her. Kay asks the others what they think, but neither knows. She says well, you may want to forgive her but I have other plans for her, pulling her into the house as Tabitha looks around to make sure the coast is clear.

Eve tells TC again to tell her what he wants to talk about. Outside, Julian tells a pacing Liz to just leave. She tells him she’s not leaving without seeing the look on Eve’s face when he hands her the papers. She goes to the office door, opens it, and looks inside as Eve asks TC one more time what he has to say.

Sheridan tells Luis she knows she’s right, that Mrs. Wheeler is not the type of woman who would stay with a man she knows is married. He tells her he doesn’t care what kind of woman she is, he just wants his dad to pay for all the pain he caused the family. Pilar says she just wants to know why Martin left them. She says she knows he loved them, she just wants to know why he left them without a word and why he lived with Paloma all those years without letting her know he’s her father. And she wants to know who that woman is. Sheridan says they will find the answers, and Luis calls the police department to see if they’ve found the Wheelers yet. He is told no, so he tells Sam to keep looking. He goes back to Pilar’s side wondering where they’ve gone and promising to get some answers when they are found.

Katherine tells Martin that for years she has fantasized about telling Sheridan what happened and that she would understand she left to protect the family. Martin tells her that she may be able to make Sheridan understand but Luis is different. She hates the things Luis said to him, the hatred he feels. Martin says he deserves all of it, but she says she hopes when they learn the truth he will be able to forgive him, be able to understand that he left to help her get away from Alistair who was so abusive to her and would have killed her, and that they had to stop Alistair from hurting their families. She says she knows Luis is a good man and will be able to understand why they left and forgive them, and she hopes it would be the same with Sheridan. She tells him they need to stay to explain things so everyone will stop hating them. She begs him to let them stay. (commercial)

Liz is still listening at the door but Julian pulls her away. He tells her she’s wasting her time because TC won’t give the divorce papers to Eve. He tells her that if he really wanted to divorce her he wouldn’t have brought the papers to her himself. He only brought them because he wanted to see her again, to try to work things out. Liz keeps saying no. Julian tells her that despite all everything she’s done to tear that family apart, it hasn’t worked because TC still loves Eve, and wants her back. He tells Liz he feels sorry for her because in spite of everything TC knows about Eve, he still loves her more than he could ever love Liz. She tells him that TC will love her, but Julian says no, she hasn’t learned her lesson, that every time she tries to beat Eve, she always loses. In the office, Eve notices the picture on her computer and realizes it’s the DVD she had made for their anniversary. She starts it over from the first, then watches it with him, commenting on how happy they were. They agree there are a lot of great memories. She tells him that although a lot has changed between them, one thing hasn’t and that’s the fact that they had a wonderful marriage and life. The look at the pictures of their daughters and she talks about how beautiful they are. She tells TC there were a lot of great memories and there can be more if he will agree to start over again.

Martin tells Katherine that they have discussed it over and over and there is no way they can stay there. Alistair couldn’t bear the humiliation of the world knowing that his wife left for one of his hired hands. She reminds him that they weren’t lovers until after they had run away, but Martin tells her Alistair doesn’t believe that and he doesn’t care. He says it’s bad enough that Luis and Pilar know who he is, but to have Sheridan find out who she is would be the last straw for Alistair. She says he can’t leave with all of them thinking he’s a coward or worse, but he tells her it’s better they should think that than have Alistair go on a rampage and destroy them all. Katherine tells him she doesn’t think it’s good for their families for them to take off again, that they should stay and tell them all the truth. They deserve it. Martin says if the rest of the truth comes out, they will all be destroyed. Katherine tells him she was just desperately hoping there would be a way they could stay but she really knows it can’t be.

Pilar says it must have been something big to make Martin walk out on them like he did. She reminds Luis he always thought Alistair had something to do with it, and Sheridan says she remembers Martin saying that. Luis says his father ran out on his family and there is no excuse for it. The phone rings and Luis answers it, then tells Pilar and Sheridan that the police found Martin. He is going to go confront him and Sheridan and Pilar both say they are going, too. Luis tells Pilar to stay in bed but she refuses and he helps her out of bed. (commercial)

Kay and Simone drag Paloma into Tabitha’s living room, saying she is sorry and asking what they are going to do to her. They both hug her and say they aren’t going to do anything, that they understand why she did what she did. Paloma wants to know what it is they understand and they tell her they understand she caused that scene at the dance. She says she did it because it was fun, but Kay tells her she did it because she was mad at her mother. Paloma is stunned, but they tell her they understand because they are both angry with their mothers, too. They explain that they know the whole story behind her being sent to Mexico, as does the whole town. She is embarrassed and upset that everyone knows about it, but Simone says it’s ok because the whole town knows her mother had a love child with Julian Crane, and Kay says that they all know her mother left the family with her first husband, so they both understand exactly how she feels. Simone says it messes with her mind and makes her do things she ordinarily wouldn’t do, then Kay says it makes you act wild so you can forget about how unhappy you are. Simone says it dulls the pain. Paloma says that is how it is, and that’s how she feels. She says sometimes the anger is so fierce inside her that she thinks she’ll explode. Tabitha, listening to the chatter, laughs with Endora, telling her Kay doesn’t care about Paloma’s hurt feelings, she just wants to score points to use if Miguel ever comes home. She tells her little imp that when she gets through with Paloma, the girl’s actions will make the night they got arrested look like a trip to Universal Studios. Then she tells her that when they unleash Paloma on Harmony, no one will be safe.

Eve shows TC the pictures of them at Universal Studios, when a shark jumped from the water and scared Eve, making her scream loudly. They laugh at the memory, then she tells him that when he took her in his arms she felt safe again. She says she’s always felt safe in his arms, then tells him she knows she’s hurt him and apologizes for the lies and the pain. She says the one thing she never lied about was her love for him, that she still loves him with all her heart, and that the love even showed in the pictures of them. She reminds him they had vowed to stick together through good times and bad, then says these are the bad times but there are many, many more good times ahead if he’ll give them another try.

Katherine hopes Martin is right and that they are doing the right thing. He agrees, but says he can think of nothing else to do, they have to leave and never come back. As they walk out the door they find Luis, Pilar, and Sheridan on the step, and Luis says “Oh, no. You aren’t going anywhere, Papa.” (commercial)

Liz asks Julian what kind of fool he thinks TC is. She says that even if he could forgive Eve for the lies he can never forget she was Julian’s whore. He tells her that TC is smart enough to realize what happened with him was over before he ever met Eve. She then tells him Eve’s daughter’s hate her, but Julian says they’ll work it out. Liz asks what’s wrong with him, when TC divorces Eve she’ll be free to be with him, and asks if that isn’t what he wants. He says what he wants is for Eve to be happy with or without him, but Liz tells him it will be with him because Eve is damaged goods and TC won’t have any part of damaged goods.

Eve tells TC to try to remember the good times they had. She says she knows she hurt him and did some awful things, and she’s very sorry, but now there are no more secrets and all he’s going to have from her from now on is her undying love and devotion to him and the girls. She says she knows they can make it work and that the girls will forgive her if he does. She asks if he can find it in his heart to forgive her.

Paloma says it’s amazing. She knew Chad turned out to be Simone’s mother’s love child, but she hadn’t known Simone had been in love with him before they knew. Simone says it’s true, even though it feels strange to think about now that she knows he’s her brother. She tells Paloma that’s why she got a little wild when she found out that her sainted mother had been Julian’s mistress. Kay tells Paloma that Dr. Russell was a great doctor and mother, the kind of mother who did nothing wrong. Simone talks about how TC always bragged about what a saint she was, the perfect wife and mother, and how the girls should be just like her. Kay says her dad said the same things about her mother, until her first husband showed up. They say that both their mothers turned out to be not what they had always thought they were. Simone says her mother turned out to be a slut and Kay says her mother tossed her and the baby out so she could take off with her first husband. Paloma is shocked. Tabitha mocks the girl’s pity party, saying that they aren’t telling the absolute truth. Kay tells Paloma that even though Pilar sent her away, she knows that she love her daughter. She says that Pilar felt she had no choice since she couldn’t afford all of them. Paloma says that’s what her mother had said, but she still wonders why her, why not Theresa or one of the others. Kay says maybe she thought it was best for her. She tells her that her own mother chose to leave their family and Simone says that her mother lied to them and tore the family apart, but that Pilar had no choice. She loved Martin and lit a candle for him every night, and she loved Paloma, too. They tell her never to doubt that.

Luis asks Martin if he’s going on a trip, running away from them again. He calls him a coward and says he makes him sick. Pilar tells him to stop, and they all move inside. As they go, Luis tells Martin to look at what he’s done to Pilar already, and asks if he wants to make it worse. He tells him there’s nothing he can do to make up for what he’s already done. Pilar tells him to calm down, it’s between her husband and her. She asks Luis to calm down and let her talk to Martin. She tells her husband she has some questions to ask him and she wants the truth, asking if he understands. He says he does. She asks why he left her, then says “Please, tell me why.” (commercial)

Tabitha giggles with Endora about how Paloma doesn’t seem to be buying the story that Pilar loves her so much. She says that’s good for them because Paloma will make a very good vessel for their side, they just have to wait for the right time to strike. Kay tells Paloma that her mother had to give her up, but her own mother didn’t have to. She talks about the times when she trusted her mother more than anyone, and remembers when she was small and felt so safe and loved, and how sorry she always felt for anyone who didn’t have a mother. Then Simone tells her how much she loved going to the hospital with her mother on Mother-Daughter work days. She was impressed by how everyone came up to her and asked her questions and gave her all this respect it made her very proud to be Dr. Russell’s daughter. Paloma tells them it sounds like they would love to have their mothers back again, and both girls agree, saying they’d give anything to have their mother’s back the way it used to be. Simone says she’d give anything if her Mom and Dad would get back together and they could be a family again.

Liz asks Julian what he would do if he were TC, telling him not to say he’d forgive and forget because she knows he divorced Ivy when he found out she’d had an affair with Sam Bennett. Julian says she lied about Ethan being his son, and Liz asks if he means the same way Eve had a son with him. He tells her that’s different because he didn’t love Ivy the way TC loves Eve. Liz spits out that he doesn’t love her anymore, and even if he did love her and forgave her for the lies and for having Julian’s love child, he would never be able to forgive her for the accident she caused. Julian tells her it was an accident, but Liz says accident or not, she was the one driving the car drunk, and that accident ended his hopes of having a tennis career. It was also the reason TC’s dad gave up the will to live, and that’s the one memory TC can never get past. Julian says that’s because she won’t let him forget, and she agrees. She says she wants to see Eve lose her husband, her daughters, and everything in her life as she knows it. She tells Julian that even though he said every time she competes with her sister she loses, but not this time.

Eve is still pleading with TC to give their marriage another chance. TC tells her the DVD is a wonderful anniversary present, so many great pictures. She says yes, and it had been hard deciding which pictures to put in it since there were so many great memories. He agrees, but says there is one picture she forgot to put in it. She asks which picture it is.

Pilar tells Martin to answer her and asks again why he left. Luis tells her not to bother since his father will only tell her lies. Pilar tells Luis to be quiet and let her talk to his father. Martin tells her he had to leave because he loved her, he had no choice. She said she had always felt something had happened that forced him to leave. She asks what it is that made him change his face, and he says he’s sorry. Luis yells that he’s lying through his teeth, but Pilar again shushes him. She asks why he didn’t contact them somehow in all those years, let them know he wasn’t dead. He tells her he didn’t want to put her in danger. She says she understands, then asks about Mrs. Wheeler, if she’s part of his cover. She says she can’t really be his wife because Pilar knows he would never betray their vows, that she was someone posing as his wife so he could stay under cover. (commercial)

Kay says she hates to admit it but she does miss her mother. Simone agrees. Tabitha tells Endora that all the maudlin hogwash about missing their mothers makes her want to barf. Kay tells Paloma that now that she has her own child there is so much more that she understands, and wants to share with her. Simone wishes she could somehow get back to the way it used to be with her mother, but she thinks it’s too late. She tells Paloma she can still have a good relationship with her mother, though. She tells her she has no idea how much she’d miss her mother if she lost her. Kay tells her to keep her mother near because if she doesn’t she’ll regret it. Paloma tells them she will think about it. Tabitha tells Endora that by the time she’s through with Paloma, her whole family will be in shambles, just like the Russells and Bennetts.

Liz wonders what’s going on in the room with TC and Eve, since she can’t hear anything. Julian prays that whatever is going on, Eve will be ok. TC raises his voice and tells Eve that the picture she forgot is of his dead father. Liz hears this and dances a jig back to Julian. “I told you he’d never take her back.” TC says his father is lying dead in his coffin and their marriage has as much of a chance of being revived as his father does. Then he says if that’s not good enough, he’ll say it another way. He tells her their marriage is over and he never wants to see her face again.

Pilar is waiting for Martin to explain Mrs. Wheeler. She says she understands that he had to leave to protect them, that he couldn’t contact them even once, but she is sure that Mrs. Wheeler isn’t really his wife because he would never betray their wedding vows. Luis asks her to calm down, that it’s obvious Martin has been with this woman for a long time. She tells Luis to let her talk to her husband, then tells Martin that in all the years he’s been gone there has never been another man in her life. He tells her they need to talk about this alone, but Pilar says no, Luis deserves to hear the truth and Sheridan is part of the family so she can hear it, as well, then asks again if that woman was pretending to be his wife all along. He won’t say anything so she pulls him aside and asks Katherine if she was just pretending, what was she doing with her husband. Martin tells her to leave Katherine alone, then tells Katherine he can’t go on any longer. He tells Pilar that this woman isn’t a cover, she is his partner, his wife. Pilar is horrified and falls to pieces, while Luis calls his father a bastard and tries to hold her up.

Previews: Kay to Simone: “Oh, my gosh, Simone, he says he’s coming home. Miguel’s coming home!”

Tabitha to Endora: “Paloma is primed to help the dark side. “

Katherine to Pilar: “I want to answer all of your questions.”

Pilar’s reply: “You whore!”, then slaps her
