Cole is in Rachel’s office at the drug rehab center when Sergei arrives and asks Cole why he is there since he works for Sergei now.
In the courtroom, Elijah asks Matthew why he thinks he has the maturity to make a decision of this magnitude. He asks if it was not his own bad judgment that put him in the chair in the first place. Téa objects on the basis that Elijah is basing his line of questioning on assuming facts that is not in evidence. Elijah says Matthew’s judgment is at the very center of the case. The judge allows Elijah to establish a foundation. Elijah asks Matthew about the night of the accident. He asks how he was thrown from the car if he was wearing his seatbelt.

At Nora and Clint’s house, Clint tells Natalie and Jared that Nora is in court and he wants to get over there. Natalie tells him that this can’t wait. Jared shows Clint the DVD that he received yesterday and tells Clint it is Nash’s death.
Meanwhile Nigel opens the door to David Vickers and his film crew. David tells him that the prodigal Buchanan son is back to stay.
Clint views the DVD and wonders how someone got their hands on such pictures. He asks Jared if someone mailed it to him. Jared replies that it was hand-delivered. The name on the logbook was unintelligible. He tried to chase the person but he was gone. He tells Clint that they went over the security tapes and found one picture, but no one could identify him. He shows Clint the picture, and tells him that the person did not have clearance to be in the building. Clint asks if Jessie knows about it, because it could destroy her.
At Rodi’s Jessica asks Brody how he knows it is not all in her head. He tells her that he fogged up the window that told him she saw the heart drawn on, and found the outline was still there. He tells her she is not imagining it, a real person is stalking her.
Cole tells Sergei that he works for him, but that does not mean he must explain every minute of his life. Sergei says it was just a friendly question. Cole asks how they can be friends if he doesn’t even know his name. Sergei tells Cole his name, and tells Cole to tell him why he is hanging out with the authorities. Cole tells Sergei that he wants to stay clean. He says his mom has a cop boyfriend and they expect him to stay clean and go to college. Cole asks Sergei why he is there. Sergei tells him that he has great interest in his life and recovery. He tells him that rehab is the competition. When Cole tells Sergei that there will be plenty of other customers, Sergei says that some of them are here at the rehab center. At Nora’s house, Nigel asks David if he has an appointment. David introduces Nigel to the camera as the loyal retainer to the Buchanans for generations. Nigel attempts to close the door. David pushes the door open as he says, “Dude!” Nigel says he is not, “by any known latitude of the word, a dude.” Ford, the producer thinks that line was genius and tells his assistant to write it down. While the camera is capturing the encounter, David says to Nigel “It is I, David Buchanan. You can no longer keep me from my birthright.” He turns t the camera and says Nigel prevented him from knowing that he was a Buchanan. Nigel says he was correct; David is not Asa Buchanan’s son. David concedes to the truth of that statement, continuing that he is the product of Bo Buchanan’s last stateside roll in the hay before going to war. Nigel tells David that he must leave. David says he has come back to his ancestral home, as en enters the house.
In the courtroom, Elijah asks Matthew if he seatbelt was defective or if it broke in the crash. Matthew answers no. He asks if his parents taught him to buckle up and if he knows it is the law. Matthew answers yes. Elijah asks again how Matthew was thrown from the car. Matthew answers that he was not wearing his seatbelt. Téa stands up and says to the judge that Elijah is harassing Matthew. Matthew is not responsible for the accident that paralyzed him. Elijah reiterates to the judge that it addresses Matthew’s judgment and maturity. The judge says she will allow it. Elijah asks Matthew why he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. Matthew says he wasn’t thinking. He explains that he was the butt of a joke at the school dance and he had to get out of there. Elijah concludes that Matthew ran out of the dance and jumped into the first car that he saw, and just didn’t buckle his seatbelt. Matthew protests that it didn’t happen like that. Elijah asks Matthew if he would call that sound judgment, if he would say it was a mature decision. Destiny stands up and says Matthew was not the one who made the big mistake, his parents did.
At Rodi’s, Jessica tells Brody that she knows herself and her selves; she could have drawn the heart on the window. Brody tells her that he has not noticed anything off about her. He asks her if she has had any signs. She says no, she hasn’t been losing time and she has been dealing with Chloe’s death. She has been handling everything until now. Brody asks her if she thinks she has been doing this to herself. She says no, she doesn’t think so, but that is why the heart of the window freaked her out so much. It was her thing with Nash; he drew the heart on her hand to say he loved her. It was the last thing he did before he died. She says that no one knew about the heart except for Nash, so he is the only one who would know to draw a heart on the window.
Nigel tells Ford that he must insist. David tells Nigel to relax; this will be fun. Nigel asks who these people are, and David says they are his three-man crew: Ford, Priscilla, and Markko. Ford and Priscilla hand Nigel their business cards; Markko tells Nigel he doesn’t have cards yet. David says they are bringing new jobs into the community. Nigel asks why. David tells him it is a reality television show. Nigel says he would die before he would allow David to make a mockery of the family.
Ford takes David aside and tells him this is not working; David promised crazy rich people. David reminds him that crazy rich people have surrounded them since they arrived in town. Ford tells him that does them no good if they can’t film them. David tells Ford that this is his family; they are good here. Ford asks why they didn’t come here first. David says he owed Dorian a shot at fame, and Viki and Jessica would have been seven characters. Ford asks if this family is boring. David asks if ford saw the moat. He tells Ford that his father is the police commissioner, his uncle is a genuine cowboy, his grandmother is an ex-madam at a brothel, and his little brother is the Tiny Tim of Llanview High. He tells Ford that they have expensive locations, a laundry list of characters, and if Ford insists, David will reluctantly take off his shirt. Ford tells David that his family seems to hate him. David says of course they do, but this is his family; they can’t kick him out. David and Ford go back inside and David asks Nigel who is home. Nigel tells David that he will not pass. David tells Nigel that if he does not move, David will make him move. Nigel stands his ground. Priscilla tickles Nigel to get him to move aside.
In the other room, Clint asks Jared if he thinks the DVD is someone’s idea of a sick joke, or if it is a threat that will lead to blackmail. Natalie says that everyone knows Nash’s death was an accident. Clint asks if anyone is out to get back at Natalie for it. David and his crew burst into the room. David greets “Uncle Clint.” Clint asks David what he is doing there, calling him Vickers. David corrects him that it is Buchanan now. Clint asks how he got in. Priscilla is still tickling Nigel. Nigel tells Clint that he tried to stop them. He says they are making reality TV programming. Clint tells Vickers that he does not have time for whatever he is doing so he and his little friends need to get out. He tells Nigel that he needs to have a word with him. Clint and Nigel leave the room.
David introduces “Cousin Natalie,” former trailer trash and pool hall hustler, now the dainty flower of the Buchanan house. He tells the camera that like Natalie he came to the Buchanan family picnic late. Jared pushes between David and Natalie and tells David to keep his hands off her, calling him a freak. David says to the camera, “Speaking of freaks,” these two were having sex while he was pretending to be her uncle. Natalie protests that Jared never touched her while he was doing that. David introduces Jared Banks, saying he came to town posing as the Buchanan heir. David tells about the time when David almost foiled Jared’s plan and Jared tied David up, half-naked, in the barn with the horses. Jared says he will do worse if David doesn’t leave his family alone. David tells him that they certainly know that Jared is capable of violence. He turns to the camera and says Jared pushed Natalie’s sister’s husband through a skylight and caused his death.
At Rodi’s, Brody tells Jessica that he saw her draw a heart on her baby’s casket, so maybe it wasn’t as secret as she thinks it is. Maybe someone else had noticed her and Nash using it before. He tells her that he tried to get a fingerprint, but it was too smeared. He assures her that there was a fingerprint; a human hand drew the heart. He concludes that someone real is messing with her. She tells him she has to go drop off Bree’s paperwork at the preschool. He tells her to be careful, and if she thinks someone is following her to call him immediately. She agrees, kisses him, and leaves.
Clint and Nigel reenter the room. Clint tells Markko to turn off the camera. He tells David that he knows that Nash’s death was an accident. David says that is Clint's story. He asks if it is true or if it is a mystery, a secret treachery that he will expose. Natalie asks David if he sent the DVD with pictures of Nash’s death. David asks if it was footage or stills. She tells him it arrived the same day that he did. Clint tells David he hopes he is not trying to make money off Nash’s death. David excitedly says vengeance from beyond the grave, jackpot! He concludes to Ford that they will kick ratings butt with it. Jared pushes David. Clint punches David. David falls to the floor. David says to the camera, “That’s how we roll; we’re the Real Buchanans of Llantano County.”
Jessica knocks on Madame Delfina’s door. Delfina says, “Come in, Jessica” without seeing who is at the door. Jessica enters and asks Delfina how she knew who it was. Delfina asks if she read the door. The sign says “Psychic Engineer.” Jessica asks if Delfina knows who she is. Delfina tells her she met Tess last summer and surmises that she is not around anymore. Nor is the prissy one with glasses. Jessica asks how she knows about Bess. Delfina tells her that maybe they should start at the door again; that might save some questions. Jessica tells her ok, she knows things. Delfina tells her yes, that is why people pay her. She tells Jessica that she knows she thinks Delfina is a fraud. Jessica tells her that her grandmother Renee Buchanan believes in her and said Delfina helped her reach her grandfather. Delfina says it wasn’t much of a conversation because Asa was making mischief that night; making the lights go out, and mixing up the couples’ names on the banner. Delfina tells Jessica that is not why she is here; it is about the other presence that was there that night.
At Nora’s house, Nigel asks Clint if he should call the police. Clint says he will handle it. Jared asks Clint if he needs help. Clint says no, this may be the only thing he enjoys today. He tells Jared and Natalie to find Jessica and warn her about the DVD. As she is leaving, Natalie tells Markko to be careful and stay out of the crossfire.

She says she will bunch all of their classes together so that Starr will only be in school five hours. Starr protests that it will be hard to study. Langston tells her she will help her. Langston asks her what she wants. Does she really want to drop out? Starr says she doesn’t know what she wants to do. She just wants to see Cole. Elijah concludes to Matthew that he was upset about Becca and Justin so he forgot to buckle up. Matthew says yes.
