One Life to Live Update Monday 10/20/03

Kelly comes to see Dorian, has Dorian as invited Kelly’s brother to stay there and she likes him. He should get half a chance. He is intelligent and sweet just like Kelly. Kelly is snippy as Kevin is working. Kelly doesn’t want to hear this. She is alone but Dorian is alone too. Dorian isn’t alone. Blair will be home anytime now. Kelly thinks that Blair should marry Walker. Kelly tells Dorian that the Justice of the Peace is marrying Walker and Blair that day.

Flynn talks to his associate Malcolm. The men share a drink in Flynn’s office as they discuss what is about to happen next. They discuss Todd marrying Blair and how Flynn is going to make thinks worse than ever for Todd. Flynn has some plans regarding them and he intends to carry it out as soon as possible. When he is done with Walker and Blair, she is going to drop him like a hot potato. He wants to see Mebane right away and Malcolm leaves to get the man.

Cristian stands by as Natalie plays pool for the crowd, and she is doing wonderful. The crowd at the casino clap at her every shot and can’t wait for the next one. Jessica is very proud of her sister and watches intently. She really is very good at what she has chosen to do…

John is watching Natalie too and that is when Malcolm comes to get him for Flynn.

Walker calls Flynn to tell him that he has wired the money out to him. Flynn wants cash delivered in person by Todd. He has no chance, as his little masquerade will be over…

…Todd hangs up and rings Dorian’s doorbell. Dorian answers to Walker who tells her that he wants money…lots of money and she is to give it to him. He reports that Blair will not marry him. He wants her to give him $500,000 in cash right now. She smiles at the request and the rude way that it has been made…

…Dorian wants to know what makes Walker think that she is going to give him this money. If she loves Blair, he is sure that she will do it. She doesn’t trust him though. He tells her that he would do anything to make Blair and her children happy. Blair always picks the wrong men.

Kelly goes to see her brother. Dorian didn’t tell him that she was coming by. He was going to leave the room but she tells him to stay. He knows no one in town and she is his only family and she reminds him of himself. He is sorry that he has showed up on the doorstep like he did. Her life is complicated right now and he only complicates things more. He would like to help her if he can.

Natalie is in the heat of the moment, trying to make an incredible shot and she does it. That particular game is over now. She can’t be beat, it seems. The crowd claps some more. They love her. She is even better than the last time a few minutes ago. She seems to be building momentum, as she continues to play better and better. The game is over and Cristian and Antonio leave to get the group drinks for the following games…

…Natalie can see that things are great between Antonio and Jessica. They are almost as happy as Natalie is with Cristian. Jessica confirms that. Natalie is going to win the tournament for them…

…Malcolm shows up and tells Natalie of her next competitor. A very serious looking woman stares at Natalie from across the room. Malcolm can’t stress enough how important this win is to Natalie. Malcolm reminds her that she has to win this as the boss wants her in the finals and the boss gets, what the boss wants…

…Max shows up to talk to Natalie during her break in the tournament, and he hears her talking to Malcolm. She tells him that he shouldn’t have come all the way there, but he assures her that this is good for him to be out and about. She likes that he has come. That is more support for her. Max guarantees that she is going to win…

…Natalie is going to win the tournament for Al too…

…Bo tells Nora that Gabrielle has taken a room at the palace. Does she know that he loves her? Nora sees Gabrielle behind Bo and tells him that he should tell her that he loves her now…

…Marcie and her brother discuss Al and how they were for keeps. He can see that she still has him on her mind all the time and nothing else. From the moment that they first kissed, it was fate for Al and Marcie. She starts crying again as she can’t bear the memories, and she gets up from the table to leave the room, clearly upset. Her brother stops her and holds her to calm her down and give her something to hold on to.

Dorian used to like Walker just fine before, but then things go serious very fast and that was when she backed off as this guy was clearly after something else that she wasn’t about to turn over. That seems to bother her, even now that he has gotten himself involved with Blair. She feels that her niece isn’t a good judgement of character and so Dorian is going to be that for her. She doesn’t trust Walker mostly for what he did to his own brother. She worries that Blair is going to be hurt by this man. Todd tells her that he will do anything to keep the children and Blair happy. Dorian wants to take 15% for the money being lent to him. Blair isn’t to be told of this. He will give up his share of The Sun if he isn’t able to pay this money back.

John assures Flynn and that Natalie isn’t going to be a problem and neither is Cristian. John is warned not to make any mistakes. He will be the loser if anything goes wrong.

A man approaches Cristian asking him to bet on Natalie to win. Cristian isn’t comfortable with that. The man says that if he bet on his wife, he will be giving her confidence. It is clear that Cristian has no interest in what the man is selling, and so the man walks off to talk to others in the crowd…

…John is back in the casino and he goes over to Jessica and introduces himself. He knows that Jessica is Natalie’s sister. John says that he is there so that Natalie will not lose her focus…

…Jessica goes over to Antonio and starts kissing him. She didn’t like talking to that John character. John watches them and has a sad moment to himself where he almost seems human.

Blair answers her phone and it is Dorian saying that she knows that Blair didn’t get married. Blair was going to call Dorian, but she was sure that the woman would understand and she didn’t want Dorian to talk her out of the marriage. Walker come to see Dorian and… Blair will not listen to anymore and she hangs up…

…Walker enters the house and learns that Blair has been on the phone with Dorian just now. She had gotten off the phone quickly in order that she wouldn’t have to listen to Dorian go on and on about what a mistake she is making with this man. He says that he went to talk to Dorian and tell her himself that the wedding was going to happen and that they didn’t go through with it. Blair is feeling very warm to him for being so thoughtful. Walker tells Starr to go to sleep now, as it is clear that Blair is feeling frisky. The child runs off happily, even though she didn’t get the wedding that she wanted…

…Walker tells Blair that his brother has called and that he has to fly to Vegas the next day. He promises to come right back. Blair would like to go with him.

…Natalie is getting more and more nervous about the upcoming game. It almost feels like the more that she wins, the more she is sure that she is going to lose. Max tells her that she only has to focus on one ball at a time. If she thinks that she has confidence, she will. Max is there for her as he can’t be there for Al. The competitor is very good. Max knows the woman woman is very good and has a good game. Natalie only has to do this one shot at a time…

…Natalie makes the first shot for the next game. Max stands by for her to give her support. It is a bad shot. Malcolm tips his head and shakes it.

Bo goes to talk to Gabrielle at the bar, and ask her about her moving out the way that she did. She has to do this herself and that was why she had to leave him. He can’t help her right now. She can’t turn into herself. Al wouldn’t want her to but she can’t help it. Bo would like to go through together. She reminds him that he still has a son. She can’t grow up thinking about she and Al and what they used to have, while Bo raises his son.

Natalie is missing the balls terribly. It seems like there is a different person playing the game at this point. The crowd ooohs….and aaahs…There is a break and Max gives her a ring. It is a graduation gift that Max bought for Al. She puts it on for good luck. She turns to see her competitor miss her shot. It is Natalie’s turn again.

Nora talks to Marcie’s brother and asks him to stay a while. He will. He thought that she was coming out of this but now he isn’t all that sure.

Marcie is outside and Al comes to her. She is better now. She wants him to hold her in his arms and kiss her. He tells her to close her eyes…she feels his arms around her…she feels his lips on hers, kissing her…She can feel it all this way. The tears fall down her cheeks as she looks up into his beautiful face.

Kelly is ready to leave the hose, but Dorian stops her to tell Kelly and her brother that Blair is still single. Dorian thinks that this is good news, but Kelly couldn’t possibly think that. Kelly should be worried as Blair is still single and Kevin has the eye for her. Kelly suggests that her brother keep Dorian busy and out of her business…

…Kelly leaves and Dorian offers Paul a drink but he doesn’t want one. She finds that very suspicious. Did he have a problem with drinking at one time or another? He tries to skirt the issue but the truth is that he had a problem once and he isn’t going to let that happen again, so drinking for him is out of the question.

Walker and Blair get cosy and Blair discusses them getting a room and leaving the kids and everyone behind sounds like a good idea, since Walker has to go to Las Vegas anyway. Walker tells her that he will do it. They will go together. What reason could he have for not bringing her? He sends her upstairs to pack while he makes the reservations…

…Once Blair is gone, Walker gets papers out of the fireplace…

…Starr has been listening secretly to her parents talk, and she worries about Blair going with him to Vegas where everything will be found out. He has to protect his identity.

Flynn is upset that Natalie is losing the game. Malcolm tells him that he should relax. Malcolm doesn't want Flynn getting angry with him over this. The phone rings.

Natalie wins the game and shares a drink with Max. She couldn’t have done it without him. She returns the ring that Max gave her to win the game. He sends her upstairs to rest…

…Natalie walks off and John stops her from leaving. He tells her that she did pretty good just now. He tells her that the next day she is to lose the game. She refuses to do as he tells her and so he roughs her up a bit. She isn’t going to throw everything away for him. John tells her that if she doesn’t go to the tournament the next day, she will not have a life. If Cristian finds out about this, both of them will not have a life.

Natalie makes it to her room where Cristian is waiting with champagne. She tells him that she shouldn’t have broken the mirror before the wedding. Cristian says that she shouldn’t worry about anything. She must be having the jitters. He sits her on the bed and rubs her shoulders. They start kissing and soon fall on the bed.

Gabrielle tries to make Bo see that he has done nothing to cause what is happening to them. She begs him to leave her and he finally does.

Kelly enters the restaurant and finds Nora with Ron. Nora leaves and he asks Kelly to sit with him…

…Gabrielle comes to Nora and tells her that she has hurt Bo. She would like Nora to do something for her. She has hurt Bo and she would like Nora to be a friend to Bo more than ever. Nora will do that. Gabrielle goes running off.

Marcie is outside the restaurant talking to Al. He would like her to believe in miracles.

Ron and Kelly talk to the waitress and they order drinks. Kelly tells him that she and Blair once threw cosmopolitans at each other once as they were fighting over a man.

Blair comes down and finds Starr on the living room couch rubbing her stomach, saying that she hurts. Starr’s forehead really is hot. Blair takes her temperature…

…Walker comes down and learns that Starr says that her stomach hurts. AS Blair’s back is turned, Starr dips her temperature into a cup of hot coffee and makes the mercury rise. Blair knows that she can’t go to Las Vegas now…

…Blair leaves to call the doctor and Todd thanks his daughter for what she did.

Paul relates how he was in the military and he get involved with a girl that was real trouble and he learned a lesion and never again. He has no idea what happened to the girl and he doesn’t want to know. He has to leave now but she would like him to stay there. She is being nice to him as he is the first person that has been considerate to her all day. There were to be 2 weddings that day and she wasn’t invited to neither of them.

Cristian wakes and finds a note on Natalie’s pillow. It is late. She wrote that she has gone to practice. Cristian gets up and grabs the phone to place a bet on the final the next day…”Natalie Vega, to win…”

John and Natalie are at the pool table and she tells him that she doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. That is why she will throw the match the next day. He tells he that he will help her learn to make it look like she really threw it.
