Flash practices but can’t stop coughing. Riley comes to see her and tells her that the secretary from the hospital called him to inform her she needs to go back to the hospital for more tests. She chooses the avoid them. R.J. calls and wants to book them for another gig. Riley worries about her throat but she assures him not to. Then he asks her what’s going on with the rev and she says she doesn’t know. He then asks about what she hasn’t mentioned C.J. lately and she replies that she’s been busy. They go to the community to see Joey and get a bite to eat.

Joey tells Jen he’s surprised she showed up and she admits she was at the train station buying a one-way ticket to New York and doesn’t know why she came back. Troy brings Joey some donations from the clinic and Troy asks Jen how she’s doing. Then Troy asks Joey about Flash and asks him to have her call him at the clinic. Jen finishes her list and asks if she can leave now. He says he knows from experience that you can’t run away from yourself and she replies that since he’s a minister he’s an amateur at screwing up. He informs her that he did all of her screwing up after her wife left him for his brother. He tells her that he drank a lot when he was in Europe and when she asks, he offers that few people know about his overseas behavior. She’s surprised to hear that he’s human but believes she still has him beat in the screw-up department. He says he’s heard a little bit about she and Cristian. She fills him in that she got pregnant with another man’s baby and passed it off as Cristian’s and then had a miscarriage. He touches her shoulders, to comfort her, and Flash walks in, looking jealous. Flash coughs and passes out. Joey grabs her and carries her away.

Mitch asks his wife to come to bed with him and she says that she’s not feeling very romantic because of Craig’s death. She attempts to convince him that she really does want to be with him and he asks for forgiveness for his doubts. She explains that she wants everything to be perfect and not hurried and he shows impatience. She assures him he won’t have to wait for very long, and agrees to come back later in the night. They kiss passionately.

Natalie and Viki discuss Natalie’s cooking abilities. The phone rings and the police inform Viki about Craig’s death. She plans to get Jessica out of Llanfair. Natalie calls Cristian down and they inform him of the situation. Viki searches for her keys. Antonio takes Jessica to her mother’s home and tells Jessica she’s a material witness and she has to either stay with her mother or in a holding cell. She tells him to stop trying to run her life. Jessica asks what she’s supposed to tell Mitch and reminds Antonio that she needs to be there for Mitch because she’s the only one he trusts. She comments that she’ll be back at Llanfair in forty-eight hours but Antonio hopes that Mitch will be behind bars by then. He won’t discuss the investigation with her and promises her he won’t let up until Mitch is behind bars. At his persistence she goes inside and her family falls over her. Jessica tells her mother she’s there for a visit, not for good. She says it’s because Mitch and Dorian need their privacy. She calls her father and tells him that Viki’s been lonely lately so she’s going to spend the night there. He offers to send someone to pick her up and asks if it’s about Craig’s death. She says that it isn’t and she tells him she’ll be back tomorrow. He tells her he hasn’t forgotten how important to him a pledge of loyalty is.

The family eats dinner and Viki tells Jessica that she wants her to stay at home. Natalie offers to talk to her. Viki reiterates that Mitch can’t be trusted but she reminds her mother that Mitch is her father. Natalie asks Jessica if she’s okay and Jessica informs her as to why there’s a cop hiding outside. They discuss Craig’s death and Mitch’s potential part in it. Jessica suggests that maybe she’s just looking for a reason to hate Mitch. Jessica confides in her the sight of blood on his sleeve and where it came from and adds that she told Antonio. She explains that she’s the only one Mitch trusts and wants to use it to get everything back for the family. Natalie tells her twin that she’s got guts and should go ahead with her plan to take Mitch down, but only under one condition. Jessica disagrees with the condition, allowing Natalie to help, because Mitch hates her and would kill her if he ever found out. Natalie persists, offering to be Jessica’s back up, and then they discuss Dorian and why she’s there. Natalie offers to cover for Jessica to get her to sneak back to Llanfair but Cristian overhears them scheming and wants to know what’s going on. The phone rings, it’s Judge Grafton for Viki, and he asks her to meet him at his chambers about Victor’s will. Cristian wonders if it’s a trap and insists on going with her. When they arrive, they find blood on the carpet. Jessica and Natalie sneak back into Llanfair.

Blair and Troy finalize plans for their date and he expresses concern for her in regards to her aunt and the new husband. She reassures him. Dorian asks Blair for help but she swears she’s going out with Troy this evening. Her aunt begs her, before Mitch gets too suspicious, and adds that she can’t do this without her. Blair worries about not seeing her children grow up if all of this continues. Then she reminds her aunt that she already helped her obtain the diamond and they didn’t even do anything intelligent with it like having a replica made. Dorian hugs her for being so brilliant, and then tells Blair that she needs to find someone to be her replacement in bed. Dorian hires a woman, Marla, to sleep with Mitch instead of her, offering half the fee beforehand and half afterward. Marla asks Dorian if she’s staying to watch but she assures her she has better things to do with her time. Blair interrupts and tells her aunt that Mitch will care this woman if she gets caught. Marla assures them that she kind of likes the blind thing because it’s kinky. Marla tells them she’s not a street girl and doesn’t need to risk her life to make a buck, and therefore asks if there’s something she should know. Dorian asks how dangerous a blind man can be.

Antonio asks Blair what she knows about Craig’s death and she divulges nothing. He admits that he saw her on the grounds yesterday and adds that it seems strange that she was arguing with Dorian since she hates her. She comments that he wasn’t in the room and therefore doesn’t know what they were saying and adds that she doesn’t hate her aunt but is rather trying to get her to stop making her most recent stupid mistake. He asks her if she’s in a hurry and she replies that it’s not a good time but he asks to have a seat so they can discuss her whereabouts at the time of the murder. She asks if she’s a suspect. She says she knows nothing about him or how he got stabbed. She explains that the local news is having a field day with it. He wants to know why she’s changed her mind about helping them with a man who tried to kill her. She says she doesn’t like to be terrorized. She admits that her aunt asked her not to go after Mitch. He believes it can only be one of three things, her aunt bought her off, she’s to terrified to show her face in court, or she’s planning to take care of Mitch all by herself.

Blair tells Antonio that he’s out of line and offers to have him brought up on charges of harassment. She opens the door for him and Troy walks through it. Troy asks Antonio if there’s a problem and Antonio warns him to get out of his face. Troy asks him what’s wrong with him and he informs Troy that Blair’s going after Mitch all by herself and Troy’s really a friend he’ll give her the same advice that Antonio just did. Blair’s surprised to see him and asks for a rain check on the evening. He asks her if Antonio was right.

Lois brings Mitch some fresh towels. He knows it’s her, although she says nothing, because she pauses at the top of the stairs to catch her breath and then she clears her throat, and also slightly scuffs her feet. She tells him that she’s sent everyone home and wishes him a lovely evening. Dorian and Marla plot their scheme and Mitch calls for his wife. Dorian enters Mitch’s room and takes the glass of champagne. She asks him to wait just a little longer so she can go get what it is that she bought for this evening. Marla comes out and begins to seduce Mitch. Marla leaves the bed and the home, taking the money with her and allowing Dorian to sneak into the bed with her husband. They exchange compliments and then he asks her to make love to him. He says he wants to make love and when she says that they just did he demands to know who the whore was that she sent to their bed.
