One Life to Live Update Wednesday 12/11/02

Emily tells Troy that Lindsay is on her way there to meet a client. She wants to know how her brother is planning to stop Lindsay and he promises to inform her in due time. Lindsay finds Troy looking at a magazine about California. He tells her that he’s moving to California as soon as she ruins his life in Llanview regarding Nora. He adds that he just wants to be prepared for when Nora hears the news and feels hurt and betrayed. He doesn’t want to stick around and add to it. She asks why California and he relies that he can’t go back to Africa. He asks why she even cares, as long as he’s far away, and assures her that as soon as Nora knows, she’ll never have to see his face again. She assures him that it will be the best day of her life. Upon his asking, she insists that she knows what it’s like to really be in love. He swears that until Lindsay takes the option away, he’ll be with Nora for as long as he can. He gets in her face and comments that he’ll never give her what she wants, so she’ll just have to take it from him. Finally, she leaves.

Jen decorates her Christmas tree and throws the ornament with a picture of she and Cristian on the floor and breaks it. Nora interrupts with a visit to the door, with a Christmas gift in hand. Nora is about to go when Jen stops her and asks if she and Troy are okay or if her mother has done something. Nora tells Jen that she’s worried about Lindsay and what she may do to she and Troy. Nora reminds her of the trip to Miami and adds that she believed it was Lindsay finally trying to make a change. Jen remembers where her mother really went to instead, and why. Nora says that Lindsay has been stalking them. Jen asks Nora to leave, and makes up an excuse, and Nora first asks if Jen’s mother is in love with Troy. Jen assures Nora that it’s impossible considering that he put her in prison, which made her completely miserable.

Nora informs Jen of all the evil things Lindsay has done recently. Jen is surprised to hear that Lindsay has had a copy of the amulet made. Jen reminds Nora that Troy betrayed her mother and there’s no turning her back for her. Nora apologizes for putting Jen in the middle and then leaves. Outside, Lindsay stops her and demands to know what she was doing there. Nora explains herself, wishes Lindsay happy holidays, and is surprised when there’s no snappy comeback. Lindsay walks past her, to Jen, and Jen immediately tells her that Natalie got married to someone who isn’t Cristian. Lindsay responds by asking what Nora was doing there and Jen gives her the same answer that Nora had, only adds that she also asked a lot of questions. Lindsay asks what Nora wanted to know and Jen informs her that Nora thinks she’s been acting weird since her return from Miami. Jen assures her that they don’t disclose each other’s secrets. Jen also suspects that whatever her mother is doing is working. Jen wonders why her mother cares if Nora gets suspicious.

Emily informs her brother that Lindsay practically tripped over her on the way out the door. He in turn tells her how well it went. Emily wonders what Troy is doing to her and he assures her that he hasn’t done anything so far and may not have to. Nora sees Troy at the palace and they are thrilled to see one another. He asks her to do some Christmas shopping with him, drink some eggnog, and then go back to her place and light some Chanukah candles. She observes that he’s in a really good mood and he assures her that it’s because he loves the holidays. Then Nora asks what’s going on between he and Lindsay.

Keri and Antonio rush to the hospital and Dr. Cockland tells her that she and the baby are both fine, but, she is concerned. She continues on, to tell her that the baby may be mentally or physically challenged. Keri asks what she can do to give the baby a better chance and Dr. Cockland says that she has to run more tests to see if the variant is hereditary. She asks to see Liz’s medical records and goes to see if they’ve arrived. Keri asks Antonio to call Liz, R.J., and Hank. He agrees, after an attempt to comfort her. He catches up to the doctor to ask if Keri is at any risk to which she replies that the only one at risk is the baby.

R.J. and Liz get reacquainted, hand in hand, and fondly reminisce. She suddenly reminds him that it’s all in the past and he recognizes that they are really talking about the future. He says that they’ll be sharing a son-in-law and will soon share a grandchild too. She points out that their connected because of Keri. She asks if that’s the only future he was referring to and he doesn’t know what else he could have possibly meant. They agree to try to get to know each other, really for the first time. They’re interrupted by a telephone call from Antonio asking for she, he mother, and her uncle to come to the hospital. Liz rushes out and tells R.J. to call Hank.

Antonio returns to Keri and she admits to her fear. He comforts her with kind words and they reminisce about their relationship thus far. He promises to spend the rest of his life with her. Then Dr. Cockland comes in and tells them that she’ll get a blood sample from Liz now and that she will also need one from the father. Keri reminds the doctor that her stepfather is dead. The doctor asks Liz for a sample of her blood and asks if there’s any way to get a chromosome sample from the father. She further asks if the fertility clinic has a blood sample on record. She goes to call and Dr Cockland tells them to relax while they wait to be informed. Keri gets scared and Antonio again attempts to comfort her, and then he adds that he just wants Keri to be okay. Liz frantically runs into Hank and fills him in. He holds her, and R.J. walks in. R.J. asks what’s going on and asks about his daughter. Hank thanks his brother for the call and he says he did it because it was Liz wanted. R.J. then sees his daughter, who’s thrilled to see him, and for once he agrees with Antonio; he just wants Keri to be alright. Meanwhile Keri tells Hank that she has to tell Antonio the truth id it’s critical to her baby’s health.

Addie asks Blair if the man who helped her is a special man. Blair responds by saying she has to go and if anyone asks about the visit, it was just a dream. Her mother asks her if she’s in some kind of trouble? She tells her that she’s not, and laughs when Addie observes that she’s having ‘heart trouble’. Todd makes fun of Addie outside and when Hank presses the issue of why’s he there, he makes up some excuse about Starr and a Christmas pageant. He says he figured he’d bring Addie since he can’t bring Blair, and is dressed up like a nun because it’s not Addie’s day for visitors. Hank asks if Todd realizes he was going to “kidnap” Addie and he says he didn’t do it. He tells Todd that he’s got him on criminal trespass and defraud but then leaves suddenly due to receiving a phone call from R.J. about Keri. Blair says her good-byes.

Blair is angry for nearly giving her away. Todd tells Blair to relax and she does, and then admits that she was overreacting. She makes fun of him as a ‘holy woman’ but thanks him for making her able to see her mother. He makes it known that Sam couldn’t have done what he just did. Blair says she can’t wait until she can go out in public again and he counters by saying that he can’t wait until he can have his room back. She goes off to get ready for the air mattress and they undress at the same time. She watches him and when he can’t undo the buckle on his costume he asks her for help. She does, but they stumble, and they end up on the bed together, Blair on top of Todd, and not getting up very quickly.
