One Life to Live Update Thursday 6/21/01

Max walks by in the hall and overhears Asa Gabriella having a heated argument because she spent too much money while out shopping. Asa tells her that he has a hunch that their marriage is thru before it even starts. They continue to argue very loudly. Asa asks for his credit cards back, Gabby gives them to him. Asa turns to leave, Max high tails it out of the hallway just before Asa walks out. Max makes sure the coast is clear and then walks into the room with Gabriella. He asks her if there is trouble in paradise. Gabby tells him not to worry about her and Asa. They argue about whether the marriage is really in trouble or not. Gabby assures Max that their marriage will work. Max tries to warn her that Asa could just throw her out like yesterdays trash. She asks him if that happened, would he care? He tells her because of Al hating him so much he doesn't care about her or Asa. Asa re-enters the room yelling at Gabby again about all the stuff she bought. Max looks smug, and says he is leaving. Gabby and Asa celebrate that their fight went over so well. Max totally believed the whole thing again.
Roseanne goes back to Senora and shows her a picture of Antonio. She wants Senora to make Antonio love her. Senora tries to guide her again, that she is doing the wrong thing. The man doesn't love her, but Roseanne persists. Senora relents and tells her than she might be able to do something. Senora hands her a vial and tells her that it is a 'love potion'. Roseanne doubts it, but Senora berates her again. Senora 'feels' that she wants to test it on someone else first. Roseanne thinks about who she will try it out on.
Senora tells her that she now only has half a soul. Roseanne is upset. She decides to test the potion on Kelly. If Kelly falls in love with someone else besides Kevin, it will ruin her life.
Jen seems to be alone in the motel room. She thinks of Cristian and her at the rock quarry again. There is a knock on the door. She asks who it is. Room service is the answer, she tells them she didn't order anything. The knocking persists. She opens the door, it is Cristian. Jenn asks how he found her. He tells her about the call to Antonio. He asks if he can come in, she hesitates but finally agrees. Chris asks her why her mother whisked her away when Sam is on trial. She tells him that her father wanted her away too. Chris asks her if her father or mother told her that, when she says her mother told her, he tries to point out to her that Lindsay isn't always that truthful. He tries again to get her to open up to him. He knows her mother is messing with her head, he tells her that she will not push him away. She asks him to leave, he says okay. She has his numbers, just to call him. He drops a hint about her going back to Llanview with him. She asks if he thinks she should. Jen brings up again that she split her parents up. Chris finally convinces her that it wasn't her fault. She tells him she is glad he came after her. He asks for her decision. She says if she does, it would mean that she would have to tell everyone who the killer is.
Nora is still in the hall way listening to Sam and Ben argue in the courtroom. Ben is trying to get Sam to admit that it was Will that killed Colin. He goes over again about the search warrant of Wills place. Sam points out that all they found were his own boots. Ben tells him all about the passport, and that Will burned it. Nora walks a way from the door of the courtroom, and ends up in earshot of Bo asking Will if he is the real killer. Nora realizes with horror that the killer was really Will.
In the courtroom Sam is angry and tells Ben to stop blaming Will. Ben tells Sam he got all this info from Jess. They argue loudly about Will being the real killer. Ben says this is the evidence Nora needs to save Sam's life. Sam threatens him that he will disown him as a brother if he tells Nora anything. Ben says he is going to get Nora. Sam tries to stop him and Ben pulls away. He heads out and runs right into Will coming into the courtroom. Will wants to know what is going on. Ben tells him that he trying to stop his brother from going to jail for something he didn't do.
Back in the hall, Bo is still questioning Will. Will takes up and attitude with him and asks Bo why RJ isn't in jail for hiding the body...could it be because he is the district attorney's brother. Bo tries to warn him not to make accusations against the DA when he is so heavily under suspicion. Will asks if he can go. Bo says yea, and walks away.
Bo finds Nora in the hall. She is reeling from the realization that it is Will. Bo tells her she can get Sam off in that courtroom. She tells him if she does, it will destroy Sam. She walks away. Bo stares after her, confused. He follows her. He wants to understand why she thinks she will be destroying Sam. Nora points out that in order to free Sam, she has to point the finger at someone else. If she does that he will hate her. Bo points out that she can not be a friend and a lawyer right now. She has to be his lawyer. Bo gives her good advice. She listens.
In the hall, people are starting to arrive for the beginning of the trial. Jess and Al walk in together. Jess thanks him for coming with her. Al offers his support before they enter the courtroom. Jess and Will exchange looks, and she walks by him. Hank has arrived. Sam is at the defense table. They announce the Judge, she enters and tells all to be seated. She is anxious to start, she wants to know where Nora is, Nora comes running in to the courtroom. The Judge admonishes her. Hank gives his opening statement. Nora gives her opening statement. She sits down. Hank calls Bo as the first witness. Hank questions him about Sam's confession. Bo testifies that Sam admitted to killing Colin.
They introduce the written confession into evidence, the fire place poker, and Sam's boots. Hank is thru, Nora cross-examines. Nora points out that most 'guilty' people wipe murder weapons to wipe your own prints off. She also gets Bo to admit that he does not believe that Sam is the killer, he believes Sam is covering up for someone. Bo steps down. Sam complains to Nora that she was not supposed to point the finger at any other suspect, he asks her if they still have a deal. The judge asks Hank to call his next witness. He calls Will. Will takes the stand. Nora turns to look at Bo, who looks at her before leaving the courtroom.
Kelly is coming down the stairs at Todd & Blair's new home, yelling back up the stairs for them to stop fighting before they split the house in two. The door bell rings, it is Andrew. He points out to Kelly that there are clothes all over the front yard. Kelly says it is Blair and Todd unpacking. Andrew enters the house. He compliments Kelly on a recent article of hers that she read. They hear all kinds of crashing and furniture moving from upstairs. They joke back and forth about getting an exorcism done. More crashing noises from upstairs. Andrew tells Kelly that he is putting together an organization to go to Africa to do research, and to help the people over there who have aids. Kelly asks if he has found someone to go to Africa and head the organization. He says he has, it is why he is there to see her. Kelly thinks he means her, he says no, he means he is going to Africa. He thinks it would be a good idea for Kelly to go with him for just a few months. She could write and article about it. Cassie is in Africa, Kelly worries that she never told Cassie that her and Kevin got together. Andrew assures her that Cassie will be happy for her. Andrew asks to use the phone in the other room, Kelly says of course. The door bell rings, it is Roseanne. She says came by to thank Kelly for 'forcing' her to tell Antonio the truth. Roseanne asks if they can have a drink and talk. Kelly isn't falling for it, and says no.
