Michael and Carlos were in an elevator at GH. Carlos spotted AJ's death certificate in Michael's hands. He remembered seeing Michael on the day Carlos broke into AJ's and attempted to kill him. Michael noticed Carlos staring at him, so Carlos seized the opportunity to ask Michael about the case. Carlos gave Michael his condolences, then he said he'd been following the case on the news and was curious if the cops had any leads. Michael told Carlos that the cops were closing in on the man who broke into AJ's house and tried to kill him. Carlos kept his cool and said he read that the burglar was masked. Michael replied that the cops had a way to unmask him. Carlos asked Michael for specifics, but at that point, the elevator stopped at Michael's floor and he got off. Carlos looked worried.

Shawn was dismayed when Jordan came into Kelly's dressed in her work clothes. He admitted he'd hoped she'd come to her senses and changed her mind about working at Ava and Julian's gallery. Jordan wished Shawn would drop the attitude and realize she wasn't doing anything wrong. Shawn was skeptical, since he remembered what she'd been mixed up in in Maryland. Jordan insisted that she'd changed, unlike Shawn, who'd gone from working with the Balkan to working with Sonny. Shawn didn't think that working for the Jeromes would give Jordan the fresh start she claimed to want. Jordan countered that the gallery was a legitimate business. Shawn hoped, for TJ's sake, that Jordan was sincere. Just then, TJ came downstairs. TJ could tell that he'd interrupted a disagreement, but Jordan swore everything was fine. Jordan changed the subject and cheerfully mentioned that today would be her first day working at the gallery. TJ was supportive, but Shawn looked annoyed. Jordan asked Shawn if he was going to wish her luck. Shawn told Jordan to stay out of trouble, and she left. TJ asked Shawn what was going on between him and Jordan.

Julian was at the gallery when Luke called. Luke, who was in an office at ELQ, asked if everything went with the shipment. Julian assured Luke that the product had been unloaded and was now being sold. Pleased, Luke told Julian to make sure nothing slowed the operation down. Tracy walked by the office and she did a double take when she saw Luke inside, with his feet up on the desk. She walked inside and asked what was going on. Luke ended the call. He lied and said he was just talking to someone about her birthday gift. Tracy was taken aback when Luke revealed that he'd claimed the office as his own. Luke reminded Tracy that they'd agreed that he would come work with her at ELQ. Tracy countered that they discussed it, but she never agreed to it. Luke said he thought they were getting married so they could spend more time together. Tracy didn't think they needed to be joined at the hip; she pointed out that healthy relationships have boundaries. Luke asked if she was trying to shut him out. Tracy explained that ELQ was her sanctuary; it was the one place where she felt in control. Tracy didn't think an adventure-junkie, like Luke, would be happy behind a desk. Luke asked Tracy to give him a chance to prove his commitment to her and to ELQ. Tracy agreed to give Luke a chance. Luke asked Tracy to walk him out. Tracy was startled that he was already leaving, so Luke told her he was going to get the birthday painting. He gestured toward a portrait of Edward and said they could finally get rid of “this hideous thing,” once he picked up the painting. Tracy balked at the idea of getting rid of her father's picture, and Luke clarified that he meant they could display it in the mansion. Luke left, and Tracy told the picture of Edward not to look at her like that. She insisted that Luke had changed. According to Tracy, ever since she rescued Luke from Cassadine Island, Luke had treated her as an equal and not as a source of cash. She was adamant that Luke loved her. Tracy conceded that Luke had been a little outrageous lately, but she pointed out that no one was perfect, not even her. “Can I quote you on that?” Ned said, with a smile, as he walked up behind his mother. Tracy was happy to see Ned, who explained that he decided to come in a few days before the funeral. Ned couldn't believe they were burying AJ, again. Tracy sighed and said that this time, it was for real. Ned admitted he never had much use for AJ, but AJ was family. Tracy glanced at Edward's picture and said their family had had far too many funerals, lately. Ned asked about Monica. Tracy said she was holding up, but Tracy felt bad for her having to bury her child. Ned asked if his brother Dillon was coming. Tracy said no, because he was in Japan. Ned said he was sorry. Tracy announced that she had good news too – she and Luke were getting married and he was coming to work at ELQ. “Are you out of your mind?” Ned replied.

Ava angrily stormed into the gallery and confronted Julian about planting the fake story on Nakamura in an attempt to get Ava sent to prison. Julian insisted that he was doing his civic duty by helping the police. Ava snapped that she was innocent and didn't have anything to do with killing Nina or Nakamura. Julian felt that she should be pleased that he gave her the opportunity to clear her name. Ava accused Julian of cooperating with the police, not to help Sam, but because he wanted Ava out of the picture. Julian agreed to admit to that, as soon as Ava admitted that she fed information to Sonny in an attempt to get Julian out of the way. Ava claimed Julian's accusation was absurd, so Julian told her that Sonny knew the location of all of his safe houses. Sonny's men had raided three of the houses in the last two weeks. Ava's back was to Julian. She smirked, then she said that was awful. She asked why Julian thought she was the leak. Julian pointed out that Sonny was her boy toy's father. Ava told Julian not to call Morgan that. She insisted that she and Morgan were in love. Julian asked Ava what was wrong with her that she was more loyal to her bed buddy than her own brother. Ava yelled that Julian had been disloyal to her, when he participated in a scheme meant to send her to prison. “Is this a bad time?” Jordan said as she walked in. Ava and Julian dropped the disagreement and Ava warmly greeted Jordan. Carlos arrived and asked for a word with Ava. Ava told Carlos that she didn't have time, but Carlos insisted. Ava and Carlos left, while Julian showed Jordan around. Jordan told Julian she was TJ's mother. Julian understood that she was concerned. He assured her that he didn't pose a threat to her or TJ and that there were no illegal activities being conducted at the gallery. Just then, Luke walked in.

At the PCPD, Dante told Anna that Obrecht was back in her cell, and he thanked Anna for giving him and Lulu the latitude to talk to Obrecht. Anna forewarned Dante that she would need to know what the meeting was about, then she told him that she needed him to focus on something else for now. Anna revealed that they might be about to find out who killed AJ. The police had arrested the man who sold the gun used in the first attempt on AJ's life. Anna hoped that they could pressure the gun dealer into telling them the name of the buyer, so they could get Michael the justice he deserved.

Anna and Dante questioned the gun dealer, who'd been charged with accessory to attempted murder. Anna offered to make the charges go away in exchange for cooperation. The man was very flippant and unhelpful at first, but he cracked when Anna told him he probably wouldn't make bail.

Sonny was at home. He smiled when he read an article saying that the cops might never figure out who killed AJ. “You'd like that, wouldn't you Sonny?” said AJ. Sonny was alarmed when he looked up and saw AJ, who was bleeding from the chest. Sonny tried to ignore what he saw, but AJ taunted him. AJ predicted that Sonny wouldn't truly get away with what he'd done, because he'd be reminded of the crime every time he looked at Michael. Sonny ordered AJ to shut up and get out of there, just as Duke walked in. Sonny clarified that he wasn't yelling at Duke. Duke surmised that Sonny was feeling guilty for what he'd done to AJ. Duke apologized for being presumptive and pointed out that Sonny had asked Duke to provide him with a false alibi for the time AJ was killed. Sonny wondered if Duke really wanted Sonny to confide in him, since Duke used to work for AJ. Duke had liked AJ and he was grateful that AJ gave him a chance when no one else would. However, Duke sensed that Sonny's conscience was bothering him, and Duke didn't feel like he was in the position to judge, due to Duke's past, and because Duke didn't know the details of what went on between Sonny and AJ. Duke added that he'd already agreed to alibi Sonny and to work with him, despite Anna's objections. Sonny asked if Duke regretted his decision. “Not the slightest” Duke said. Duke assured Sonny that he still wanted to help Sonny take down Julian. Duke pledged his loyalty to Sonny and told him that his secret was safe with him. They shook hands, just as Michael walked in. Michael apologized for interrupting, but Sonny assured him that it was okay. Duke gave Michael his condolences, then told Sonny to consider his offer, then he left. Sonny asked Michael how he was doing. Michael admitted that he was struggling. He told Sonny how he yelled at Anna for not catching AJ's killer. Sonny assured Michael that it was understandable that he was angry that the investigation had stalled. Michael revealed that the cops were looking to arrest the intruder. Michael assumed that the intruder was the killer. He knew nothing would bring AJ back, but he was eager to see his killer brought to justice. Michael decided to go back to the station to get an update. Sonny stopped him and tried to convince Michael not to get his hopes up. Michael didn't think he'd have any peace until AJ's killer was found. He left. AJ appeared and said that if there was any justice, Sonny wouldn't be at peace, either.

Jordan asked Shawn if he was going to wish her luck. Shawn told Jordan to stay out of trouble, and she left. TJ asked Shawn what was going on between him and Jordan. Shawn tried to make it sound like he and Jordan just didn't get along. Shawn claimed he was only concerned about Jordan working for the Jeromes, but TJ revealed that he overheard Shawn tell Jordan that he hoped something was true, for TJ's sake. TJ could also tell that something was going on between Shawn and Jordan that went beyond a personality conflict. TJ asked Shawn if there was something he should know about his mom.

Duke appeared and his arrival gave Shawn the chance to wrap up the conversation. Duke walked away, and Shawn tried to assure TJ that there was nothing to worry about. Shawn sent TJ off to school, then he went to talk to Duke. Duke told Shawn that the Jeromes had gone into a new enterprise that Sonny wouldn't like. “It's drugs, isn't it?” Shawn asked. Duke said yes, and he wondered how Shawn knew.

Tracy insisted that she was perfectly lucid, and she thought that Ned should at least pretend to be happy. Ned felt that it was obvious that Luke was after Tracy's money. Tracy wondered if Ned didn't think anyone would actually want to marry her. Ned assured Tracy that he didn't mean it like that. Ned pointed out that Luke was a conman, who'd tricked Tracy into believing they were married, then stolen her money after they got married for real. Tracy countered that that didn't mean he was marrying her for her money this time.

Ned was certain that Luke, who'd never worked an honest day in his life, had to be running a con if he was asking to work at ELQ. Tracy, on the other hand, felt that Luke's eagerness to work proved that he didn't want to live off of her. Ned told Tracy that he was just trying to protect her and her legacy. Tracy appreciated Ned's concern, but she thought a part of him should want her to be right about Luke. Ned did want Tracy to be right, and he wanted her to be happy, but he didn't think Luke had any good qualities. Tracy insisted that Luke had changed. She added that Luke almost died. Ned countered Luke had made a career of having near death experiences. Ned felt that Tracy was smarter than this. He said she used to see Luke for who he was, and she was never surprised when he ran off with money. Ned thought that Tracy knew that Luke would never be a standup guy. Tracy was adamant that she knew no such thing, so Ned asked why he caught her talking to Edward's picture. Ned told Tracy that she knew her father would never approve, then he begged her not to make the biggest mistake of her life.

He assured her that he didn't pose a threat to her or TJ and that there were no illegal activities being conducted at the gallery. Just then, Luke walked in. Julian introduced Jordan and Luke. Luke flirted with Jordan until Julian sent her to get Luke's painting. Julian reminded Luke that his fiancée's company was integral to the plan. Luke took the painting and left, then Julian apologized to Jordan for Luke's behavior, and Jordan assured him that it didn't faze her. Julian asked if she liked the job, and she said she did, but she'd had something else in mind and she thought they could help each other. Julian asked what she was referring to. Jordan revealed that she knew about the drug operation.

Ava chided Carlos for trying to talk in front of Julian. She asked what was so urgent and he told her about what Michael said about the cops closing in on the masked intruder. Carlos stressed that he and Ava knew he was the intruder, but they also both knew he didn't kill AJ. Ava reminded Carlos that he said he made a clean getaway. Carlos thought about it; he'd been careful, so he didn't think anyone would be able to identify him. “What about the gun?,” Ava asked. Carlos said it was untraceable and it didn't have fingerprints on it, so there was no way it could be tied back to him. “You better damned well hope not” Ava said.

Luke went back to ELQ and saw that Ned was there. Ned told Luke he'd heard all about the good news. Luke hoped Ned would give them his blessing. Ned replied that he'd be happy to, as soon as Luke signed a prenup.

The man was very flippant and unhelpful at first, but he cracked when Anna told him he probably wouldn't make bail. The dealer recalled that he sold the guns to someone connected to the mob. He wasn't sure which crime family the purchaser worked for, so Anna went and got some mugshots for him to look at. The gun dealer picked out Carlos's photo.
