Keifer and Kristina are in a hotel room. He is holding her by the arms telling her not to play with him. She tells him to let her go; he is hurting her. He tells her he doesn’t like her jerking him around. She protests that that is not what she was doing. He grabs her by the throat and says she is playing games with him, getting him all worked up and then turning him down. He yells he is sick of it as he pushes her away. She looks up at him from the floor.

At Olivia’s apartment, Johnny asks her if something happened with her son. She tells him Dante is safe. Kate says that could change at any moment.

In the office behind the restaurant Sonny has bought, Dominic tells Sonny that it is a nice place; he hears the guys will like it better than the coffee shop that got torched up. Sonny asks Dominic if he hears a lot. He confirms that he keeps his ears open. Jason asks him what he has heard from the Zacchara camp. Dominic asks if they can skip the 20 questions and get to the point. Sonny says he and Jason have been talking about what they need to do to plug a leak in the organization.

At Sonny’s house, Claudia asks Michael if he is sure it is a memory and not a dream. He tells her he is sure that she was talking to her while he was in a coma and that she said it was her fault that he got shot. He asks her what she meant.

Nikolas exits the elevator in the hospital and asks Elizabeth if she can spare a minute. She reminds him that the last time she did, she and Alexis were discussing their concerns for him and he took their heads off. He tells her he was upset with Alexis, not her. He tells her he has never been comfortable with people talking about him behind his back, even when they have the right to be concerned. She apologized, saying that she has been a little crazy too. He asks her how she could not be after what happened. She doesn’t want to talk about that, but he tells her they have to talk about it. He tells her that Lucky keeps asking him to get together. He says that if he keeps saying no, Lucky will think he is pushing him away but if he says yes, it will put him close to her, which makes him really uncomfortable. She tells him she gets off work in half an hour; they can talk then. He asks if she wants to go to his house. She suggests they go to the park near the playground where there are lots of kids. He asks her if she doesn’t trust herself to be alone with him.

In the hotel room, Keifer kneels next to Kristina and asks if she is ok as he extends his hand to help her up. She recoils, telling him that he scared her. He cries and says he is sorry. She concludes that he was going to hit her again, like he did in her room. He says he will never do that again. She asks him what is wrong with him, why he loses it like that. He tells her that he wants her; he has wanted her since they started going out. He tells her it is not just about sex; it is about how he feels about her. He tells her he realizes she is younger and has a lot less experience, but he can’t stop thinking about wanting to be with her. She tells him she thinks about him too, but when she says no… He concedes that he has to respect it; and he does, but she sends mixed signals. He starts to think that she wants to be with him and then she pulls away. She tells him she just wasn’t ready. He tells her he gets it and he is so sorry. He asks her what he can do to make things right.

At Sonny’s house, Michael asks Claudia what she was sorry about. He asks her if he got shot because she was trying to kill his father. She denies it. She tells that when he was in a coma it was the first time they had met and she felt a strong connection to him. She tells him they are a lot a like. She tells him that she grew up in a mob family too, but her father wasn’t a good man like Michael’s father is. She tells him that she grew up with security around her and knew she was never safe because someone was always trying to kill her father. She tells him she was never shot, but she saw things that a kid shouldn’t have to see. She tells him that is why she empathized with him and was sorry when he got shot. He asks her about the part where she said it was her fault. She tells him she doesn’t know why he remembers that because she never said it. He says he remembers it clearly. She tells him that is why she asked him if it was a dream. She says she knows that he wants to believe that everything he remembers is real but it can’t be because that didn’t happen.

In Olivia’s apartment, Kate tells her that she would think that Olivia would make her son’s welfare her first priority. Olivia tells her it has been a lovely visit. Kate takes that as her cue to leave. She says she has to get back to Crimson because Maxie is on her faux-honeymoon, Lulu is off for some mysterious family emergency, and their replacements know as much about fashion publishing as two little girls cutting out paper dolls. Kate leaves. Johnny wonders about Kate giving motherhood advice. Olivia tells him Kate was right; she would sleep a lot better if her son weren’t taking this promotion to a special squad. He tells her this seems to be about more than just her son’s job. She tells Johnny that fighting fires is a worthy profession, but her son risks his life every day. He tells her he can tell something else is going on and has been for weeks. He encourages her to tell him what is going on.

In the office behind the restaurant, Dominic asks Sonny if he called him there about a rat. Jason tells Dominic that they had a shipment busted right before the carnival. Dominic asks if someone saw something and tipped off the cops. Sonny says it was too perfect. The cops had warrants and were there before the shipment hit the docks. Jason says that means they have a rat. Sonny notes that they never had anything like that going on before the Zacchara merger. Dominic says that maybe Anthony arranged it. Sonny stands up and tells him he doesn’t care why; he just wants to know who. Dominic asks if he has any ideas. Sonny tells Dominic that he has worked with the lower echelon of the Zacchara organization; he knows those people. He slams his hand on his desk and tells Dominic he wants to find out who is giving inside information. Jason adds, “If any,” and Dominic asks what that is supposed to mean. Jason tells him that they have had Feds try to infiltrate; maybe it is an undercover cop. Sonny tells Dominic that he is in a perfect position to find out who it is and bring him to Sonny.

Nikolas returns home to find Rebecca there, pouring wine. She says, “Surprise.” He tells her he didn’t know she was coming. She says that is why they call it a surprise. She tells him that Alfred is in on it. She says the kitchen staff is preparing dinner now and will serve it in the Turret Room since that has been his favorite room lately. He asks if there is a reason he is being wined and dined. She tells him Edward went home from the hospital today. She clinks her wine glass against his and thanks him for his forgiveness. She tells him that it feels wonderful not to have guilty secrets weighing her down. She is free to be herself. He reminds her that the Quartermaines forgave her too. She tells him that she is grateful for that, but had Nikolas not forgiven her, she would have left Port Charles. He tells her that she has a life here now. She gives him credit for that, telling him that he changed everything by treating her like she mattered. She tells him she has learned to acknowledge her mistakes and move on. She tells him that she feels like she belongs with him and with the Quartermaines, and it is all thanks to him. She kisses him. He pulls away telling her he is sorry, he can’t do this right now.

Ronnie meets Dominic and asks what is so urgent. Dominic tells him that he needs help; his cover has been blown. He tells him that their bust that came from the paperwork Dominic got off Sonny’s desk was too perfect. Now Sonny knows they have a leak and wants Dominic to find out who it is. Ronnie tells him to give someone else to Corinthos. Dominic objects to stringing up an innocent man for something he did. Ronnie says Dominic is a soft touch, and that worries him. Dominic sarcastically says it is a burden to have a conscience. Ronnie reminds him that they are criminals; none of them is innocent, and Sonny is the least of all.

At Olivia’s apartment, Johnny tells her he doesn’t mean to pry; he just wants to help, but she has respected his secrets and he will respect hers. She tells him he is amazing and wonders how she got so lucky. He says he is the lucky one. He says that sometimes it feels like it is just the two of them since their families are less than supportive. She tells him he got the short end of that stick. He asks what Claudia did now. She tells him that Claudia was bothering her at the hotel today. He says he is sorry. Choosing Olivia over Claudia is like committing a cardinal sin. Olivia tells him he doesn’t need to apologize for his sister’s unnatural attachment to him. He tells her not to underestimate Claudia; she can be extremely dangerous if she sees someone as an enemy.

At Sonny’s house, Claudia asks Michael if he believes she would hurt him or his father. He tells her he just remembers hearing her say it was her fault. She tells him she would never have said that. She says she may have said something about her little brother almost being accidentally shot when he was a boy. She says she felt like that was her fault because she should have been there to protect John. She asks if it is possible that that is what he heard her say. He says it is possible and apologizes for jumping to conclusions. She tells him she understands; he lost a year of his life. He is trying to put the pieces back together. He tells her he wishes he could get over it and move on. She asks him if it is possible that Jason put the idea into his head. He doesn’t get what she means. She tells him that she is sure Jason has warned him against her and may have even accused her of being involved in his shooting. He tells her he gets the impression that Jason doesn’t like her very much. She says Jason hates her because who her father is, which she thinks is unfair because she hates her father as much as Jason does. She tells him she knows that Jason is his friend and his protector, but she is his friend too and she would hate it if Jason turned him against her. Sonny enters, overhearing the end of Claudia’s sentence. He asks Claudia why Jason would want to turn Michael against her.

Elizabeth is at the gazebo in the park where she has agreed to meet Nikolas to talk. A voice behind her says, “Sorry Miss, I should take you in for loitering.” Startled, she turns around to find Lucky who tells her it was just a joke. She tells him she knows; her mind was just somewhere else. He tells her that her mind has been elsewhere a lot lately. She says she is taking time to listen to her thoughts as Lainey instructed them to do. He asks what her thoughts are telling her. She says she really wants them to work, she wants to be fair to him, and she wants to know that this is the right decision for both of them. He tells her that it is a little late for that; they are already engaged. She says she is happy that they have gotten to this place; she just doesn’t ever want to hurt him again. He tells her he doesn’t know why she is blaming herself for stuff that he forgave a long time ago. She asks him what if she doesn’t deserve to be forgiven. He asks why she wouldn’t.

At Nikolas’s house, Rebecca tells Nikolas that if he is saying he can’t have dinner with her, she can handle it. She asks if it is something more. He tells her no, he tends to be a little overdramatic. He reminds her that he was raised by his uncle for whom a stain on his tie was a global disaster. He tells her if he ever gets that bad, she should slap him. She gets in his face again as she says she can think of better things to do. He moves away from her, telling her he doesn’t have time for that for the same reason he must pass on dinner; he has other plans. She asks what his plans are and he says he is meeting someone. She concludes that it is a business meeting. He says yes, and the parties aren’t comfortable with each other, but contact is inevitable so he needs to figure out how to handle things. She tells him this sort of thing must come with the territory so they can reschedule, assuming he wants to.

Ronnie and Dominic are sitting on a bench at the docks. Dominic says he is not going to frame a random guy to save his own neck. Ronnie tells him to pick someone who has been giving him a hard time. Dominic says Sonny didn’t get to be where he is because he is stupid. He and Jason know they have a leak and have already considered the possibility of an undercover cop. Ronnie tells him he has to come up with a name. He suggests Tommy Soto. Dominic tells him Tommy is a stand up guy. Ronnie corrects him that he is a gangster that they have been trying to build a case against. He tells Dominic to give up Tommy Soto; he doesn’t have a choice. Both of their lives are on the line, and if Sonny finds out Dominic is a cop, Olivia could wind up dead too. Ronnie gets up and walks away.

At Sonny’s house, he asks Claudia why she is pulling Michael into her problem with Jason. She tells Sonny that she hasn’t seen Michael much since he got back from Mexico and she just wanted to make sure he wasn’t avoiding her because of something Jason might have said. Michael says he has just been busy with the new school year. Sonny asks his son to confirm that it has nothing to do with Jason. Jason says no. He says he and Claudia are cool since she forgave Kristina for causing the accident that made her lose her baby. Claudia says sometimes forgiveness is the best thing. It is time to think about the good things to come and move on. Sonny agrees. Sonny and Michael make small talk about Carly and school. Michael leaves. Claudia tells Sonny he has a great kid and if they have a little boy, she hopes he turns out like Michael. He tells her they may have to put that plan on hold.

At Nikolas’ house, he tells Rebecca that he has been so preoccupied with the negotiation that he has overlooked the beautiful woman standing in front of him. He says he would love to reschedule dinner for tomorrow. She says she will tell Alfred to leave the table in the Turret room set. He says no, he doesn’t want anymore dark and stormy nights. They can dine wherever she wants to as long as it is not a Barbeque at Lucky’s. She asks if he doesn’t like Lucky’s barbeque. He tells her that Lucky is trying so hard for them to spend time together that it is making him uncomfortable. Rebecca says Lucky probably just wants his brother to celebrate his happiness with him and his fiancée. He says he does, just without all the forced get-togethers. She says Lucky loves him and so does Elizabeth. She wonders if that is what this is about. He plays dumb. She says he is worried about the tension between her and Elizabeth. He agrees that Rebecca and Elizabeth have never gotten along. Rebecca tells him she can grit her teeth and ride it out. She says Elizabeth is just trying to protect him; he is a vulnerable man. He says he is also hard to know. She says that makes him more intriguing. She kisses him and he doesn’t pull away.

Elizabeth is in the park with Lucky. She is constantly looking around for Nikolas. Lucky tells her that regrets won’t change anything. He tells her he doesn’t want to dwell on the past; he just wants to move forward. She asks how he can love her so unconditionally after she lied about being Jake’s father. She wonders how he can trust her after that. He says he thinks the problem is that she doesn’t trust herself. He tells her they both made mistakes. The important thing is that they learned from them. She doesn’t understand how he can have so much faith in the future when so much has gone wrong before. He tells her everyone has problems; marriage is work. Raising a family is too, but he wants to spend every moment with her, Cameron, and Jake. She kisses him and tells him he amazing. He suggests they go get ice cream. She tells him she would love to, but she has something else she has to do.

Sam meets Kristina in their backyard and asks if everything is ok. Kristina says she wants to tell her something but first she must promise not to lecture her or tell Mom. She confides in her sister that she wants to sleep with Keifer and needs birth control. Sam suggests more time. Kristina says she was hoping Sam would take her to a clinic. Sam tells her she will take her, but she needs to hear her out first.

At Sonny’s house, he tells Claudia that she acts like she is already pregnant. She tells him she hopes she will be soon; Dr Lee said she was good to go. Sonny says they need to slow down; he has business to take care of. She tells him she sometimes has little flashes about the accident and the baby. Sometimes she has dreams that the accident never happened and wakes up happy only to realize her belly is empty. She tells him that she reminds herself that they are going to have another baby and that will bring back everything that they lost.

Michael goes to the restaurant that Sonny owns to meet Jason who tells him to call him next time so he can meet him at home. Michael asks if that is because this place is a front and Jason and Sonny don’t want him anywhere near a place that has something to do with the organization. Jason tells Michael that he knows his father wouldn’t have it any other way. He asks why Michael needed to see him. Michael says he was just at his father’s house talking to Claudia. He demands to know why Jason hates Claudia.

In their backyard, Sam tells Kristina that she is a product of a teenage pregnancy; she has no idea who her father is; she was given up for adoption. She tells her sister that she started having sex when she was younger than she is and she made a lot of mistakes with men. Kristina tells her sister that she is sorry about what happened to her, but her situation is completely different. She tells her that she came to her so she won’t get pregnant. Sam asks if Kristina wants to have sex with Keifer or if it is the other way around. Kristina says Keifer is smart, cute, and popular and she is ready to have sex with him. Sam asks if that is why Kristina left the house tonight. Kristina admits that it is, but says nothing happened. She asks Sam if she is going to help her or not.

At the restaurant, Jason admits that he does not like Claudia. Michael asks him why. Jason asks him why he wants to know. He asks if Michael remembered something. Michael says he remembers Claudia coming to his hospital room and telling him how sorry she felt. He says Jason is dodging the question and asks what Claudia did that was so terrible. Jason says he doesn’t trust her. Michael says he thinks there is more to it and Jason is just waiting for something to happen. He says Jason still wants someone to pay for him getting shot, but he is here and he is fine. Jason reminds him that he lost a year of his life. Michael tells him that maybe he doesn’t want anyone to pay; maybe he just wants it to be over with. Michael storms out.

Olivia is in her apartment looking at a picture of Dante as a little boy. Someone knocks on her door. She opens it and finds Claudia there. She tells Claudia to get out or she will call the cops and have her charged with harassment. Claudia pushes her way in and tells Olivia that she is here to thank her. Olivia says she doesn’t care why she is there. Claudia picks up the picture of Dante and tells Olivia the resemblance is amazing; he has his father’s eyes.

Nikolas is in the park at the gazebo where he was to meet Elizabeth. Elizabeth is not there. His phone rings and he answers to Alfred who informs him that Miss Elizabeth was just there and left a note. Nikolas asks Alfred to read the note. The note says Elizabeth doesn’t trust herself around him. She knows what she has to do; she just needs to figure out how to do it.

Keifer arrives at Kristina’s house and meets her in her backyard. She kisses him. He tells her he doesn’t know how much more of that he can take. He pulls away from her and says they have already been through that tonight. She tells him she won’t keep him waiting much longer. She discloses to him that she talked to her sister and she is taking her to the clinic tomorrow to get her started on birth control. He says that’s good. She tells him she expected him to be more excited than that. He tells her he keeps remembering the look on her face when he pushed her in the hotel. He tells her he feels terrible. He says it frustrates him when they start to kiss and then she pulls away. He tells her he doesn’t want to pressure her; it isn’t right unless they both want it. She says she does; she doesn’t want to lose him.

Sam meets Jason at the restaurant. He asks how her meeting with Kristina went. She tells her she is taking her sister to a family planning clinic for contraceptives when she doesn’t think she should be having sex. She tells him that according to Kristina, she and Keifer are in love and she is ready. Sam says if that were true then Keifer wouldn’t be forcing the issue. She tells Jason that she doesn’t want Kristina to make the same bad choices that she made. She wants her to have more self-respect. She says Kristina wants to make a man happy by having sex with him, but doesn’t realize that she has to make herself happy first. She discloses to Jason that when they were a couple before she loves him so much that she lost herself. She says this time she is more cautious. He says she should tell him whatever she feels and whatever is right for her. She says the same goes for him; they can tell each other. She says as long as they are honest they will be ok. He says it will be better than ok.

Dominic enters Sonny’s home office. Sonny asks if he has found the leak already. Dominic says it is Tommy Soto. Sonny asks if he is sure. Dominic says his sources are, and they are in a position to know. Sonny says it makes sense; Tommy was with the Zaccharas and the police would pick him up all the time and let him go. Sonny tells Dominic that he needs to eliminate him.

In Olivia’s apartment, she tells Claudia to give her her kid’s picture and get out. Claudia says her kid and Sonny’s; the eyes and the smile are a dead giveaway. She doesn’t know why she didn’t notice earlier. Olivia tells Claudia she doesn’t know if she is crazy or just paranoid. Claudia tells Olivia to drop the act; from now on, she will do exactly what Claudia says or she will tell Sonny that Olivia is keeping his kid from him, his son Dante, who is here in Port Charles masquerading as Sonny’s new soldier Dominic.
