Julie heads into the hospital and greets Nathan. He asks how she is. She thinks she’s doing better than he is, and asks what’s going on. Nathan sighs, replying that Melanie Layton is.

Maggie wanders into her living room with some cleaning supplies, telling herself that she’s got to get this place spotless since people are coming over. Just then, her phone buzzes. Maggie picks it up and gasps when she sees it’s a text from Mickey. Deciding he must have delayed the delivery, she opens it. In it, Mickey thanks her for talking him into going on the cruise. He adds that he loves her. Maggie sinks into a nearby chair with a sob, whispering that she loves him, too. She sniffles, gazing at a picture of herself and Mickey.

Brady heads into the Kiriakis mansion. In the living room, Victor tosses down the paper in disgust, telling Brady that the headline reads that a Kiriakis heir helped a kidnapper to get a reduced sentence. Brady sighs. Victor isn’t sure which is worse—Brady dating a drug dealer or begging for mercy for his baby-stealing slut of an ex-wife.

Outside the café, Vivian talks on her phone, delighted to hear that Carly’s files from the Swiss hospital are now nearly legible. She vows that she will make Carly’s worst nightmares come true once she finds out which little bastard Carly brought into the world.

In Carly’s room at the inn, Carly admits to Bo that she always considered herself independent, but Bo really came through for her today. Bo agrees and holds her face in his hands. The two kiss passionately.

At the Java Café, Philip tells a colleague over the phone to post something for him, as he is leaving to get married in Vegas later. He adds that he’ll speak to him when he gets back from his honeymoon, though he isn’t sure how long he will be gone. He hangs up as Vivian heads over, asking Philip in surprise if he is eloping with Melanie.

Julie tells Nathan that she heard about him and Melanie from Maggie, but she thought that was all over, since Nathan was with Stephanie at Christmastime. Nathan claims that Stephanie is just a friend. Julie suspects that he is having a hard time letting Melanie go, and she suggests he start working on that, since Melanie is marrying Philip. Nathan insists that Melanie is making a huge mistake as Julie’s phone rings. She excuses herself and answers. It’s Hope, calling to deliver the bad news about Mickey. Julie, in shock, stammers that he wasn’t even ill. She listens for a moment, and then tells Hope that Nathan is with her. She then promises to head over to Maggie’s as soon as she lets Nathan know what is going on. Julie hangs up and heads over to Nathan in a fog. He asks what is wrong as she throws her arms around him, hugging him tearfully.

Carly backs off of Bo, asking if he has ever wondered what might have happened if Hope hadn’t come back, and Lawrence hadn’t swept her off of her feet. Bo guesses she wants to know if he thinks they’d still be together. Bo then says that they are together now, and that is all that matters. The two kiss again.

At Maggie’s place, Nathan hugs Maggie, telling her how sorry he is. Julie tearfully hugs her as well, promising that Dug will be here soon, and then the two of them will help Maggie with whatever needs to be done. She then asks if the kids are coming. Maggie nods, saying they all are as soon as they get a flight. Julie worriedly asks about Alice, and Maggie explains that Hope went by to tell her the news. Julie promises to go over there, but admits that Maggie is her main concern right now. She then asks what happens, and Maggie tells her about talking to Will, and heading upstairs to check on Mickey to see how the packing was coming along. She sobs, saying it was too late by the time she got there, even though she tried everything she had been taught in her CPR class. Julie hugs her again as Maggie bawls on her shoulder that she couldn’t save Mickey. Nathan sniffles.

Outside the pub, Troy instructs someone over the phone to get a silencer, explaining that he needs this kill to be clean and quiet. He grins through the window at Arianna, saying that he has their target in his sights right now.

Inside, Arianna looks at the front page of the paper and sighs. Brady tries to call her, but she turns her phone off. Melanie rushes in with some bags, telling Arianna excitedly that she got her wedding dress. She adds that she got Arianna’s message and guesses she isn’t happy. Arianna hands over the paper, wondering sarcastically why she wouldn’t be, since all Brady did was go to bat for a kidnapper who also happens to be the love of his life. Melanie tells Arianna that she usually isn’t one to give advice, but if she wants things to work out with Brady, she’s going to have to let all this Nicole stuff go.

Victor wonders when Brady is going to learn, reminding him that Nicole is a whore and a kidnapper that also tried to murder him. Brady reminds Victor in turn that he was a drug addict. He then tells Victor that people can change, but it takes people to hold out a helping hand and give them a second chance, like Victor did with him. Victor retorts that Nicole has had more chances than a roulette wheel, but Brady decided to think with something other than his head and told the judge that what she did wasn’t her fault. Brady replies that he said the situation wasn’t entirely her fault, which is the truth. Victor groans as Brady defends Nicole, saying that she was desperate and a little nuts, and that she is suffering right now to boot. He thinks everyone should just give Nicole a break. Victor snaps that he liked Brady better when he was high.

Vivian complains to Philip that she doesn’t understand, as she offered to give him and his bride a magnificent wedding, and she has come up with a lot of new and fantastic ideas. Philip asks her if she has lost some brain cells recently, since she always seemed rather bright to him. She asks him not to be fresh, but Philip retorts that he is trying to be rude and disparaging. He adds that Vivian is not a part of his life or Melanie’s life, and that that fact doesn’t seem to register with her, though he has told her as much many times before. Vivian sighs and agrees to stop interfering. She then asks him to get married in Vegas and have a wonderful honeymoon. Philip, suspicious, asks Vivian what she is up to now.

Carly and Bo kiss more heatedly. Carly stops, saying that she thinks they should wait, as this is all moving so fast. Bo reminds her that they aren’t exactly strangers. Carly says she realizes that, but she still thinks they ought to take things slow and make sure this is what they want to do. Bo wonders if she is afraid that he will regret this. Carly admits she is.

Nathan talks to his mom, Melissa, over the phone in the kitchen. He asks when her plane lands and promises to see her then. He hangs up and starts to set the phone down, but notices a note Melanie left for Maggie, telling her about her and Philip flying to Las Vegas to get married. Julie heads in and asks Nathan if he is alright. He says he is and that he just called his mom, who has plans to fly in later tonight. Julie sighs, saying that she thinks the suddenness of all this makes it hurt more. Nathan isn’t so sure, as he thinks it would hurt either way. Julie is just glad Mickey didn’t suffer. Nathan nods, admitting that he can’t picture his grandmother’s life without him. Julie agrees, moaning over the fact that the two were just heading off on a cruise to spend some time together. She then tells Nathan how glad she is that he is here for Maggie. Nathan just wishes he had been here when it happened, as he might have been able to do something. Julie begs Nathan not to think that way, as he was at work, and couldn’t have known. She then tells Nathan that she thinks now might be a good time for him to move back in with Maggie. Nathan says he will do whatever Maggie needs, and if she needs him to move back in, he will.

Melanie opens a gift Arianna got for her wedding, an embroidered handkerchief with blue flowers on it. Melanie squeals in delight, saying that this can be her ‘something blue.’ Arianna asks the other ‘somethings’ and Melanie explains that her dress is vintage, so that’s old, but new to her. Arianna asks about the ‘something borrowed,’ but Melanie’s face falls as she admits she didn’t think of it. She then decides to stop by Maggie’s place the way to meet Philip. She knows she is on a cruise with Mickey, but she figures she can borrow some of her costume jewelry. Arianna hugs her and congratulates her, asking her to send her some photos as soon as she gets the chance. Melanie thanks her and then tells Arianna that Brady loves her, so she ought to forget about Nicole, as she will soon just be a distant memory. Arianna thanks her for saying so and she and Melanie squeal some more about her impending marriage. Melanie then and sails out the door with her dress.

Brady asks Victor angrily if he really just said he wants him to be an addict again. He reminds Victor that all he did was speak up for someone he cared about, but Victor snaps that Nicole tried to murder him. Brady huffs that people change. Victor just thinks they get older. Brady snorts that he is tired of hearing that Chloe is a slut, Arianna is a drug dealer, and Nicole is a bitch. Victor retorts that Brady’s taste in women is terrible. Brady scoffs, saying that Victor is shacking up with Vivian, which is just plain nuts. He storms off. Victor considers this.

Vivian reminds Philip that she just gave him and Melanie her blessing. Philip retorts sarcastically that he is touched, as her blessing means so much to him. Vivian puts a hand on his, saying that it is probably hard for him to understand this, but they were inseparable during the nine months she carried him. Philip asks her quietly if they could avoid going there. Vivian claims she just wants to let Philip know hat she is on his side, and that she just wants to establish a warm relationship with the little boy she carried in her tummy so many years ago. Vivian pouts, wondering if that is really so much to ask.

Bo suggests that he and Carly leave the outside world right where it is, as they both know that right now, this is right for both of them. Carly agrees and the two kiss again, ripping at each other’s clothes.

The man calls Troy back to let him know he got the silencer. Troy says he isn’t ready for the hit to take place yet, but it will be soon. He promises to keep in touch, hanging up and hurrying off as Brady heads into the pub. He greets Arianna, saying that he knows Arianna is still angry with him, but he has something to say. She listens, arms folded. Brady vows that any obligation he had to Nicole is now over. Arianna scoffs, wondering who he is kidding.

Philip chuckles. Vivian, hurt, claims that she is in earnest. Philip replies that he is just surprised that of everyone in his family, Vivian is the only one that supports his relationship with Melanie. Vivian reminds him that Melanie is the woman he wants to marry, but Philip retorts that she doesn’t need to support him in anything he does. Suspicious, he wonders what the catch is. Vivian claims there isn’t one, and that the reason she can support Philip is because she truly has no agenda. She then asks him to go off, elope, and have a wonderful time on his honeymoon. Philip sighs, saying that he can’t believe he is discussing this with Vivian. Vivian then explains that Philip is the closest thing she has to a son, and that is why he means so much to her. She then asks Philip to go elope and be happy with Melanie. Philip stares, dumbfounded. Vivian says that all she really wants is a picture of the bride and groom. Philip promises to make that happen, and ask Vivian to take care. She then admits she has one more favor to ask. Philip smirks.

Bo and Carly strip off their clothes and kiss passionately.

Brady begs Arianna to look at him, vowing that Nicole is out of his life for good. Arianna says that that is hard for her to buy considering all that he has done for Nicole. Brady promises that he will find a way to convince Arianna, saying that he loves her, and that there is no way he is going to lose her.

Melanie shows up at Maggie’s wondering why so many cars are there. She notices that Nathan is here as well and groans.

Inside, Doug tries to get Maggie to lie down, but she refuses, saying that her mind just keeps rambling, and she couldn’t possibly rest. Doug tries to convince her, reminding her of the shock she has had. Maggie bawls. Just then, Melanie walks in. Everyone stares. Melanie jokingly asks who died. Maggie rushes off, sobbing. Nathan sighs. Julie glares at Melanie, who gapes in surprise.

Philip claims that he isn’t surprised that Vivian’s kindness comes at a price. She claims it isn’t that kind of favor and takes off her gold brooch, explaining that Victor gave it to her years ago, and she’d like Philip to give it to Melanie to wear as her ‘something old.’ She then adds that it would mean a lot for her to have something of hers at her son’s wedding. Philip, touched, promises to give it to Melanie. Vivian asks him to be happy, and hopes he and Melanie have a good trip. Philip thanks her and heads off.

Bo and Carly lie in bed together after making love. Bo thinks this is just like being back on the boat. Carly starts to say she wishes something, but Bo interrupts, asking her to do him a favor and stay right here in this moment. Carly snuggles closer to Bo, promising to do so.

Brady tells Arianna that he knows he and Arianna can make this work. He asks her for another chance, threatening to beg if he has to. Arianna tells him that she wants to try again, of course.

Melanie heads into the kitchen and tells Maggie how sorry she is for trying to be funny, even though she should have known something was terribly wrong. Maggie claims she wasn’t upset, as she knows Melanie has a caring heart. Melanie tells her tearfully that she didn’t know Mickey all that well, but she did know how much he and Maggie loves one another, and the two of them made it possible for her to believe she could love someone for that long and still be crazy about them. Melanie asks if it just happened and Maggie nods, sobbing. She runs her hands across some clean dishes, saying that Mickey had just washed them. She then notices his keys and the sports page near the door, bursting into fresh tears. Melanie remembers that Mickey loved sports, though he never tried to talk about them with her since she doesn’t know anything about them. Maggie assures Melanie that Mickey thought the world of her, as anyone that made him laugh had his heart. Nathan nearly walks in, but stops and stands in the doorway, listening in as Melanie tells Maggie that she and Mickey were like the parents she never had. Maggie thanks her for being so sweet. Melanie claims she means it, and that if her marriage to Philip is half as happy as Mickey and Maggie’s marriage was, then that will be fine with her. The two hug tearfully. Nathan frowns.

Vivian heads into the Kiriakis mansion and tells Victor it’s time to cheer up, as she has good news. She adds that she ran into Philip, and the two bonded. She thinks Victor ought to be proud of Philip, as he is a fine young man, but Victor grumbles at her to just tell him what the news is. She explains that she has more news on their little friend and her dirty secret, as her man has been trying to get more details from Switzerland. Victor again asks what the news is, and Vivian explains gleefully that Carly is further down the road to hell.

Philip checks his phone at the mansion and makes a call, wondering where Melanie could be.

Melanie apologizes for being so insensitive and talking about Philip. Maggie reminds her she needs to hear some happy news right now. Melanie claims that all she meant was that Mickey is amazing, and anyone would be lucky to have a marriage like Mickey and Maggie did. Maggie agrees, bawling that she was just telling Lexie that she married her best friend. Melanie hugs her, telling her how lucky she and Mickey were. Maggie then reminds Melanie that she ought to be at the airport by now, but Melanie doesn’t think that is important right now. Maggie disagrees, telling Melanie that while she treasures her company, she has other people around her right now, and Melanie needs to be with the man she is going to marry. Melanie protests, but Maggie begs her not to waste another minute. Melanie tells Maggie tearfully that she loves her. Maggie says she loves her too, and asks her to be happy. Nathan heads in just then, saying he came to check on the two of them. Maggie rushes off in tears. Melanie says she didn’t realize Nathan was listening. He explains that what Melanie told Maggie really helped, and he has to thank her for that.

Vivian types on the computer, showing Victor the latest report. Victor looks it over, saying it’s interesting. He then asks Vivian how soon they can break Carly and stop her from getting her filthy claws in his son.

Bo and Carly make love a second time.

Brady vows that from now on, things will be good, and that they will figure out who is running the drug ring in Salem so Arianna can finally be free. Arianna says that that isn’t going to happen. Brady asks why not, and Arian explains that she just wants to focus on their relationship now that Nicole is gone. Brady thinks he can live with that. Arianna suggests they just pretend that everything is normal, and that there are no threats or problems. Brady agrees.

Outside, Troy tells his hit man that Arianna is still with that guy, but he’ll pass the word along as soon as she is free. Troy smirks, saying that then, Arianna will finally be dead.

Doug urges Maggie to get some rest. Julie asks if Nathan is still here, and Maggie nods. Doug and Julie promise to be back soon and head off. Maggie checks her phone again, intending to read Mickey’s text message again, but she accidentally deletes it. Maggie sobs, devastated.

Philip figures Melanie’s phone must be off and wonders where she would go. He remembers Maggie’s place suddenly and rushes off.

Melanie tells Nathan tearfully that he doesn’t have to thank her, as she loves his grandmother. Nathan reminds her that she needs to meet Philip. He asks if she is still planning on taking an extended honeymoon, but Melanie doesn’t think so, since she wouldn’t feel right leaving Maggie for so long. Nathan stammers that he will miss her. Melanie forces back tears, saying that she has to go. She grabs her purse, but drops the handkerchief Arianna gave her. She and Nathan kneel down and reach for it at the same time, their hands touching.

Vivian wishes that she and Victor could act today, but Victor reminds her that things don’t work that quickly. Victor then adds that with the document showing that the child Carly had was female, it seems obvious that Carly is in Salem to look for her daughter. Vivian nods, vowing that once the find her, Carly will know what it feels like to lose someone she loves.

Carly moans happily, saying that she now remembers why she came halfway around the world to find Bo. She adds that he is her savior and protector, and she loves him now as much as she did years ago.

Anna asks EJ, “What if Sami figures out it's me?”

Sami gasps, “OMG!”

Hope calls Bo, “Where are you?”
