Belle keeps looking at the newspaper with, what she believes is, Phillips picture in it. She confides in Marlena that she feels guilty for the situation Phillip has put himself into because he is off fighting in a war again. Marlena finds it hard to believe that the Marines would send a man with one good leg into battle. Belle believes that they would find a place for him if he was willing and able. She also says if he gets hurt or killed, it is because of her. Marlena reminds her that Phillip is a grown man and has responsibility for his own decisions. Belle says that she has hurt Phillip badly, and since Kate showed her this picture of Phillip, all she can do is take her anger out on Shawn.

Shawn and Willow share a cup of coffee together in his apartment. She suggests they go back to bed and finish where they left off. They are very “lovie dovie” towards each other, and Willow jokes around, asking him if she should hide in the closet in case Belle shows up again. Shawn tells her that he doesn’t believe that Belle will come back over because he doesn’t think she wants to have anything else to do with him.

Mimi and Max have come to Chicago and find themselves in front of Art Fisher’s door; he is the photographer that took the picture believed to be of Phillip that ended up in the newspaper. They knock and open the door. Art comes out and they introduce themselves and explain why they are here. Art says that he tried to find information, but came up empty. He asks about the prize money, and Mimi tells him that they lied to him about that. She apologizes and tells them the real reason they are here is because the guy in this picture is a friend of theirs that has been missing and they are desperate to find him and make sure he is okay. She begs for his help, but he tells her to forget it.

Victor opens his door to allow Dr. Weinstein inside; he is a plastic surgeon. The doctor explains that he does NOT do “vanity” surgery, but Victor is adamant that he will be willing to help him after he explains his son’s situation to him.

Roman and Abe have been waiting on Celeste. She finally shows up and Roman asks her if she is going to help them “nail” E.J. Wells. She says that she had a very disturbing dream about Lexie and Theo and their relationship as a family with Abe. Abe tells her that sometimes dreams are just dreams and don’t necessarily mean anything. She tells him that isn’t the case with her dreams; they are real. She says that Lexie and Theo are the most important things to her and she just can’t put them at risk. Abe explains the urgency, but Celeste says that the dream she had last night made it perfectly clear to her what she had to do. She agrees to help them on one condition; they have to protect Lexie and Theo no matter what it takes. Abe assures her she knows that is his first concern. Roman and Abe show her the cards and ask what they mean. As Celeste lays out the cards, she tells them that they produce very disturbing vibrations. She says they tell a story of terrible calamities that have befallen those who have crossed the bearer of the cards. Abe asks if she means E.J. Wells and, as she holds up one particular card, she says, “Yes. He is the chariot; victorious, willful, and completely in control. He began by upsetting relationships, disrupting marriages, and blackmailing doctors.” She tells them that each new incident brings worse consequences than the one that preceded it. She also tells them that he isn’t finished and the cards predict that there is more danger to come; terrible danger.

Art, the photographer, orders Mimi and Max to leave his apartment, but Max begs him to help them. He tells him that this guy’s father is rich and he could possibly be rewarded, as well as have a great story to write. Art gives them 2 minutes to explain. Max shows him the picture and tells him Phillip’s name and mentions the fact that he has a prosthetic leg. Art takes the paper and tells them that there was a guy there that day with a prosthetic leg that was very high-tech and this guy got upset when his picture was taken. Mimi thinks it is Phillip, but the guy says that this guy’s name was Andrew Spivey from Muskogee, Oklahoma. Max asks if he has any more photos, but the guy brushes them off, telling them that he has work to do and a deadline to meet. Max asks again if he will allow them to look at the photos for 5 minutes. Art is hesitant, but he allows them to go through the pictures. Max and Mimi look at a picture through a magnifier and Mimi is 100% sure that this is a picture of Phillip.

Belle is sure that Phillip left Salem because of her, but Marlena disagrees, telling her that there were a lot of reasons he left. Belle still blames herself and tells Marlena that he took excellent care of her and Claire and she just let him go. Marlena asks her if she regrets that. Belle says that she has made a lot of bad decisions and she doesn’t want to make anymore. She just doesn’t understand why she is taking all this out on Shawn; she didn’t even let him see Claire on Thanksgiving. Marlena wonders why, but Belle has no idea. She thinks that it is because Claire still considers Phillip her father. After everything Claire has been through, she doesn’t want to “screw” her up. Belle tells Marlena, as a psychiatrist, she needs her to tell her what to do. Marlena tells her that children are resilient and she needs to quit being so hard on herself. Belle says that the reason she turned out like she did is because she had a strong family; a mother and father that were there for her always. She says that she and Shawn aren’t together, and by the looks of things now, they never will be.

As Shawn holds Willow, he tells her that he tried to get Belle to let him see Claire on Thanksgiving, but she wouldn’t let him. She knows that hurt him, and he agrees, saying that whatever he tries to do, it never seems to be enough; he thinks Belle hates him. Willow tells him that she doesn’t think this is about Claire, but Belle, because he really loves Belle. She thinks he has convinced himself if he can please Belle, they could eventually be a couple again. Shawn tries to say something, but Willow interrupts. She tells him that she has met Belle’s type before and no one will ever be good enough for her. There is a knock at the door and Shawn opens it to find Bo standing there. Willow, in her “naughty nighty”, walks right up to Bo asking him if he had a good Thanksgiving. He obliges her with a response and she leaves to get dressed. Shawn tells Bo that he knows he doesn’t like Willow, and if he doesn’t want to see her, he should call next time before he comes over. Bo didn’t come to talk about Willow, but before he can answer, Shawn says that he knows he wants to talk to him about quitting his job with E.J.

Roman asks Celeste to please be more specific in her readings. She tells him it is complicated; it isn’t which card that comes up, it is in what proximity that they are in. She asks if this is the order that the cards were found in because it is very important. Roman says that they are laid out here just like they were found. She picks up a card called “The Empress”, and tells them that she represents motherhood and abundance, but she is coupled by the “Five of Clubs” which is the forbearer of loss and bereavement. Roman wonders if these cards could signify Belle and Mimi and the embryo switch. Celeste says that Belle brings up a much stronger vibration than Mimi and she is accompanied by the hanged man. Celeste sighs and says that someone was sacrificed; someone who had already lost a great deal. She says, “Phillip. He lost his leg and his daughter and now he’s gone.” Roman suggests that Kayla lost a lot too, but Abe jumps up and thinks this is a waste of time. He doesn’t want generalities that could apply to anyone. She tells him that he should be grateful that she’s helping him at all because she is risking life and limb doing this. He stops and walks toward her and asks her if she is being threatened by E.J. and the Dimera’s.

Belle thinks she has screwed up, but Marlena disagrees with her. Belle says that she left Phillip and has put so many demands on Shawn that it makes it pretty much impossible for him to even see Claire. She asks Marlena who is she to demand that Shawn get a job when she doesn’t even have one herself, and wonders what kind of role model that is for her daughter. Marelena tells her that she needs to be a loving mother to Claire, which is the most important thing for her right now, and she tells her that she does have a job; the important job of staying home with her daughter and caring for her. She says that there are women that can’t afford to do that. Belle says the only reason she is able to do that is because she is totally dependant on her mother and father. Marlena is glad to help her, but Belle thinks that is wrong. Marlena tells her what is wrong is keeping a child from its father. She says that there are some situations where it isn’t possible for children to have both their parents, but this isn’t the case with Claire because it is possible for her to have both of her parents.

Shawn tells Bo that he is sick and tired of him coming here and trying to get him to quit his job. Bo says that he is here to tell him that they were disappointed that he didn’t show up for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Shawn says that he had better things to do rather than hang out with the dysfunctional Brady bunch. Bo says, “Like hang out with your hooker girlfriend?” This infuriates Shawn, and he tells Bo that he is a guest in his home and he’s not going to listen to this crap. Bo tells him if he was smart, he’d send Willow packing and work things out with the mother of his child. Shawn brings up his job again and Bo tells him that he’s making “dirty” money. Shawn disagrees, and refers to the statements that Roman and Abe made on television saying that they were wrong and had no case against E.J. Bo tries to explain that they had no choice but to air that because E.J. was threatening a $40 million lawsuit against the precinct and every one of them. Shawn tells Bo that he’s always got an excuse for himself. Bo tells Shawn that E.J. is going down and that if he knew what was good for him, he’d get away before he gets drug down with him. Shawn says that he’s starting to sound like a broken record, walks to the door and opens it, and tells Bo that he can leave now. As Bo walks out, he turns around and gets in Shawn’s face and tells him that he’s been warned.

Victor tells Dr. Weinstein that his son is a Marine who lost his leg in the war and he became so proficient that he talked his superiors into letting him re-enlist so he could go to Afghanistan to work in military intelligence. He says that on his way to his first mission, his jeep was fire bombed and his injuries were extensive and his face is un-recognizable. He promised Phillip that he would help make him better, and once he read of his experimental procedures, he knew he was the man for the job; the only way to help Phillip is with a face transplant.

Willow comes out of her room and tells Shawn not to let Bo get him down. She tells Shawn that his only problem right now is that he gives every dime he makes to a woman that makes him jump through hoops so he can see his kid. And, she says out of spite, he doesn’t get to see her anyway. Shawn tells her that she doesn’t understand, but she disagrees. She tells him that he is going to get that convertible that he’s been talking about and the two of them are going to put the top down and go on the best joy ride ever. He likes that idea and she starts kissing him as the phone rings. It’s Belle and she wonders if he wants to spend some time with Claire. She asks him to come over and see her before she puts her down for a nap. She also wants him to stay afterwards so they can talk. He agrees and tells her that he is on his way. Willow is disappointed that he is leaving and tells him that Belle is messing with his head again. Shawn leaves.

Marlena tells Belle that she is proud of her and that she did the right thing. She reminds her that whatever issues she has with Shawn shouldn’t come in between him and Claire having a relationship. Belle knows, but also knows that so much has changed between the two of them. Marlena reminds her of the love they once shared together, and all Belle can think about is that she “screwed” up her marriage to Phillip and doesn’t want to make the same mistake again. Belle’s phone rings and its Max. He tells her to come to the garage and he will fill her in on what he and Mimi discovered in Chicago about Phillip. As Belle rushes out, she tells Marlena to let Shawn spend as much time with Claire as he wants and she will return soon.

Bo comes over to Abe’s to hear Celeste read the cards. He sits down and she gets started. Celeste starts putting down cards and commenting on each of them; “Carrie’s marriage to Lucas; Samantha’s engagement to Austin; they are the four lovers, but they were tainted by the three of swords; it brings heartbreak and loneliness. But then, there is a temperance….the source of health and balance. (which is positive, but..) It is accompanied by the five pentacles and they represent illness and sacrifice.” Roman says that sounds like Kayla and Steve; Celeste agrees. She lays down another card called the Tower which means a downfall. Abe relates that to John and Marlena’s plane crash after it was sabotaged. Bo asks Celeste if these cards were sent to E.J. as coded instructions to target specific members and friends of the Brady’s. Celeste agrees, but Abe wants to know who would have sent them, and asks her if these cards can also predict the future. She says that he is right; they do predict the future. She puts her hands over the cards lying spread out on the table and says that she sees many untold calamities still to come; lies, betrayal, kidnapping, adultery, and disappearances. She sees many tears to be shed, but she says it’s what the cards do not say that trouble her the most. She says that there are 78 cards in a tarot deck, but there are only 77 cards here, and one is missing; the death card. And that, she says, is what the future holds.

Marlena lets Shawn inside her apartment and tells him that Belle had to rush out for a while. She tells him to spend as much time with Claire as he would like. Marlena tells Shawn that she knows both of them are having a hard time right now, especially Belle, being dependant on her family. He understands that but says that she shouldn’t feel that way because having family and friends that want to take care of her is a good thing. He says that Belle has made it clear that she doesn’t want him to be one of those people. Marlena tells him that Belle cares a lot about him.

Belle rushes into the garage and wants to know what Max and Mimi found out. He tells her that the Marine in the photo is Andrew Spivey, but Mimi steps in telling her that they think he is using an alias. They show her another photo, and Belle agrees that this is Phillip. Max tells her that this guy also has a prosthetic leg and Belle realizes that Phillip was shipped off to Afghanistan. Max tells her that he came home before and he will come home again, but Belle is worried that he doesn’t think he has anything to come home to this time. She wonders what she is supposed to tell Claire if he gets killed; that her daddy is dead because of her.

Dr. Weinstein walks in Phillip’s room and Victor introduces them, telling Phillip that he is here to help him make a complete recovery. The doctor turns to face Victor to warn him that there are no guarantees. Victor leaves and the doctor tells Phillip he wants to examine him and he is going to remove the bandages. In another room, Victor is on the phone with Art, the photographer, who has called to tell him that Max and Mimi came to him looking for answers about Phillip. Victor thanks him for calling and tells him he will take care of it; no one can find out about Phillip. In Phillip’s room, the doctor looks at his face after the bandages have been removed. (We can’t see him)

Abe reminds Celeste that there has already been a murder; Eve Michaels. She is aware of this, but this isn’t the death that she sees. She says that Eve was a stranger, and the death to come will be someone that they all deeply care about. Bo wants to know who, but Celeste has no idea who is going to die. Roman wants her to tell him who is sending E.J. these cards. She turns to him and tells him that he doesn’t need the cards or her to tell him that; this is family versus family. Roman says, “Brady’s and Dimera’s”. Celeste agrees and tells them that this is all out war. Roman talks to Bo and can’t understand how Stephano could be involved because he is dead and Tony is in prison and the Dimera’s have broken up. Bo says that they always rise from the dead like the Phoenix. Abe and Celeste are by themselves and he looks at her and asks her point blank if E.J. is a Dimera. Celeste says that he must be. Abe tells Roman and Bo that they have to stop E.J. before he gets the other card and acts on it.

Dr. Weinstein comes out from evaluating Phillip and Victor asks if he will help him. The doctor agrees to try, but tells him that it will not be easy and there will be no promises. Facial transplant surgery is still highly experimental and very expensive. Victor tells him that money is no object and he wants him to start immediately. Dr. Weinstein tells him that they have to find a donor first and he will put him on the list immediately, and when a suitable donor is found, he will have him transferred to his office in Quebec to perform the transplant. As Victor is writing out a check, he asks the doctor how much it would cost to have Phillip moved to the top of the list. He tells Victor that the system is regulated. Victor hands him a check telling him that this should fund his research for a generous amount of time. Dr. Weinstein looks at the check and agrees that this will do for a long while and tells Victor that he will see what he can do about the waiting list.

Mimi tells Belle that this is as much her fault as it is Belle’s. Max says that it doesn’t matter whose fault it is anymore because they are going to find Phillip. Mimi suggests they go to Victor with this information, but Belle does not want to involve him. Mimi says that he has the money and connections to help them, but Belle tells her that it doesn’t matter; she doesn’t trust him. She thinks they can do this on their own and she wants to find him and tell him to come home to his family. Belle leaves to go home to Claire. Max tells Mimi if Belle finds Phillip and tells him to come home, Shawn won’t be very happy.

Shawn has been playing with Claire, and when Marlena comes back into the room, he says that he has to leave soon. Before he leaves, he asks her if Belle really told her that she still cared about him. Marlena tells him that it is true, but Shawn wants her to tell him why Belle told him that she doesn’t want him in her life anymore. She asks him why he has done some of the things he has done lately, and tells him that she thinks both of them are hurting; both of their marriages have ended and they are trying to put their lives back together. She tells him that he and Belle have a very special relationship and she believes if they are meant to be together, they will find their way back together. Shawn doesn’t think Belle is even thinking about getting back together with him because she is spending too much time thinking about Phillip. Marlena tells him when a marriage ends there are a lot of conflicting feelings. He says that he isn’t going to waste anymore of his life waiting for her to make up her mind; he’s already done it once. He promises Claire that he will always be there for her and always be her daddy. He kisses Claire and hands her over to Marlena and leaves.

Bo says that they can’t sit back and wait for the Dimera’s to come after them again. Roman tells Celeste that she is going to have to sign a statement about everything she has told them pertaining to the tarot cards and especially that E.J. Wells is a Dimera and they plan to destroy the Brady’s. She absolutely refuses to do that and tells them that she gave them the information, and tells them to do what they want to with it, but leave her out of it. Abe reminds her that Lexie is a victim of this insanity too, but Celeste tells him that she is still alive and she plans to keep it that way. She also tells them that she took a huge risk when she agreed to help them and she has done all she is going to do. She puts her coat on and walks out the door. Abe comes back into the room saying that there is no way the D.A. will bring a case against Wells based on photos of tarot cards and ghost stories from an anonymous source, especially after the embarrassment the department suffered as a result of E.J.’s press conference. Bo says that just leaves them one option.

Shawn comes home and Willow asks about Belle. He tells her that she wasn’t there; something came up at the last minute. Willow is lying on the couch reading a magazine and tells Shawn he is going to have to stop letting Belle jerk him around. He says she is right, and from now on, he is living for himself. He tells her that he is going to start by getting that convertible. This makes her happy, and she gets up and pulls him close to her. She says they should get some designer clothes and a bigger apartment and names off other numerous expensive luxuries. They start kissing and he turns off his cell phone as he lays her down on the couch.

Belle comes home and Marlena asks her where she has been. She tells her about going to the garage because Max and Mimi had information that Phillip has apparently re-enlisted and has been shipped off to Afghanistan. Belle says that he has suffered enough and she needs him to come home so that she knows he is okay.

Victor tells a bandaged Phillip that Dr. Weinstein is one of the best surgeons in the world and will help him get better. He says once he (Phillip) gets better, they are going to take Claire away from Shawn and Belle because they don’t deserve that precious little girl. He tells Phillip that he deserves her and promises him that he is going to get through this.

Bo suggests they call John in for him to help, but Abe reminds him that Marlena doesn’t want him involved in the case. Roman agrees with both of them, but says that they have no choice now but to bring John in; he knows how they think.

Previews for tomorrow:

Kayla: Who would have taken this and why would they have sent it to steve?

Steve: I'm gonna find out.

Hope: Can you explain this?

Marlena: I know what's going on here.

Kate: What?

Marlena: You're sleeping with E.J., Aren't you?

John: You got to swear to me right now that nobody knows about this, especially Marlena.

Abe: Deal.
