Hospital:

Jack nervously paces around the hospital exam room. Jennifer walks in and Jack asks about his results. Jennifer explains that the results have not come in yet even though Abby has been frantically calling. Jennifer mentions having Dr. Berman paged but Jack prefers Lexie. Jack agrees with Jennifer’s assumption that the news is good so Lexie didn’t feel the need to be there when Abe had asked her to come by the police station. They make small talk about whether Abe and Lexie still plan to go through with the divorce. Jack asks for Jennifer’s opinion about his tests and likes that she feels confident the tests will show that Jack is in remission. Frankie arrives and Jack explains that he asked Frankie to be here to share in the news of his test results.

Chez Rouge:

Maggie closes down the restaurant for the Salem Grand Prix Press Conference. Abby complains to Max and Chelsea that Jack’s test results are taking too long. Max assures Abby that test results normally can take hours and he and Chelsea try to comfort her. Max insists that even Frankie wants Jack to have a clean bill of health. Philip joins them and updates them on Will still being missing. Abby suggests that Will was too embarrassed to face his classmates after the wedding and cut school. Philip negates that theory and sends Max away to get ready for the press conference.

Stephanie turns around at the exact moment that Max walks by and they run into each other. They tease each other about not paying attention and running into each other on the racetrack. They joke about pretending to hate each other in front of the press.

Kate coaches EJ on how to promote Basic Black and ARC during the press conference but EJ tells her he doesn’t need coaching. Maggie walks up to Kate to ask about Will. Maggie offers to postpone the press conference but as Kate hesitates, EJ assures Maggie that while they also thought of that, everyone involved decided it was best to keep busy.

Police station:

Bo, with a hint of annoyance, talks with a caller who is phoning in a tip claiming to have seen Will. Bo asks if the kid they saw had red hair, unlike Will, and when the caller says yes, Bo yells that it’s the wrong kid and slams down the phone. Abe walks in and Bo complains about the crackpot calls. Abe shares his theory that Will is still in town and Bo mentions how Roman is out looking for Will. Abe complains that Sami didn’t save the notes and Bo explains that Sami was convinced Lexie sent the notes though he can’t believe Lexie would go so far as to kidnap Will. Abe isn’t so sure what Lexie is capable of anymore. Abe brings up the press conference and how the Brady part of the racecar drivers could be targeted and Bo assures him that several plain clothes officers posing as reporters are already on their way. Abe mentions using the afternoon to keep Lexie busy on that fake date but hopes that Lexie doesn’t catch on to his investigation or get too attached to the idea of them getting back together. Bo is confident that the press conference will go off without a hitch but Abe isn’t so sure.

Hospital:

Jack is asked by a nurse to go over some more insurance forms and Jennifer and Frankie agree to wait outside. Frankie insists to Jennifer that he wants Jack to go into remission but then asks what will happen if Jack does get better. Jennifer feels conflicted that she loves both men but is also angry with Jack for not telling her he was dying in the first place. Jennifer gives Frankie an out but Frankie vows to stick around. Dr. Berman walks up and Jennifer and Frankie follow him back into Jack’s room.

Chez Rouge:

Abby pulls Chelsea aside to ask if Shawn seeing Claire’s file in his cubicle the paternity secret she was hinting at. Chelsea admits to being the one to leave the file and shocks Abby when she tells her that no one believed the file. Chelsea believes that Shawn and Belle never really slept together so she and Abby discuss the possibility that someone doctored the file and left it for Chelsea to find. Chelsea brings up how Philip and Shawn think the file leaver is the same person who switched the embryos. Abby questions whether they are right and Chelsea is so hurt by the accusation that she storms off.

Philip greets Kate and EJ and questions Kate about leaving Basic Black to start this new company called Mythic Communications. Philip is bothered that he didn’t hear that from Kate personally before hearing it on the news. Kate explains that they intended to announce it at the press conference but it ended up on the news first. EJ explains that it was his idea to keep the new company a secret. Philip asks if EJ is all about control and power and EJ insists that he intends to stay out in front.

Police station:

Bo and Abe discuss how Lexie is the only connection between Sami’s blackmail threats and Eve’s murder. They both agree that there is someone bigger controlling everything and also must have the missing disc. Abe sighs as he writes Lexie’s name on the suspect board. Lexie arrives but the board is facing the other way so she doesn’t notice her name on the list.

Chez Rouge:

EJ asks about Philip claiming to be competition now and Philip gloats about how teaming up with Victor will give him the advantage over Kate and Austin’s companies. EJ remains confident and welcomes the competition.

Abby catches up with Chelsea and apologizes for asking if she switched the embryos. Chelsea claims that Abby asked because she’s the first one to be blamed when things go wrong but insists that this time it wasn’t her.

Police station:

Bo moves the board out of sight while Abe greets Lexie. Bo mentions heading over to the press conference to leave them alone to talk. Abe tells Lexie that he has made a mistake and wants to withdraw his petition for divorce.

Hospital:

Dr. Berman explains that they don’t have the results yet because they had to send the lab work to the doctor in charge of the trial. Dr. Berman leaves and Jennifer gives Jack a comforting hug. Frankie offers to call his doctor friend. Frankie mentions the press conference and invites them along. Jack wants to head home but urges Jennifer to go with Frankie. Jennifer refuses to leave Jack alone so Frankie leaves for the conference by himself. Jack receives a cell phone call and it is the mechanical voice calling to tell Jack that they have information on Eve’s murder.

Chez Rouge:

Max, now dressed in his racing jacket, knocks on Stephanie’s door to urge her to hurry up. Stephanie comes out casually but neatly dressed and asks if Max thinks she should take off her racing jacket. Chelsea watches as Max admires Stephanie’s outfit. Chelsea interrupts and explains that Philip sent her to see what is keeping them. Stephanie remembers her helmet and heads back into the room to get it. Max grabs Chelsea’s face in his hands and kisses her. Chelsea likes hearing that he’s glad she came.

Maggie greets Frankie and asks about Jennifer. Frankie confirms that Jennifer stayed with Jack and vents to Maggie about not being able to wait. Maggie asks about Jack’s health but Frankie can only tell her that the results aren’t in yet.

Hospital:

Jennifer wants to know who is on the phone but Jack holds her at bay. Jack asks for the caller’s name but the caller only laughs. Jack repeats for Jennifer’s benefit that the caller has information on Eve’s death. Jennifer opens her mouth in shock. The caller insists on telling Jack the news in person promising it to be a great scoop. Jack explains that he hasn’t been back to work in a while. The caller suggests using this as a re-entry story and Jack agrees to meet him. The caller tells Jack to meet him across from the warehouse on pier 5 within the hour. Jack hangs up the call and tells Jennifer that the caller was “deep throat the second.” Jack wants to do the meeting but Jennifer doesn’t want him to do it. Jack runs out of the room leaving Jennifer alone yelling her objections after him.

Police station:

Lexie is relieved to hear that Abe no longer wants the divorce. Abe claims that he’s to blame for not satisfying Lexie and driving her into Tek’s arms. Abe asks for forgiveness and Lexie forgives him readily. Lexie asks for her own forgiveness.

Chez Rouge:

Maggie greets the press and begins the press conference. Chelsea spots Bo walking in and wondering why he is here. Abby suggests that he’s here to support Max. Maggie introduces EJ first and everyone applauds as EJ steps out. EJ explains that while he’s not racing this time, he’s forming the new company with Kate and Austin and then introduces Stephanie as their new company’s driver. Stephanie says a few words and then sits down. Philip steps up to the podium and after explaining that he is here on behalf of Victor and teasing Stephanie about having the better driver, introduces Max to the press. Max looks at Chelsea as he tells the press that he feels like the luckiest guy on the planet.

Police station:

Abe agrees to try and make a go of their relationship as long as Lexie is through with Tek and Lexie agrees. Abe pleases Lexie when he mentions having missed being a family. Abe has to force himself to kiss Lexie.

Lexie assumes that Abe is moving back home but Abe negates that and suggests dinner at the Penthouse Grill. Lexie agrees and mentions calling Celeste to ask her to stay with Theo. Abe jokingly mentions Celeste teaching Theo how to use the tarot cards and Lexie assures Abe that Theo is into collecting NBA cards thanks to him. An officer brings Abe the fingerprint report showing a positive ID on the file left in Shawn’s hospital room.

Chez Rouge:

Chelsea and Max playfully make each other look bad as the press snaps pictures. A reporter asks if the two really hate each other and they claim they do but can’t keep from smiling. The same reporter asks for their winning strategies and they both speak of how to win against several other drivers. The reporter gears the conversation toward the two of them specifically racing against each other. Stephanie insists that it’s letting things get personal that lead to mistakes on the track. Max agrees but insists that they’ll also be racing for bragging rights. Max and Stephanie playfully tease each other about winning while the other comes in dead last. Stephanie and Max call EJ, Kate, and Philip up to the table to stand behind them. EJ compliments Max’s car but then asks if Philip has been taking it out for any more wrecks. Philip decides to let that comment slide and voices confidence in Max’s car because of its new Shawn Brady turbo charger and asks Stephanie to let him know how it sounds when Max’s car laps her. Kate takes the microphone next and politely states that both drivers will represent their companies well. The earlier reporter asks Max and Stephanie if they plan to be racing together off the track as well. Chelsea doesn’t look happy as the crowd murmurs.

Warehouse:

Jack arrives and calls out for the mystery stranger. When no one answers, Jack steps inside and closes the door behind him. He continues to call as he walks through the stacks of boxes. The caller tells Jack to stop where he is and to sit down. The caller steps out but he’s only shown from the legs down. The caller warns that the information must be kept confidential and Jack heads back toward the door. Jack slips behind Jennifer who doesn’t notice him because she’s peeking around the other side of a stack of boxes. Jack taps her on the shoulder and she jumps.

Police station:

Lexie ends her call with Celeste as Abe reads the fingerprint report. Lexie notices Abe’s concerned expression and Abe warns that the file reveals bad news that is as bad as it can get for the Bradys. Abe dials the phone.

Chez Rouge:

Max insists that he and Stephanie are only good friends and introduces Chelsea as his girlfriend. The press snaps Chelsea’s picture. Bo receives the call from Abe. Just as Chelsea is called up to stand by Max in front of everyone, Bo interrupts. He introduces himself as a cop, declares the press conference over and tells everyone to leave. Instead, the press stays put and pries for more information. Kate asks Bo if this is about Will’s kidnapping but Bo tells her that he’s in fact here to take Chelsea into custody.

Warehouse:

Jennifer and Jack argue, in whispers, about Jennifer following him. Jennifer insists that she didn’t think Jack would be safe but Jack insists that he was in no danger until she showed up. Jack calls out to the caller to apologize and refers to Jennifer as his assistant. They walk back over to where Jack was before but the caller is gone. Jack blames Jennifer.

Jack and Jennifer are so busy arguing that they don’t notice the caller left behind a picture of a gun. Jack claims he’s followed leads just fine in the past but Jennifer insists that it was only because she was there to back him up. Jack describes the chance to follow the lead as a high though he starts to feel weary from the excitement and has to lean against a stack of boxes for a moment. Jennifer sarcastically says, “well excuse me” just as Jack notices the gun picture and turns her around to see the gun picture. Jack deduces that this is a photograph of the gun that killed Eve and they leave the warehouse with it.

Police station:

Lexie is shocked at the claim that Chelsea doctored the DNA report and left it for Shawn to find. Lexie suggests to Abe that Chelsea could have also switched the embryos and Abe agrees to the possibility.

Chez Rouge:

Bo leads Chelsea to the door and Chelsea demands to know what is going on as well as Max who follows behind them. Philip is also following and hears Bo tell Chelsea and Max about finding Chelsea’s prints on Claire’s file. Chelsea tries to explain as Abby and Stephanie have now caught up to them. The press continues to murmur and snap pictures as Philip asks for a chance to deal with Chelsea when Bo is done. Bo grabs Chelsea and leads her to the door so she doesn’t say anything else without a lawyer present.

Bo stops once outside the door and asks why Chelsea hates Shawn that much. Chelsea tries to explain but Bo doesn’t want to hear it and forces her to the car. Kate tries to question Philip about the charges but Philip brushes her off as he heads out the door. The same reporter gleefully asks Max about his earlier referral to Chelsea as his good luck charm. Stephanie steps in between Max and the reporter to keep him calm.
