Jail visiting room:

Rex and Patrick beg Roman to let them in to see Mimi. Patrick is worried that Mimi is still in contact with Brenda, the woman who attacked her, but Roman assures Patrick that Mimi has been moved to a private cell and that Marlena is back there with Mimi now. Rex is anxious to go in to see Mimi as soon as Marlena is done but Roman cautions Rex not to get Mimi’s hopes up. Rex and Patrick are confident that the tapes prove Mimi’s innocence. Roman assures them that he isn’t the one who needs convincing but the judge will want to know why this evidence is only being introduced now. Patrick complains that it is because the cops dropped the ball and Roman admits that not viewing the tape was bad police work. Roman reminds Patrick and Rex that they also have Mimi’s confession and Jan’s accusation on tape. Patrick and Rex are still confident that the judge will set Mimi free. Mickey walks up and warns that they shouldn’t be so sure of that.

Mimi’s cell:

Marlena notices Mimi’s black eye and asks if she is all right. Mimi brushes off the concern and quips that she gave as good as she got. Marlena is glad that Mimi is now away from the other women and Mimi sarcastically refers to them as her sorority sisters. Mimi says she better get used to defending herself but Marlena points out that that doesn’t have to be the case if she retracts her confession. Mimi claims she tried to tell Rex the truth but couldn’t. Marlena continues her attempts to get Mimi to retract her plea. Mimi complains that this is just another lousy decision in her life and Marlena starts to reply when she inhales sharply and holds her stomach. Mimi expresses concern but Marlena explains she’s simply feeling sick. Mimi grimaces as Marlena heads over to vomit in the cell’s sink.

Philip’s German hospital room:

Philip is now in his wheelchair as Kate and Belle help pack Philip’s things for the plane ride home. John talks on the phone with the pilot, ensuring that they’ve got clearance and are ready to leave. John ends his call and declares to everyone that he’s glad they are going home now because today is John and Marlena’s anniversary. Belle feels bad that she forgot about the anniversary but John forgives her, hoping that Marlena hasn’t forgotten. Shawn walks in the door, bag in hand, and asks if he can do anything before they leave for the airport. Kate speaks up to tell Shawn no, and that if he thinks he’s flying back with them, he’s mistaken.

Sami’s apartment:

Nicole pours herself another glass and tries to convince Sami to dress up as Stan again to kill Chloe. Sami refuses to do so, pointing out that she ditched the Stan costume in the desert. Nicole begs Sami to do something to get rid of Chloe. Sami tries to convince Nicole to get over Brady but Nicole refuses. Sami acknowledges that Nicole is drunk and tries to throw her out before anyone catches her there. Nicole points out that no one will catch her there because Sami has no friends. Sami points out that Lucas lives down the hall and is already suspicious after catching them talking at Alice’s Bar. Nicole doesn’t care about that, feeling that they’ve already covered for that conversation and helps herself to another drink. Sami warns that Lucas isn’t that easily deceived and grabs the bottle from Nicole. Nicole points out that she knows Lucas because she was once married to him. Sami declares that if Nicole ruins her chances with Lucas, she’ll kill her.

Outside of Sami’s apartment:

Lucas steps out of his apartment and starts to knock on Sami’s door but pauses outside.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami grabs Nicole’s things and tries to throw her out again but Nicole refuses to leave. Sami reluctantly agrees to find a way to help Nicole so that she’ll leave.

Outside of Sami’s apartment:

Lucas decides that it isn’t worth talking to Sami and heads back into his own apartment.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami opens the door and peeks out into the hall. Once sure that the hall is clear, Sami pushes Nicole out into the hall and hands her her stuff. Nicole complains that Sami is being rude and made her spill her drink. Sami turns to go but Nicole whistles to call her back. Nicole leans up against the doorframe and threatens to tell Lucas about Sami’s time as Stan. Sami pulls Nicole back inside the apartment.

Jail visiting room:

Rex can’t believe that Mickey isn’t as confident that the judge will let Mimi go. Mickey warns that it’s the judge’s call. Rex and Patrick step away in frustration. Mickey, in a hushed tone, informs Roman that Shawn missed his pre-trial hearing and now Judge Fitzpatrick has issued a bench warrant for his arrest. Roman is upset at hearing this news. Patrick and Rex step back over to Roman and Mickey and Patrick mentions that he now thinks that they should have gone with Bonnie’s plan to help Mimi escape. Mickey and Roman look at Patrick in shock.

Mimi’s jail cell:

Marlena slowly makes her way over to sit on the bed. Mimi expresses concern again because Marlena looks pale. Marlena assures her that she is fine. Mimi suggests food poisoning but Marlena insists it’s only an upset stomach. Marlena complains that she doesn’t usually feel this way at “this time of the day” and Mimi picks up on the reference to guess that Marlena is pregnant. Marlena looks up at Mimi in shock.

Philip’s hospital room:

Shawn points out that everyone is traveling back on John’s private plane and doesn’t understand why he can’t go with them. Kate claims it is because Shawn only came over here to steal Belle from Philip. Shawn looks at Philip as he claims that he and Philip are fine but Kate doesn’t believe him. Kate wants Shawn to find his own way home and Shawn turns to go. Philip speaks up to tell Shawn to stop and tells him that he is fine with Shawn flying back with them. Kate is surprised and Philip explains that even though Shawn came over to get Belle back, Belle’s already made it clear that she wants to be with him. Kate explains that she’s against Shawn coming with them because he can’t possibly be okay with Belle’s decision but Philip is confident that he and Shawn have talked things through. Shawn agrees and John makes sure Belle is okay with the idea as well. John pushes Philip’s wheelchair and has Shawn grab Philip’s bag and they head out of the hospital. Kate allows Belle to pass through the door in front of her so that she can turn back and give Shawn a glaring look before catching up with everyone else.

Jail visiting room:

Roman is angry that Bonnie planned to bust Mimi out of jail. Mickey laughs off the suggestion and blames it on Bonnie’s tendency to talk nonsense when she’s upset. Mickey then turns to Patrick and assures him that he meant that in the most positive way. Roman insists to Patrick and Rex that they must let the judge handle this. Rex complains to Mickey that it’s killing him to see Mimi behind bars and knows it must be terrifying for her. Roman agrees that it has to be tough on a sweet kid like Mimi but is glad that Marlena is back there with her now.

Mimi’s cell:

Mimi is happy to hear that Marlena is pregnant and asks if John knows. Marlena explains that John doesn’t know and mentions their anniversary. Mimi gushes about how being pregnant will be a great anniversary present and how Belle will be so thrilled. Mimi jokes about how Marlena doesn’t waste any time after getting back from Europe but then realizes that for Marlena to know she is pregnant, she’d have to be further along and therefore the baby can’t be John’s baby. Mimi profusely apologizes. Marlena confides in Mimi that the baby is Roman’s baby and that she hasn’t told either man yet. Mimi asks if the time spent in the castle has made Marlena and Roman fall in love again.

Outside of Sami’s apartment:

Lucas heads back over to Sami’s apartment but once again stops and sighs before knocking.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami tells Nicole that she can’t tell anyone that she was Stan and offers to make her some coffee. Nicole insists she doesn’t need coffee and knows exactly what she is doing. Sami asks Nicole if she knows what would happen if she told everyone that she was Stan and Nicole points out that that is why she is threatening Sami with it. Nicole heads for the bottle again but Sami stops her. Sami reminds Nicole of their deal and Nicole points out that a deal is a two way street.

Basic Black jet:

Shawn is sitting by himself and Kate and John are sitting across from each other. Philip is lying on the couch by the windows when Belle walks into the main room of the plane. Belle sits on the couch next to Philip and tells him to get some rest. Philip takes Belle’s hand and thanks Belle for staying with him and Belle tells him to stop thanking her because as his wife, she is right where she belongs.

Kate thanks John for putting up with her as well and for taking care of Philip. John says that Philip is a hero and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for him. Kate persists and John says it works both ways and jokes about how he thinks Kate even fixed his back. John glances at his watch and Kate recalls that John is missing part of his anniversary. John takes comfort in the fact that they’ll be home soon. John and Kate decide that it will be good to see their spouses and Kate watches Belle lightly kiss Philip on the cheek before getting up. John tells Kate that he thinks, like her, that Belle and Philip are going to make their marriage work. John gets up to go talk to the pilot.

Plane bathroom:

Shawn looks around and once realizing that no one is paying attention to him, ducks behind the curtain and waits outside the plane bathroom. When Belle opens the door to step out of the bathroom, Shawn forces her back inside to talk alone. Belle tries to end the conversation before it can start but reluctantly agrees to hear Shawn out. Shawn tells Belle that he wants her to know that this isn’t over for he is not giving up on them.

Jail visiting room:

Rex paces the room and slams a chair around as his frustration at having to wait to hear from the judge grows. Mickey complains that they shouldn’t even be here tonight because there is no guarantee that the judge will even call tonight. Rex complains that it shouldn’t be taking this long because all the judge has to do is look at the tapes. Roman cautions Rex that he is letting his emotions get the best of him and Rex agrees by pointing out that the woman he loves is in jail for a crime she didn’t commit. Roman reminds Rex, in a raised voice, that Mimi confessed and Rex claims that people confess to crimes they didn’t commit all the time because they get browbeaten. Roman assures Rex that Mimi was not browbeaten and tries to assure Rex that he understands that Rex loves Mimi. Rex agrees and says that Roman would do the same thing for the woman he loves.

Mimi’s jail cell:

Mimi apologizes again to Marlena and advises that John will understand the circumstances that led to Roman and Marlena sleeping together. Marlena admits that John would have understood had she told him from the beginning but instead she let Roman talk her into keeping it a secret for they both never expected to wind up pregnant. Mimi agrees, at Marlena’s request, to keep the pregnancy a secret. Mimi empathizes with Marlena by recalling how she never expected to wind up pregnant either and then confirms that Marlena would never consider an abortion. Mimi concludes that she lost the love of her life because she decided not to have a baby and Marlena may lose the love of her life because she decided to have a baby. Mimi recalls that Marlena advised her to tell Rex the truth and confirms that Marlena will tell John the truth. Marlena is glad that she doesn’t have to worry about finding the right moment to tell John today because he is still in Europe. Mimi confirms that Marlena will also tell Roman and just as Marlena says yes, Roman walks up and asks what Marlena plans on telling him.

Roman lets himself into Mimi’s jail cell so he can face Marlena as he asks again what he needs to know. Mimi quickly speaks up to say that Marlena was talking about asking Roman to let her out because the visit is over. Marlena appears disoriented and Roman expresses his concern. Marlena claims she simply has an upset stomach and will be fine. Roman suggests taking Marlena home and Marlena agrees. Mimi thanks Marlena for coming to see her and Roman for putting her in a private cell. Marlena tells Mimi to call her if she needs anything and steps outside the cell with Roman. Roman locks the cell and walks away. Mimi calls Marlena to the bars to wish her good luck. Marlena wishes Mimi good luck and follows Roman out.

Jail visiting room:

Mickey is pacing the room as they continue to wait for the judge’s call. Rex thanks Patrick for his help. Patrick brushes off Rex’s appreciation by pointing out that Mimi is his sister so he has the same desire to get Mimi out as Rex. Rex thinks that if people who think Patrick can’t be trusted would watch how he is with his family, they’d realize that Patrick is a good guy. Patrick says he can blame his past partly on his family because the weakness for petty larceny and the occasional con game is passed down from mother to son. Patrick thinks that Bonnie’s scams are usually harmless and she only ends up hurting herself. Mickey speaks up to agree with Patrick because Bonnie would do anything for her children. Rex wishes he could understand why Mimi pleaded guilty. Patrick advises Rex to put the whole ordeal behind them once Mimi gets out. A female police officer comes in and tells Mickey that he has a phone call from Judge Fitzpatrick. Mickey glances at Rex and Patrick and then decides to take the call out at the officer’s station.

Sami’s apartment:

Lucas reaches for Sami’s doorknob but stops when he sees it moving because Sami is about to open it from the other side. Lucas says Sami’s name and Sami forces Nicole into the closet. Nicole grabs the liquor bottle on the way. Sami rushes back to the door, takes a deep breath, and throws open the door to greet Lucas. Sami lets Lucas in and is touched to hear that Will called from camp and wanted to tell Sami that he misses her. Lucas suggests that they talk and while Sami agrees, the conversation is interrupted when they hear Nicole hiccupping from the closet. Sami pretends that she didn’t hear it but Lucas persists. Sami blames it on something falling in the closet but Lucas doesn’t believe her. Sami unsuccessfully tries to stop Lucas but Lucas opens the closet door anyway and finds Nicole sitting on the floor with a coat over her head. Lucas wants to know what is going on and Nicole pulls the coat off of her head and hiccups again.

Basic Black Jet:

John returns to sit across from Kate. Kate shares with him how she was thinking that it’s good for Philip to have Belle help him through the road ahead. John likens Philip’s situation to when he had Kate and Marlena’s help to get him through his drug addiction. Kate asks if this means that love conquers all and John reaches out to touch Kate’s hand.

Plane bathroom:

Belle tries to convince Shawn that their relationship is over. Shawn tells Belle that he loves her and will not accept this decision because it isn’t right. Belle doesn’t want to hear this and Shawn assumes that it’s because Belle knows he is right. Belle claims it is because her husband is right outside as well as her father and mother-in-law. Shawn complains that the idea of Belle remaining with Philip is driving him crazy. Belle insists that this is the way it is going to be and too many things have happened and it’s too late for things to work out the way they hoped. Turbulence rocks the plane and Belle suddenly doesn’t look well.

Penthouse:

Marlena and Roman return to the penthouse. Marlena sympathizes with Mimi and quickly covers up a reaction to her stomach discomfort while her back is to Roman. They talk about their hopes for the judge to free Mimi and how Rex is really hurting to see Mimi in jail. Roman remarks that they want to see their kids happy and it reminds him that he talked to Eric last night. Roman relays to Marlena that Eric is thinking of coming to visit soon and Marlena delights in the news and adds that seeing Eric would be good for Sami. Roman blames Stefano for Sami’s mess of a life but Marlena points out that Sami is a grown woman now and should take responsibility for her own actions. Even though Roman agrees, Marlena says that Roman should also blame her for Sami’s messed up life because of all the bad things that went on while Sami was living with them. Marlena worries that it’s too late to help Sami but Roman disagrees. Marlena doesn’t think that Sami really slept with Brandon and Roman brings up how Kate thinks that Sami did even though he agrees with Marlena. Roman rationalizes Kate’s behavior by pointing out that Lucas is her son but Marlena tells Roman that she doesn’t like Kate’s attitude. Roman asks if it is because Kate can’t get along with Sami but Marlena says it is because Kate hates Sami. Marlena warns that if Kate can’t find a way to get along with Sami, then she and Kate will have to have this one out.

Mimi’s jail cell:

Mimi paces her cell before coming to stand against the bars. Mimi tries to fathom how Marlena could be going through the same thing she went through. The earlier female guard walks up and tells Mimi that Mickey and Patrick are here to see her. Mimi agrees to see them and the guard escorts her to the visiting room.

Jail visiting room:

While they wait to see Mimi, Patrick thanks Mickey for his help with Mimi’s case. Mickey complains that Mimi won’t let him do much. Patrick assures Mickey that they all appreciate it, even Mimi. Mimi arrives on the cell side of the visitor’s room and Patrick greets her. Mickey tells Mimi they have news about her case and Mimi guesses that she’s off to Statesville. Patrick starts to negate her but then Mimi notices Rex standing in the doorway. Patrick gets up and lets Rex sit down in front of Mimi. Mimi is angry with Patrick for tricking her and Patrick yells at her to calm down. Mimi calls for the guard to take her back to her cell and Patrick yells at Rex for coming in.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami takes her coat off of Nicole and drags her to the door. As Nicole walks by Lucas, he fans the air as he picks up on the smell of alcohol on her breath. Nicole whispers to Sami that she promised to help and refers to her as Stanley. Sami tells Nicole to shut up and pushes her out the door. Sami tells Lucas that Nicole was drunk and came to pick a fight with her over losing Brady. Lucas points out that Sami and Brady aren’t friends and coming to her wouldn’t help Nicole. Sami claims she empathized with Nicole because she knows how it feels to be desperate for her love life. Lucas yells at Sami for hiding Nicole from him and complains that he can never trust her. Lucas thinks coming to talk to Sami was a big mistake and starts to leave but Sami grabs his arm and begs him not to go.

Penthouse:

Roman recalls Kate’s promise to try and get along with Sami and Marlena points out that Kate has broken that promise. Roman suggests that Sami gave Kate a reason but Marlena doesn’t believe that. Marlena believes that Sami wanted Lucas and not Brandon and would not have willingly slept with Brandon on the eve of her wedding to Lucas. Roman reiterates Sami’s claim that Kate set her up. Marlena isn’t sure that Sami isn’t telling the truth about that. Marlena however doesn’t believe Sami’s claim that Kate and John spent the time while she and Roman were gone, ganging up on Sami. Roman tells Marlena not to make excuses for John just like he can’t make excuses for Kate. Roman proclaims that if he does find out that Kate set Sami up, then their marriage is over. Marlena is surprised that Roman would be that drastic. Roman tells Marlena that if Sami is telling the truth then they both have to stand by her and help Sami get her life back on track. Roman hopes that it won’t call for Marlena to have to choose between Sami and John. Marlena bends over and grabs her stomach and Roman expresses his concern. Marlena excuses herself and runs out of the room to be sick in private.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami blames her recent behavior on her monetary worries. Lucas suggests asking her parents for help. Sami claims that she wants to be an adult and not rely on them but also that this is about Lucas and Will because she wants to be a family with them. Lucas wants to know how Sami could have ended up in bed with Brandon if her goal was to be a family with him. Sami insists that that was Kate’s fault and she knew it before Tony confirmed it. Lucas wants to see Tony’s proof but Sami doesn’t feel that Tony will give her the proof now. Sami is determined to find the proof that Kate set her up. Lucas, angry, turns to leave. Sami stops Lucas to ask if he’ll take her back if she finds proof. Lucas proclaims that he didn’t stop loving Sami; he only stopped trusting her. Sami fights back tears as she insults Kate and Lucas takes offense. Lucas asks Sami when it will be his turn to be blamed just like Sami blames everyone else for her problems. Sami insists that that will never happen. Lucas says he can’t trust Sami again and storms out. Sami watches him leave as the tears fall down her face.

Outside Sami’s apartment:

Lucas spots Nicole, who never made it past Sami’s door, sitting on the floor and nursing the bottle she swiped from Sami. Lucas squats down to tell Nicole that she should do something about her drinking problem. Nicole claims she is doing something about it now and takes another drink from the bottle. Nicole asks Lucas to give her a ride home and Lucas offers to call her a cab. Lucas helps Nicole stand and offers to take her to her first AA meeting when she’s ready to admit her problem. Lucas heads down the hall and Nicole follows him.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami pushes the chairs back in as she curses Nicole and decides that she must focus on Eugenia to get Lucas back. Sami dumps the liquor leftover in Nicole’s glass into a potted plant.

Jail visiting room:

The guard has arrived to take Mimi back to her cell. Patrick and Mickey try to convince Mimi to stay and listen to Rex. Mimi refuses, claiming that her life is over and seeing Rex here only makes it harder. Rex tells her that her life isn’t over, only the nightmare of being in jail is over. Mimi doesn’t understand because she still thinks she’s being shipped off to Statesville. Rex tries to explain but Mimi yells at them to leave her alone. Patrick yells at Mimi to shut up and listen and Mimi makes them promise to leave and not come back once she hears them out. Rex explains that they all came to tell her that she is free.

Plane bathroom:

Shawn expresses his concern but Belle blames it on the turbulence. The plane shakes again and Belle fights back the urge to be sick. Shawn expresses concern again but Belle holds up her hand to tell him to go. Shawn vows that they aren’t finished yet and steps out of the bathroom. Kate is standing outside and warns Shawn to stay away from her son’s wife. Shawn complains that Kate needn’t keep reminding him that Belle is married to Philip and heads back into the main cabin. Kate remarks that soon Shawn will have to give up because he’ll be behind bars and out of Belle and Philip’s life forever.

Basic Black jet:

Another round of turbulence shakes the plane and wakes Philip. John rushes over to sit on the couch with Philip. John assures Philip that the pilot said they should be out of this weather system in a couple minutes. Another bit of turbulence shakes the plane. Philip is happy to put up with the turbulence because it means he is headed home to be with Belle. Philip fingers his wedding band as another round of turbulence rocks the plane. John empathizes and Philip apologizes for making John leave Marlena so soon after getting her back. John tells Philip not to apologize and vows to do his best to make sure he and Marlena are never separated again.

Penthouse:

Marlena returns to Roman in the living room and takes a deep breath before apologizing for having to run out. Roman expresses his concern again but Marlena insists it’s only an upset stomach and she’ll be fine. Roman wonders if Marlena has the flu and feels her forehead for signs of a fever. Marlena insists that she is fine. Roman hates to leave Marlena while she’s not feeling well but Marlena insists that she’ll just have some herbal tea and crackers and will be fine. Marlena notes Roman’s puzzled look and Roman recalls that Marlena used to use herbal tea and crackers back when she was pregnant. Marlena avoids Roman’s gaze. Roman asks Marlena if she really is pregnant.
