Mickey is setting up his papers at the defendant’s desk. Bonnie rushes into the courtroom followed closely by Belle. Bonnie rushes over to Mickey, frantic to learn that Mimi has been arrested for murder. Belle and Tek exchange glances. Mickey tries to calm Bonnie down but Bonnie won’t calm down. Mickey defends Tek’s actions by citing Jan’s taped confession. Bonnie begs Mickey to try and convince Mimi not to plead guilty and Mickey promises to try. The bailiff brings Mimi in, dressed in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffed. Bonnie rushes over and hugs Mimi, assuring her that everything is going to be all right.

Penthouse:

John is sitting on the living room couch, working on his laptop. Marlena enters the living room carrying a tray of tea. Marlena insists that it is time for a break but John won’t tear himself away from the computer. Marlena puts the tray down before sitting across from John. Marlena notes that John is now 48 hours drug free and asks how he feels. John admits that he’s a little shaky but insists that he’s hanging in there. Marlena smiles and then gets up to pour the tea. John slowly and in obvious pain, makes his way over to Marlena as he tells her that with her help, he’ll beat the addiction. Marlena hands him his cup of tea and corrects him by saying that together they will beat the addiction. John nods and kisses Marlena. Marlena is anxious to get the Salem Squad home so that John can then focus his attention on finding Sami. Marlena is worried because she hasn’t heard from Sami in so long and John agrees that he doesn’t like not having heard from her. John promises to track Sami down. The doorbell interrupts their conversation. John returns to his computer while Marlena answers the door. Marlena greets Billie who is glad to see Marlena standing before her. Marlena lets Billie in upon confirming that she’s here for news on the Salem Squad and John greets her with the news that the boys are in protective marine custody. Billie asks about Philip next but John doesn’t have any news on him. Billie admits that while it is good news that Kate will have Lucas and Rex back, she didn’t come for that; she came to ask Marlena a favor.

Police station:

Bo is working on the computer as Roman watches over his shoulder. Roman asks if there is anything new and Bo answers that there hasn’t been any news since learning that the Salem Squad are with the Marines. Roman wants to call Kate but Bo says he is going to wait to call Hope until they have a timeframe on when the boys will be flying home.

Hope steps out of the woman’s room and is spotted by Kate who has just arrived. Hope tells Kate to save her breath if she is hear to make excuses to Bo for Billie’s behavior. Hope tells Kate that both she and Bo are furious at Billie. Kate pretends to be amazed that Hope blames everything wrong in her marriage on Billie. Hope points out that Billie sleeping with Bo while Billie knew Bo thought he was with her was wrong and asks what kind of woman sinks that low. Kate brushes off Hope’s comment and tells her that she came to the station to talk to Roman because he has information about her sons. Hope is surprised to learn that Roman is already back at work. Kate tells Hope that Roman and John are working around the clock to try to get information on the Salem Squad and she hopes that it is good news. Kate heads into the main office and Hope follows her.

Bunker:

Philip is shocked to learn that Lucas accompanied Rex, Brady, and Shawn. Brady explains that Lucas was covering them from a distance and shot Stami when he double-crossed them. Philip is worried that Lucas was hurt and Shawn admits that some rounds were fired but he thinks Lucas is fine and was watching where they were being taken. Rex points out that Lucas is their only hope of getting out of here.

Tony paces the room smoking a cigar. Tony tells Sami that he has plans for her and Stan as well as the fourth musketeer. Sami picks up on Tony’s reference to a fourth musketeer. Tony explains that Rex, Brady, and Shawn brought along a colleague and looks at his watch before confirming that the fourth guy should be coming along at any minute. Sami is anxious to know who it is. Tony checks his PDA before directing Sami to look through the window in the door. The guard brings Lucas by the door and Sami sees him through the window. Sami flattens herself against the wall to try to avoid being seen again by Lucas and complains to Tony that Lucas has seen her without her disguise so now he knows that she’s the one who set them up. Tony nonchalantly tells a worried Sami that it will be awkward for her when all of Salem knows what she did.

Court:

Mimi assures Bonnie that she is fine but Bonnie doesn’t believe her. The bailiff leads Mimi to the defendant’s desk. Mickey asks the bailiff to remove Mimi’s handcuffs and the bailiff obliges. Belle asks Mimi how she’s doing and Mimi complains about the smell of the holding cell and the booking process. Belle hopes that that has changed Mimi’s mind about pleading guilty but Mimi still wants to plead guilty. Bonnie tries to change Mimi’s mind but Mimi interrupts to point out that if she pleads guilty, there’s no trial, and then Rex won’t ever find out that Jan was blackmailing her because she aborted his baby. Bonnie begs Mickey to talk Mimi out of it. Mickey tries to use Mimi’s love for Rex to allow him to prove her innocence. The bailiff calls court to order as Judge Karen Fitzpatrick takes the bench.

Bunker:

Sami is still worried that Lucas has seen her and now blown her cover. Tony laughs. Sami becomes angry that Tony thinks this is funny. Tony explains to Sami that Lucas didn’t really see her because it’s a one-way mirror. Sami breathes a sigh of relief as Tony explains that they can see the Salem Squad but the Salem Squad can’t see them.

Brady, Rex, Shawn, and Philip are shocked to see Lucas thrown into the room with them. Lucas insists that he is fine and is glad to see Philip. Philip jokes about how Lucas must have had trouble finding the place and Philip and Lucas hug. Everyone notices Lucas look quizzically into the mirror near the door. Lucas explains that he keeps hearing voices on the other side and Brady notes that it must be a two-way mirror. Philip is sure that the place is bugged too. Rex and Brady are positive that rebels aren’t holding them and Brady is confident that Stan is working for the enemy. Lucas is confident that he hit Stami. Brady suggests that they are being held for ransom and that’s why they weren’t already killed but Philip questions that theory when he learns that there were no ransom demands for him. Shawn suggests using their manpower to break the mirror and take out whomever is on the other side.

Sami is upset that Tony didn’t tell her that Lucas was part of the Salem Squad. Tony didn’t think Sami would care. Sami insists that she does care and loves Lucas, not wanting to see him get hurt. Tony says if that is true, than Sami is a fool.

Penthouse:

John moves his laptop to the desk so Billie and Marlena can have the living room. Marlena offers Billie a cup of tea and begins to pour it. Billie tells Marlena about Abby’s car accident and John perks up at the news just as Marlena gasps and nearly drops the teacup. Billie assures them that Abby is going to be okay but she was with Chelsea and while Chelsea is going to be okay, Chelsea lost both her parents. Billie asks Marlena to use her grief counseling experience to talk to Chelsea. Marlena agrees to but then asks Billie how she got involved. Billie explains that she just happened to be the first on the scene and had promised Mrs. Benson that she’d take care of Chelsea. Billie laments that now Chelsea is alone. Marlena says that Chelsea now has Billie.

Police station:

Bo is getting frustrated that there is still no further word. Roman tries to help by reminding Bo that if the Marines have the boys, then they know they are safe. Bo still wants to be able to tell Hope when Shawn is coming home because she blames him for Shawn being there in the first place. Roman doesn’t understand why Hope blames Bo and Bo chalks it up to a long story. Roman recalls that Bo told him about having to spend a lot of time with Billie looking for Georgia. Hope bursts into the office, followed closely by Kate. Hope is glad to see Roman and they hug. Roman asks if Kate filled her in and Hope explains that Jack and Jennifer filled her in and begs to hear that Tony is really dead. Roman insists that there’s no way that Tony could have survived. Hope offers her sympathies for Roman’s experience and adds that while she hasn’t seen Marlena yet, John must be on cloud nine and Roman confirms that he is. Roman starts to bring up Victor and Caroline but Hope has already heard. Bo interrupts; surprised that Hope already knew about Victor and Caroline and didn’t tell him. Hope explains that when she found out, Bo was off with Billie and offers her condolences to Bo. Bo says he understands and tells Hope and Kate about the Marines having the Salem Squad in custody. Hope is so happy that she hugs Bo. Kate asks about Philip but Bo tells her that there isn’t any news. Roman offers Kate and Hope the chance to read the reports on the computer.

Roman and Bo head out into the main office where Roman questions Bo about Hope’s earlier mention of him having gone off with Billie and nearly being gassed to death. Roman mentions how Kate didn’t tell him about that and now understands why Hope is so upset. Bo confides in Roman that Hope found him having sex with Billie.

Court:

Belle and Bonnie sit in the audience as the prosecuting attorney recalls that Jan referred to the attack as vicious, deliberate, and unprovoked and claims that Jan’s injuries support that claim. Judge Fitzpatrick confirms with Tek that Jan was fully cognizant when she gave her statement and that it has been confirmed that the fake fingernail found at the scene did belong to Mimi. Mickey stands up to say that he intends to prove that even though Jan and Mimi argued, Jan’s injuries were the result of an accidental fall. The judge promises that Mickey will have ample opportunity at a later date to make his case but for now there is enough evidence to make Mimi’s case go to trial. Mimi stands up to declare that she doesn’t want a trial and is pleading guilty. Mimi declares that she hated Jan Spears and tried to kill her. Mickey, Bonnie, and Belle are shocked by Mimi’s outburst and try to get her to take it back. Judge Fitzpatrick calls for order in the court as everyone is yelling back and forth.

Penthouse:

John looks through classified documents and works on his computer as Marlena and Billie talk. Marlena cautions Billie not to become overly involved with Chelsea because of how much she desperately wants to find Georgia. Billie insists to Marlena that she doesn’t see Chelsea as a replacement for Georgia. Marlena warns that Billie could be setting herself up for disappointment if Chelsea doesn’t want her involved in her life or even want Billie’s help at all. John suddenly becomes angry at something he’s uncovered on the computer and his outburst attracts the attention of Marlena and Billie. John explains that he just got some new Intel on the Salem Squad. Billie asks for more but John apologetically tells Billie that it isn’t good news.

Police station:

Hope and Kate continue to read the reports on the computer in the commander’s office. Bo and Roman watch them through the window for a moment before turning away to resume their own conversation out in the main office. Bo tells Roman about falling into the pit, being exposed to the gas, and hallucinating enough to believe that Billie was Hope. Roman feels that the situation is classic DiMera. Bo tells Roman about Hope showing up to catch them in the act and that she came with Patrick. Roman suggests that it’s okay because Bo and Billie were under the influence of the gas. Bo explains that the gas affected him more because he took more in while he was trying to plug the hole and then he fell and cracked his head. Roman correctly guesses that Billie knew what she was doing when she made love to Bo and that Hope knows that Billie knew. Roman decides to confess to Bo that he and Marlena made love at the castle but they don’t plan on telling Kate and John. Roman feels confident that he’s convinced Marlena not to say anything but Bo notes that it isn’t like Marlena not to tell the truth and questions whether Marlena really will keep their secret. Roman hopes that Marlena will keep their secret because if she tells, it could be the end of both their marriages.

Bunker:

Shawn and Lucas pick up a cot, intent on tossing it through the mirror to break the glass and confront those on the other side but Brady stands in front to stop them. Lucas decides that Brady’s right and tells Shawn to put down the cot. Shawn doesn’t want to just sit around and wait. Philip calls Shawn on his tendency to act before he thinks. Shawn retorts that some people never act and wind up dead. Philip suggests that Shawn just use his motorcycle to crash it through the mirror and set the bunker on fire. Brady puts a stop to their argument as Rex reminds Philip that it was Shawn’s idea to come here and rescue him. Brady adds that Shawn would have come alone had they not agreed to tag along. Shawn confirms that that is true but Philip guesses Shawn’s true motivation. Shawn flashes back to Belle admission of still loving him and looks down at the ground to avoid Philip’s glare.

Sami insists to Tony that she is not a fool for loving Lucas. Sami flashes back to hearing Lucas profess his love to her last Christmas. Sami recalls that she and Lucas were going to be married. Tony eggs Sami on by claiming that if Lucas truly loved her he wouldn’t have turned his back on her. Tony brings up how Lucas didn’t believe Sami when she tried to explain that Kate drugged her and Brandon to make it look like they had slept together. Tony tells Sami that if he were she, he wouldn’t forgive Lucas for not believing the truth and would want to make him and the rest of the Salem Squad pay dearly.

Court:

Judge Fitzpatrick demands order in the court by banging her gavel. Mickey asks for a moment with Mimi. The judge allows for a brief moment. Mickey asks Mimi why she is insisting that she did try to kill Jan. Mimi refuses to put Rex through that kind of pain, believing this to be the only way to keep him from that. Belle points out that Rex will be devastated to see the woman he loves in prison. Mimi feels that seeing her in prison would be the lesser blow. Bonnie refuses to stand by and watch Mimi throw her life away. The judge banging her gavel to resume the proceedings interrupts their conversation. Judge Fitzpatrick has Mimi rise, declares her charge as attempted murder, a class “a” felony punishable by imprisonment, and asks how she pleads. Mickey says not guilty but Mimi pleads guilty. Bonnie yells at Mimi to be quiet. The judge is getting annoyed that the plea matter wasn’t settled. Mimi insists that it has been and she is pleading guilty. Mickey tells Mimi that as her lawyer, he can’t allow that. Mimi decides that she must then fire Mickey as her lawyer. Belle and Bonnie are shocked.

Police station:

Bo suggests that Roman and Marlena level with John and Kate because they’ll be more likely to understand than if they found out from someone else. Roman insists that they are keeping it a secret because they don’t want to hurt John and Kate. Bo feels that John and Kate would be hurt more if they find that they weren’t trusted with the truth. Roman appreciates Bo’s advice but feels that he knows what he’s doing. Bo asks Roman if he and Marlena fell in love again at that castle and that is what Roman is afraid will come out.

Kate is relieved that the Salem Squad is safe. Kate resumes the argument between her and Hope by commenting that while it was bad enough that Philip’s life was in danger but then to learn that Rex and Lucas put their lives on the line for Shawn’s selfish behavior. Hope is offended. Kate insists that the only reason Shawn went over there is so he could bring Philip back home solely to have Belle break his heart. Hope insists that while what the Salem Squad did was foolish, she also feels that it was brave and noble. Kate questions whether it’s noble for Shawn to come between Philip, her son, and his wife, Belle. Hope calls Kate a hypocrite because while Bo is her husband, Kate is encouraging Billie to go after him.

Police station and Penthouse:

The phone rings in the main office and Roman answers it. It is John who tells Roman that he’s got some new Intel from the ISA and to round everybody up and get to the penthouse. Roman agrees and after hanging up, tells Bo to join him in getting Hope and Kate.

Penthouse:

Hope, Bo, Roman, and Kate arrive at the penthouse. Hope greets Marlena with a hug. Hope is angry to see Billie there but Marlena explains that Billie was already here on personal business. Kate asks John about the news and John declares that he just got word from Shane that the Salem Squad escaped Marine custody. Bo and Hope want to know what happened but John has no other details. Roman asks if there is any idea where they went and John explains that he is getting a delayed satellite feed because the ISA is trying to enhance the video. John shows them the feed as everyone crowds around his computer. Kate complains that it’s only a bunch of colors and shapes (not shown) and John explains that it’s a thermo-numeric graphic. John points out that judging by the size and shape of the figures, that the three in the main part of the picture are Brady, Rex, and Shawn. Kate asks about Lucas and John points out that Lucas is up in the distance providing cover. Roman spots Stami and wonders who that is but John hasn’t been able to identify him yet. John types on his keyboard until he gets another thermal image and ascertains from the second image that the Salem Squad was surrounded. Kate wonders who was surrounding them and John guesses that it was rebel forces. Hope worries that that means that the boys are being recaptured and Roman guesses the same. John notes that whoever the fourth person is has led them into a trap.

Bunker:

Philip extends his hand to Shawn in an attempt to apologize for doubting his motives, now convinced that Shawn truly came out of concern for Philip. Shawn shakes his hand and neglects to correct Philip. Shawn downplays the praise by pointing out that all of the Salem Squad was worried about him. Philip would rather continue to gush about Shawn, glad that when push came to shove, Shawn remained a good friend to him. Brady, Rex, and Lucas glare at Shawn behind Philip’s back. Philip assumes that this means that Shawn has accepted Philip’s marriage to Belle. Shawn declares to Philip that there is something he needs to know.

Tony continues to taunt Sami by claiming that Lucas will keep Will away from her but Sami won’t believe it. Tony continues by bringing up how Lucas could find someone else and Will would have a new step mom who wouldn’t let Sami near him. Sami answers that it would be Kate’s fault. Tony tries to convince Sami that harming Lucas along with the other guys is the best way to get revenge on her enemies. Sami turns down the deal.

Court:

Judge Fitzpatrick threatens that the next person to disrupt her courtroom will be removed. Bonnie starts to beg the judge to prevent Mimi from pleading guilty. The judge threatens that her warning includes Bonnie and Mickey urges Bonnie to sit down and be quiet. Belle urges Mimi not to make a mistake but Mimi believes that she already made a mistake and must now pay for it. The judge asks Mimi for an explanation for firing Mickey and Mimi says it is because they don’t agree on her plea. The judge offers to appoint an attorney and reschedule but Mimi insists she is waiving her right to a trial. Judge Fitzpatrick accepts Mimi’s plea and remands her over for sentencing. Mickey asks the judge for a reasonable bail. The prosecuting attorney asks that bail be denied.

Penthouse:

Everyone continues to stand around John’s computer and watch. Kate wants to know what is happening now and John cautions that what they are seeing happened a couple hours ago. Kate spots that Lucas is firing and John explains that Lucas took out the guy he couldn’t identify. Marlena gasps. Roman asks if John can tell who it is and John zooms in on the footage to get a better look. This time, John’s computer screen is shown as the zoom gets close enough to see Stan’s face through the thermo-numeric images. John realizes that he knows Stan and flashes back to when Stan offered him drugs. Marlena calls John’s attention back to ask whom the guy is. John claims it’s a criminal that he thought was still in Salem. Bo wants to know why he’s over there and while John doesn’t know, he warns that if Stan led the Salem Squad into a trap, this thing just took on a whole new dimension. Roman thinks that Lucas killed Stan. John is determined to find out who Stan is and whom he is working for whether he’s dead or alive. Bo rolls his eyes as he watches Kate instinctively step toward John in an attempt to be close to him but then catch herself and return to Roman’s side. Kate tells Roman that Shawn is responsible for the entire fiasco and while Hope defends Shawn to Kate, she turns on Bo and blames him for not being there for Shawn. Billie defends Bo by accusing Hope of lashing out because of Hope’s anger at her and Bo. Hope insists that she has every right to be angry and starts to warn Billie if something happens to Shawn but Kate interrupts to stand up for Billie. Marlena tries to get Kate to stop but Kate persists by claiming that she thinks Bo knowingly made love to Billie. Billie is embarrassed and begs Kate to stop. Bo insists he was hallucinating but Kate thinks he’s only making excuses. Billie tries to get Kate to stop talking about this subject and Hope suggests that Kate mind her own business. Kate claims that Billie, as her daughter, is her business. Marlena urges Kate to stop. John asks that they postpone the current argument. Roman throws his hands up and demands that everyone shut the hell up.

Court:

Belle asks to speak to the court on Mimi’s behalf during which she uses her family’s reputation to vouch that Mimi won’t run while out on bail. Mimi declares, growing frustrated, that she doesn’t want bail and wants to go to jail. Tek quietly confides in the prosecutor that something isn’t right with Mimi’s case and her desire to go to jail. The prosecutor tells Tek to keep investigating the case quietly. Judge Fitzpatrick decides that since Mimi has entered a guilty plea and is aware of the consequences of her decision, bail is set a $1 million and Mimi is ordered to surrender her passport immediately. Bonnie, in her anger, blurts out that to get $1 million she’d have to rob a bank. Tek and the prosecuting attorney glare at her and Bonnie quickly claims she was only kidding. The judge orders Mimi to remain in the county jail pending sentencing if bail isn’t met and adjourns court. The bailiff calls for everyone to rise as Judge Fitzpatrick leaves the court. The bailiff handcuffs Mimi. Bonnie tries one last time to convince Mimi to change her mind but Mimi insists that she has to do this. Mimi tearfully asks Belle to tell Rex that she loves him but that it’s best that he never tries to see her again. The bailiff leads Mimi from the courtroom. Bonnie turns to Belle as she begins to sob and Belle hugs her as she watches Mimi walk away.

Penthouse:

Roman yells at everyone to act like adults and not snipe at each other. Roman wants everyone to focus on finding the Salem Squad and bringing them home safely. John declares that that objective just got a lot more difficult.

Bunker:

Tony tells Sami that she doesn’t have the luxury of backing out but Sami claims she can do anything she wants. Tony laughs as he recalls Sami’s list of recent crimes against the people of Salem and threatens her with the disappointment of her parents as well as a town who hates her should he start dropping hints around Salem. Sami realizes that she’s sold her soul to the devil and Tony suggests that Sami leave the fate of the Salem Squad in his hands and no one will be the wiser. Sami agrees only if Tony swears that he won’t hurt them. Tony says he understands and walks away as Sami fights back the tears.

Philip asks Shawn what he wanted to tell him. Shawn starts to talk but Rex interrupts to claim that Shawn only wanted to say that Belle was moved by what Philip said in his video. Philip believes Rex and notes how hard it must be for Belle upon finding out of his capture. Brady confirms that Belle was devastated. Philip continues to gush about how great it was of Shawn to come looking for him especially since Shawn used to be in love with Belle himself. Shawn begs Philip not to make a big deal out of it. Philip persists, thinking Shawn is only being modest. Shawn admits that he was doing it for Belle but adds that he is upset that it didn’t work out. Brady brings up how Stan ruined their perfect plan and Lucas looks into the one-way mirror as he swears that there’s a missing piece to the puzzle.

Now alone in the corridor, Sami decides that she must make sure that Lucas is okay. Sami slides open the tiny cutout in the door and looks in on the guys. Lucas turns around and recognizes her. Sami’s eyes go wide.
