Hospital:

Mimi is sitting in the waiting room. She sees a uniformed policeman approach her and declare that she needs to stand up because he is placing her under arrest. Mimi can’t believe this is happening and as she looks up into the face of the officer, the face morphs into Mickey’s face and Mimi realizes that she was dreaming. Mickey is the one truly standing over her and asks if she is all right. Mimi asks if she is going to jail and Mickey vows not to let that happen. Mimi doesn’t believe him because Jan has already lied to Tek about Mimi trying to kill her and now with Jan in a coma, there’s no way to cross-examine her.

Jennifer, Jack, and Abby are preparing to go home. A wheelchair sits in between Jack and Jennifer and Abby and Abby refuses to follow hospital procedure and sit in the wheelchair while leaving the hospital. Jennifer and Jack insist that it’s procedure and Abby starts to worry that there’s a reason she’s not being told for why she can’t just walk out of the hospital. Jack and Jennifer assure Abby that she is fine and it’s only policy. Jennifer remarks that Abby being fine is a miracle but Abby brings up that Chelsea didn’t also get a miracle. Abby doesn’t want to leave Chelsea in the hospital, especially since no one has told her about the death of her parents yet. Abby insists on seeing Chelsea before she leaves.

Police station:

Bo is working at the computer in his office. He is searching the Internet for a military web site that will help him find Shawn. Billie walks up to the doorway and flashes back to making love to Bo in the pit. Billie announces her presence by telling Bo that she needs to talk to him. Bo asks if Billie wants to talk about how she tried to ruin his marriage.

Hope’s house:

Hope is looking at a picture of her and Bo’s wedding day when the doorbell rings. Hope opens the door to an obviously agitated Belle. Hope asks what is wrong and Belle tells Hope about Shawn calling. Hope asks if Shawn is home now but Belle explains that Shawn is still in the war zone and had a possible lead on Philip. Belle begins to cry as she tells Hope about how it seemed that Shawn was calling to say goodbye and Hope, now tearing up as well, hugs Belle.

Base camp:

Two camouflaged American marines approach Brady, Shawn, Rex, and Stami with guns drawn. The rescuers back up against the rock with their hands up. The marines order them to drop their weapons, which they do. Rex notices that the marines are American and declares that they are Americans too. One of the marines asks for ID and everyone hands over passports and IDs. The marine demands to know what a bunch of civilians are doing in a war zone with combat gear. Stami lets the marine know that he is a journalist. The marine asks if there is any other civilian out there.

Lucas watches the situation through his binoculars.

Brady insists to the marine that they are the only ones out here. The marine puts down his gun and refers to the rescuers as the Salem Squad who has come to rescue their friend. Brady wonders how the marine knew about their plan. The marine explains that ISA operatives tipped him off about their plan. Shawn begs the marine to let them go through with the plan. The marine insists that he is sending them back home to their mothers and if they really wanted to fight a war, they should have enlisted. The marine orders them to follow him. Sami worries that her cover will be blown and begins to regret choosing to work for Tony. Brady stops the Captain to declare that he should know the truth about Stami.

Bunker:

Tony stands by casually sipping coffee as Bart frantically sorts through papers, begging Tony to help him destroy their paper trail. Bart is convinced that Stami will start talking and incriminate them. Tony tells Bart to remain calm because the world thinks they are both dead and no one will believe anything Stami says. Tony is confident that he can still use Stami to accomplish his goals.

Police station:

Bo defends his actions in the pit by reiterating that he hit his head and the poison gas made him hallucinate and think that Billie was Hope. Bo accuses Billie of taking advantage of the situation. Billie insists that she wasn’t trying to break up Bo and Hope’s marriage; her only thought was that they were going to die. Bo scoffs at Billie’s attempt to defend her behavior. Billie claims that she never made her feelings for him a secret and when she thought it was the end, she was scared and needed Bo. Billie reiterates that Bo being there touching her and kissing her only fed her need. Bo repeats that he was only doing that because he thought she was Hope. Billie proclaims that she wasn’t thinking about coming between Bo and Hope or that Hope and Patrick would walk in and see them, only that she didn’t want to die like she had lived her life, alone.

Hope’s house:

Hope has Belle sit down and asks her if Shawn mentioned anything about his location that could help the ISA find him. Belle fears that the Salem Squad is headed into more danger by the way Shawn spoke and blames herself. Hope tries to convince Belle that it isn’t her fault. Belle blames herself for being the reason Shawn conceived this rescue mission and not being able to stop him in time but Hope points out that Shawn lied to them all. Belle brings up how Shawn dragged Rex and Lucas into his plan and how Kate blames her for that too. Hope encourages Belle not to think about that right now, rather focusing on praying to God to bring them all home safely.

Base camp:

Brady tells the captain that Stami was held prisoner with Philip and could lead them right to him. The captain warns Stami that they’ll have a lot of questions for him and tells everyone to follow him. Sami mentally thanks Brady in a sarcastic tone and tries to think of a fast way out of here.

Lucas ducks down as another bomb goes off near him. Lucas worries that this could blow the mission and wonders how they can get out of this mess.

Shawn, Brady, and Rex beg the captain to let them complete the mission but the captain refuses. The captain tells the other marine, Smith, to contact the ISA to come get the Salem Squad. Smith acknowledges the order and leaves. Brady tells the captain that his dad, John Black, is who sent out the alert. The captain quips that John is a smart man but it looks like it doesn’t run in the family. Rex points out to the captain that they already rescued the two contractors and with Stami’s help, could rescue Philip too. Shawn is worried that if they’re held there too long, Philip might be moved before they can get to him. The captain asks Stami if he has an exact location or can identify who was holding him but Stami claims he can do neither.

Bunker:

Tony is listening via headphones to Stami’s conversation with Captain Owens. Tony sees this as a test of Stami’s character. Bart begins to worry that Stami won’t be able to hold up to Captain Owen’s questioning pitting the DiMera organization against the US military. Tony doesn’t understand why Bart is being so dramatic. Bart is worried that Stami will blab and send the marines knocking down their door for some serious shock and awe. Tony decides that Bart is right and wonders how to make sure that Stami doesn’t expose them. Bart suggests, “dead Sami’s tell no tales.” Tony calls in his two enemy soldier henchmen, William and Charles. Bart begins to worry that Tony really is going to take his advice and kill Stami. Tony tells William and Charles to go undercover and infiltrate the US Marine Corps. Tony hands them marine armbands.

Hospital:

Mickey encourages Mimi to stay positive because she is innocent. Mimi is convinced that once Jan’s tape is played and Tek testifies that she fled the scene, lied, and her fake fingernail was found at the scene, she is going to look guilty. Mickey reminds Mimi that she is innocent and that she has to hang in there, promising that they’ll get through this. Mickey leaves. Mimi worries that even if Mickey gets her off, Rex will find out what she did to their baby and he’ll leave her, resulting in a lose-lose situation.

Abby walks in to Chelsea’s hospital room and greets her with the news that she is going home. Chelsea is glad to hear that Abby is going home. Abby assures Chelsea that she’ll get to go home soon too. Chelsea asks Abby why her parents haven’t been in to see her.

Jennifer and Jack watch Abby and Chelsea through Chelsea’s room’s window. Jennifer shares her sympathies about Chelsea to Jack about how Chelsea didn’t deserve this. Jennifer is also grateful that Abby’s injuries weren’t serious and that Jack has come back to their family again. Jennifer and Jack hug. Abby comes out of Chelsea’s room and Jennifer asks how Chelsea is. Abby begins to cry as she tells them that Chelsea asked her about her parents, still not knowing that they died. Jennifer promises that they’ll find a way to break it to Chelsea. Abby wants to know what is going to happen to Chelsea now that she has no family. Jack promises to do some investigating to find out about Chelsea’s family and her parents.

Police station:

Bo watches Billie rearrange the way her broken arm sits in the sling and asks if that happened when she fell into the pit. Billie explains that she fell on the way into the hospital. Bo asks why she was at the hospital and Billie tells him about Chelsea needing a blood transfusion and being matched up with her in the computer. Billie vows to keep her promise to Mrs. Benson feeling that since she may never have a daughter, at least she can help someone else’s. Bo wants to know what Billie means by that and Billie proclaims that since every clue they get ends up almost killing them or almost breaking up Bo and Hope, she’s decided to let it all go. Bo refuses to let Billie give up on Georgia.

Hope’s house:

Hope tells Belle about Bo going to the police station to try and find out more information. Belle wants to go check on Mimi and Hope promises to call her immediately if Bo finds anything. Belle assures Hope that Bo loves her as well as his family and leaves. Hope worries that love isn’t enough this time for if something should happen to Shawn because Bo chose to be with Billie, Hope can’t imagine what kind of life they could possibly have together.

Police station:

Bo truly believes that Georgia is out there and they should keep searching. Bo insists that Georgia will need them both when she is found and Billie promises not to stop searching as long as Bo won’t stop. Bo vows that they’ll not stop until they find Georgia and Billie thanks him as she wraps her arm around his waist. Bo wraps his arm around Billie’s shoulders just as Hope walks into the office and sees them.

Hospital:

Abby continues to feel bad for Chelsea having lost both her parents, having no chance for them to come back like she had. Jennifer tries to console Abby. Jack returns and declares that he has found someone who is a veritable font of information about Chelsea’s parents. Abby wants to know whom and Jack motions toward Mickey who walks into the room.

Mimi paces the waiting room when Belle greets her. Mimi tells Belle that Jan is still in a coma but she can’t leave until she knows what is going on with Jan. Mimi tells Belle that Mickey is more confident about her case than she is and Belle insists that if Mickey says he can win, he’ll win. Mimi can’t focus on the trial because she is still worried about Rex and Shawn in the war zone. Belle can’t stop thinking about the phone call. Mimi fears that since the captors holding Philip are evil, even if the Salem Squad only gets captured, they’ll never see them again. Belle gulps.

Bunker:

Tony calls goodbye and good luck after William and Charles as they leave to start their assignment. Bart is worried that this plan won’t work. Tony is confident that it will since he holds the “trump card” in Philip but Bart points out that Sami is the “joker” of the deck. Bart is worried that Stami will be found out and Tony suggests that he might be because Sami has never been tested like this. Bart wants to know what would happen if Stami fails and Tony declares that then Sami only has herself to blame.

Base camp:

Stami tells Owens that he can’t help because he was blindfolded the entire time. Owens doesn’t understand how he could be helping the Salem Squad with their mission then. Brady explains that Stami was in the process of taking them to the next town where they would question people for information. Owens declares that saving Philip is their job and Shawn and Brady beg him to let them help. Owens insists on following regulations. Stami begins to worry that they’ll see through the disguise. Charles and William walk up in full marine attire and tell Owens that headquarters sent them to assist. Owens tells them to take Stami to the tent for further questioning. Through the intercom, Tony tells Sami that if she does as Charles and William say, she’ll soon be a free woman. Sami is shocked to realize that the new marines are working for Tony. The marines grab Stami and pull him away. Owens tells Smith to set up the tent for debriefing and Smith leaves. Shawn leans in close to Brady before sharing his fears that their mission is ruined. Brady, in a whisper, is thankful that they still have Lucas out there, hoping that he hasn’t been caught too.

Lucas continues to watch them through the binoculars. Lucas realizes that he must find a way to get the Salem Squad away from the marines but wonders how.

Shawn asks Owens what he plans to do with them and Owens says that he is going to hold them until ISA can airlift them home. Shawn begs Owens again not to send them home. Smith rushes up to Owens to alert him that Stami is not in his tent. Owens orders Smith to find Stami and Smith rushes off. Brady, Rex, and Shawn exchange worried and shocked glances.

Hospital:

Belle would rather think positively about the rescue mission. Mimi fears that they’ll all die over there.

Mickey explains to Jack, Jennifer, and Abby that he was hired to be the Benson’s attorney and executor of their estate. Mickey confirms that there are no other relatives and there is no money left for Chelsea because the family was bankrupt. Jack and Jennifer comfort Abby.

Police station:

Hope makes her presence known by apologizing for interrupting and explaining that she came to see if there was more information about Shawn. Bo wants to explain what Hope walked in on but Hope interrupts to assume that when Bo told her that he couldn’t help her look for Georgia anymore, Billie broke down and Bo just had to console her. Hope quips to Billie that the cast was a nice touch. Bo explains that Billie was the one who wanted to give up the search for Georgia and he insisted that she couldn’t do that just like they won’t give up looking for Shawn. Hope asks about Shawn and Bo admits that the ISA keeps running into brick walls. Billie tries to empathize with Hope since Philip, Rex, and Lucas are her brothers and offers her services as an ISA agent but Hope declines. Billie promises to pray for all of the squad and leaves. Bo apologizes to Hope for having to see him and Billie like that. Hope sarcastically says that she should be used to it by now because it’s obvious that Bo cares more about Billie than he cares for her and Shawn.

Hospital:

Abby wants to know how Chelsea will be able to live. Mickey promises to have the Horton foundation cover Chelsea’s medical bills and the funerals, offering to make the first donation himself. Jack promises to contribute as well. Mickey adds that Chelsea will also need her friends and Abby promises to be there for Chelsea. Mickey tells Abby that he is glad that she is all right, adding that while his Horton family built this hospital, he hates seeing his family have to use it. Jennifer thanks Mickey for everything and Mickey leaves. Jack pulls Jennifer and Abby close and tells them that he is glad to have his two best girls with him for there is nothing like family.

Billie walks up, sees Jack with his arms around Jennifer and Abby, and imagines what it would be like to have her, Bo, and Georgia in those places. Billie tearfully greets Jack and they hug. Jack puts his arm around Jennifer and Abby again as he proclaims that the DiMeras don’t always win. Billie decides that Jack is right and miracles can happen.

Belle refuses to let Mimi talk so negatively, rather wanting to believe that everyone will come home safely. Mimi doesn’t believe that something that good is going to happen with the way her life is going.

Base camp:

Owens tells Smith not to let Brady, Rex, and Shawn out of his sight and leaves. Rex asks Shawn and Brady if they have any as to where Stami went and Shawn is convinced that Stami is only trying to save himself. Brady reminds them that they still have the map and Rex notes that Stami never told the marines about the map. Shawn is determined to get out of here and asks Brady and Rex for suggestions. Owens returns and tells Smith to keep Brady, Rex, and Shawn in protective custody until they are airlifted out. They start to object but Owens cuts them off, telling Smith to put them in a tent and not let them get away. Smith orders Brady, Rex, and Shawn to go with him. The three start to walk away with Smith following closely behind.

Lucas equips his gun and decides that even though it’s a big risk, he’s got to take it and dives out of his foxhole.

Bunker:

William and Charles bring Stami back to Tony and Bart. Stami starts to curse out Tony but Tony interrupts to tell Bart to give William and Charles a drink and the three head out of the room. Stami is confident that Tony only saved him to save himself from being found out. Tony points out that no one knows he is alive whereas they know Stami is and now that his cover is blown, he’s out of business. Tony explains that since the Salem Squad will never escape marine custody, their deal is off and Sami will never get to see her parents or get revenge on her enemies.

Police station:

Bo insists that finding Shawn is his number one priority. Hope points out that it was supposed to be Bo’s number one priority before Shawn took off after Philip. Hope swears that she’ll blame Bo if anything happens to Shawn because he was too preoccupied with Billie.

Hospital:

Jack thanks Billie for his help to Abby after the accident. Jack notes how glad Kate must be to have Roman back. Billie adds that Kate told her not to say anything to Bo about Caroline and Victor because Roman wanted to be the one to tell. Jack, Jennifer, and Abby look solemn as Jack notes how hard it’ll be for Bo to learn that both of his parents are gone. Billie questions the looks and Jennifer explains that they were about to tell Chelsea about her parents. Jack and Jennifer fill Billie in on how the Bensons were broke and had no relatives. Billie insists on being the one to tell Chelsea about her parents.

Chelsea’s hospital room:

Billie wakes Chelsea and identifies herself. Chelsea demands to know why no one will tell her about her parents.

Hospital:

Mimi apologizes to Belle for not being more positive. Mimi bases her fears on her recent bad luck and is convinced that something really bad is going to happen. Mimi walks away.

Tent:

Rex, Brady, and Shawn enter the tent and deposit their guns on a stack of crates. Smith orders them to hold out their hands and uses ties to bind them. Brady, Rex, and Shawn complain but Smith warns that the guard outside the tent has orders to keep them inside the tent, using force if necessary. Smith and his fellow marine leave. Shawn tries to look around for a way out but Brady points out that the only way out is through the front flap where the guard is posted. Feeling defeated, Shawn sits down against the edge of the tent. A knife comes through the other side of the tent, inches from Shawn’s head.

Hospital:

Belle assures Mimi that the Salem Squad could still be okay. Mimi is convinced that she will lose Rex. Mimi decides that the only way to keep Rex from finding out her secret is to plead guilty and turn herself in.

Chelsea’s hospital room:

Billie tells Chelsea that her parents were too badly injured and offers her condolences. Chelsea begins to sob as she has a hard time believing that her parents are dead. Billie consoles Chelsea.

Police station:

Hope vows that she will never forgive Bo if something should happen to Shawn. Bo insists that Shawn will come home safe. Hope vows that if Shawn doesn’t, nothing will ever be the same between them again. Hope storms out of the office.

Tent:

The knife turns out to belong to Lucas who has now used it to cut a large hole in the side of the tent. Rex, Brady, and Shawn have grabbed their guns again and each climb out through the hole. Lucas uses his knife to cut them all out of their ties. Lucas asks about Stami but Brady would rather focus on the map. Rex fears that it could be a trap but Brady insists that they must chance it. They head away from the tent.

Bunker:

Stami claims that he no longer cares about revenge and would rather forget the whole thing. Tony cryptically tells Stami that it is a far better thing he does than he’s ever done before. Bart bursts in to tell Tony that the Salem Squad has escaped, that they have Stami’s map, and are about to rescue Philip. Tony delights in the thought that his plan is about to work.
