Kewpie tells Jan to make Belle feel guilty about Philip so she’ll push Shawn away. Jan decides that she must keep the pressure on Belle. Jan tells Kewpie that they must get back home because they have work to do. Jan takes one last look through the window and then leaves.

Philip turns to the guards and tells them that he doesn’t know anything. The first soldier nods to the other soldier and the second soldier uses the butt of his gun to knock out Philip.

Bonnie and Rex have been sitting in the room waiting for Mimi to wake up and they both rush to her side. Mimi asks Rex to tell her what happened. Rex explains that they just got through examining her and offers to get Mimi some water. Bonnie strokes Mimi’s head and tries to comfort her. Mimi asks Bonnie if she dreamed about Dr. Aubrey’s news or if it really happened. Bonnie confirms that it really happened and Mimi wants to know the news. Bonnie explains that Dr. Aubrey was about to tell them when Mimi passed out. Mimi begins to get concerned but Rex assures her that she was only having a reaction to the anesthesia. Rex urges Mimi to think positive. Dr. Aubrey enters the room and Mimi asks for the news. Dr. Aubrey tells Mimi that her fallopian tubes are inflamed as a result of her pelvic inflammatory disease.

Jennifer’s house:

Jennifer is sorting through the mail when Abby and Chelsea arrive home. Jennifer offers to feed Abby and Chelsea and Abby requests popcorn with caramel sauce. Jennifer heads into the kitchen to make it. Abby flashes back to when Chelsea helped her change the grade on her report card. Abby is worried that Jennifer will find out. Chelsea takes the doctored report card from Abby and slips it into the stack of mail, convinced that it will work. Jennifer comes back into the living room with the news that the popcorn is almost ready. Jennifer offers to bring the popcorn up to them and Abby and Chelsea head upstairs. Jennifer returns to the mail on the table. Abby and Chelsea stop as they run into Patrick as he comes back inside, sweating and out of breath. Chelsea asks Patrick about his workout, obviously very glad to see him. Abby drags Chelsea upstairs. A mystery man in a hooded jacket sneaks up behind Jack.

Patrick commends Abby also. Abby brushes off the praise and Jennifer urges Abby to take some credit. To quickly get out of the situation, Abby drags Chelsea to the kitchen to get the popcorn. Jennifer talks to Patrick about how great Abby has improved in school, specifically in geometry class. Patrick jokes about how at Abby’s age, the only numbers she cares about is the phone numbers of the football team. Jennifer finds another letter from Abby’s school in the mail and opens it. Jennifer reads the letter from Abby’s guidance counselor aloud, she is surprised to read that the guidance counselor was concerned about Abby’s GPA falling a whole point this term. Jennifer shows Patrick the letter. Patrick suggests it was a printing error and Jennifer realizes what Abby did by scratching off Abby’s report card. Jennifer calls Abby back into the living room. Abby comes in, followed closely by Chelsea. Jennifer demands an explanation for how Abby got all A’s and B’s on her report card.

Fishing boat:

Jack is on the other side of the wall, excitedly muttering to himself about getting to go home and not having to do any more laundry. The mystery man sneaks into Jack’s room but ducks into a corner when Jack comes out to the main part of the room. Jack has now changed into clean clothes and proudly tosses his dirty clothes onto the table for the next guy to wash. Jack talks to himself about how he plans to get back to Salem. Jack goes on to talk about how he plans to do an expose on Tony when he gets home. Jack uses a blade and the wash water to shave his face. Jack vows to the mystery man that he won’t stop or slow him down.

Chelsea quickly denies being involved and insists that she gets straight A’s. Patrick suggests that Chelsea help Abby with her geometry and Chelsea quickly negates that option by claiming that her parents hired a tutor to help her in geometry because geometry is her worst subject. Patrick questions how Chelsea is still able to get an A then and Chelsea jokes about how she works extra hard. Chelsea climbs up on a chair to get the teabags and pretends to feel faint just so Patrick will catch her.

Jennifer’s living room:

Abby angrily sits on the couch with arms folded, as Jennifer demands an honest explanation. Abby complains that she must be dumb because she is having trouble in school. Jennifer sits down on the couch with Abby and insists that she is not dumb but her actions to cover up the grades were dumb. Jennifer can’t believe that Abby thought that she’d never find out. Jennifer quotes the guidance counselor’s letter about how Abby isn’t applying herself. Abby gets defensive and claims that the guidance counselor doesn’t know about her work habits because he’s too busy planning the spring fling and dating a teacher. Jennifer ends that reasoning and brings the focus back on Abby’s grades by pointing out that good grades lead to college. Abby acts like she doesn’t care about going to college. Jennifer starts rattling on about how she would never have met Jack if she hadn’t gone to college. Jennifer suggests getting Abby a tutor but Abby interrupts to yell at Jennifer for butting into her life. Shawn begins to rethink sending the email. There is a knock at the door and it is Jan. Shawn repeats that it is over and that Jan shouldn’t be here but Jan lets herself into the loft anyway. Jan explains that she’s here to remind Shawn of what he’d be missing but Shawn doesn’t want to hear it. Jan then complains to Shawn about sleeping with her and then dumping her like yesterday’s trash. Shawn asks Jan to tell him the truth about how she got him to be with her. Jan retorts that she’d show him but his married lover might come in and catch them. Shawn asks Jan to explain about his flashes of being in a cage in handcuffs. Jan wraps a beaded rope around Shawn’s neck as she seductively offers to do anything he suggests. Shawn pulls off the rope and starts to threaten Jan but Jan turns the tables by calling Shawn on his recent faults with Belle. Shawn returns to the computer and reads the screen while Jan looks over his shoulder.

Belle’s bathroom:

Belle’s hand shakes as she looks at the blood. Belle asks Philip what “they” have done to him but Philip wipes some of the blood off his chest and while holding his hand up to Belle, exclaims that Belle is the one who hurt him. Philip declares that he might as well be dead and collapses to the bathroom floor, dead. Belle sobs and screams.

Shawn hears Belle’s screams and runs up to her. Jan rolls her eyes and groans that Belle needs to be rescued again. Jan turns to the computer and reads Shawn’s fake email. Dr. Aubrey explains that it’s policy to only consult with the patient and the next of kin. Rex points out that he’s Mimi’s fiancé but Dr. Aubrey won’t allow it since Rex isn’t Mimi’s husband yet. Rex agrees to wait outside. Mimi begins to cry as she blames herself. Dr. Aubrey and Bonnie try to convince Mimi that this isn’t her fault. Dr. Aubrey confirms that the bacteria found its way into Mimi’s reproductive system when she terminated her pregnancy.

Jack pulls out the container that he’s been stashing his money in and offers it to the man for a passport. Jack is worried that it won’t be enough but the man is desperate and agrees to give Jack the passport if he pays him every last cent he has saved up. Jack realizes that the passport is for a 16-year-old girl and calls the man on it just as the man bolts. Jack takes off after him.

Belle’s bathroom:

Belle has now wrapped herself in the towel as she looks around the floor. Shawn enters the bathroom and asks what is wrong. Belle explains about seeing Philip and Shawn comforts her. Jan eavesdrops from outside the bathroom and thinks that Marlena must have never told Belle that guilt can kill her. Belle tells Shawn about the vision but Shawn tries to convince Belle that it was only a dream and Philip can’t possibly know about them. Shawn reminds Belle that they haven’t yet cheated on Philip. Belle is still upset as she describes how Philip was bleeding. Shawn tries to convince Belle that Philip is too well trained to let himself get hurt. Belle is worried that Philip could be taken hostage but Shawn assures her that Philip will find a way out of it.

Battlefield:

Philip is able to get his hands free of the ropes. He looks over at the guards and wonders how he can activate the switch without the guards noticing. They struggle for the gun while Philip tries to activate his distress signal. Philip pulls out a long knife.

Bonnie asks for Mimi’s forgiveness but Mimi points out that she is the one who made the decision and can’t blame anyone else. Dr. Aubrey returns. Bonnie asks Dr. Aubrey how long Mimi would have to wait to start a family. Dr. Aubrey’s tone saddens and Mimi realizes that this means that Mimi won’t be able to have any more children. Mimi begins to hysterically sob and Rex rushes in to find out what is wrong. Mimi apologizes to Rex through her sobs.

Belle’s living room:

Jan is sitting at the computer, gloating about how Belle will flip out when she sees what Shawn did. Jan talks to Kewpie about how tough it will be for Shawn to explain away the email. Jan hears Belle and Shawn coming downstairs, quickly grabs her things and rushes out the door, stopping to eavesdrop through the tiny opening left in the door. Shawn offers to make Belle some warm milk and Belle sits down at her computer. Belle looks at a picture of Philip. Belle looks at the computer screen and is shocked. Shawn notices what Belle is looking at and quickly rushes over to explain. Belle accuses Shawn of going behind her back and pretending to go along with her decision.

Battlefield:

Mimi continues to hysterically sob. Rex tries to get her to tell him what is wrong. Bonnie decides to leave them alone and she and Dr. Aubrey leave the room.

Chelsea advises Abby that as soon as she apologizes, Jennifer will relax and Abby can go back to doing whatever she wants but Abby doesn’t believe her. Desperate, Chelsea adds that if Abby walks away, she’ll get grounded and then Chelsea won’t be able to come over and see Patrick. Chelsea points out to Abby that as long as she maintains a high GPA, her parents don’t bother her so Abby should go back and apologize because Jennifer is the type who would fall for it.

Jennifer’s living room:

Patrick tries to console Jennifer by advising her to pick her battles. Jennifer complains about how hard it is to raise a teenager daughter and a baby boy without Jack. Patrick offers his condolences but then offers his help in teaching Jack Patrick everything he needs to know. Patrick pulls Jennifer close for a hug just as Chelsea and Abby walk back in.
