Mickey & Maggie’s house:

Mickey arrives home and finds that Maggie has decorated the house for Valentine’s Day. Maggie comes up to Mickey and explains that since he missed their Valentine’s dinner because he was bailing Billie out of jail, she has set it up so that they now can have a Valentine’s breakfast. Mickey says he feels terrible about missing their date and that he didn’t get Maggie anything for their anniversary. Maggie saunters up to Mickey and tells him that the only thing she wants is for him to make her his wife again.

John’s bedroom:

John is sleeping in bed. He keeps dreaming over and over the fight between him and Brady on the pier. John wakes up and asks himself what has happened to him. John turns to look at a picture of Marlena on the nightstand and tells her that he doesn’t know if he can do this without her. John winces from the pain.

John’s living room:

The doorbell rings and Kate dressed in an evening gown, runs to answer the door. Kate lets Brady into the penthouse and Brady compliments Kate on her look. Brady asks Kate how John is doing and Kate explains that John had a rough night so Kate gave him something to sleep. Brady tells Kate that he appreciates her looking after John since John won’t take any help from him. Kate suggests that Brady is too close to John and Brady considers that suggestion. Kate says she hates to leave John but Brady assures Kate that she needs to be at Lucas’ wedding and he is capable of watching John for a few hours. Brady tells Kate to wish Lucas luck for he is going to need it. Kate tells Brady that she’s sure everything will turn out for the best.

Lucas’ apartment:

Lucas, dressed in regular clothes, paces the living room while he drinks his coffee. Will calls out to Lucas from the other room about how he was able to shine his shoes before coming out into the living room to ask for help with his tie. Will realizes that Lucas hasn’t even started getting dressed for the wedding. Will urges Lucas to hurry up and get dressed so they won’t be late. Lucas tries to lead Will to the couch so they can talk but Will stops him, insisting that there is no time to sit down or they’ll be late for the wedding. Lucas tells Will that he and Sami are not getting married.

Lexie’s living room:

Lexie grabs her coat off the coat rack as the doorbell rings. Lexie answers the door and is surprised to see Brandon there. Lexie asks Brandon why he is there and not lying low outside of town until the wedding is over. Brandon announces that plans have changed and the wedding is off. Lexie asks Brandon what Sami did now.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami is sitting on the couch, crying. A huge pile of used tissues surrounds her. Sami wipes her nose, as she can’t believe that this is really happening again. Sami notices her wedding dress that is handing on the inside of the door and runs her hand along its edge. Sami notes how this was supposed to be her wedding day, the happiest day of her life. Sami fantasizes that she and Lucas arrive at her apartment after the wedding and happily married. In the fantasy, Sami is relieved that she finally had a wedding day that didn’t end in disaster. Suddenly, Kate appears and tells Lucas that Sami has been cheating on him. Brandon comes out of Sami’s bedroom; half dressed, and asks Sami when she is coming back to bed. Sami looks in horror at Brandon, Kate, and then spins around to look at Lucas’ reaction. Lucas asks Sami how she could do this to him. Back in reality, Sami insists that this is all Kate’s fault and vows not to let Kate get away with it. Sami insists tat she is getting married today and that there is nothing Kate can do to stop it.

Lexie’s living room:

Lexie asks Brandon what happened. Brandon tells Lexie that he thinks they were set up. Lexie asks Brandon to explain. Brandon says that Sami’s telephone psychic told her where he was. Lexie jokes about how Celeste isn’t even that good of a psychic. Brandon says that the whole thing is very suspicious. Lexie still believes that Sami was the one doing the setting up and tells Brandon that Sami can’t stay away from him. Brandon then tells Lexie about how Sami says the maid let her into his room but the only maid on duty that night denies ever seeing her. Lexie asks Brandon if he knows how Sami got into his room. Brandon says he doesn’t because he must have been asleep. Brandon tells Lexie that when he woke up, Sami was there in bed with him. Lexie sighs. Brandon goes on to explain that they were both naked. Lexie covers her face with her hands and moans. Brandon goes on to mention the empty bottle of champagne that was on the floor but he doesn’t know how that got there either. Lexie says she thinks she knows. Brandon defends Sami by saying that Sami insists that she doesn’t know what happened either but Lexie doesn’t believe it. Lexie asks Brandon how that could be possible. Brandon repeats his theory of a setup. Lexie insists that Sami is the one who set him up and is obsessed with Brandon. Lexie warns that Sami will always be poison to anyone man who gets involved with her.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami holds the wedding dress up to her. Sami vows that she is not going to lose Lucas and insists on finding a way to prove her innocence. In her fantasy, Lucas questions Sami’s cheating. Sami insists that she loves Lucas and that Kate set her up. Back in reality, Sami vows to make Lucas believe her so that Kate will then be the one crying as she and Lucas get married exactly as planned. Sami walks over to the table, still holding her wedding dress. Sami goes through the items on the table. Sami picks up Caroline’s old broach and counts that as her something old. Sami picks up the strand of pearls that Lucas got her and counts that her something new. Sami picks up Will’s lucky rabbit foot as her something borrowed. Sami picks up her garter and counts it as something blue. Sami insists that she is going to have the most wonderful wedding in the world.

Lucas’ living room:

Lucas sits Will down on the couch. Will asks if Sami messed things up again like she always does. Lucas tells Will that things didn’t work out the way that they hoped. Will begs Lucas to tell him the truth about what Sami did. Lucas decides that Will deserves to know and tells him that last night Sami went to see Brandon. Will asks Lucas why Sami would do something like that. Lucas says he wishes he had an answer for Will but he doesn’t. Will feels that they will never be a family but Lucas urges Will not to say that as he pulls him into a hug.

John’s living room:

Brady asks Kate to tell Sami and Lucas that he and John wish they could be there even though Sami doesn’t want them to be. Kate says that Sami should be grateful that Brady is there taking care of John. Brady says he still thinks John should be in rehab. Kate sighs and insists that they can take care of John at home. Kate points out that John wouldn’t want his family and friends to know that he had to enter rehab as she puts on her coat. Brady worries that John could sneak out again and score more drugs. Kate insists that that only happened because they had an incompetent nurse who has now been fired. Brady still worries that it could happen again because it was so easy for John to do it the first time. Kate reminds Brady that the important thing is that he was able to stop John before he shot up again. Brady says he didn’t like how he had to stop John and Kate sympathizes with him. Brady tells Kate to have a good time and heads upstairs to check on John.

Penthouse hallway:

Kate leaves the penthouse and is surprised by Eugenia who had been waiting for her to come out. Eugenia apologizes for surprising Kate but then is worried that the plan didn’t work when she notices that Kate is dressed for the wedding. Kate tells Eugenia to relax and explains that she is only dressed so that it appears that the wedding is still on. Eugenia realizes that Kate is right and calms down. Kate vows that the wedding will never happen. Eugenia asks Kate if she has talked to Lucas. Kate points out that she can’t have talked to Lucas because he has to think that she knows nothing about this. Eugenia asks how they will be able to find out what is going on. Kate explains that she is headed to Lucas’ apartment right now where she will pretend to be wishing him luck, expecting to hear about the wedding being cancelled and then will pretend to be horrified and shocked. Eugenia asks Kate what if Sami figures out that Kate was the one who set her up and warns that Kate could lose Lucas and Will forever.

Mickey & Maggie’s house:

Mickey reminds Maggie that he is legally married to Bonnie. Maggie tells Mickey not to remind her. Mickey insists that the three of them live platonically in this house until they figure things out. Maggie quips that she knows what to do and pours a glass from the juice pitcher on the table. Mickey sympathizes with Maggie but points out that it isn’t for any of them. Mickey mentions how he was able to negotiate with Bonnie to allow him and Maggie some time alone together. Maggie adds liquor to one of the glasses and tells Mickey that she plans to take full advantage of that. Maggie then pours club soda into her glass and asks that they don’t mention Bonnie anymore while offering Mickey a mimosa. Mickey takes the glass from Maggie and questions whether Maggie is also drinking. Maggie explains that her glass solely contains orange juice and club soda. Mickey jokingly asks Maggie if she is trying to get him intoxicated. They toast to their anniversary and lock arms as they drink from their respective glasses. Maggie and Mickey then sit at the table. Mickey apologizes for having Billie’s arrest getting in the way of their romantic evening. Maggie feeds Mickey a strawberry dipped in cream. Maggie says that she is worried about Bo and Hope because Bo had promised Hope that he wouldn’t go running after Billie but he did. Maggie finishes off the last bite of the same strawberry while Mickey wipes his mouth with the napkin. Mickey insists that it was under unusual circumstances, feeling that Hope would understand eventually. Maggie notes that no one can come between Bo and Hope but then looks sad. Mickey asks what is wrong. Maggie begins to cry as she explains that she was about to say that nothing can come between Bo and Hope because they have the kind of marriage and the kind of love that will last forever. Mickey asks why that would Maggie cry and Maggie explains that that is what people used to say about their marriage. Maggie apologizes for spoiling the mood and leads Mickey to the couch. Maggie tells Mickey to close his eyes because she has a surprise. Mickey closes his eyes and Maggie steps behind the couch and begins to pull her robe down to reveal bare shoulders.

John’s bedroom:

Brady enters John’s bedroom and asks how he is feeling. John says he’s been better. Brady says it hurts him to see John in this much pain. John corrects Brady to say that it hurts him to see his dad as a pathetic desperate junkie. Brady tells John that he isn’t going to force him to go to rehab and John thanks him. Brady adds that Kate thinks that John has all he the help he needs right at home. John insists that he has to ride this out on his own. Brady says that he has done research on drug addiction and insists that John needs someone there to support him. John looks over at Marlena’s picture and says that there was only one person who could help him and now she, Marlena, is gone. Brady points out that while Marlena may be gone, he and Belle are still here. John wants to keep Belle in the dark about his addiction so she won’t worry and Brady agrees. Brady wants to talk about last night but John tells him not to worry about it because it was his fault. Brady says that while the drugs have made John a whole other person, he is still his father and Brady had no right to raise a hand to him. John tells Brady to forget about it but Brady doesn’t believe that it can be over until they settle it. John asks how Brady plans to settle it. Brady asks John to hit him back. Brady taps the side of his face and tells John to hit him there because he deserves it.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami vows to figure out how Kate could get her into bed with Brandon if it’s the last thing she does.

Lexie’s living room:

Lexie is glad that Sami has finally getting her comeuppance but worries that Sami will then come after Brandon once she looses Lucas. Lexie demands that Brandon promise to stay far away from Sami. Brandon insists that Sami did not come to his room to seduce him; it had to be a setup. Lexie asks who would set them up. Brandon says that Sami thinks that Kate was involved. Lexie considers that Kate could have been involved but then asks how Kate could have known that Brandon would be back in Salem before the wedding. Lexie asks Brandon why he did come back. Brandon tells Lexie that he got her email that asked him to come back for Abe. Lexie tells Brandon that she never sent him that email. Brandon deduces who could have sent it.

Mickey & Maggie’s living room:

Maggie puts her red-heeled foot in Mickey’s hand and says surprise. Mickey opens his eyes and looks up to see Maggie dressed in a bright red, sparkly, Vegas style outfit. Maggie giggles and smiles as Mickey tells her that she looks amazing. Maggie points out that she wore her red shoes. Mickey strokes Maggie’s leg as he jokes about how she isn’t wearing much else. Maggie sits down on the couch beside Mickey. Mickey tells Maggie that she is more beautiful then the day he gave her those red shoes. Maggie pulls out a scrapbook of the highlights of their life together. They laugh at an old picture and reminisce about how they knew that day that they were going to fall in love. Maggie turns the page to show Mickey a leaf that Mickey found on the farm while they were dating and said that it had matched Maggie’s hair. Mickey is surprised that Maggie kept it all this time. Maggie strokes Mickey’s face as she tells him that she hangs on to everything she loves and never lets go. Bonnie walks in on them and demands to know what is going on.

Lexie’s living room:

Lexie suggests that Sami could have sent Brandon that email in hopes for one last tryst before her wedding. Brandon dismisses that suggestion, instead wanting to believe that Kate is the more obvious suspect. Brandon begins to think that Sami truly is innocent. Lexie can’t imagine Sami ever being innocent. Lexie urges Brandon to not feel sorry for Sami and get sucked in. Lexie warns that this could be a big scheme of Sami’s to try and get Brandon back. Brandon asks Lexie to give Sami the benefit of the doubt. Brandon insists that Kate can’t get away with something like that and has to be stopped.

Lucas’ apartment:

Kate rings the doorbell and Lucas answers. Lucas tells Kate that he was just about to call her. Kate asks Lucas why he isn’t dressed for the wedding. Lucas hesitates before answering. Kate asks Lucas what happened between Sami and Brandon, assuming that Sami had a logical explanation for going to Brandon’s hotel room. Lucas says that Sami didn’t have an explanation. Lucas tells Kate that he caught Sami in bed with Brandon. Kate pretends to be shocked and offers her condolences to Lucas. Lucas tells Kate that he is worried about Will because Will has been waiting for this day his whole life and now he is heartbroken. Kate quips that Will should be used to being disappointed since he has Sami for a mother. Lucas yells that Will will never get used to it. Kate offers to try and talk to Will. Lucas mentions having to call Father Jansen and tell him that the wedding is off. Kate offers her condolences again and suggests that maybe finding out now was for the best. Kate heads into Will’s room but hides just behind the door. There is a knock on the door and Lucas answers it to find Sami, dressed in her wedding gown, standing there. Sami starts talking about how its bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the wedding day but Lucas interrupts to ask what she is doing. Sami explains that she thought that if Lucas saw her in her dress, he’d change his mind about canceling the wedding.

John’s bedroom:

Brady begs John to hit him but John refuses. Brady continues to persist but John says he understands why Brady had to hit him. John tells Brady that when it came time for him to be strong, he was weak. Brady tells John that even he can make mistakes and that he is still the best father. Brady remembers and regrets how horrible he used to be to John and Marlena. John tells Brady to let that go. Brady picks up Marlena’s picture as he says that Marlena didn’t deserve to be treated that way because Marlena was just trying to be a good stepmother. John tells Brady that he wasn’t a bad son. Brady says that good sons don’t punch out their fathers. Brady begs John to hit him again and John realizes that Brady will never forgive himself until he does hit him. John musters up all his strength and Brady winces as he prepares for the hit. John uses his fist to lightly tap Brady’s jaw. John reaches his hands around Brady’s head and pulls him close.

Mickey & Maggie’s house:

Bonnie helps herself to the liquor bottle as Mickey explains that they were just looking at old pictures. Bonnie sarcastically calls it the trip down memory lane while half naked. Bonnie tells Maggie to stay away from her husband. Maggie tells Bonnie that this is a private party and that Bonnie was supposed to make herself scarce. Bonnie tells Maggie that she only granted permission for this time alone because she felt sorry for Maggie but didn’t know that Maggie would plan on playing dirty. Bonnie insults Maggie’s red shoes by claiming that they may have worked on the farm but now Mickey has moved on to a real woman who can please Mickey in her own bare feet. Mickey tries to intervene but Bonnie brushes him off. Bonnie accuses Maggie of trying to shamelessly manipulate Mickey and break their agreement. Maggie points out that they also had an agreement to have a private night. Bonnie points out that it is now no longer nighttime and she has every right to be there. Mickey tells Maggie that Bonnie has a point. Bonnie tells Maggie that she should be grateful for the extra time they did have because she was busy at the hospital with Mimi. Mickey asks Bonnie what happened. Bonnie tells Mickey that she was so scared and that Mimi was found passed out and was rushed to the hospital last night. Mickey asks if Mimi is all right. Bonnie says that the doctors don’t know what is wrong with Mimi, just that it could be very serious. Bonnie tells Mickey that Mimi could be dying as she begins to sob. Maggie helps herself to more strawberries and cream as she watches Bonnie exaggerate her emotions to get more attention from Mickey.

Lucas’ apartment:

Sami asks Lucas if he still wants to get married. Lucas asks Sami if she is crazy. Sami admits that Lucas has a right to be upset about last night. Sami insists that it was all a mistake and not what it looked like. Sami asks Lucas why he can’t believe her. Lucas points out that Sami has a history of lying. Sami admits that she has lied in the past but not this time. Sami insists that she would never cheat on Lucas but Lucas scoffs at her. Sami persists but Lucas turns away. Sami wants Lucas to marry her still but Lucas refuses. Sami insists that Lucas has to marry her. Lucas tells Sami that she can cry and plead all she wants but it isn’t going to happen. Sami insists that she doesn’t know how she ended up in bed with Brandon but Lucas doesn’t believe her. Sami repeats her explanation about going there because of her horoscope and didn’t want to take any chances on ruining their big day. Lucas tells Sami that he wanted to believe her but then he and Will looked at Sami’s real horoscope and saw that it didn’t say anything about doom and devastation. Sami doesn’t believe him so Lucas shows her her horoscope on the computer. Sami reads the correct horoscope but insists that that wasn’t the horoscope that was there last night. Lucas doesn’t believe her and tries to lead her out of the apartment. Sami insists that someone else must be using her past to set her up. Lucas yells at Sami for trying to blame everyone else and insists that he is never going to marry Sami.

Lexie’s living room:

Lexie stops Brandon from running out and begs him to stay away from Sami and head back to London on the next flight. Brandon can’t imagine letting Kate get away with ruining their lives. Lexie tells Brandon that she wouldn’t blame Kate because she would rather die than have Sami as her daughter in law. Brandon insists that he has to find out the truth and owes at least that to Sami. Brandon leaves. Lexie warns after him that he is making a huge mistake.

Mickey & Maggie’s house:

Mickey tells Bonnie not to worry and promises Bonnie that he will make sure that Mimi is well taken care of. Mickey leaves to make some calls. Bonnie turns and sighs when she sees Maggie glaring at her. Maggie offers her condolences about Mimi but tells Bonnie that she should be ashamed for using the situation to play on Mickey’s sympathies. Bonnie is outraged when Maggie refers to her as “Bonnie Lockhart” and gets in Maggie’s face to correct her by yelling that her name is “Bonnie Horton.” Bonnie accuses Maggie’s stunt of being worse than hers. Maggie accuses Bonnie of parading her chest around in Mickey’s face every chance she gets and suggests that that is all Bonnie has to offer. Bonnie picks up the scrapbook and opens it. Bonnie looks at a picture and asks if the picture was from the Johnson administration and tells Maggie that the picture must be old because in it, Maggie was still young and pretty. Maggie grabs the scrapbook from Bonnie and insists that what she and Mickey have, Bonnie could never understand. Bonnie tells Maggie to hold on to the scrapbook because soon that will be all she has to remember Mickey by.

John’s living room:

Brady brings John a tray of oatmeal and toast. John tells Brady that he doesn’t have much of an appetite and he doesn’t deserve this special attention. Brady tells John that he was there for him so now he is going to be there for John. Brady tells John that he can do anything he set his mind to. John says that he used to believe that when Marlena was alive. Brady adds that Chloe made him feel the same way. John tells Brady that he’ll find that kind of love again and Brady says that John will too but John doesn’t think so. Brady points out that John was in love with Isabella and then was able to fall in love again after she died. John insists that Marlena was the great love of his life and there will never be another. Brady says that Marlena wouldn’t agree with him.

Lucas’ apartment:

Lucas tells Sami to take the dress off because he will never be marrying her. Sami begs Lucas to not make the big mistake of not marrying her because she loves him and not Brandon. Sami says that she never wants to see Brandon again. Lucas says he feels the same way about Sami and tells her to get out. Lucas opens the door and finds Brandon standing there. Kate continues to eavesdrop on the conversation.

Mickey & Maggie’s house:

Maggie tells Bonnie to think again if she thinks that it will be easy to get rid of her. Maggie insists that she is Mickey’s one true love. Maggie says that years from now as they celebrate their anniversary, Bonnie will be nothing more than a bad memory. Bonnie insists that she’s got Mickey now and never plans to let him go. Mickey returns and assures Bonnie that Mimi is being well taken care of and that she is sleeping and her condition is stable. Bonnie enthusiastically thanks Mickey. Mickey tells Bonnie to let him know if Mimi needs anything. Bonnie thanks him again and kisses him as she asks what she would ever do without him. Maggie thinks that Bonnie is about to get a taste of her own medicine.

John’s living room:

Brady reminds John that they both know what Marlena would have wanted for John. John begins to object but Brady adds that John needs someone now more than ever. John doesn’t see himself finding someone to take Marlena’s place. Brady suggests that it already has happened. John questions Brady’s comment. Brady continues by suggesting that John could get involved with Kate.

Lucas’ apartment:

Sami asks Brandon to say what he has to say. Lucas yells at both of them to leave. Brandon tells Lucas that he thinks that he and Sami were set up. Sami is relieved to hear that Brandon feels the same way she does. Both Brandon and Sami try to convince Lucas that they were set up. Lucas asks who could have set them up and both Sami and Brandon say it was Kate. Kate comes out from behind the door and Sami and Brandon first realize that she is there.
