Sami’s apartment:

Sami sighs and tells Lucas that she is finally getting to feel like she’s relaxed and happy for the first time in over a year. Sami tells Lucas how much the shower and the pearls meant to her and hugs him. Lucas feels that the pearls don’t measure up to Marlena’s pearls but Sami assures him that the pearls Lucas gave her are already priceless and will be part of their new family tradition. Sami kisses Lucas. Lucas confirms with Sami that she no longer wants to elope. They hug. Sami thinks that everything will go well with the wedding because Brandon isn’t coming back to Salem.

Lexie’s house:

Celeste is on the phone with Lexie. Celeste assures Lexie that she will stay with Theo. Celeste hangs up the phone. The doorbell rings and it is Brandon. Brandon is surprised to see Celeste at the house. Celeste is upset with Brandon for ignoring her warnings not to come back to Salem. Brandon lets himself into the house and explains that he wanted to be here for Abe, Lexie, and Theo. Celeste urges Brandon to leave now and get as far away from Salem and Sami as quickly as he can.

Mimi’s loft:

Jan is still locked in the closet. Mimi paces outside the door. Jan bangs on the door and threatens that Mimi and Rex are over. Jan threatens to tell Rex about Mimi’s abortion and how Mimi set it up so Shawn and Belle could meet again. Jan vows that Mimi will pay.

Georgia’s house:

Mr. Lamarque insists to Bo and Billie that they are not taking Georgia anywhere because she is their legally adopted daughter. Billie implores the couple to think about how they feel. Billie yells that she did not give her consent and therefore this was not a legal adoption. Georgia, in tears, tells her mother that she does not want to go with Bo and Billie. Mr. and Mrs. Lamarque try and comfort Georgia as they assure her that she won’t have to go with Bo and Billie. Bo tries to console Billie as she yells at Georgia that she is her real mother. Mr. Lamarque glares at Bo and Billie. Hope watches the scene from behind Bo and Billie.

Belle’s loft:

Belle’s bedroom:

Shawn takes Belle’s hand in his but Belle draws her hand away. Belle is crying. Shawn tells Belle that her love made him a better person. Shawn tells Belle that he wants her help to make him that way again. Shawn tells Belle that he loves her and she tells him that she loves him too. Shawn begins to tear up as he pulls Belle close for a passionate kiss. Shawn tells Belle that the last couple of months have been a total blank but now he knows who he is and that he knows what he wants. Shawn apologizes to Belle for the things he said to her and for not being there to help Belle through Marlena’s death. Shawn adamantly says he is sorry that he ever got involved with Jan. Shawn tells Belle that she is the best thing that has ever happened to him and it kills him to know how much he hurt her. Shawn repeats that he loves her and says that he has always loved her. They hear Philip calling Belle’s name and exchange worried glances.

Belle’s living room:

Philip returns home and places his bag against the counter. Philip calls out to ask Belle if she is home.

Belle’s bedroom:

Shawn insists that they tell Philip that they love each other. Belle is frantic to get Shawn out of the room but Shawn refuses to leave Belle alone to talk to Philip. They hear Philip coming towards the stairs and calling to ask if Belle is up there. Belle begs Shawn to not let Philip find him there but Shawn refuses to leave.

Philip’s living room:

Philip starts upstairs but is interrupted by the doorbell and subsequent banging on the door. It is Rex and he asks Philip if he has heard. Philip doesn’t know what Rex is talking about. Rex apologizes and says that he has some terrible news.

Georgia’s house:

Georgia tells Billie that she is not her mother even if she did give birth to her and tearfully proclaims that she is not going anywhere with Billie. Billie covers her mouth as she tries to fight back her own tears. Bo turns to Hope and tells her that they have to take Georgia back to the states to have a DNA test done to prove that Georgia is their daughter. Billie turns to join the conversation and says she is sure that Georgia is their daughter. Hope asks Billie how she can be sure. Hope reminds Billie that every clue they’ve had so far has come from the DiMeras and warns that this could be a hoax. Billie insists that this isn’t a hoax and accuses Hope of wanting it to be because she is afraid of losing Bo and that all Hope cares about is getting Bo out of Europe. Mr. Lamarque tells Bo and Billie that they can’t just come here and expect them to hand over their daughter. Mr. Lamarque points out that they don’t know Bo and Billie and therefore can’t trust them for after all, they could be the ones working for the DiMeras. Mr. Lamarque insists that Bo and Billie have no proof except for the birth certificate, which could have easily been forged. Billie insists that it is legitimate and hands it over to Mr. & Mrs. Lamarque. Billie points out the date listed on the certificate as the day Georgia was born. Mr. & Mrs. Lamarque feel relieved and Mrs. Lamarque leaves the room to get proof that Georgia is not Bo and Billie’s daughter. Mr. Lamarque hands the birth certificate back to Bo before returning to Georgia’s side.

Mimi’s loft:

Jan continues to bang on the closet door as she threatens that Mimi and Rex are history. Mimi continues to pace outside the door. Jan tells Mimi that she’ll be sorry that she ever messed with Jan Spears. Jan threatens that as soon as Rex hears about what Mimi did, he’ll drop kick her faster than she dumped her kid. Mimi looks worried.

Belle’s bedroom:

Belle peeks downstairs and tells Shawn that they have some time while Philip is busy answering the door. Belle urges Shawn to get lost before Philip comes upstairs. Shawn refuses to leave, insisting that they tell Philip together. Belle points out that Philip won’t listen to anything he has to say and will just attack him. Shawn insists that he can handle himself. Belle insists that she owes it to Philip to break the news to him gently without Shawn being there. Belle says how Shawn being here would convey a message that says he was gloating, like he won. Shawn agrees that that reasoning is logical and asks Belle to call him as soon as she talks to Philip. Belle agrees to call. They hug. Shawn tells Belle that he loves her and to be strong. Belle tells Shawn that she loves him and they kiss. Shawn grabs his computer and leaves via the fire escape. Belle closes the window behind him. Belle realizes that she now has to break the heart of a wonderful man that she loves. Belle wonders how this all happened.

Philip’s living room:

Philip has let Rex inside. Rex has told Philip the bad news and Philip is taken aback by the news. Rex adds that he heard it from someone in Philip’s unit that he knows at Salem U. Belle overhears Philip remark that he can’t believe what happened as she is coming downstairs. Belle asks what happened. Rex defers to let Philip tell Belle. Belle tells Rex that she has something important to talk to Philip about too. Rex tells Belle that Philip just got some pretty awful news and leans in close to tell Belle to be there for Philip. Rex offers his condolences to Philip and leaves. Belle asks Philip what happened. Philip tells Belle that his unit’s first lieutenant, Paul, got into a bad car accident and they don’t think he is going to make it. Philip appears on the verge of tears.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami and Lucas are snuggling on the couch. The doorbell rings. Lucas suggests that it could be Will because he lost his key. Sami laughs as Lucas answers the door. It is a deliveryman who has his arms full of packages wrapped in wedding gift-wrap. Lucas takes the clipboard from the man as the man says that he has a delivery for Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Roberts. Lucas signs the order form. Sami says she likes the sound of Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Roberts. Lucas attaches a monetary tip to the clipboard and hands it back to the deliveryman as he takes the gifts from him. The deliveryman offers his congratulations and shuts the door for Lucas. Lucas carries the pile of gifts to the table. Sami is anxious to open the gifts now but Lucas wants her to wait until the reception. Sami insists that they have to open the gifts now so they can get a head start on their thank you notes. Sami excitedly tears open the first box as she hopes that one of the boxes contains a cappuccino maker.

Lexie’s living room:

Brandon insists to Celeste that his coming back to Salem has nothing to do with Sami, he only came back for Abe and thought he’d check in with Lexie first. Celeste tells Brandon that Lexie is at the hospital. Brandon asks if Lexie mentioned how Abe was doing. Celeste tells Brandon that Abe is finally getting some sleep and that Lexie is going to stay there with him and try to get some sleep herself. Brandon decides not to disturb them. Brandon says he will stay at Lexie’s house and possibly take a nap because it was a long flight. Celeste is surprised that Brandon didn’t sleep on the plane. Brandon tells Celeste about how the lady next to her wouldn’t stop talking. Celeste asks Brandon if the lady was pretty and Brandon admits that she was. Celeste asks about the lady’s name and Brandon tells her that the lady’s name was Heather. Celeste asks if Brandon got Heather’s number. Brandon says he didn’t and upon seeing Celeste’s expression, insists that he didn’t not get Heather’s number because he still wants to be with Sami. Brandon vows not to go near Sami. Celeste warns that if Brandon stays in Salem, he won’t be able to avoid running into Sami. Celeste warns that fate has a sadistic sense of humor. Brandon rolls his eyes.

Georgia’s house:

Mrs. Lamarque brings back a box of documents from when they adopted Georgia. She pulls out the birth certificate and hands it to Bo and Billie. Billie notes that the birth dates don’t match and are almost three months apart. Bo suggests that the DiMeras could have altered that. Mr. Lamarque doesn’t believe that to be possible and points out that no other information was changed like the fact that Georgia was born in America. Bo believes that the DiMeras would do that so that it would keep Bo and Billie’s hopes alive. Mrs. Lamarque notes that there is no doctor or medical information on Billie’s copy of the birth certificate. Billie explains that Georgia was born in a small cabin on the Louisiana Bayou. Mrs. Lamarque insists that Georgia is not Bo and Billie’s daughter. Billie believes that Georgia is and insists that they take Georgia back to the states for a DNA test. Mrs. Lamarque refuses to let that happen without an order from the courts. Hope speaks up with an idea to get the proof they need right here and right now. Everyone turns to look at her.

Mimi’s loft:

Mimi leans in close to the closet door now that Jan is quiet. Mimi sits down on the couch. Shawn returns to the loft from the fire escape. Mimi questions him about Belle. Jan begins to bang on the closet door and yells at Shawn to let her out. Mimi explains that locking Jan in the closet was the only way to make sure that she didn’t interfere. Shawn smiles as he moves the chair away from the door and lets Jan out of the closet. Jan storms out of the closet and announces that Mimi locked her in the closet just as Rex walks in the door. Shawn explains to Rex that he had to something and Mimi was helping ensure that Jan wouldn’t mess it up. Jan declares that Mimi was helping Shawn and Belle meet again. Rex yells at Mimi. Shawn interrupts to defend Mimi and says that it was worth it. Rex asks if Belle finally helped Shawn see the truth. Shawn says that she did and now Belle is straightening out Philip now. Rex wants to know what Shawn is talking about. Shawn smiles as he tells everyone that he and Belle worked things out. Jan tries to convince herself that that didn’t happen. Shawn declares that Belle loves him and he loves her back. Jan still insists that that isn’t true. Jan walks away from them. Rex asks Shawn about Philip. Mimi is thankful that true love finally won out in the end. Jan warns Mimi that when she gets back, she is doomed. Jan grabs her coat and purse and storms out of the loft, hitting Shawn with her purse as she walks past him. Shawn waves goodbye as she leaves. Rex asks if this is really happening. Shawn confirms that Belle is over in her loft telling Philip right now. Rex turns to Mimi with an angry look. Mimi profusely apologizes and insists that she couldn’t let this go on any longer. Rex yells at Mimi for lying to him and doing something he specifically asked her not to do. Rex tells Mimi that they will talk about this later when they are alone. Rex says he is worried about Philip now and can’t believe this is happening. Rex points his finger at Mimi as he declares that Philip is going to be devastated and it is all Mimi’s fault.

Belle’s living room:

Belle asks Philip if he has any details about the accident. Philip tells Belle that Rex told him about Paul being flown to a military hospital for an operation. Belle recalls that she and Philip went to dinner with Paul and his wife, Maria. Belle remembers that Maria was looking forward to starting a family and begins to feel bad for Maria. Philip says that Maria should be devastated because what happened to Paul was her fault. Belle doesn’t understand what Philip means by that. Philip explains that when Paul arrived home on leave, he found that Maria had left him a Dear John letter that included her want for a divorce. Belle is surprised that Maria wrote all that in a letter. Philip brushes it off as nothing new. Belle notes how awful that is. Philip adds that he hears of it happening all the time and believes that if you are going to break up with someone, at least do it in person. Belle asks if Philip knows why Maria left Paul. Philip tells Belle that while Paul was on base, Maria reconnected with an old boyfriend and fell in love again.

Lexie’s living room:

Brandon insists to Celeste that she is wrong this time. Brandon shows Celeste the wedding announcement in the paper and insists that Sami and Lucas’ wedding is a done deal. Celeste still believes that the wedding could be doomed to fail. Brandon feels that this wedding will go off without a hitch. Celeste offers a way to find out if Brandon is willing and unafraid.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami has opened all of the wedding presents and notes that they got two toasters and a blender. Sami marvels at the idea that people sent her things that she obviously already had. Sami says that she is taking everything back tomorrow. Lucas points out that Sami did get her cappuccino maker. Lucas pretends to talk in an Irish accent as he reminds Sami that Shawn Sr. got them a trip to Ireland. Sami laughs. Sami pulls the last present into her lap and begins to open it. She complains that it’s too small to be a fondue pot or waffle maker. Lucas lifts it and notes that it is light. Lucas jokes about how he wishes it were a waffle maker. Sami hands Lucas the card. Sami pulls out a crystal figurine of two lovebirds. Lucas reads the legend of the lovebirds off the card. Sami wants to make sure that the lovebirds never get broken and asks who sent them. Lucas reads the inscription from the card that mentions not being able to be here for the wedding but wishes them every happiness. Sami asks if the gift is from Grandma Evans but Lucas’s mood darkens as he says that the gift is from Brandon. Sami drops the crystal lovebirds and they break as they hit the floor. Lucas glares at Sami as she bursts into tears.

Georgia’s house:

Billie asks Hope how she can prove whether Georgia is their daughter. Hope walks up to Georgia and asks if she knows her blood type. Georgia doesn’t know but Mrs. Lamarque speaks up to say that Georgia’s blood type is ab-negative. Bo says he is o-negative and Billie says she is o-positive. Bo realizes that they are not compatible and Mr. Lamarque adds that this means that Georgia is not their daughter. Billie wonders whether the Lamarque is lying about Georgia’s blood type. Hope negates that idea based on the fact that Fabian would have had to know both Bo and Billie’s blood types to find a baby that didn’t match. Hope declares that it is time to go. Bo says he has more questions because he isn’t entirely convinced that Georgia isn’t his daughter. Hope whispers to Bo that he is putting Georgia and her adoptive parents through hell. Hope reminds Bo how it felt when Glen and Barbara showed up and claimed that J.T. was their son. Bo says that this is different and Hope adds that it is different because Glen and Barb were truly J.T.’s parents. Billie refuses to leave without conclusive proof. Mrs. Lamarque pulls out an envelope that the agency told them to open in case anyone came to them claiming to be Georgia’s birth parents. Billie notes how strange it was for someone to anticipate that so far in advance. Bo asks to see the envelope and Mrs. Lamarque agrees to give it to him. Bo tears it open and becomes angry when he notes that the letter is from Tony.

Rex, Mimi, & Shawn’s loft:

Rex has filled Shawn and Mimi in on what happened to Paul. Shawn offers his condolences. Mimi recalls that Paul is married and remarks how hard this must be for Maria. Jan walks in, humming a lullaby and carrying a large box. Shawn asks why Jan is back. Jan tells Shawn that she overreacted earlier and isn’t one to stand in the way of true love. Mimi questions Jan’s motives. Jan claims that it’s time for her to be a gracious loser and asks Shawn if Belle has cruelly broken Philip’s heart yet. Jan uses several adjectives and phrases to describe the most hurtful way for Belle to break the news to Philip. Shawn interrupts her to insist that that isn’t how it’s going to be. Shawn tells Jan to leave because Belle is going to call in a little while. Jan refuses to leave until she has given Mimi her gift. Jan holds out the box to Mimi. Rex asks why Jan would have a gift for Mimi and Mimi tells Jan that she doesn’t want the gift. Jan says that the gift is for Rex too and gives the box to Rex to open. Rex is too curious not to open it but Mimi urges him not to. Rex opens the box anyway and pulls out a baby doll dressed in a blue sweater and cap. Jan gushes about how cute the baby doll is. Jan says that she saw it in the toy store earlier and couldn’t help but think of Mimi. Mimi and Shawn exchange glances.

Belle & Philip’s loft:

Belle notes how Paul and Maria seemed so happy. Philip tells Belle how Paul’s entire future was centered on his marriage to Maria. Belle looks worried as Philip goes on to mention how shocked he was that Maria dropped this on Paul the day before he ships out and how Philip hopes that Paul isn’t using this situation to decide that it doesn’t matter whether he lives or dies. Belle asks Philip if Paul could have been trying to commit suicide because Maria left him. Philip sighs.

Lexie’s living room:

Celeste has placed Lucas and Sami’s wedding announcement on the table surrounded by a circle of crystals. Celeste lights several candles that are placed in a larger circle around the crystals. Brandon asks if this demonstration is going to tell them the fate of Sami’s wedding. Celeste says it will also tell them the future of Sami’s marriage and asks for Brandon’s hands. Brandon refuses at first, not wanting to be responsible for what happens in Sami’s marriage. Celeste points out that Brandon is already a part of this and asks for his hands again. Brandon reluctantly extends his hands and Celeste takes his hands in hers from across the table. Celeste tells Brandon to close his eyes and concentrate. Celeste then closes her eyes. Brandon sneaks one eye open to peak at Celeste.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami and Lucas are now sitting on the floor in front of the couch. Sami is still crying as she tries to pick up the broken glass and put it back in the box. Lucas urges her to stop before she cuts her hands. Sami insists that she has to do this and can glue the pieces back together. Sami tries to place the top piece back on the base as she insists that she has to glue the figurine back together or their love and marriage are doomed. Lucas yells at Sami about being so superstitious and calling the psychic hotline. Sami shoves the now broken apart lovebirds in Lucas’ face as proof of why she has a right to be upset. Lucas points out that a broken figurine hasn’t changed anything between them. Sami insists that it will and Lucas asks why. Sami can’t come up with a valid reason. Lucas scoffs at Sami’s belief in the legend of the lovebirds and Sami asks him not to make fun of her. Lucas accuses Sami of wanting their wedding to end in disaster. Sami insists that she doesn’t. Lucas asks Sami about creating problems where they don’t exist and brings up Kate. Sami insists that Kate has a death wish against her and that Lucas always takes Kate’s side. Lucas agrees to take Sami’s initiative to fight. Sami says she doesn’t want to fight but says that Lucas is being ridiculous if he thinks that Kate isn’t trying to break up their marriage. Lucas tells Sami that even if Kate and Eugenia are plotting to break them up, Sami is the only one allowing them to succeed. Lucas tells Sami that he plans on getting married as planned and hopes that Sami will be there too because it wouldn’t be the same without her.

Georgia’s house:

Hope asks Bo what the letter says. Billie reads the letter over Bo’s shoulder as Bo reads aloud “I wish I knew an effective way to laugh aloud in print..." Hope curses Tony. Bo continues to read the letter: "But, alas, all I can do is say sorry, wrong girl. Keep looking. But I assure you, you'll have no better luck next time while I, on the other hand, will continue to have fun. Happy hunting, best regards, Count Anthony DiMera." Bo crumples up the letter and asks why Tony keeps doing this to them. Hope asks why Tony does anything. Bo asks Hope how long this is going to last since Tony is dead. Mrs. Lamarque asks Bo, Billie, and Hope to leave now that they are satisfied. Hope agrees that it is time for them to go. Billie still refuses to leave without Georgia. Bo tries to calm Billie down but Billie refuses to leave without at least getting a DNA test. Georgia speaks up to say that she is not their daughter and can give them the proof they need without going with them.

Sami’s apartment:

Sami feels assured that Lucas doesn’t think that they are jinxed. Lucas confirms with Sami that they love each other and tells her that that is all they need. Lucas tries to convince Sami that John didn’t intentionally give Belle Marlena’s pearls to spite her. Sami says that that doesn’t matter now because Lucas gave her her own set of pearls. Lucas asks Sami to trust in their love. They kiss. Sami realizes that it doesn’t matter that she broke the lovebirds. Sami suggests calling the store and telling them that the lovebirds were broken when they arrived. Lucas jokes about how that sounds like the Sami he knows and how he wouldn’t have it any other way. Sami snuggles up close to Lucas and they each say they love each other. Lucas kisses Sami’s forehead.

Lexie’s living room:

Celeste, still holding hands with Brandon, asks the spirits to show them a sign of Sami’s wedding. A draft moves the curtains as it travels up to the table. Electrical charges connect between the crystals and smoke rises up to where Celeste and Brandon are holding hands. Brandon quickly pulls his hands away and both he and Celeste look down at the table. Lucas and Sami’s wedding announcement is going up in flames. Brandon asks Celeste how she was able to do that. Celeste looks at him and smirks.

Georgia’s room:

Billie asks Georgia how she can give her proof. Georgia goes over to her dresser and cuts a lock of hair off her head with scissors. She gives the lock of hair to Billie and tells her to have it tested for DNA. Georgia is sure that it will not match. They hear a car horn. Hope rushes to the window to confirm that the car horn blower is Patrick. Billie tearfully thanks Georgia and hugs her goodbye. Georgia tells Billie that she will pray that she finds her daughter. Bo apologizes for the intrusion and leaves his card in an offer to help them in case of further trouble from the DiMeras. The couple thanks them and wishes them well. Hope thanks them. Bo leads Billie out of the room, promising to be with her every step of the way. Hope watches them, unhappy to hear that.

Mimi’s loft:

Shawn asks Jan if the gift is a joke. Jan insists that she is being completely sincere. Rex marvels at how lifelike the doll is. Jan points out that the doll is also anatomically correct and is a boy. Jan tells Rex and Mimi that she came up with the name Thomas Rex Lockhart so the baby could be called T-Rex for short but decided that Rex Jr. sounds nicer. Mimi glares at Jan. Jan tells Rex to listen to how the baby doll talks. Rex shakes the baby and it says “Mama.” Jan pretends to be sad at how the baby isn’t really alive and recalls how she thought that she and Shawn would get married and have a family. Shawn insists that he is going to be with Belle. Jan tells Rex that the doll is a lame substitute for a real baby and asks Mimi to confirm this. Rex proclaims that he now knows what is going on. Jan sarcastically calls Rex a brainiac and gloats about how he now knows the truth.

Belle & Philip’s loft:

Philip tells Belle that he doesn’t think Paul tried to kill himself but there are others who go off the deep end when they get those letters. Belle asks what those men do. Philip says how the men drink, do drugs, and don’t care about anything anymore. Philip tells Belle about a guy who got one such letter who decided that it was now worth taking such risks as charging enemy buildings with no support. Belle asks if the guy was trying to die and Philip says he was. Philip rubs Belle’s shoulder as he thanks God that Belle would never do that to him. Philip fears that the unit’s morale is now been hampered and their whole mission could be doomed. Belle tries to convince Philip that one thing doesn’t have anything to do with the other. Philip agrees and says he doesn’t want to worry Belle anymore than she already is. Philip kisses the medal around his neck and says that it will keep him safe. Philip says it is more important that he has Belle at home loving him. Philip kisses Belle but Belle turns away. Philip asks if Belle is okay but Belle changes the subject by asking about him. Philip asks Belle what she wanted to talk about earlier.
