Jack’s room at the DiMera castle:

Jack lies on the bed and looks at a propped up picture of Jennifer. Jack vows to come home to Jennifer and their children. Jack vows to be home for Christmas. Jack holds up a fork that he has bent out the prongs on. Jack uses the fork to free himself from the leg shackles. Tony walks in, wearing a Santa hat, with a guard. Tony asks Jack if he is going somewhere and pretends to be hurt that Jack didn’t want to wait until Tony gave him his Christmas surprise.

Jennifer’s house:

Jennifer holds up a baby Santa suit and holds it close as she wishes that Jack could be here for Jack Patrick’s first Christmas. Loud music suddenly can be heard coming from Abby’s bedroom. Jennifer yells up the stairs to tell Abby to turn the music down. Abby yells back to tell Jennifer to leave her alone and that she hates her. Jack Patrick begins to cry. Jennifer rushes to him.

Brady Pub:

Lucas and Sami are sitting in a booth, across from each other. Lucas is reading the newspaper while Sami reads The Intruder. Sami looks a model on the page of 2005 predictions and imagines seeing Brandon’s picture there instead. Sami looks shocked and Lucas notices Sami’s expression. Sami slams the tabloid down on the table and clears her throat. Lucas asks Sami if something is wrong in the paper. Sami puts the paper aside and dismisses Lucas’ concerns. Lucas asks Sami again if she is okay. Sami explains that she is annoyed that city hall closed early today. Lucas reminds Sami that city hall closed early because it is Christmas Eve. Sami complains that since other people have to work on Christmas, so should the employees of city hall. Lucas tells Sami to relax for they still can file her annulment papers next week. Sami decides that Lucas is right and feels relieved that Brandon can’t ruin their Christmas or their wedding since he’s already left town.

Outside of Brady Pub & Outside of John’s penthouse:

Eugenia watches Sami and Lucas through the front window. Eugenia talks on the phone to Kate as she tells her that Sami is still married to Brandon. Kate replies that if everything goes according to plan Sami will stay married to Brandon. Kate looks at her watch and tells Eugenia to keep in touch. They end the call.

John’s penthouse:

Kate puts the phone back in her purse and grabs her suitcases. Kate knocks on John’s door and calls out to him. Kate opens the door just in time to see John lose his balance on two canes and fall to the floor. Kate rushes to John’s side.

Marlena & Roman’s room at the DiMera castle:

Marlena worries that no one will come for them. Roman asks Marlena to repeat what she said. Marlena begins to think that she only imagined seeing Bo and Billie on the ledge. Marlena has resigned to the thought that they won’t be seeing their families before Christmas and begins to wonder if they’ll ever see their families again.

Hope’s house:

Hope runs her fingers over Zack’s stocking that is hanging from the mantel. Hope hangs Bo’s stocking next. A man’s voice says Ho Ho Ho and Hope hopes that it is Bo. Hope throws open the door and politely smiles when she sees that it isn’t him but Shawn Sr. dressed as Santa Claus.

Outside of DiMera castle:

Bo and Billie make their way outside of the castle. Billie is torn between feeling relieved that Georgia isn’t being held prisoner inside the castle and that this means that Georgia could be anywhere. Billie insists that they are going to find Georgia. Billie suggests that they go home and start to walk away from the castle. Bo stops and winces in pain. Billie asks if Bo is okay and he insists that he is fine. Billie wants Bo to go to a doctor before getting on the plane. Bo says he has just enough time to make it home to his family for Christmas and vows that nothing is going to stop him. Bo tells Billie to follow him and walks away. Billie scowls but reluctantly follows Bo.

Jack’s room at the castle:

Tony holds a gun on Jack and makes him put his own leg shackles back on. Jack tosses the bent fork to the guard. Tony hands his Santa hat over to the guard as well. Tony promises Jack that if he tries that again, he’ll have the shock of his life. Jack wants to know what is going on with the explosion. Tony nonchalantly mentions that Bo and Billie are here. Jack stands up as he insists that Bo and Billie are looking for him and Cassie. Tony corrects Jack by saying that Bo and Billie were looking for someone else. Jack takes that to mean that there are other survivors being held at the castle. Tony tells Jack to face the fact that they are dead and that there is no one coming to help them. Jack asks where Bo and Billie are now. Tony suggests that Bo and Billie decided to leave when they couldn’t find what they were looking for. Jack points at the wedding as he warns Tony that Bo and Billie are suspicious of what is going on here. Tony is aware that Bo and Billie will surely alert the police but confidently smiles as he tells Jack that the police are on the DiMera payroll. Jack skulks back toward the bed and hangs his head. Tony pretends to be moved to tears as he talks about Jennifer being alone in Salem with two children on Christmas. Tony remembers that he promised Jack a Christmas surprise and uses a remote to lift up a painting on the wall that reveals a small TV set. On the TV screen, Jack is able to see Jennifer spending time with Patrick. Tony pretends to be surprised that Patrick is moving in on Jennifer. Tony suggests that Jennifer won’t be so lonely over the holidays after all.

Jennifer’s house:

Jennifer backs out of the other room as she quietly closes the door and offers soothing words as she leaves Jack Patrick. Jennifer returns to wrapping presents on the coffee table. Abby comes downstairs on her way out the door, dressed in a halter top, but Jennifer stops her to ask where she is going. Abby simply says that she is going out. Jennifer wants to know where Abby is going. Abby says she is going to the mall. Jennifer says that the only place Abby is going is to her room to change because she is still grounded. Abby declares that this will be the worst Christmas ever and storms upstairs. Jennifer sighs and grimaces as she hears Abby slam her bedroom door. Jennifer says that it’s good that they at least agree on something.

Hope’s house:

Hope, with an armful of gifts, steps aside to let Shawn Sr. inside. Hope apologizes to Shawn Sr. and begins to explain that she thought he was Bo but Shawn Sr. finishes the sentence for her. Shawn Sr. explains that he has come bearing gifts for Shawn and Zack. Hope adds the presents to the pile underneath the tree. Shawn Sr. explains that Caroline always wanted the boys’ presents to be under the tree on Christmas morning. Hope jokes about how Shawn Sr. really could be Santa with all the gifts he still has in his red sack. Shawn Sr. explains that the rest of the gifts are for those at the homeless shelter where he is volunteering. Hope commends him for helping. Shawn Sr. says he will be leaving and Hope hugs him goodbye. Shawn Sr. suddenly remembers that it’s Bo and Hope’s wedding anniversary as well and assures Hope that Bo is probably doing everything in his power to get back to her. Hope says she hopes so.

Airport:

Billie is sitting in the waiting area looking at the files. Bo steps out of line and sits down next to Billie. Bo tells Billie that the Basic Black corporate jet has been grounded. Billie is shocked to hear that. Billie asks why and Bo explains that there were engine problems. Billie asks if they can fix the plane. Bo says that they won’t be able to fix the plane before Christmas. Billie stands up, intent on getting them on a commercial flight. Bo stops her and explains that he tried that but everything is all booked up. Bo pulls out his cell phone and sighs at the thought of having to call Hope and give her the bad news.

Hope’s house & Airport:

Hope says good night to Shawn Sr. and shuts the door. The phone rings and Hope rushes to answer it. Bo greets her with “Hey, fancy face.” Hope breathes a huge sigh of relief as she asks Bo if he is okay because she has been trying to reach him. Bo apologizes for being out of touch but assures Hope that he is fine. Hope tells Bo that she’s been worried about him and asks about Georgia. Bo tells Hope that they didn’t find her. Hope offers her condolences and asks what happened. Bo says it’s a long story. Bo then tells Hope about not being able to find a flight home. Hope throws her head back in despair. Static fills the phone line and Hope asks Bo if he is still there. Bo says he can barely hear Hope but that they have a bad connection. Hope tells Bo that they all miss him so much. Bo says he misses them too. Billie cries silently as she listens to Bo vow to Hope not to miss Christmas or their anniversary. Hope is touched that Bo remembered their anniversary. Bo says he could never forget the happiest day of his life. Hope asks about Billie. Bo turns to look at Billie who has wiped her tears and pretends to be preoccupied with looking through the files. Bo tells Hope that Billie is hanging in there. Bo promises to fill Hope in on all the details when he sees her. Hope asks when that will be. Before Bo can answer, the static returns and Hope cannot hear Bo anymore. Hope hangs up the phone and laments that she didn’t get the chance to say I love you to Bo.

Marlena & Roman’s room at the castle:

Marlena turns away from Roman. Roman reiterates his vow to get them out of the castle. Marlena apologizes for giving them false hope about being rescued. Roman says that he was willing to believe that too. Roman starts to say that they both know that it’s impossible which Marlena finishes for him. Marlena worries that everyone thinks they’re dead and are moving on without them, even John and Kate. Roman flashes back to seeing John and Kate together in John’s hospital bed. Roman insists that they are not going to lose their spouses. Marlena worries that they already have.

John’s penthouse:

Kate helps John back into his wheelchair and asks what he was thinking. John repeats that he is determined to walk Belle down the aisle. Kate cautions John that he is too weak to be on his feet right now and that is why she is here to help him get better. Kate picks up John’s canes. Kate asks if the workmen came by to install the wheelchair lift on the back stairway as she walks toward him. John yells that he took care of it as he snatches the canes out of Kate’s hands. John throws them on the floor in desperation. He tells Kate to spend the holidays with his family instead of him. Kate says that being here is better than sitting in the hotel suite and missing Roman just like John is missing Marlena. Kate adds that this is the worst time for them to be alone, especially since their kids are busy with their own lives and relationships. Kate says she can’t wait until Belle and Philip are happily married. Kate then changes the subject to Lucas and Sami, warning that if they tie the knot, it’ll be the biggest mistake of their lives.

Brady Pub:

Sami intertwines her hand in Lucas’ hand as she tells him that she can’t wait for their wedding day. Sami adds that she wants it to be big, beautiful, and before Belle and Philip’s wedding day. Lucas reminds Sami that this is not a competition and says that they should have one big wedding since they’re all family. Sami says that she has been waiting for this day her whole life, wanting it to be perfect so it doesn’t end up like her past attempts at walking down the aisle. Lucas promises that the day will be perfect. Sami smiles as she says that it could only be perfect because she is marrying Lucas. Lucas returns to reading the newspaper. Sami picks up another tabloid and sees a picture of herself, Lucas, and Brandon with the headline “Bride runs out on groom.” Sami turns away and throws the tabloid onto the floor. Lucas asks what is wrong now. Sami says she is sick of reading about bad news. The waitress comes up and asks if they are ready to order. Lucas defers to Sami to order first. Sami slips up and tells the waitress that she’ll have “the Brandon and eggs.” Lucas looks at Sami quizzically and Sami looks shocked.

The waitress offers to bring Sami some bacon and eggs and Sami insists that that is what she meant. The waitress then asks Lucas what he wants. Lucas says he doesn’t want anything because he’s now lost his appetite. The waitress leaves. Sami starts to explain but Lucas accuses Sami of not being able to stop thinking about Brandon. Eugenia hides around the corner and listens in on Sami and Lucas’ conversation. She senses that there is some trouble in paradise. Sami insists that her comment was only a slip but Lucas doesn’t believe her. Sami blames it on being upset over not being able to get the annulment papers filed and vows to get the papers filed as soon as the city clerk’s office opens. Sami vows to get Brandon out of her head and her life forever. Eugenia, thinking, says that they’ll have to see about that. Lucas insists that they have a problem if Sami is thinking about Brandon at all. Sami wants to know what Lucas is trying to say. Lucas suggests that they postpone the wedding since Sami can’t seem to sort out her feelings for Brandon.

John’s penthouse:

Kate returns with a package and tells John that he got a Christmas present. John is working on exercising his shoulder as he asks Kate whom the present is from. Kate is shocked when she reads that the label says the present is from Marlena. Kate hands John the box.

Jennifer’s house:

Hope has come over to help wrap presents. Jennifer thanks Hope for helping her get all the wrapping done. Hope says she is happy to help and has nothing else to do. Hope rattles off that Bo is halfway around the world, she doesn’t know where Shawn is, and Zack is baking cookies with Julie and Alice. Hope adds that she is afraid that Bo will be spending their anniversary with Billie.

Airport:

Billie sighs as she waits on Bo to return. Bo returns to sit next to Billie and tells her that no one is willing to give up their seat. Billie looks at her watch and tells Bo that she’ll be right back. Billie puts her bag on her chair and leaves. Bo leans against the chair to try and get some rest. He is awoken again by an older gentleman in a business suit and trim white beard who taps Bo with his cane. The man asks Bo if the seat next to him is taken Bo puts his bag on the floor and allows the man to sit down next to him. The man tells Bo that he must make his appointed rounds or there will be many disappointed young children. Bo tells the man about how he is trying to get home to his wife and kids but it seems impossible. The man warns Bo not to be so sure about that because it is Christmas Eve, a time when miracles have been known to happen. Bo smiles as he sees the man’s left eye twinkle.

Jennifer’s house:

Hope and Jennifer continue to wrap presents. Jennifer can’t believe that Bo is spending Christmas and their anniversary with Billie. Hope explains that Bo and Billie are stuck at the airport and can’t get a flight out. Jennifer offers her condolences. Hope says that Bo is trying but doesn’t have faith that he’ll make it. Jennifer offers her condolences again. Hope laments that this isn’t right because Bo should be here, not only for her and Zack but also for Shawn. Hope worries that Shawn is out of control and Bo isn’t here when Shawn needs his father the most. Jennifer smiles politely but hangs her head. Hope suddenly realizes that she is complaining about Bo when Jennifer is facing the holidays without Jack and apologizes as she hugs Jennifer. Jennifer assures Hope that she has every right to complain. Hope adds that at least she knows that Bo is coming home eventually. Jennifer says that it is hard to believe that Jack won’t ever be coming home and this is something that she’ll have to learn to deal with. Hope hugs Jennifer.

Roman & Marlena’s room:

Tony wheels a TV set and VCR into Roman and Marlena’s room and announces that they’ll want to see this new reality show called “Changing Spouses.” Roman turns to look at Marlena. Marlena looks quizzically at Tony.

John’s penthouse:

John holds up a small desk clock and looks it over. John reads the inscription on the back, “John, my time with you is so precious, Marlena.” Kate notes that the packing slip shows that Marlena ordered it a long time ago to be delivered on Christmas. John laments that it will now serve as a reminder of the all the time that they’ve lost. John wheels himself to the desk and places the clock on it. Unbeknownst to them, the top of the clock holds a tiny camera that is filming them. Kate cradles John’s head next to hers as she consoles him.

Brady Pub:

Sami says that she doesn’t want to postpone their wedding and is sure that Lucas is the man she wants in her life. Sami begs Lucas to believe her. Lucas gets up and walks out of the Pub. Sami sobs. Eugenia watches Sami from behind a decorated Christmas tree inside the Pub. Sami tears up her copies of The Intruder as she sobs. Sami curses Brandon and tells him to get out of her head and leave her alone.

Roman & Marlena’s room at the castle:

Tony turns on the TV and Marlena and Roman see Kate consoling John. Tony uses the remote to move the camera so that they can see Kate’s luggage by the door. Tony suggests that Kate is moving in just in time for Christmas. Tony says the scene is romantic and jokes about how it is said that there is nothing good on TV anymore. Roman silently fumes while Marlena can’t believe what she is seeing.

John’s penthouse:

Kate is massaging John’s shoulders. John reaches up and puts his hand on Kate’s hand. Kate wishes there was something more she could do to ease the pain. Kate’s phone rings and she excuses herself to go answer it.

John’s penthouse & Airport:

Billie is on the other end of the line. Kate asks if Billie has found Georgia. John listens to Kate’s end of the conversation. Billie, crying, says that they haven’t found her but they did find a room full of Georgia’s baby things. Kate asks what is going on. Billie tells Kate that Georgia was adopted when she was a little girl and they don’t know by who or where. Kate sympathizes with Billie. Billie insists that they will find Georgia. Kate echoes the sentiment. Billie tells Kate about the Basic Black corporate jet being out of commission and asks Kate for another jet that she could send them so Bo can get back to his family. Kate looks back at John before lowering her voice to Billie. Kate tells Billie that she should take advantage of being stranded several miles away from home with Bo. Billie asks if that is what Kate is doing with John since she got her message about moving in. Kate looks back at John as she tells Billie to never mind about that and to have a wonderful holiday with Bo. Kate hangs up the phone. Billie hangs up her phone and looks back at Bo.

Airport:

Bo tells the man that he is praying for a miracle to get home to Hope and his kids. The man agrees that it is a shame to disappoint the little ones. The man introduces himself as Wenceslas. Bo shakes his hand and asks if his name is just like the Christmas carol. The man nods and starts to sing the carol. Bo joins in. Bo laughs as he says that not many people know that song. Bo asks Wenceslas what he does. Wenceslas pauses as he decides to tell Bo that he does charity work involving children mostly. Bo reaches for his wallet, offering to make a donation. Wenceslas takes Bo’s money and blesses him. Bo says he hates the thought of a kid being disappointed at Christmas. Bo promises to find a way for all of them to get where they’re going. Wenceslas asks how “Beauregard Brady” plans to do that. Bo starts to reply but then stops and asks Wenceslas how he knew his name. Wenceslas says he knew it from Bo’s luggage tag. Bo accepts that answer and insists that he’ll find them a flight out of there. Wenceslas says that Bo would have an easier time finding a sleigh with eight tiny reindeer. Bo laughs as he says he’ll do whatever it takes. Bo heads to talk to the clerk at the counter. Wenceslas watches him go and sighs.

Billie looks back toward Bo and flashes back to when they kissed as a way to hide from the guards. Billie asks herself what could happen if they do end up spending Christmas together.

Outside of Brady Pub:

Sami steps outside and sees that Lucas is standing there. Lucas says that they need to talk.

John’s penthouse:

Kate is placing decorations around the living room when she spots a picture of Sami on the table. Kate tells Sami that there is only room enough for one of them here and while John’s back is turned, puts Sami’s picture in a drawer. Kate replaces the spot with a picture of Philip and Belle. John turns his wheelchair around and sees that because of Kate’s decorating, it’s starting to look a little like Christmas around here. John is saddened as he recalls how Marlena used to love decorating for the holidays and would always make the place look special. Kate says that she believes that Roman and Marlena would want them to be there for each other. Kate extends her hand and John takes it.

Roman & Marlena’s room at the castle:

Tony has shut off the TV and the guard wheels the cart out of the room. Tony gloats about how what they just saw warms the cockles of his heart, from the looks of things, it also warmed John’s cockles, courtesy of Kate. Roman calls Tony a bastard. Tony tells Roman not to get angry but to get even for that has always worked well for him. Tony leaves and locks the door behind him. Marlena begins to cry. Marlena asks Roman what is happening. Roman puts his arm around Marlena as he says he doesn’t know.

Jack’s room at the castle:

Jack paces his room as he wonders who else Tony is holding prisoner at the castle. Jack calls out to ask if anyone is out there. Jack moves toward the window and calls out again. There is still no answer. Jack laments that no one can hear him because this place is a fortress where the walls are two feet thick. Jack insists on finding a way back to Jennifer.

Jennifer’s house:

Jennifer places some wrapped presents on the table. Jennifer places some mistletoe over Jack’s picture and fights back tears as she looks at it. Jennifer carries more wrapped presents to the tree. While her back is turned, Abby comes downstairs and opens the door to try and sneak out of the house.

Hope’s house:

Hope comes back downstairs after having put Zack down for a nap. Hope calls out to Zack to have sweet dreams. Once downstairs, Hope looks at the tree and says that she knows Zack will be dreaming about Bo coming home for Christmas. Hope tells Bo not to disappoint Zack on Christmas.

Airport:

Bo returns to sit down next to Wenceslas. Bo tells him that he had no luck finding a single seat to or even near Salem. Wenceslas says they will have to arrange for their own air transportation. Bo laughs and asks how they are going to do that. Wenceslas pulls out a black compass and hands it to Bo as he says that it has always helped him find his way home. Bo looks it over and opens it. Light shines out from it as Bo notices that the compass is pointing to the North Pole. Bo turns to ask Wenceslas if he lives at the North Pole but Wenceslas has vanished. Bo looks around but can’t find him. Bo smiles as he hears Wenceslas say “Ho Ho Ho!”

Jack’s room at the castle:

Jack looks at a picture of Jennifer and insists that he has to get back to Jennifer, Abby, and Jack Patrick before Patrick Lockhart hijacks his life.

Jennifer’s house:

Jennifer arranges presents under the Christmas tree and steps back to look at the tree. Abby shuts the door and calls out to Jennifer. Jennifer sees Abby dressed to go out and asks where she is going. Abby tells Jennifer that she doesn’t want to fight anymore and asks to call a Christmas truce. They both begin to cry as Jennifer pulls Abby close for a hug and says that yes they can call a truce.

Outside of Brady Pub:

Sami wants Lucas to tell her whatever is on his mind. Lucas says that he thought about what happened and what he said. Lucas pulls a box out of his jacket pocket and gives it to Sami as her Christmas present. Sami pulls out a necklace of a silver heart with a smaller heart-shaped cutout on one side. Sami begins to cry as she tells Lucas that the necklace is beautiful. Lucas tells Sami to read the inscription and Sami reads, “Sami, my love, my life forever." Lucas has Sami turn around so he can put it on her. Lucas tells Sami that he means these words and that they love each other and belong together forever. Lucas adds that he wants to marry her and spend every single Christmas together for the rest of their lives. Sami and Lucas kiss.

Inside of Brady Pub:

Eugenia watches Sami and Lucas through the window. Eugenia curses the fact that Kate is not going to like this one bit.

John’s penthouse:

John tells Kate that Marlena would want them to be there for each other. Kate sits down and leans in to kiss John’s cheek as she wishes him Merry Christmas. The kiss turns more intense when Kate moves to kiss John on the lips.

Roman and Marlena’s room at the castle:

Marlena wipes away her tears. Roman urges Marlena to be strong and not let Tony get to them. Marlena agrees that Tony wants to torture them until they fall apart. Roman insists that together as a team, they can beat Tony at his own game. Marlena asks Roman how they do that. Roman says that they know that life is about love, not hate. Roman wipes Marlena’s tear away and kisses her cheek. They each wish each other Merry Christmas and kiss.

Hope’s house:

Hope takes Bo’s stocking down off the mantle. Hope turns to look back at the tree before sitting in the chair by the fire. Hope curls up in the chair, clutching Bo’s stocking close to her body.

Airport:

Billie returns to the chairs where Bo is sleeping. Bo wakes up when Billie takes her luggage off the chair so she can sit down. Bo asks Billie what happened and Billie says that Bo was finally getting some sleep. Bo looks around and sees that his bag is back on the chair next to him. Bo asks Billie where “the old man” is. Billie asks whom Bo is talking about. Bo feels that he must have been dreaming. Billie scoffs at the idea that Bo was dreaming about an old man. Bo jokingly tells Billie that the old man was going to get them home to Salem via the North Pole. Billie pats Bo’s shoulder as she says it was too bad that it was just a dream because it’s going to be next to impossible to get home for the holidays. Bo quotes the old man as saying that Christmas is a time for miracles and adds that something tells him that the man knew what he was talking about. Bo smiles as bright lights shine behind him and Wenceslas shouting Ho Ho Ho can be heard.
