Bridget can not believe her father is going back to work but did not tell her. Nick says he may have wanted to get a head start on Jackie M. Bridget understands that her father has to eat and breathe his designs. She does not understand.

Stephanie insists Sandy call her by her first name. She tells Sandy to relax, “and don’t screw up.”

Employees hug Nick and Bridget. They can not believe they gave bonuses and add that it “will help with the bills.” The employees leave and Bridget says “times are really, really tough in this economy.”

Stephanie says the fashion business is about buyers and vendors. Stephanie says Sandy can not be a shrinking violet. Stephanie uses the example that she has to be prepared; they could fly to Paris tonight. Stephanie says it concerns her than she does not feel that Sandy would be excited if they were actually going to Paris.

Bill naturally wonders why Eric would give his best to him. Eric says it is a gift and he sees what he has to do to get Forrester where it needs to go. Thorne opens the door, promising reporters his father is not coming back to Forrester. As soon as the words escape his lips, he sees Eric and is stunned. Bill welcomes everyone in his office.

Bridget wraps her arms around Nick and asks if he is thinking about Christmas. He says he is and Bridget announces she wants to do something “big” for Jack. Nick breaks away from her hold, claps his hands and says they should have Christmas at the office. They can do something big that everyone can enjoy. Bridget asks if it is possible and they worry about finding a Caterer this late. Nick asks if he should call Stephanie and Bridget says she will ask since she wants to talk to her about her father.

Sandy says she is not prepared for any of this. She says she signed on for surrogacy. Stephanie asks if Sandy does not want the job. Sandy says she never dreamed she would have the opportunity. She says she is unlucky. Stephanie says she may be overwhelming. Stephanie explains the history; she was hated by everyone there because she was the competition. She tells Sandy to relax and “go with the flow.” Stephanie says if she keeps the job it will help her.

Katie announces to the Press that Eric is coming back to the Company. Thorne looks confused as Eric apologizes for his absence. He says he sees that they have new owners. They have stock holders to answer to but the means and motivation is there and he plans to take advantage of it. Bill smiles at Eric in front of the press while Ridge watches intently.

Katie thanks everyone for coming and as they leave Thorne asks what he is doing. Bill interrupts and asks if Eric would like to see his new office.

Sandy smiles at Stephanie as Bridget and Nick come into Stephanie’s office. She asks if Stephanie knows. Stephanie says she does but Eric did not tell her. Bridget says it is odd.

Donna confides in Brooke that they warned Katie Bill was bad.

Bill walks Eric into Thorne’s office. Bill says they can share the office. Steffy and Thomas ask why they could not double up with other designers. Bill tells them he wants to see the idea for the campaign right away. Katie and Bill leave. Eric closes the door and Thorne projects his outrage. Eric tells Thorne to look at the design. Thorne takes a look at the design and tells them this is the cutting edge of the eighties. Eric tells Thorne his job will be to convince Bill that the designs are great. Thorne says the vendors will not buy and this is suicide for their reputation. Eric tells him something drastic has to be done in order to get the company back.

Donna hates the idea of lying to Katie. Brooke admits that she has already told Katie she thought the designs would “turn Forrester upside down.” Katie comes into her office and tells Donna and Brooke Eric and Thorne are sharing an office. Donna rushes to see Eric. After she leaves Brooke asks how Eric took it. Katie is surprised how well he actually took it.

Bridget does not understand her father. Stephanie laughs and says she stopped trying to figure him out. Nick changes the subject and asks what kind of tree they want. They tell them Christmas Eve will be at the office. They ask what Stephanie will be doing; Bridget offers she is sure Eric will be doing something. Stephanie chides that she does not think she will be sharing tea with Donna. Sandy says she can not come. Bridget insists but Sandy once again thanks them and then declines the offer.

Bill walks into his office on his Bluetooth. He tells whoever is on the other end of the call that Eric Forrester is back and that is the message. He walks over to Katie and she says she is wondering about Thorne’s office. Bill says he wanted to see what Eric would do. Katie asks if he passed Bill’s test. Bill says either he is enthused or he is up to something.

Donna comes into the office with everyone present. She apologizes to Eric for this and Brooke asks if he has had a chance to talk with Thorne. Eric says he has and they will go over the plan. They try to come up with a name. Ridge says it has to be bold and daring. Steffy comes up with the name “Dare.” Thorne retorts that they dare someone to wear it. Steffy says they dare people to be different. Thorne says they are killing their reputation. Both Ridge and Eric dually explain that they have to run the company into the ground and then they have to take it back. Ridge says this must be tightly guarded; Katie and Bill can not know. They note it is a lot to ask Brooke and Donna. Donna tells Eric she will do whatever to get his company back. Brooke tells Ridge she convinced him to sell so she will help him get it back. Katie walks by the glassed office and sees through the blinds that everyone is smiling at one another. She takes a few steps and begins to think.
