Sans shirt, Nick pours himself a stiff drink and chomps on his cigar as he sinks into his favorite chair. Katie walks into his house and comments that he looks so comfy….the bachelor in his lair….but not for long. He asks does she want to join him as he thought it was his one last chance to stink up the place.

Felicia tells her dad that going over to see her mom in the middle of the day and finding her in bed avoiding the outside world really scared her. She really needs to start moving forward. He wonders what he can possibly do? Mocking her dad, Felicia says something…..anything…unless he is just too busy with his own exciting life. How could he leave her mother for a floozy like Donna? He barks for her to just stop it. She’s constantly going around and uses these epithets like floozy and tramp. Has she ever thought what those words mean? She spouts that it means Donna is going to make a fool of him. He wonders how?

Felicia asks does she need to spell it out? He challenges her, please do. She reminds him Donna is not the faithful kind. He wonders what she bases that on? By her wardrobe? He says he knows his wife; she is not going to cheat on him. She would never do that. It’s the one thing in their marriage that Donna knows that he will not tolerate. She knows that so he’d appreciate Felicia not selling Donna short and insulting him as well. He says he will go over and see Stephanie if Felicia thinks it will do some good. She offers her key since he doesn’t have one otherwise Stephanie will not answer the door with just a knock. Eric says he will always care about her mother. Now give him a hug. He doesn’t want her to go off with that long face.

As Felicia leaves, Donna comes down the stairs and approaches Eric. She smiles and tells him how much today meant to Marcus. She just said good-bye to him and thinks he had a really good time here. He says he thinks all of their guests did. She thinks she is in the mood though for a little private party with her honey bear. He growls and she giggles. He says he wished he could, but he has to go out. He tells her he has to go down to the beach house as Felicia told him that Stephanie is really depressed. She understands and says okay, but can’t it wait until tomorrow as she has not been alone with him all day? He says he is sorry, but he has two families. He gives her a quick peck on the cheek and is off.

In her room, Stephanie is sitting alone in almost darkness just rocking in her rocking chair and listening to some sad music. Donna returns to the pool area. Owen has only a towel around his lower torso. He’s holding it together, but looking under a lot of wet clothes. Donna is surprised to see him and gives a gasp. As he quickly turns around, the towel falls. She is embarrassed or at least pretends that she is and giggles before she turns her head. He states that he grabbed a quick shower in the pool house after the party. Then he couldn’t find his clothes so they must be mixed up with the wet towels somewhere. He tells her that he is decent now so she can turn around. She starts to apologize and he says no need to. And he hasn’t had a chance to properly thank her for asking him to stay this afternoon. It truly was an amazing party. She says he must have thought he’d be asked to stay since he brought her husband’s favorite gin. He offers that he is an old boy scout, always prepared. He looks around and says he’d have to find an awful lot of missing persons to afford a place like this; it’s beautiful. She agrees that it is pretty cool and she has to pinch herself at times. He thinks Mr. Forrester is the one who really scored. He asks where he is as he’d like to thank him too. Donna admits that he can’t as Eric is with his ex-wife.

Owen is stunned. Here Donna is throwing this marvelous bash for Eric’s daughter and he leaves Donna here all alone? Donna explains that Stephanie is depressed and Eric is concerned. Owen says but he made a vow to Donna to be with her and make her happy. She tells him that Eric is from a different time. He’s a gentleman and very chivalrous. He doesn’t know, but if she were his wife…..She asks what?

Brooke finds Bridget in tears, but tears of joy. She says she can not help it as she is marrying Nick tomorrow and she never thought she’d be this happy again. Brooke has Bridget blow her nose and sits to have a little chat with her. She knows she loves Nick and it’s so obvious these last couple of weeks that they are meant to be together. She wants to say something then she will never bring it up again. She admits she has made certain mistakes in the past by going with certain impulses. She now regrets them very deeply. She just wants Bridget to know she is not going to interfere in this marriage and make those same mistakes again. They laugh and cry and hug as Bridget says she knows her mother is sincere, but she doesn’t have to apologize to her this time.

Katie picks up Nick’s shirt and throws it at him. Then grins but tells Nick no thanks. She doesn’t think heart transplant patients are supposed to have cigars? He puts the cigar out and apologizes. He was supposed to give those up a year ago, but every now and then……. She reminds him it is his house, he can do what he wants. He can enjoy it after she is gone. Gone, he asks, where is she going? She tells him that he is getting married tomorrow, so maybe it’s time for her to abandon ship. Tomorrow he and Bridget and Jack will be one happy family. He asks doesn’t she want to be part of that? She recounts well there is two newlyweds, one baby and then herself. What is wrong with that picture? He thought she had discussed this with Bridget already. She asks if Bridget discussed it with him? He says yes, they do not keep secrets. Bridget knows they shared something special and she understands it. She’s not threatened by it and most importantly she wants to make sure that Katie is doing all right. She wants to take care of her the best she can. Katie says, “that’s our Bridget.” He recommends she do what makes her feel her best. If she wants to stick around, then do so. They just want her back to feeling like new. She muses that she is not sure that will ever happen.

Owen offers that Eric is a very lucky man and he just hopes Mr. Forrester realizes what a lovely and elegant wife he has. Donna says thank you, but they are both lucky. And she feels really blessed that Marcus is in her life. And she can’t thank him enough for helping Marcus find her. Owen says yeah when Marcus first came to him he had already found many Donna Logan’s. He was pretty discouraged and wanted to give up. But Owen had persuaded him to give it one more try. Then her wedding announcement popped up on his search engine and Owen thought it was a long shot, but what the hell. He told Marcus to go get on a plane and Owen had even paid for that. Donna tells him that was very generous. He says he has helped find a few folks find people they thought they had lost, but this is by far his proudest success story. And the best part is how Donna opened up her heart to Marcus. He can tell she really cares. She gushes that she does, and she owes it all to Owen. Why doesn’t she run upstairs and get her checkbook so she can write him a check? He tells her no, no, don’t leave. He knows she is good for it. He’s going to be in town a few days so why doesn’t he just come by the office and they will settle up there. She laughs and says perfect, she will see him there.

Brooke tells Bridget she knows why she doesn’t need any reassurance, it’s because she is committed to Ridge. So why doesn’t she tell her what’s on her mind? Bridget says she doesn’t see the point in re-hashing history, but she realized that she and Nick had to break up and end their marriage so he could get Brooke out of his system and he’s done that…..or she did it for him. And she decided a long time ago that Nick was worth it, worth the wait. Brooke says she feels it too. She can see it every time he looks at her. The two of them are going to have a wonderful future together. And no one could be happier for her than Katie.

Katie holds Jack and laments that he is one lucky kid. He has a great dad and tomorrow Bridget will be his mommy and will always be there for him. She adds she may not be able to stick around forever, but she’ll be there as long as she can. Nick tells her to quit talking like that please! She is only trying to be realistic. Nick replies, “well there is realism, and then there is fatalism. Don’t confuse the two.” She says she is not complaining. She values every moment. She knows she had had more happiness in the last few weeks than a person has in a lifetime.

Felicia just happens by and sees Donna being chummy with Owen. When Donna leaves, Felicia approaches and introduces herself as Felicia. He asks if she is related to the Forrester’s? She tells him she is a Forrester. He claims it is a pleasure to meet her. He noticed her at the party earlier as she was not wearing a swimsuit. She says she noticed him at Forrester’s and as a matter of fact she would like to see him there tomorrow. She is sure he’ll remember how to find it. He tells her you bet. He’s free right now if she’d prefer to talk over a drink. Dismissing him she says that Forrester’s tomorrow will be fine.

Nick hands Katie her basketball set and tells her not to forget it. He remarks that he gave it to her and she never plays with it. She maintains that she practices all the time, for her hook shot. He mocks hook shot? She has no hook shot, she’s a jump shooter. She says a lot has happened since he gave her the set, does he want to take her on? Is he up for that? He pulls out a wad of money and puts a $10 bill in her face to sweeten the pot. She says $10 really? Gosh he must not be feeling very confident. He ups it to $20. She coos, “gosh Nick, I don’t know. I don’t think it’s polite to fleece the groom the night before his wedding.” His comeback is that he has a big bank account, so come on! He’ll let her go first and even spot her six points. She brags he can spot his grandma six points, this is her they are talking about.

From that challenge there it is a lot of touchy-feely moments as Katie darts and turns and slam-dunks the basket. He does the same. It gets pretty intense and they stop and look at each other. They call it a tie and she says she’d better go. She will see him tomorrow. The wedding is going to be awesome. He unhooks the basket and hands it and the ball to her and tells her not to forget this. When the door closes, they both lean against it, cherishing the moment.
