Practically giddy with delight, Brooke seeks out Stephanie on the terrace and informs her that the minister is here, also the children too and in a few minutes Donna and Eric will be husband and wife. Eric greets Kristen and glad she is there although she makes it clear she only came because her mother insisted. Felicia says they could turn it into a great old family reunion. Taylor arrives with Rick, but laments if they should have come together; she doesn’t want give people a reason to talk. He replies that his dad and Donna are going to get married today in Stephanie’s house, so he is sure the family has plenty to talk about.

Stephanie hooks up with Pam and mentions the little doggie bone pin she is wearing in honor of Tiny. Sarcastically Pam asks “where is the killer bride?” Stephanie warns her to play nice, they are here to support Eric. Pam says too bad Tiny isn’t alive. She would wrap a T-bone in Donna’s wedding dress and let Tiny do his best. Stephanie says again they are not going to interfere in this wedding. Pam says someone needs to. Stephanie thinks someone might, but it isn’t going to be Pam.

Ridge hands Brooke a bouquet of white roses from Caroline’s garden. She comments she will make sure Donna keeps it up as it is as sentimental to her as it is to him. Caroline’s dying wish is that be together; Ridge says it is happening. She wants that more than anything although it is kind of hard to think about right now. With Katie in the hospital, she feels sort of frozen in place. Ashley interrupts and asks about Katie. She is sure that Brooke has both Storm and her sister on her mind today. Brooke wishes Katie felt like she did.

In the hospital, Katie re-reads Storm’s letter ending with “don’t be angry”. Nick pops in making mention that she is in a new room. And while everybody else is at Donna’s wedding, he thought she could use some company. She doesn’t crack a smile. He notices the letter and says he sees she is into light reading. Again, her expression does not change. He says he could ask the nurse for something with a happy ending. She asks hasn’t he heard – Storm is a hero, so according to everyone else this is a happy ending. She thinks it’s sick.

Donna sits on the edge of the bed and tells Stephen that it doesn’t feel right without Katie here. He maintains that the family needs a reason to feel good right now. He sits besides her and says she is about to become Mrs. Eric Forrester. “Stephanie Forrester is about to move out of her house and she is handing you the keys. That is not just a reason to feel good, that is a miracle!”

Brooke finds Eric in a pensive mood and asks that he tell her that this is what he wants. That he is going to go through with this wedding? He can’t let her sister down. Confidentially Donna tells the minister when he gets to that part about if anyone objects, there just might be a stampede. He asks if she wants him to leave that part out? She wouldn’t be the first person to ask that.

Rick gives Ridge the old evil eye as he approaches and tells him whatever it is, don’t get into it today. Ridge cautions him bringing Taylor was not a good idea. She just got back custody of her son, Jack, and should be focused on him and not her daughter’s ex-boyfriend. Rick answers that she was invited, and this is not a game and also none of Ridge’s business.

Picking up the letter, Nick tells Katie that having her dead brother’s heart inside her can be kind of creepy. But she can be creeped out or she could be dead. She maintains that it wasn’t Storm’s decision to make. He thinks the letter sounds like a man who wants to make amends. She thinks he was way out of control. She explains that he shot Stephanie and none of them wanted to see it. And they were all so intent on keeping him out of jail no matter what. Why were they so convinced they could help him? Perhaps he needed being locked up. Maybe they were being selfish wanting him with them. He says she can’t undo it now. She asks if she is just supposed to live with that, and he says yeah. And if she can’t do it for herself, then do it for her family. They prayed for a miracle.

Stephen descends the stairs and Pam is there staring up at him. He extends his hand and politely says they haven’t been formally introduced, he’s Stephen Logan. She finishes – the father of the home wrecking slut. Touché – “and you must be Stephanie’s charming sister, Pam.” Taylor blows a kiss to Rick at the altar, and Brooke wastes no time by calling her out to the terrace. Taylor declines and says she likes the view from right here. But she ends up going when Brooke insists. Brooke berates her for being so reckless and flaunting this in front of the entire family. If Phoebe finds out and cuts her out of her life, Rick will never forgive himself for that. Taylor counters that she and Rick have talked about it and they know not everybody is going to accept this, but it’s not doomed either. Look at Donna and Eric, they are getting married.

Eric catches Stephanie re-arranging the bridal table. She explains it is just her last ditch effort to make things perfect. He tells her she can come over any time she wants to, but not to fuss around today. She counters that if he really felt that way, she wouldn’t have left in the first place. He reminds her that was her decision. She cautions him before he says his vows, really think about them as they are supposed to last a life time.

Eric takes his place at the altar, Stephanie sits besides Felicia and Pam. Donna walks the aisle with her Dad. Pam glares at them, vowing they won’t get away with this. She jumps out of her seat and has a huge hose and sprays streams of water all over them. Oops…….just a fantasy and the wedding march continues. Stephanie shakes her head, but seems resigned that there will be a wedding.

Nick asks Katie if she has any idea what her family went through? She was unconscious when she was brought in….hooked up to a machine and if that machine stopped, she stopped. They prayed and prayed for a miracle. Bridget was smart enough to keep Storm’s organs alive until the doctors could do a transplant. Now if she can’t be grateful for that, for what Storm did, there is a whole lot of other people that she can be grateful for.

Standing as her sister’s matron of honor, Brooke reads a sonnet from Shakespeare, “that looks on tempests and is never shaken.” Looking at Stephanie, she says may their marriage be a safe harbor from tempests that surround them. Donna goes first and she and Eric make their vows to each other. Among other things, she says she has been thinking about families today, especially members of her family that can’t be there…family means so much to her and it means so much to do it here in his home…..and having Stephanie here….after years of bitterness and anger they can finally have peace and harmony. Eric interrupts and says he has been thinking about families too and all the weddings held here in this room. Stephanie has a look of hope on her face. However he continues……trust….and melding their lives together, so that’s why he’s saying to her today that he’s going to love her every day of his life no matter what (famous last words).

Katie doesn’t know if her brother’s death was part of some greater plan. Nick says he thought all the Logan women had thoughts of this destiny stuff. And either way, it’s time to move on. She doesn’t know how to do that….when every breath she takes…..she lies there with Storm’s heart in her and wonders does it sound differently to her than it did to him. Does it feel different, does it make her different? She reveals she feels lost, she doesn’t feel like herself any more. He thinks that is acceptable, it would be strange if she didn’t feel strange. He suspects she is still “you”, but then what does he know? He was just beginning to know her when all of this happened. But if she would just give him a smidgen of a chance, he might be able to make her feel like her old self again.

They continue the wedding vows and Stephanie is remembering and thinking Eric is probably remembering their own vows. Her hopes are both dashed and then buoyed as Eric places the ring on Donna’s left hand, but then remains silent and looks toward the audience when the minister asks if he takes this woman for his lawfully wedded wife.
