Unorganized madness, that is what it is backstage at the fashion show. Clarke reminds all at hand that the press is arriving, looks like it’s show time. Jackie reminds him that less is more. Their clients need to see sophistication, elegance and class – most of all class. Nick tells him to listen to her, she knows what she is talking about. He tells Nick that class is his middle name, don’t worry. Nick laughs when George tells him that it’s not exactly organized back there. Nick quips not to worry, what happens back there is not exactly what happens on stage. In his low-key delivery, George tells him that this fashion show better prove to be an asset, inline with Marone Industries conservative values or the rope he has been giving on this deal turns into a noose. Nick extols that George needs to relax a little bit, enjoy. If he’d known he was going to be so morbid around gorgeous women, he’d never have let him in back here.

Nick startles Jackie and she gasps, but all is fine. He tells her he hopes she is fine. It’s been a rough few days, really a rough week, but that’s all over, right? She beams that he has forgiven her and he agrees that the past is the past; their future is together.

At Stephanie’s, Ridge laments that there are no problems, all is set. Rita and Davis are on board and Thorne is over at Forrester’s right now getting things ready. She mentions that Eric knows nothing of this and he’d never approve. But he saw an article in the magazine and has now taken a long drive up the Coast. She doesn’t know how far he will go. Ridge reads the blurb with the new aye, aye, Captain and his dad as left dead in the waters. This is a nightmare! Stephanie exclaims that it is a nightmare. She just hopes that this is going to push the entire show right over the edge. It will embarrass the board and force them to make Nick sell the company back to Ridge’s father.

Nick is directing traffic backstage for the reporters and cameras, giving them sneak previews. He won’t listen to any of them talking about Eric Forrester. He says this is not about him anymore; he and his mother are in charge. Jarrett asks then what should they expect now with a crusty old sailor at the wheel? Nick gives credit to his mother, he’s given the wheel to her now, she’s in charge. She tells them she is proud of everything they have done. She thinks they have elevated Forrester Creations to new heights of sophistication. Jarrett states that still it is a different company without Eric’s perfectionism, Ridge’s flair and Thorne’s hard work. Danica adds not to mention Brooke Logan’s influence. Nick reminds them that Donna has filled Brooke’s heels. She is as committed and professional as anybody he has ever worked with. That’s the new face of Forrester Creations. “And Jackie Marone is in charge. Today will be a day to remember because of her.”

Ridge tells his mother that his dad is not going to like this, neither is Taylor. She emphasizes that she knows it, but once his father is back where he belongs, running the business and passing along his legacy on to his grandchildren, he’s going to be very happy and Taylor’s going to understand. It’s the best thing they could have done. He says, “now you’re sounding like the mother protecting her pride again.” She says she doesn’t know about that. But for those two S.O.B.’s to walk into their company and think they could steal it from them was a big mistake. This little power play of Nick and Jackie’s is going to backfire, big time!

Nick gathers Clarke and all the models and thanks them for all their efforts……and secondly they look absolutely beautiful today. He tells them if there is any reason to be in the fashion business, it’s because of this moment right here. He knows it’s been a strange transition for all of them the last few weeks, but he thinks they are on the verge of something very exciting. They are combining the sophistication, the elegance and the class of Forrester Creations with the conservative values of Marone Industries. “Strange bedfellows, but that’s where we are.” And that he is putting it all in their hands and he can only ask them to give them their best and give them one hell of a show. Donna leads them into a rah-rah “Go Forrester.” George takes his seat by Vijay and Suzanne and offers that it seems chaotic to him behind the stage, but Nick said everything was fine.

Stephanie opines to Ridge that isn’t it ironic that at just this moment this information about Jackie would come out. Talk about the chickens coming home to roost. And with a knock at the door, she thinks this is their man of the hour. Captain Kramer greets them, resplendent in his Dress Whites. He apologizes for being a little late. Says he had to let the uniform out and it took a little longer than he thought. Stephanie tells him, believe her – it was worth it. He looks handsome. Kramer asks if she is sure that Jackie will be happy to see him? She tells him yes and they’d better go. The driver is waiting. She asks Ridge is he coming or taking his own car? He maintains that he will meet them there. She whispers, “okay. Don’t leave me in the lurch. I don’t want you to miss this show.”

Members of the Marone Board converse that it’s all glamorous, but they are about the bottom line. George said he is afraid the only bottoms they are going to see today might be the kind that make their shareholders uncomfortable. There better not be any wardrobe malfunctions. Nick and Jackie sit in the audience and Jarrett makes mention that the Forrester’s always watch from back stage. Nick quips well they aren’t Forrester’s.

Lots of applause and the show begins with Clarke welcoming them all to the new debut show of Forrester Creations. “We are thrilled to have you here today for a show that promises to be like no other.” He says he would like to introduce two people without whom none of this would have been possible – Nick and Jackie Marone. They stand to more applause. Clarke announces they know what to expect from Forrester – glamour, elegance and style. And now the Cruise Line. The models walk the walk and the runway is alive. Jackie displays her pleasure to Nick.

Ridge is surprised by Taylor at the house. He thought she was at a conference in Santa Barbara. She says they wrapped up early so she though she would stop by and try to cheer up Eric. Ridge tells her his dad is not there, but they do need to talk. He says he knows about Jackie, that she was a prostitute. She asks if Stephanie told him and he replies yes. Taylor is perturbed and asks here Stephanie is?

Stephanie introduces Jerry Kramer to Thorne, her second son. She glances and sees the show has started and tells Kramer to come sit and watch it there on the monitor. She excuses herself and asks Thorne if Davis left the door open for them and he replies yes and that Rita is waiting too. Kramer exclaims how lovely Jackie still is. Stephanie agrees and then whispers to Thorne, “and still the same tramp…….but, the world is going to find out all about that today, Miss Jacqueline.”

Nick tells George that he thinks they have a hit here. Maybe there is a tie-in – buy a fleet of cruise ships. Glumly, George says they will wait for sales reports before they go buying anything else. Nick gloats that sales are going to be just fine. Congratulations, they beat the Forrester’s at their own game.

Taylor can’t believe Stephanie would do this to her. This isn’t a game. Ridge reminds her that she treated him and she’s said he would give the company back. He hasn’t and he has no intention of doing so. She argues that it takes time. How does he think this will affect Nick? Or Jackie? What about her career? Does anyone care? Ridge defends by saying the guy stole their company – the bastard declared war on them. Suddenly it dawns on her that Stephanie is at the fashion show. Is she sabotaging it? She rushes out with Ridge close behind.

Rita and Davis tell Stephanie they just want her to get the company back. She thanks them and introduces them to Captain Kramer as Jackie’s right hand men. Kramer is still not too sure about this; Jackie not knowing he is there. She tells him that is the whole surprise. It’s going to be fun. After the show, he’ll see. They’ll get together and reminisce and talk about old times together. Kramer brags that Nick has grown into quite a man. Stephanie agrees that yes he has, and points out that Jackie gives him a lot of the credit. He says that after all these years, he’d really like to talk to him. Stephanie stalls by saying she is sure he’d like to talk to him too, but if he doesn’t mind waiting a few more minutes, this is such a big surprise that she doesn’t want to spoil it.

Donna rushes through the room and gives Clarke a quick kiss. Then Stephanie and Thorne burst upon the scene with Stephanie pretending to be oh so excited about his victory. He asks what is she doing there? She replies she was going to ask him the same thing. He tells her he is working. That Nick and Jackie gave him a job. No hard feelings? As Thorne looks at his mother, together they both say, not at all and Thorne sucker punches Clarke to the chops with Davis catching him before he falls to the floor. Stephanie exclaims that was beautifully executed. Thorne thanks her. Funny, no one else in the room seemed to notice. Stephanie glances at the monitor and says, “Oh, Miss Jackie, ready or not, here we come.”

Thorne tells the girls there has been a change of plans. Meanwhile Nick is on the runway making another announcement. What they have seen is the new Forrester Creations. Elegance, sophistication and class. And right now he’d like to introduce someone, in his opinion, that is the most important person in this room – that would be his mother, Jacqueline Marone. To more applause, he guides her to the stage. He tells them that she just survived a near fatal fall. She fought for her life and won. “We’re all proud of your continued recovery. I’d say we’re all very proud of you.” He gives her a big kiss and a hug. More applause and she thanks them for coming today and sharing in this very, very, special day with them.

The girls are confused with the change in the funky music, but Rita tells them just to go on anyway. Nick tells Jackie that Clarke must have okayed it. Ridge and Taylor rush in and he tells her that it is too late. They can’t stop her now. Donna spies Stephanie and wonders what she is doing there. She smiles that she just wants to give her a great send off for the big finale. Donna is aghast when Rita explains to her that Captain Kramer is going to escort her on her final pass. He too is caught off guard but she tells him that is why he is there in full dress. Donna isn’t sure about this, until Rita says it is what Jackie wants.

Gleefully, Stephanie tells Kramer that this is going to be wonderful. Don’t worry about it. Just walk right down the aisle. Donna is a pro, she’ll guide him. Now there will be camera and lights, but just keep his eye on the prize. Jackie will be at the end of that runway. Donna has to practically drag him onstage. Jackie recognizes him immediately. And then sickening to the stomach, so does Nick. He leaps on stage and grabs Kramer by the lapels calling him a bastard. Jackie is begging him to stop. Over the loudspeaker, Stephanie is announcing, “I’ll tell you ladies and gentlemen – the real showstopper of today’s event is the handsome sea captain on the runway – Captain Jerry Kramer.” And did they know that Ms. Jackie Marone was his Number one prostitute? Murmurs from the audience.

“That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. The new owner of Forrester Creations is nothing more than a common whore.” The place is amuk with the audience and the reporters wildly chatting amongst themselves. Jackie is staring into the cameras, speechless.
