Nick has a stranglehold on Stephanie by holding tightly to her jacket lapels while dangling her head over the banister. She’s turning red and begging him to let her go; he’s frightening her. He insists that she confess that she pushed his mother over this same railing and calls her a liar when she won’t. He rants at her that she doesn’t give a damn who she hurts! He clenches his teeth, but finally lets up saying it would be so easy…..so easy, but he’s not like her, and neither is his mother. He jerks her back up and she takes this opportunity to run to her bedroom. He runs after her telling her not to run from him.

Eric, Brooke and Donna are gathered at the hospital, with Brooke lamenting that she can’t reach Nick. Jackie is alright, but he should be there with her, not going after Stephanie. Eric is really concerned when Ridge walks up as he thought he was supposed to be with his mother. He says he was until he had to go by the office to sign some papers, and then he thought he’d check on Jackie. What’s wrong? He’s doubly disturbed when he hears that Donna told Nick that Stephanie pushed Jackie. He suggests they go over there and Brooke too as she might be the only one to be able to calm Nick down. Donna stays behind as she has something to do first.

Stephanie manages to run to her bedroom and locks the door, with Nick close behind. He shouts for her to open the door; that she is going to face what she has done and pay for it. She goes to the bedside table drawer and turns around just as Nick kicks in the door, breaking the frame. He’s looking down the barrel of a gun and Stephanie calling him a ‘son of a bitch.’ He hesitates, looks at her eyes, then the gun. She warns him that she WILL shoot. He continues – tell him the truth – tell him that she pushed his mother. Stephanie opines that no, she did NOT push her. She asked her to leave. Nick insists that she is going to admit what she’s done and she is going to be held accountable for it.

At Brooke’s, Donna remarks that Stephanie is going to regret treating her this way - really regret it. She remembers that night and what she saw at the top of the stairs. She lets Storm in and he says he got there as soon as he could. A very mysterious phone call from his sister; what’s up? She answers that she knows he’s busy working on Taylor’s defense, but she needs to pick his brain. He says no, no, no, if this is about Brooke and Ridge, he’s pleading the fifth. She confides it’s about Jackie Marone, has he heard about that? And that she was there, and it wasn’t an accident. She saw it. Stephanie pushed her over the railing. Storm asks if she means it was deliberate? He knows Stephanie has done a lot of terrible things, but….. Donna says Stephanie is telling everyone that Jackie fell. He wants to know what Jackie is saying? She confesses that Jackie can barely talk, but she did nod when Nick asked her. Is that enough? For prosecution? He does tell her that it is immaterial – if Stephanie intentionally pushed her, it’s assault whether Jackie had permission to be there or not. Donna smirks, that’s a criminal charge! Storm states that a case could be made of aggravated assault. Normally that involves a weapon, but he’s sure a jury could be convinced that pushing someone off a second story landing would definitely result in bodily harm. Donna surmises so Stephanie could go to prison, and she couldn’t ever hurt anyone else again?

Stephanie laments to Nick that this isn’t helping his mother. She needs him; just leave. Instead he inches closer, “I’m not afraid of you. And you know it!” She cocks the gun; he stops and glares at her. The others enter the house calling Stephanie’s name. They hear a gunshot and bound the stairs and scurry toward the sound. Nick looks behind his head at a bullet hole in the wall. Gritting her teeth, Stephanie tells him again to leave, or they’ll take him out of here in a body bag. All rush in and Eric stands in between and Ridge tells his mother Nick isn’t worth this and it won’t accomplish a thing. Eric looks toward Nick then back to Stephanie and tells her everything is alright, he’s there now, just give him the gun. She glares, but slowly releases the hammer back on the gun and hands it to Eric. Ridge points his finger at Nick and tells him to get out of there. Instead, Nick comes forth and says Stephanie is going to admit what she has done. “Admit what you did to my mother! Admit it.” Eric is in his face and asks him if he knows WHERE he is? “This is MY house!” Brooke steps between and tries to calm Nick that if Stephanie is guilty, they will deal with it. But, not like this. Go to the hospital, be with his mother. Nick keeps repeating he wants the truth, he wants Stephanie to admit what she has done. Ridge tells him he came here as a bully to make her confess to something she didn’t do. It goes back and forth – “she’s guilty”, “no, I’m not.” Brooke still trying to push him out, go to the hospital. He takes one last parting shot by telling Stephanie next time she shoots – don’t miss. She vows she won’t.

Brooke tells Stephanie that Donna saw her. She doesn’t know what she means that she saw her, but Donna has an ax to grind with her. Brooke asks if she is calling Donna a liar? She says she doesn’t care WHAT Donna saw. She had done nothing wrong. Brooke advises there’s an eyewitness. She can’t deny what happened. Stephanie answers that she’s already told them they were arguing. Jackie grabbed her and was pulling at her. “Was it my intention for her to fall over a balcony onto a marble floor below? Of course not.” She states that she was just trying to get away from Jackie. Why do they think she came up the stairs in the first place? She was defending herself.

Nick stops on the grounds just long enough to call Dr. Hillman and checks on his mother and to please call him with any changes. Brooke catches up and says they need to talk. He doesn’t want to talk. She asks if he is okay? He says yeah, other than the fact that Stephanie pulled a gun on him. Brooke tells him that Stephanie was obviously scared. He confesses - because he was going to throw her over the same railing, but he didn’t. She reminds him that attacking Stephanie is not going to help his mother. He’s angry and doesn’t understand why Brooke is defending this woman. His mother is in the hospital because of her. Brooke replies – if she is responsible…..He rants that she IS responsible, didn’t Brooke hear her sister, or does she think she’s lying? She lets him know that she just wants to wait until they get all the facts. He bellows they know the facts. Stephanie tried to kill his mother – those ARE the facts. She remarks this is exactly what she didn’t want to happen. He’s surprised as he surmises she already knew about this. She admits yes and he wonders why she wouldn’t tell him? And again she says that she did not want him to come over here and threaten Stephanie, exactly the way he did. He could have been killed! He fires that he can’t believe she wouldn’t tell him. Hasn’t that woman gotten away with enough? “For God’s sake, somebody’s got to stand up to her!” She keeps pushing and pushing, like she’s above the law. And now his mother is the one paying the price for it. Well, no more! He will use that information from Donna, what she saw to take Stephanie Forrester down once and for all.

Storm informs Donna that he told her that Stephanie could be charged. He never guaranteed her a conviction. Still, this seems to satisfy her that there is enough evidence to make a case. He says that is up to the D.A. He realizes she really wants to see Stephanie behind bars. Donna maintains yes, she committed a crime. He says, “you know, when you first moved to L.A., you were talking about the Forrester family like they were the royal family. Now, all of a sudden, you want to see the Queen’s head on a platter.” He agrees she has every right to be angry. Donna opines that Stephanie doesn’t care about anybody but herself. To her, they are just pawns in a game. And if she can’t use them, she just knocks them out of the way. Just like she did to Jackie. And just like she’s trying to do to Donna. “Only now she can’t, because I’ve got her. And this is checkmate!” He reminds her this could be problematic, with Ridge, even if she now only considers him to be now be just a part of Stephanie’s family. Donna doesn’t think she should let Stephanie get away with this just because she was involved with Ridge. She’s gotten away with too much already….sending their parents to Paris, splitting the family apart, and what she’s done to Brooke all these years. She states Stephanie has never respected a Logan. They don’t owe her a thing.

Brooke and Nick walk in and gawk at Storm and Donna. Donna tells them she called Storm. Nick remarks he doesn’t need a lawyer. Donna quips that Stephanie might. Storm tells Nick that he understands his rage. He’s even felt it himself for everything Stephanie has done to his family. But, if he really wants to get back at Stephanie, he knows what to do. Nick says he’s listening. Storm advises with Donna as a witness, Nick could press charges for aggravated assault. Brooke asks “send her to prison?”

Downstairs looking at the rubble, Eric questions Stephanie as he can’t believe Nick threw a chair through the window. She remarks he was CRAZY. Eric demands she look at him and tell her if she threw Jackie over that balcony. Stephanie tells him emphatically no, and not to ask her that again. She’d told him……Jackie grabbed her and wouldn’t let go. Ridge admits they know she didn’t mean to hurt Jackie. And Stephanie repeats again none of this would have happened if she would have just left when asked. Strongly, Eric says not to blame this on Jackie. She’s the one in the hospital bed and may never walk again. Stephanie defends by saying they certainly can’t believe Donna….anything she would say. She tells Eric that she is not the one crashing through windows and breaking down doors. She did not start this with Jackie. She didn’t push into HER home. Ridge suggests they get all of this cleaned up. Stephanie watches intently as Eric walks away, not really knowing where his loyalty lies. She mutters to herself that it looks like she has a little something of her own to clean up.

Storm explains more to Nick about aggravated assault though the D.A. might not want to take it that far, but he thinks a case could be made. Donna’s cell phone rings and she sees it’s Stephanie. Nick quips perhaps she wants to sell her the other half of Forrester Creations. Stephanie says hello to Ms. Opportunity. Donna says hello to her too. “Feeling pretty good about yourself, are you?”, asks Stephanie. Donna answers better than Jackie Marone. She flips the button on to put Stephanie on the speaker phone for all to hear. Stephanie tells her she does not want her repeating what she’s been telling everybody. Does she hear her? Donna declares loud and clear! Stephanie says she doesn’t want her reputation damaged by her baseless accusations. Shockingly, Donna asks if she thinks she is lying? Stephanie says yes! And she’s just like her mother – a social climber. She doesn’t even know why she’s involved in this tragedy. Is she trying to parlay it into something, money, revenge? Why would she get Nick all riled up like that and turn him loose? Donna reminds her that she threw his mother off the second floor landing so of course he would be angry. Stephanie denies she did that and he’s only angry because of what Donna told him. Donna gives it to her again – she saw her. Stephanie warns her she doesn’t care what she thinks she saw. Jackie came after HER. “What happened to her is her own damn fault.” She slams the phone down.

Nick remarks that it’s amazing. Stephanie has NO remorse, none. Brooke thinks she is just protecting herself as she is scared. Donna says Stephanie doesn’t get scared, she gets even. Nick says now it’s their turn. Storm advises that criminal prosecution isn’t his only option. He has an even better case at a civil suit. Nick tells him he doesn’t want the Forrester money. Storm points out that Stephanie would have to pay for his mother’s care. Plus, in the public’s eye, a judgment against her means she is guilty. Nick offers he just wants her to be locked up just as his mother is in her own body. Storm says all they have to do is go to the D.A. with Donna’s information. Donna thinks that is good. Jackie has already confirmed it that Lt. Baker is asking questions. “We could do this. We could bring Stephanie Forrester down.” But, Brooke laments that all of this talk about revenge and getting even isn’t going to help anybody….least of all Jackie.

Donna gloats that Brooke is right. This is bigger than revenge. This is about justice. She stands before Nick and reminds him that people need to know what Stephanie is capable of. They need to see what she has done. Not only to his mother, but to their family. It’s TIME someone held her accountable for what she has done. “We can do that. Finally, we can make Stephanie pay. And put her behind bars…..for……a …….very…..long……..time.”
