Donna continues to admonish Brooke that modeling is Brooke's passion and she can not give it up. Nick has no right to ask her to. Brooke states that the Bedroom Line will be a success, it just wont have her face in the ads. Donna opines that this is NOT her sister. Aliens have abducted her because the real Brooke Logan would never pass up an opportunity like this.
Dante talks to his dad on the phone and tells him about Darlas death. He assures his dad that he will look out for Felicia. In her melancholy, Bridget has overheard part of the conversation and comments on it. Dante tells her that his dad will love her too when he gets to know her better. And that he is sort of traditional and thinks children should stay together with both of their parents. She really is happy that Dino has both of his parents and feels sorry for poor little Alexandria.
Eric and Stephanie go through many condolence cards and donations and Stephanie laments that it isnt surprising since Darla was the sweetest girl in the world. Eric comments how she and Throne were the perfect team. Stephanie adds that yeah, she gave him so much confidence and enabled him to get out of Ridges shadow. And to face them and demand their respect. And now that she is gone, he is going to need their help. Eric says yeah, unfortunately they are going to need his too. The Bedroom Line is really taking off and they are swamped. Stephanie offers they need to get Felicia to fill in and give Thorne some time off. Let Felicia use some of that energy she has for something constructive, rather than worrying about a marriage that didnt happen. He mentions running it past Brooke. She asks why? Eric points out because she runs the company now. Stephanie suggests she only gave her the stock in good faith. And she gave up any right to run the company the day she married Marone.
Brooke tells her sister that she doesnt expect her to understand her decision. Donna says that is because it doesnt make sense. She scoffs when Brooke says her life has evolved and it includes more than just work. Donna points out that fashion is more than just work, its her passion, it fulfills her. Brooke offers that her husband and children fulfill her too. And shell still be CEO, she just wont be promoting the Bedroom Line. Again, Donna scoffs, Brooke Logan shut up in some walnut-paneled office. Pushing papers around? What about setting an example? That ad sent a message to women all over the world. You dont have to be 23 to be hot! She tells her that shes not just some sailors wife. She cant compromise who she is because her husband is insecure.
Nick has been descending the stairs and hears this last sentence. He quips, Donna, Donna, Donna. I do realize you just got to town, but when I hear things like this you know one question comes to mind. When are you leaving?
Dante is sensitive and realizes that Bridget is thinking about Darla and her lost Nicole. He laments that hes thinking of Dino too. Two days a week is just not enough for him to see his son. She wonders if he should talk to Felicia and work out a new arrangement. He surprises her by suggesting they should think about having their own baby.
Eric reminds Stephanie that she gave Brooke the stock with NO strings attached. Stephanie agrees, but thinks that morally Brooke has an obligation to give it back. Although, there was not a stipulation that she would come back as Ridges wife, it WAS an understanding. Eric states that he would have liked to have seen that, but Brooke had made it clear from the beginning that her heart was with Nick. Stephanie laments that she offered her everything acceptance, appreciation. She just never thought shed be foolish enough to turn it down. Eric offers so now shes the one standing there with egg on her face. Stephanie agrees that yes she is, but she is hoping Brooke will make the right decision or be prepared to accept the consequences. Eric wonders what they cant force her out of the business now.
Donna states that she is going to stay as long as her sister needs her. Nick opines that was after Darlas funeral. She replies yes, originally, now shes not sure. Seems like Darlas death is not the only loss Brooke is dealing with. (ouch). She gets into it with Nick about his feelings about Brookes career. He denies he has a problem with it, just the way the Forresters abuse her. Donna doesnt consider that abuse they gave her half the company and welcomed her back with open arms. He quips, just to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Brooke adds that Ridge knows her future is with Brooke and so does Stephanie. And they are just moving on with their lives. He brags that Brooke is the best CEO Forrester has ever had and she deserves that respect. Donna still pounds that plenty of CEOs pitch their own products. Brooke puts a finish to things by saying she is NOT going to be modeling anymore, so they need to just drop it. Shes made her decision. She announces she needs to go to work. And maybe they can use this time to get to know each other a little better and find out they have more in common than they disagree on. She gives Nick a kiss and tells him to be good.
Bridget loves the way Dante describes having a baby with her would strengthen their love. She says of course she would consider it. She loves kids, but they arent married and they cant very well plan one right now, but maybe someday when things calm down. He flashes his dimples and says the wedding can wait. But, there is no reason they cant start on the baby now. Im not as traditional as my father, you know. He vows that he is committed to her the ring and the wedding is just a formality.
Alone, Donna asks Nick if his mother taught him if he couldnt say something nice, not to say anything at all? He chides her that it sounds like she is the one that needs to get something off her chest. She admits she has some concerns. From what Brooke has told her, she believes Nick does love her and wants to make her happy. But, Brookes Bedroom Line also makes her happy. He says good, because the line is going great. Donna points out that its because of the ad campaign. Shes been in the media and she can tell him its the ad game the perfect storm. Nick scoffs, well, thats funny cause Ive been in storms and eventually they all blow over. And he tells her this is Brookes choice, not his. She doesnt understand why he cant look at modeling as part of her job. He maintains that it is not about modeling. It is about Forrester and his mother and how they manipulate Brooke. She took the pictures and didnt want them released and they did anyway. Shes always been careful, but it doesnt matter. Donna thinks its because he doesnt trust her. He replies no, he doesnt trust Stephanie and Ridge, and neither should Donna.
Brooke steps into her office to find Stephanie behind the desk. She offers that she is just the woman she wanted to see. Youve been keeping my seat warm for me, how thoughtful! And Stephanie counters with that she married Nick anyway. And shes been wanting to ask her. After he saw the photo in the kiosk, how did she get him to calm down? Brooke assures her that he didnt just see a half-naked woman showing herself to the world, but his wife that was being manipulated by her ex-mother-in-law. Stephanie gloats that Ridge would have understood that ad. Brooks counters with that Ridge has accepted her relationship with Nick. Maybe Stephanie should too. Stephanie says she knows Brooke is proud of those photographs. Brooke says this isnt about the photos any more. She and Nick are handling that. Stephanie suggests that maybe she can help things along. She hands her a document for Brooke to read. She does and recites that Stephanie wants her to resign as CEO of Forrester Creations and return all the stock to Stephanie.
Donna tells Nick that Brooke told her everything, about the kiss on the runway, but she married him, so why was he still so threatened by Ridge? He denies it, hes not. Its Brooke who is threatened because they dont know the meaning of the word NO. So, Donna surmises he is not being insecure, just protective? Then offers that perhaps it is not Brooke he is protecting. He knows her history. Shes spent most of her life wanting to be with Ridge. Shes tried to move on with other men, but those relationships didnt work. And deep down youre afraid neither will yours. Thats what it looks like to her. He replies that he will take care of his wife. She says his wife doesnt need taking care of. He spouts that she is naïve. She says no, things werent always perfect with Brooke and Ridge. He says they wont be perfect with him either, but it will be better. Just for her to stick around a while and see. She asks if he is asking her to stay? He answers, youre Brookes sister and family is important to her. That makes you important to me. She says her regards to the Forresters. He laughs there, see, they have something in common already. Youre not perfect either.
Stephanie and Brooke continue with their little difference of opinion. Stephanie says she gave it as a gift to show her how much she valued and respected Brooke. And Brooke says she appreciated that. Stephanie doesnt feel she really understood the gesture. She opened the door for her, because she thought she and Ridge were going to get married again and she was coming back there where she belonged to the Forrester family, her family. But, she married Nick so now shes a Marone. So she misunderstood the agreement. Brooke says maybe she did. But, as far as she is concerned, she earned the stock. It wasnt a gift, she deserved it! But, Stephanie argues that she missed that opportunity to be a member of the family when she married Nick. Brooke points out that she thought she understood that. She had been very honest from the beginning.
Stephanie concedes that clearly she misunderstood or underestimated his importance to Brooke, and she will accept that now. So, lets just finish this, no hard feelings. They play tit for tat, gently shoving the paper back and forth across the desk. Brooke says she wont sign it and Stephanie saying she cant keep the stock. With Brooke saying she is CEO and has as much right to be there as Stephanie. Who argues that Brooke wouldnt even be there if she hadnt asked her to be there.
Finally fed up, Brooke tells her that she is trying to be reasonable here. But, if she doesnt take that ridiculous piece of paper out of her office right now, Brooke isnt going to be the one leaving this company Stephanie is! She dismisses her she has a company to run. Squaring herself and putting on her game face, Stephanie states that she has tried. She has really, really tried. Its over!
