In the new executive office at Marone's, Nick tells Brooke that he had the security codes changed and his father was barred from the building. She commiserates that couldn’t have been easy, despite what Massimo tried to do to him. She looks around and spies the Marone ring on the desk and asks Nick if it is his? Massimo left it there to remind him he was still family. Nick stands with hands on hips and tells her that he gave Mass fair warning. And he hurt the two people that he loved the most. He grabs her and pulls her to him and says he was glad she was there. Things were a little crazy. She jokes that he’s the big man in charge now. It’s going to be crazy. But, maybe she should go now. There’s probably a line of people outside waiting to see him. He whispers that line of people can wait. This can’t and he plants a kiss on her. Then asks where is she going now? She replies Forrester’s. He says he assumes it’s to empty out her desk. He’s surprised when she doesn’t immediately acknowledge that is the reason. He finally says she can’t work alongside that guy, not after what happened. It’s not okay.

In the executive office at Forrester, Eric is astounded that Nick is accusing Ridge of rape. And what the hell does it matter what Nick calls it? It’s what Brooke believes happens that matters. Ridge swears he did not force himself on her. Eric says but he did sleep with her against her wishes? Ridge offers his lame excuse again – he did not know she was on some anti-anxiety medication. When Eric scoffs, Ridge says he’s just trying to explain something here, okay? Eric asks is he trying to explain or EXCUSE something? Ridge denies it; he will take full responsibility for what happened. He knows this whole thing is totally screwed up and somehow, someway, he has got to fix it. Eric asks how? By continuing to deny what Brooke wants? He acknowledges he know how much Ridge loves her. But, at what point is he going to admit that Brooke made her choice, and that choice is Nick? Ridge shakes it off that he will never accept that; he can’t. And he can’t believe his dad is suggesting that. This is something he would expect from his mother. But not him; someone who has loved Brooke the way he has and lost her. He says his dad knows exactly what it feels like. “Or, is that it? You understand too well?”

Thorne is talking away about some strategic points when he realizes Stephanie is not listening. She’s slumped into the couch, deep in thought, but not about designs. She apologizes when he catches her attention and tells him she is just upset about this whole ridiculous rape thing. He asks if she is that sure that it is ridiculous? She really has only heard Ridge’s side of the story. She offers that is all she has to hear. She’ll bet dollar to doughnuts that she’s crying rape because she doesn’t want Nick to think she would betray him so quickly and this early. She’s trying to save herself in his eyes. And, in the meantime, to hell with Ridge’s reputation. Thorne answers back and that S.O.B. is not going to be satisfied until he makes Ridge pay for what he thinks he has done. Stephanie reminds him they’ve already had a fistfight. And Thorne says knowing Nick, he’s not going to let Brooke come within 100 yards of Ridge, much less let her work with Ridge, so that means….Stephanie perks up. She asks does Thorne think she might quit the company? “Oh, my God, could I be that lucky?”

Brooke tells Nick she sees where he might have trouble with this, but Forrester Creations has been a part of her life for a very long time. He argues that the company has changed; the power has shifted. Stephanie calls the shots now. Still she says her children’s financial security is all tied up in Forrester. Nick scoffs, come on……..please, he runs Marone Industries. There’s nothing she or her children will ever want. He says she knows there really is no choice here. If she’s..... if they are going to put this behind them, that can’t happen if she’s still tied to the company. He asks her to please tell him she sees that? Reluctantly she says she does. She better go deal with this. He tells her he’s coming with her, but she says no, she can handle Ridge. He tells her she is NOT going over there alone. But, Brooke argues that she doesn’t want him coming face to face with Ridge after what just happened. Nick needs more time. He exclaims that time is not going to make him feel any differently about Forrester. “I’m not forgiving this, Brooke.” He wasn’t forgiving what he did to Brooke or what he tried to do to them.

Shelley interrupts and tells Nick the reporters are here. He’d like to buy a little more time, but Shelley tells them they are already restless. Brooke slips up behind him and envelopes him over the shoulders and tells him it’s okay. She rumples his hair and says he has an empire to run and she will get out of his hair. Two quick kisses. He stops her as she gets to the door and tells her to be careful.

Eric tells Ridge that he thinks he’s right. He probably does understand better than anybody else what a life with Brooke means to Ridge. And what he has fought so hard to get back. But, he warns Ridge that nothing has worked so far. Ridge asks if he should just give up? And let Brooke marry his brother after Bridget’s divorce is final? Eric agrees it is going to be very hard. Ridge laments how he doesn’t think he can do that, this one amazing love, this connection that he’s only had with Brooke.

Stephanie postulates to Thorne that is it possible after all these years of trying to get this woman out of her life, her family and her company that she has undone herself with this rape? Thorne’s intercom buzzes and it’s for Stephanie informing her that Brooke is in the building. She chuckles that perhaps if she hasn’t decided she WANTS to leave the company, maybe she could find a reason for her to leave….a really good reason.

Brooke walks into the basement office and looks around. She reflects as she picks up stuff to put in her box. She picks up and lovingly touches an old photo of her and Ridge honoring BelieF. Only to be interrupted by Stephanie who remarks of all the pathetic things she’s ever heard. Of all the years of she and Ridge sleeping together, now she cries rape. And the father of her child. What is she - delusional? Or does she just not care anymore if it ruins someone’s life.

Nick winds up his press conference and Shelley tries to dismiss the reporters who are clamoring for more answers since this take-over was so hush-hush. Nick kids with one guy that his tie is so ugly, he’ll call later in the week and give him an exclusive. He gets a call from Vijay and says things have been so nutty, thanks for understanding. He takes off his coat and settles down in his new office. Jackie walks in and announces that one minute he’s a sailor and the next a high-powered business tycoon. She informs him she is not going to stay long; she can see he is swamped. He volunteers it has been a challenge. She gives him a quick kiss and he pats her on her knee as she casually sits on the desk. He also tells her that she just missed Brooke. She asks is everything all right with the two of them? He answers better than ever, although Forrester is not giving up. She’s stunned that he’s still pursuing her, but offers it doesn’t matter. He can’t hurt her or Brooke. But, he informs her that he already has. He forced himself on her……..sexually.

Eric continues to give his support to Ridge, but Ridge feels like he is saying it is a lost cause. Most of which was his mother’s doing. If she had just stayed out of their lives, things would have been so different. And he just hopes to God she doesn’t interfere again and make things so much worse than they already are.

Brooke tells Stephanie that she never said Ridge raped her. Stephanie wonders then why Nick would think that is what happened? Brooke retorts that it isn’t true…..not that it is any of her business. Stephanie replies that she calls her son some sort of sexual deviate and she thinks it’s not any of her business? Brooke says he shouldn’t have been in her bed. Stephanie quickly replies she should have kicked him out if he did not want to sleep with him. But, then when has she ever turned down a roll in the hay? She follows Brooke around as she tries to box things up. Stephanie says “sex is what you excel at. That, and breaking up other people’s marriages.” Brooke asks is she finished? Stephanie asks if she is finished ruining her son’s life? Brooke tells her she doesn’t have a relationship with her son anymore. She thought she would be happy about that. Stephanie opines she would be if she thought it was the truth….so prove it. Brooke says that is why she is here. That she doesn’t think it’s a good idea for her and Ridge to work together, so she’s cleaning her things out.

Rather stunned, Stephanie asks if she is leaving? Brooke says yes because of Nick and her love for him. Stephanie deadpans, “God bless you, Nick.” And Brooke throws it in her face so she doesn’t have to deal with Stephanie anymore. She says Stephanie got her wish. She is out of her company, out of her life, out of her precious family. She’ll be gone within the hour.

Eric would like to think that Stephanie has learned her lesson. But, Ridge doubts she has. Thinks she is probably with her right now, tormenting her. But, it’s not going to work. When things calm down, he and Brooke will be working side by side again, feeling that rush they always had. That gives him an idea, something to remind Brooke just how much she means to him. Something to get their relationship back on track before his mother tries to derail it permanently.

Nick tells Jackie it’s one thing what Forrester did. But, it’s another Brooke not wanting to do anything about it. By pressing charges, she is worries about the impact it will have on her children……..but to let that son of a bitch get away with this. And he laments that he realizes Brooke has a pattern with the men in her life. And that has to stop. He’s going to make sure that stops. Jackie says by protecting Brooke the way she deserves to be protected? Nick says he wants Brooke to resign from Forrester Creations. He doesn’t want the two of them working together. She tells him he’s right, but…….she has doubts about expecting Brooke to walk away from something that has meant so much. He says, “she made a choice, mother. Our relationship, our life, over that company. Now, that tells me what I need to know. That should tell the dressmaker what he needs to know. Not to mention that overbearing mother of his.”

Stephanie stands there and asks does she DARE let herself believe this? Brooke tells her go ahead, do her happy dance. She knows she is dying to. Stephanie says no, no, not until she convinces her she is not just yanking her chain. Brooke swears she has better things to do than yank her chain. Stephanie wonders if it is Nick that doesn’t want her working there, with the man who violated her? Brooke offers what difference does it make? As long as she is gone. Stephanie gloats, “I can’t figure out how you’re going to wile away the hours and time. I just can’t see you being content at home. You’re such a cat on a hot tin roof. Does Nick have any idea what a nymphomaniac you are?

Ridge enters and tells his mother to stop this, stop it right now! To Brooke, he says she doesn’t have to put up with this anymore. She says it doesn’t matter. After today, she is going to have to find somebody new to hurl her insults at. He’s cut to the quick when he finds she is leaving the company and he won’t hear of it when Brooke says it is for the best. And he starts blathering how Forrester Creations is so much a part of them…..their history……their future. She tells him they do NOT have a future. He refuses to hear that as well and tells her to stop saying that. Brooke says why should she stay? Forrester isn’t theirs. It’s Stephanie’s, her life. And Brooke is sick and tired of being a pawn in her game.

With one last shot, he tells her he told her he was going to end that….and he will……today. He pleads with her not to cut things off from something she has loved for so many years. Damn it, they will get the company back. It’s part of their dream. He says he feels like he is losing her, and he can’t do that. He says he knows how things are messed up around here now, but he knows he can fix it. “Brooke, please, please, do not walk out on me."
