At Big Bear, Nick taunts Ridge that he just sees a coward hiding behind a gun.  Smugly, Ridge tells him he’s not hiding, he’s right there.  Nick tells him maybe he should load that thing.  Ridge cocks the rifle and with a ugly look on his face, shoots out a lamp across the room.  Nick flinches.  Ridge offers it was his mother’s gun, and it’s always loaded.  Daggers are flying between their eyes.

Felicia is sitting on her bed when Stephanie walks in to check on her.  She joins her on the bed and says she knows Felicia is thinking that she let her down, and she’s sorry.  Stephanie snuggles with her daughter and massages her on the back and shoulders while handing out advice.  Felicia suggests that she is the one who is sorry for the way she has been selfishly acting, after everything Dante and Bridget have done for her.  He’s Dante’s baby and Bridget loves him like her own.  Stephanie reminds her that he’s her son and responsible for her getting better and stronger every day.  So to take him to Italy right now was ill-advised.  They discuss Dominick being too young to even know he’s in Italy or even remember this trip.  Felicia quips then he won’t remember being away from her either.  Stephanie tells her but she will.  She’ll be miserable and unhappy until he comes back.  Felicia says, “and they say I am the drama queen of the family.” And why should her needs come before everyone else’s? And don’t say because she is dying, because she’s not at the moment.  So who is she to tell Dante and Bridget what to do and not to do?

On the plane, Bridget is attending Dominick and telling Dante that she’s relieved they are actually on the plane.  Dante says he’ll be glad when the plane is actually in the air.  Bridget agrees.  Especially after the way Stephanie and Felicia were acting, she canít even believe this trip is happening.

Brooks stands in her living room dumbfounded.  She can’t believe Taylor just said what she did.  Did Taylor accuse her of pretending to be drugged so that Brooke would have a good excuse to have sex with Ridge? Taylor offers that she never needed an excuse before.  But, that was when she was trying to ruin somebody else’s relationship, not her own.  Brooke tells her the only one trying to ruin her relationship right now with Nick would be Taylor.  Taylor replies, “me? Not the fact that you had sex with another man?” Brooke says Taylor told Nick to cause trouble.  She knew how he would react.  Taylor disputes this and says the only reaction she is interested in right now is Brooke’s.  She told Ridge he violated her, yet she doesn’t seem that upset.  Brooke says she forgave him.  Taylor finds that hard to swallow.  Brooke continues that she knows it was a mistake.  He would never deliberately do anything to hurt her.  He didn’t realize she was on this medication and he just didn’t understand.  Taylor looks at her askance and asks, “Ridge doesn’t understand the word NOĒ?

Brooke’s phone rings and it’s Sally.  She quips unless the sailor and Eric’s number one son have called a truce, she may have made a big mistake.  Nick was just there and very riled up.  She tells how he overheard her tell a courier to take a package to Ridge at Big Bear, and Nick volunteered to take it up there himself.  Brooke panics and quickly tells Taylor to please watch the kids.  Nick found out that Ridge is up at Big Bear and is heading there and she has to get there before they kill each other.  Suddenly Taylor becomes worried too.

Empowered, Ridge puts the rifle back over the door and tells Nick that if he has a problem with him, let’s hear it.  Nick glares, “oh, I’ve got a big problem with you, you sorry son of a bitch.  She was sedated and you forced yourself on her.  She didn’t want you, but you just had to have her.” Smugly, Ridge tells him it wasn’t like that.  Nick inches toward him and says he could tear him apart right now.  He states that when a woman says no and you do it anyway, that is RAPE.

Stephanie reassures Felicia that her instincts are correct.  There is absolutely nothing she should feel guilty about.  The baby should be with her.  And Felicia hadn’t died, was she going to blame herself for that? Felicia tells her no, she’ll blame her mother.  Stephanie chuckles and repeats the old Chinese proverb, “you save a man’s live, you’re responsible for it.” Felicia offers – like her mother needed an excuse to control somebody’s life? Stephanie says she promised her that she would take care of this, and she will.  She pours Felicia some hot tea while Felicia sings Bridget’s praises of how much she has needed her.  And isn’t it better that Dominick get to know them and love them as much as they love him?

Bridget tells Dante that she knows how excited his family is to see Dino, but maybe they should come back a few days early to surprise Felicia.  He takes her hand and vows to do anything for her.

Taylor opens Brooke’s door to Stephen.  She remarks she heard he was in town.  He wonders what she is doing there? She tells him she’s watching the kids while Brooke went to Big Bear and that Ridge is there.  He is adamant he doesn’t want that bastard near his daughter.  Taylor asks if he knows what happened? He replies it’s unforgivable and Taylor is lucky to be rid of him.  Taylor confesses she doesn’t know exactly what happened, but she does know that Ridge is devastated by this.  Stephen says he doesn’t give a damn how Ridge feels.  He just knows he violated his daughter, and for Taylor not to dare and try to convince her otherwise.  Taylor throws her hands up and says she doesn’t want to be involved, but she is afraid.  Nick is also on his way up there to confront Ridge and she just prays to God that nobody gets hurt.

Driving, Brooke keeps hearing Nick’s voice saying he will kill that bastard.  She has to stop him.

Nick taunts Ridge more, at least he won’t be lonely in prison because the old man will be right there next to him.  Oh, but wait.  They wouldn’t put a white collar criminal right next to a sex offender, and he shouts ‘cause that’s what he’d be! Ridge takes great delight in telling him there will be NO charges.  Nick continues, Ridge will lose it all – his freedom, his family, his job….and he deserves it.  Ridge pontificates that he gets it.  Nick needs to believe it’s rape because Nick can’t handle it any other way.  He just can’t stand the fact that Brooke might have still have feelings for him.  Nick says no, he just can’t stand him.  Ridge says if what he did was so bad, then how come she forgave him? Nick replies that she won’t.  Ridge says she already has.

Stephanie continues to try to convince Felicia that she should just worry about herself and little Dominick; that Dante and Bridget are adults and can take care of themselves.  He’s an Italian citizen; the baby has dual citizenship.  What if they stay longer? Felicia says, “bravo, Mother.  Nobody whips up the worst case scenario like you do.” Is her mother trying to scare her? No, offers, Stephanie, she just wants her to know when it comes to custody of children, it’s not as simple as some think.  Felicia tells her they went on vacation; they are not running away with Dominick.  Stephanie continues that once the plane is off the ground and they get into international custody dispute, she will be at a disadvantage.  And sometimes in order to protect yourself and your children, you have to be selfish.

Dante glances nervously at his watch and tells Bridget they should have taken off by now.  She asks is he anxious? He flashes the dimples and says he’s anxious to get back to the place where he fell in love with her.  She replies that seems so long ago, and so crazy that right now they are jetting off to Italy and just a few months ago she was planning a life with Nick.

Two gentlemen approach Bridget and she recognizes Lt.  Baker.  He tells her they need to deplane.  There’s a custody issue with the child they are traveling with.  Dante intercedes and says he’s the father and Lt.  Baker tells him unfortunately he needs both parent’s signature to take the baby out of the country.  Bridget volunteers that she has guardianship papers, but Baker says that is being contested in court.  They figure Stephanie! Baker says they should go talk to her.  Dante says they will, after they come back from Italy.  Not a good idea, he can be arrested for kidnapping.

Stephen retorts that if you act like a criminal, then you deserve to be treated like one.  But Taylor argues that Nick could kill him.  She’d talked to him, and he was that angry.  Stephen contends that angry didn’t even begin to describe how he felt.  What he did to his little girl – he thought Ridge loved her? Taylor says he does, he does.  And they are crazy about each other and Brooke had already forgiven him.  And why else would she go up to Big Bear to protect him?

Ridge stands his ground.  That’s right, Brooke had forgiven him.  Nick states she wouldn’t.  Ridge asks if he had asked Brooke what really happened? Nick answers gruffly that he KNOWS what happened.  Ridge snips that he doesn’t know anything! “You don’t know me.  You don’t know Brooke.  You never did.” Nick says he knows she wouldn’t let Ridge touch her unless he forced himself on her.  Ridge smirks – why? Because she refused to have sex with Nick? He brags that nobody likes sex like Brooke.  And it was never better than when it was with him.  Why does Nick think they always gravitate back toward each other? She even said it in their wedding vows.  Their chemistry was like a force of nature.  He moves closer to Nick and taunts, “nobody else satisfies her the way I can.”

Nick has taken enough.  He hauls off and calls him son of a ………and socks him in the jaw and knocks him backward across a table.  They scuffle, punching each other in the face, across and breaking more furniture, trying to beat each other into a pulp.  Brooke runs in just as Nick is on top of Ridge about to get the better of him.  She begs Nick to stop it and get off!

Felicia says she’d never believe the day her mother would be lecturing her about being more selfish.  Stephanie tells her that parents have an obligation to protect their children.  And you can’t worry how your motives might be perceived by other people or if they are going to get their feelings hurt.  Felicia has been given time.  Time to just be there and with her baby and she’s not going to let anyone take that away from her.  Felicia turns around and is surprised to see Dante and Bridget walk back in.  Dante glares at Stephanie that now he knows why she didn’t try to stop them.  Bridget adds because she knew they’d never leave the country.  Felicia asks her mother what did she do? Dante says she is contesting Bridget’s guardianship.  But, Dante says he is calling a lawyer, then booking the next flight to Rome.  Calmly, Stephanie tells him he is not going to do that.  She is sorry she had to use that extreme measure to get their attention, but now that she has it, they are going to settle this right now.  Bridget urges Felicia to tell her mother this is not what she wants.  She told them they could go.

Stephen wants to dispute what Taylor has said.  Brooke can forgive a lot of things, but not this.  He saw how upset she was.  Taylor confides in him that he really can’t underestimate Brooke and Ridge’s relationship.  They’ve been through a lot of ups and downs.  She adds that she doesn’t think Ridge could do anything to make Brooke stop loving him.  Stephen finds it hard to believe she is sounding like they are just going to kiss and make up.  Taylor tells him she is not trying to be flip or blasé, but stranger things have happened between the two.  Stephen tells her she is sounding like a woman, not mourning her marriage, but trying to push the two of them back together.  She tells him no, he’s just looking at someone who’s through maneuvering their way through Brooke and Ridge’s emotional minefield.  She’s been caught in the middle long enough.  And it really isnít right that Nick is such a nice guy and heís going to be the next casualty.

Nick gets in one more punch before Brooke manages to try to pull him off, still screaming for him to stop it.  Nick tells Ridge that he’s not letting him come up here and getting away with this by running.  Still lying on the floor, Ridge says he came up here because Brooke asked him to.  Nick barks for him to save it for the jury, pal! Ridge says there will be no jury, because there is no need to file charges.

Nick tells him he attacked her.  He violated her and victimized her.  Ridge asks who is acting like the victim, huh? Nick grabs his sleeve and says, “you have gotten away with this your whole life, but it ends right here, today! You are never going to touch this woman ever, ever again!” Blood has been drawn and both are gritting their teeth.
