The Bold & The Beautiful Update Friday 4/6/01
Brooke blames Amberís actions, not her own for Rick and Amberís breakup.
He saw her making out with Deacon. He doesnít call that making out, it was
just a stupid kiss and it wouldnít have happened if she didnít show the
pictures to Amber. She admits the pictures were her idea but she isnít
responsible for what they mean. He retorts, they mean nothing, it was a dirty
trick and she better not say she did it for him, because she didnít. She hurt
him and he doesnít know if he could ever trust her again. How does it feel to
stab her own son in the back? What she did, she did out of love. He wants her to
stop loving him and start respecting him. He is marrying Amber, that is his
decision and there isnít a damn thing she can do to stop him. So, he is going
to marry Amber to spite Brooke? No, he is marrying her because he loves her. She
doesnít think so. He can see his mother doesnít know him and after the
pictures, he doesnít know her all too well either. She knows he had fun in San
Francisco. Yes, he had fun, but that doesnít mean he doesnít love Amber and
Eric. She thinks he should date before he gets married. He asks how long she
dated before she married Ridge. She did, but it turned out he wasnít the man
for her. So, he says, Amber is the right girl for him. How could he know
that, he hasnít dated much before Amber. He knows what he wants. She quips, but
does Amber know what she wants. Did she mention the pictures, no, she just
turned to another man for comfort and can he be sure she wonít do that
again. How can he trust her? He trusts her more than he does his mother. He is
going to find her and plan their wedding. He storms out.
Deacon and Amber play the slots in Vegas. She isnít into it but appreciates
what he is trying to do. He hits for ten bucks and wants her to try. She
doesnít feel up to it. He wishes she wouldnít cling on to something that
will never happen, meaning Rick. He talks her into playing the slots. Put the
rest of the coins in and they will leave. She sits down and starts feeding the
machine. They are down to three quarters. She wants to leave before they are
broke. He wants to play black jack. No, he said they would leave if they ran out
of money. Okay, there are three left, so play them. She does and hits the
jackpot for $25,217. The bells are ringing and she is congratulated. It is her
lucky day. Deacon says his lucky day was the day she came into his life. They
collect the windfall as people around them applaud. Deacon asks what she is
going to do with all that money. She says half is his. He says they can always
use it for a down payment on a house. Before she can respond,
pictures are taken of the two of them. They pose hugging one another and smiling
from ear to ear.
Taylor and Steffy make some more drawing. She hopes Ridge sees that picture in
Morganís purse. Tim calls our her name and she breaks her thought of Ridge. He
made them sandwiches. Peanut butter and jelly for Steffy, he knows it is her
favorite. Taylor tells Tim that Morgan is going to destroy him and she knows he
knows that deep down in his heart. They are both doctors, they arenít going to
fool each other. He knows, so he wants her to stop playing mind games with him.
She says Morgan is out of her mind, she is a nut case and if he is in love with
her, he has lost his objectivity. She is never going to love him, she is
obsessed with Ridge. She tricked him into sleeping with her so she could get
pregnant. He knows all about that and why she tricked him. He knows about the
baby and all the hell Morgan has been put through because of them. Does he think
that justifies what Morgan is doing
and has done? No, but it explains it. She hopes he can explain that to a
judge and jury because that is what it is going to come down to one day. He will
gladly testify on Morganís behalf. She quips, he will be testifying on his own
behalf as Morganís accomplice. And Taylor will have to sit there and testify
against him too. She isnít exactly winning him over. She isnít trying too,
she thinks he is in way over his head. But it wouldnít be fair is she didnít
tell him this, it will all be over soon because Ridge has other clues. What
clues? She canít say. Tim claims this session is over and walks away.
Morgan gives Ridge a fresh cup of coffee. She doesnít think he slept last
night. He admits he didnít, he wanted to be there in case Steffy called back. Morgan
tries to help the issue, if it was Steffy, did she sound scared? Was she crying.
No, he says. Then she is safe wherever she is, so if she called once, she will
call again. He wonders why she doesnít pick up the phone and call again, then?
She thinks Steffy will, she obviously knows the phone number. This brings Ridge
to thinking, she couldnít possibly know the phone number, sheís too young.
Well, how did she make that call, Morgan asks. It couldnít have been her, what
is he thinking. Someone would have dialed the
number, Steffy could never have done that and she didnít say she was with
someone. She claims she doesnít want to bring him down but when she thinks
about this logically. That is his problem he canít think logically. Of course
he can, it is his daughter and he wants to believe more than anything that she
is alive, so does she. For Steffy to make that call she would have had to dial
the number and as smart as his Steffy was, she couldnít have dialed the
number. He thinks he is crazy to believe any of this, but he is in trouble, he
thought it was her and it couldnít have been. He is losing it. What is
happening to him. Morgan says it is not his fault, he hasnít done anything.
She knows Taylor must be going through hell, but she knows he loved that little
girl just as much. She thinks Taylor walked out on him in the most
irresponsible, insensitive way and it makes her so angry. The one time he needed
her, she bailed on him and that is why he is hearing these voices. If
she ever sees Taylor again, it is going to take everything she has not to
knock some sense into her. She hates her for what she has done to him. She
quickly apologizes for putting down Taylor as she rubs his shoulders. He wants
to drop the subject. She asks if the massage feels good. He wants to get back to
work. He has been staring at the phone for hours because he canít sleep so he
might as well get back to work. He picks up his sketch pad and notices in the
mirror how bad he looks. But, that is when he sees the picture from Steffy in
Morganís purse. He turns around and goes to the purse and pulls it out as
Morgan sits on the sofa working. As she rambles on about the cocktail dresses
they did, he comes behind her and grabs her by the throat.
Where is she? Where is his daughter? The End.
