…Rosanna answers the phone and it is Craig who unbeknownst to her is calling from the front area of the church. He says that Cabot has come down with something and he has no idea what. He hasn’t given the baby anything or taken his temperature. She finds that the hired help can take care of it. Craig would prefer that she come home but he doesn’t push. She tells him that she is with Paul being a good friend. Craig says that is okay. He knows that Rosanna would come home if she needed to. She hears in Craig’s voice that he would like her to come home and he finally admits it. She smiles to herself…

She can see that he is up to something and she can tell what it is now that she has quickly figured it out. “Enough…” There is nothing wrong with the baby and probably never was. She feels that the only reason that Craig called her there was because he knew that she was with Paul…

…Paul remembers seeing his wife holding another man in her arms at the church, with her knowing that he saw her…

Rosanna wants Craig to tell her the truth that he knew about her being with Paul and that he then decided to stage the child being sick to get her home. She knows him and he is very stubborn. He knows that is true, but nevertheless. Paul just lost the love of his life and she would like Craig to show sympathy over that. Craig has a hard time doing that as the man just embarrassed his bride to be and dumped her on the altar. Rosanna would never take time from her family to be with Paul. That is why she is there now. She will put her baby to sleep and then come to take some time with Craig. She assures Craig that he and the baby are the only loves in her life. Rosanna leaves the room with the child.

Hal didn’t get to search Dusty’s place like she wanted him to, Dusty wouldn’t allow him to search. Hal finds this funny that Molly wants Dusty caught for the murder. Molly says that she has had enough of Dusty getting away with crime. She leaves…

…Lucinda arrives at the station to tell Jack and Hal that she was going through papers and found an insurance policy that makes Dusty the beneficiary. That has to be an important piece of evidence and Hal has to look at it carefully. Hal looks at the papers to confirm what he has heard. Well, what do you know? A search warrant has found its way into Hal’s hands after all.

Paul finds that Dusty should have been a detective, as he thinks that he is so smart and knows everything about Rose’s case. Paul denies that he killed Rose again. He loved her. Dusty doesn’t believe that Paul loved her. Paul admits that Rose had a weakness for Dusty but that is all. Paul asks Dusty that if he is there to hit someone, he can go ahead. Jennifer interrupts and tells Dusty that he has to go now. Dusty knows that Paul may get away with this, but Dusty will know the truth. Dusty feels that no one else had a reason for killing Rose but Paul. Dusty warns Paul to stay out of his way. He gives that warning to Jennifer as well.

Craig comes to see Jack at the station and he asks about Paul still being free. He was at the church earlier and saw the man there. Jack wants to know what interest Craig has over this man. Craig feels that there is something that can put Paul in jail. Craig runs a paper and could put a bad spin on the way that the police have handled things. No wonder Jack hates the night shift. The cockroaches seem to come out at that time. Jack walks into a nearby office…

…Craig sees Carly coming into the station, and goes over to her to talk about his problem, as it is clear that Jack will not listen to him, or do what he should to get Paul off the streets... He tells her that he needs her right now. She looks blankly up into his eyes, having no idea what he is talking about.

Lily apologizes to her kids for crying in front of them the way that she has. She decides that they should go and get something to eat up at the house. The kids love that idea, but would prefer to go out to Al’s diner and have something there. Lily seems to love that idea. Lily looks for her keys and has her back turned when the door opens again…

…Lucinda returns and finds Lily with her kids. Lily asks Lucinda to take the kids to the house and then to the diner for treats. Lucinda will do that but she wants Lily to go with them. Craig talks to Carly about Rosanna and her close friend. Carly understands Rosanna and her friendship with Paul and she sees no reason for Craig to be acting this way. Carly knows that Craig is jealous and can’t handle that his wife has a friend, but she wishes that he would just grow up and deal with it. Rosanna means a great deal to Craig and Carly had no idea that he could become attached to another human being. Carly can’t tell Rosanna that she should stay away from Paul, as she doesn’t believe that Paul is dangerous. She will do nothing. Craig will settle for Carly calling him if she sees Rosanna with Paul. Carly just walks off…

…Carly comes to Jack telling him that she has information and she would like to tell him about it.

Paul explains to Jennifer that Dusty’s visit is the reason that he wanted to leave town. There are too many people like Dusty in town. Jennifer knows that her brother needs peace, but Paul knows that peace is impossible. He can’t make anything right. Jennifer knows that getting things right is going to take time but he is going to have to make a decision. He will either look backwards or move on. He hates her giving him a pep talk now. She wants to make him some soup now, but he can’t eat. He would like to be alone. Jennifer gets her coat and purse and she tells her brother that she cares for him and so do others. Paul only wants Rose back. Jennifer wishes that she could bring Rose back for him. She wants him to call if he needs her. She pecks him on the cheek and leaves.
