As The World Turns Update Wednesday 10/25/00

By Bethany

Camille and Bob discuss her departure from Oakdale and her future plans. Bob
tells her how much the hospital will miss her and that she will be a fine
addition to the hospital that she is transferring to in Chicago. He tells her
to never lose the thirst that she has in the quest for the truth. They
briefly discuss her part in the resolution of the Andy situation and after
declining to have coffee with him, she says a tearful good-bye while
explaining that she has no desire to see John.
In the hall, Ben and John come face to face. John tries to apologize for all
the misery that he caused Ben regarding Andy but it is more of a little too
much too late for Ben. He is sarcastic with John but John continues to tell
him that he will never question his medical expertise again and he is proud
to be on staff at a hospital with a doctor of his qualiber. Ben's attitude is
terse and one of thanks but no thanks. John leaves and Camille appears behind
a wall to make sure that the coast is clear. She and Ben have a tender
good-bye as she thanks him for all that he has done for her. Ben in return
thanks her for helping Isaac discover the truth. Isaac comes in and she and
him say good-bye after discussing the times that they have spent together.
She tells him that she hopes that he finds the right woman for him and he
returns the favor by wishing her the same.
Molly has another nightmare about the woman screaming behind the door. The
episode is torturous and Molly wakes up screaming. A frightened Abigail tries
to calm her mother down. Molly decides that it is time to face who she thinks
is behind the tape, Emily. She leaves a worried Abigail to find Emily and
confront her.
Upstairs in the penthouse, Katie and Craig are starting the work day. Craig
give Katie a few small tasks as a livid Katie tells him that he treats her
like nothing. Craig tells her that he cannot trust her that her running to
Margo at the police station has cost him big time. Furious, she leaves for
downstairs as Emily and Chris decide that Craig's tardiness is inexcusable
and prepare to leave. Craig comes in and invites them back to breakfast and
they decide to join him. He gives her an invitation to a 1920's Halloween
party that he is planning to have. But once they get back to the table, Craig
prepares to drop his bomb. He has hired another manager for the paper.
In the lobby, Katie orders a spring water with lemon. Absent-mindedly, she
takes the water from what she believes is the waiter. After several attempts
to get her order correct, he hands her some gin and lemon and when Katie
looks up, she comes face to face with Henry Coleman. What is he doing back in
town, she quizzes. Well, he has a new job in town and is there for a meeting
with his new boss. When her cell phone rings, Henry grabs it and it is the
dry cleaners instructing her that she can pick up Craig's suit. Henry is
delighted that he has found out that all her bragging about her new
high-power job is just that, she is a simple gofer.
As Craig prepares to enlighten Chris and Emily about the new employee to the
Intruder, Hal takes a seat close by and asks a waiter that he knows if Craig
has taken any more meetings that morning that he knows about. The waiter says
no.
Suddenly, Henry enters the room and the table that Craig, Emily, and Chris
are at with Katie hot on his heels. She is livid when she discovers that
Craig has hired him to work at the Intruder. But her fury is no match for
Chris and Emily's. Chris is so mad that he gets up and walks out and right
into Molly. They talk for a few minutes as Chris vents about the new manager
to the Intruder. Chris defends some of Emily's actions but when he mentions
that Emily does indeed have a copy of the Walsh crash black box, Molly
coyingly listens for more information. Chris says that she hasn't written a
story about the black box so he wonders what else she is planning to do with
it? Molly keeps a straight face but she let Chris know that she thinks that
Emily is obsessed with Jake and remarks that he seems to wish she would think
a little about him instead. Molly decides that maybe she and Chris should
keep Emily out of trouble.
Back at the table, a livid Emily, Craig and Henry argue about the paper.
Craig gives her no options, she either works with Henry or he will call in
the loan again and she will have nothing. Craig leaves and goes to the table
with Hal. He tells Hal about his new venture with the paper and wonders if
Hal isn't out of his usual eating place this morning. Barbara is meeting him
there, Hal counters. Hal wonders why Craig invited him to the Halloween
party. Craig tells him that he and Barbara will enjoy it.
Back at the table, it is all that Emily can do to contain herself with Henry.
He pitches several ideas to her but she tells him that he will never run her
paper and this our and us thing has to do. Furious, she leaves.
Back at the hospital, John asks Bob if Camille has left. Leave her alone, Bob
advises John. The argue about John's attitude towards Ben during the Andy
fiasco and when John says that it is over Bob enlightens him that it may be
over for Ben but the investigation into his involvement is just beginning.
After Emily leaves, Jake and Henry come face to face and Jake gives the
impression of making a proposition for Henry.
As Camille waits for her train, a determine John shows up at the train
station.
At the Lakeview, just when Emily thinks things couldn't get any worse, she
comes face to face with Molly.
