As The World Turns Update
Carly comes into Molly's
apartment and laments that she is either
loaded or broke. At the moment, she is the later. She needs some
money. Molly offers to help her. How much does she need. Does she
need money to buy some panty hose? No she needs $400.00 to go to
Vegas to stop Jack and Julia's wedding. No way, Molly tells her, she
doesn't finance lost causes. Carly pulls out all the stops and
explains that she is trying to prevent Julia from making a mistake.
This is even hard for Molly to digest. She finally relents and gives
Carly her credit card and tells her not to charge over $400.00. Carly
leaves to wreck havoc at the Synder-Lindsay wedding.
In Vegas, Jack and Julia search for the perfect chapel. Jack
momentarily wonders why he expected Julia to do this. The chapels are
so cheesy and when one of the woman managing it arrives, this point
is more than reinforced. She seems to be operating a few cards short
of a deck and to boot the reverend will be an Elvis impersonator that
will perform the ceremony when his show is over. Barbara and Hal
discuss the past few months. Hal expresses his undying love and
suggest that they renew their wedding vows. She agrees and leaves to
tell Julia. They talk about the importance of marriage and Julia
blames Carly for Jack's insistence that they marry here. Barbara
points out that the ceremony isn't what counts the most, it is the
marriage itself. Julia is happy that Barbara and Hal plan to join
At the paraplegic meeting, The group implores Andy to tell his story.
He probably can't tell them anything that they haven't heard before.
Andy wonders about that. Be honest, with them and himself, what is he
afraid of? They try to get Andy to prepare for his future. They point
out that until he takes control of the situation, he can't move on.
Over-whelmed Andy can't handle it any more and he leaves.
Back on the island, Simon and Lily are having trouble controlling
there emotions. Simon kisses Lily and she slaps him. Why did she do
that? She wants him to stop and he must stop, she informs him. They
an be nothing more than friends. Simon pledges his love and Lily begs
him to stop. Eventually, passion reaches a breaking point just as
Holden and Cooley make an awkward landing in the bay. Where is his
wife? Just over the hill. Holden leaves Cooley and his way off the
island to look for his wife. Just as Simon and Lily give in, Holden
comes up on them, at an awkward moment.
Back in Vegas, Elvis has arrived in the building. He starts the
ceremony. He gets to "Dearly Beloved" and Carly walks in and begs
Jack not to do it until they talk.
