Kendall lies on the couch where she seems to have been trying to sleep. She looks at the shell that her and Zach kept from the beach and hears flashbacks of Zach's voice and him talking about the shell. Kendall says she can't.

Ryan joins Greenlee outside and asks what she's doing out here. Greenlee says she couldn't sleep and heard a plane and wished it was Zach. She wanted everything to be a huge misunderstanding and for Zach to come home.

Kendall gets up and heads out of her home.

Greenlee tells Ryan that she's telling Kendall to open up but here she is rushing out at the sound of a jet engine. She suggests it might be crazy but Ryan says it isn't, she's just missing her friend and holding on.

Jack asks Erica how long she's been up. Erica says she doesn't know and Jack asks what she's looking at. Erica tells him it's a photo album she found and that Kendall and Zach were so happy. Erica says she told Kendall that she's strong and will survive. Jack says she was right, she will because she's Erica's daughter. Erica says Zach was the love of her life so her heart isn't just hurt or broken, it's shattered into a million pieces.

Jake and Amanda arrive at Kendall's and hug Bianca. They ask about Kendall but Bianca says she has no idea where she is.

Kendall is seated at Krystal's when Tad walks in. Tad tells her she probably wants to be alone but she says it is ok. Tad sits with her and says he hopes she knows how sorry he is about Zach. Kendall thanks him and says she woke up this morning and understood what needed to be done, not that she didn't get it, she was supposed to get off the couch, put herself together and deal for Zach and the boys but she took one look at that room. She told Erica and Bianca she would be there. Tad says Kendall probably wants to just drive anywhere else right now. Kendall agrees, as far away as possible because if she stays, she has to say goodbye and she can't say goodbye to Zach.

Ryan holds Spike and asks if he had a good sleep. Spike whispers wondering where daddy Zach is. Ryan says he got hurt and is in heaven now and knows it will be hard to understand. Greenlee tells him they are sad about it too. Ryan says they are here and he can ask questions about whatever he needs. Spike says but he can't come to daddy Zach. Ryan says Ian's probably missing him a lot too so he should go get ready. Ryan tells Greenlee that Spike wants to bring the stuffed animal that Zach gave him for Ian.

Amanda asks if Bianca tried calling Kendall but she just got voicemail. Bianca wants to let Jesse know what's going on but Jake says to give her time. Amanda adds that she's sure she's fine and Bianca thanks them. Amanda asks what they can do and Jake says to put them to work. Bianca gives them pictures of Zach to put around. Amanda says she still can't believe this is happening. Bianca sits down with a picture of Zach and says you don't make sense of it.

Tad assures Kendall that she should know how much Zach loves her. Tad reminds her of when they tracked her down because Zach would do anything for her. Kendall says Zach's father took Dixie from him and wants to know how she can survive. Tad says nobody gets through it easily. Kendall says it's hard for her to breathe at times. Tad lets her know that it won't always hurt like this and the heaviness in her chest that's crushing her soul will change. Kendall wants to know when but Tad can't tell her that. Tad says even after she says goodbye, she can still talk to Zach and she should because if she listens really hard, he can still talk to her. Kendall asks if he means prayer. Tad says whatever works and that with he and Dixie it was a star. Tad tells her a story about a star that they saw together and says he still talks to Dixie every single day and she still talks to him cause she'll always be in his heart.

Jack asks Erica if she's ready to go as she's looking out the window. Erica shakes her head and he tells her whenever she wants. Erica says the service is going to start soon and she has to be strong for Kendall and the boys but she's so scared. Jack wants her to talk to him. Erica tells him she was devastated when her mother died, she was in such a dark place and now sees that same look in Kendall's eyes but she can't lose her. Jack hugs her as Erica says she hates this. Jack knows she does.

Kendall tells Tad it's getting late and she needs to get back before Ian gets up to help him put on his outfit for the service. Tad gets up to walk her out. Kendall thanks him. Tad says anytime and gives her a kiss on the cheek. As they go to leave, Caleb arrives and tells Kendall he's very sorry. Tad and Kendall exit as Caleb walks on. Behind him, Asher arrives. Caleb asks how he's doing. Asher says ok I guess. Caleb asks if he wants to go for a ride. Asher asks why and Caleb says they should have a talk.

Ryan asks Greenlee what she is doing and she says she's trying to figure out what to say at the service, the right words to sum Zach up and express what he meant to her but she can't. Ryan says she will. Greenlee says the service is in less than an hour. Ryan tells her when she's in front of everyone who loved him, she'll know exactly what to say. Spike comes down the stairs and tells Ryan he wanted to wear his red shirt for daddy Zach. Ryan says Zach would be very proud of him and hugs him. Ryan picks him up and asks Greenlee if she's ready. Ryan, Greenlee, and Spike leave.

Kendall returns home and Bianca is happy to see her. Bianca asks if she's alright. Kendall sees the pictures of Zach for the memorial and tries not to cry. Kendall walks forward and looks at the picture. She turns and tells them it's beautiful, all of it. Kendall tells Bianca it's amazing and asks about the flowers. Bianca says mostly people sent them including Reese who is sorry she couldn't be there. The nanny brings Ian down and Kendall takes him asking if he just woke up. Jack and Erica arrive. Kendall tells Ian that he's probably wondering what everyone's doing here and she says everyone came over to talk about great daddy was and how much they loved him. Spike comes in and gives Ian his stuffed animal Gunther. Ryan and Greenlee come in behind him and Ryan tells her that Spike wanted Ian to have a little piece of Zach tonight. She says that's sweet and asks what Spike's going to do. Ryan shows her his shirt and says he's all taken care of.

Caleb and Asher arrive back at Caleb's and he asks about his leg. Asher says he isn't limping and Caleb was wondering if he's in any pain. Caleb looks at the picture of Palmer and says he was something, built an empire out of nothing. Asher asks if he brought him to talk about Palmer. Caleb says it's to talk about his mother. Asher says he doesn't know much about her. Caleb sits down and tells him she was beautiful and her family was from Cuba. Caleb explains that she loved dancing and music and loved to laugh. Asher says he can't do this. He turns but Caleb says she wanted to have a son, she wanted him.

Kendall sends Spike and Ian with Bianca. Erica asks how she's holding up. She says she's still standing so that's a start. Jack tells her it's a hell of a start. Kendall asks about Erica's charges with Liza. Erica says not to worry about any of that now. Kendall turns to Ryan and tells him Spike's like a whole new kid because of whatever he said to him. Ryan says he's his dad and they're all together in this, they're family. Greenlee tells her she can leave if it makes it easier for her but Kendall says Zach would want her here. Tad and Opal arrive. Opal gives Kendall a hug and a kiss as Kendall thanks her for being there. Opal says there's no where else she would rather be. Reverend Ricky Torres enters and Kendall thanks him for coming. He says it's his honor and asks if she's ready. Bianca and Erica join at her side and Kendall says she's ready.

Ricky begins speaking. He says he did not know Zach but after talking to Kendall, he realized a lot didn't know him well. He says Zach was a man of few words, quiet, extremely protective of his friends and family as well. When he asked why, Kendall didn't hesitate to explain that Zach was survivor that suffered terrible emotional abuse as a child followed by grief. He says Zach wasn't like most people, he staged kind of a rebirth and left his old life behind and embarked on a journey as a new man, a journey that led him to the love of his life, Kendall Hart. He explains it wasn't your typical love story, the road was rocky with more valleys than peaks but once they figured it out and settled into their family life, his rebirth was complete. He had a home, a family, and a future. He says he made an incredible life for himself, a life cut too short but not a life wasted.

Caleb explains to Asher that he was just getting out of law school when he met his mother. He was ambitious and wanted to make a name for himself, he got lost in his work and lost his mother. Asher asked if it hurt when she died, did she feel any pain.

Jake begins speaking and says as many know, he left Pine Valley years ago to work with Doctors without Borders but got kidnapped and thought he was done but Zach had a plan, he set up a rescue mission and got him back home. Jake says you'd think he'd be grateful cause Zach saved his life but he wanted to be back in Africa doing his work. He says he had a reality check and was eternally grateful for Zach because without him he wouldn't have met his wife and had his son. Jake says Zach was a man of few words but when he did speak, he chose the right words.

Tad says he was able to work with Zach more than once, he helped him save the love of his life. Tad says Zach was smart and loyal and there's no one he'd rather be in the trenches with.

Opal says Zach was one of Myrtle's favorite people and anyone of Myrtle's favorite people is fine by her. Opal says Myrtle had a special friendship with Zach and when she passed, she left a mighty big void for Zach. Opal says they're probably together now enjoying a great time.

Erica says when her father died, everything fell a part. She broke her sobriety and ran from everyone and everything she knew, but luckily she ran into Zach's casino and he recognized her right away and recognized the pain that she was going through and didn't ask any questions or lecture her. Zach jut kept it short and sweet, well maybe not that sweet as he said "You are a complete waste of sequins and feathers." Erica says it was just what she needed to hear and who she needed to hear it from, Zach saved her life.

Greenlee says Zach was amazing in the bomb shelter while she was completely freaking out. He kept her mind off everything, the snakes, claustrophobia and running out of air. Greenlee says Zach did it by getting her drunk, giving her detailed play by plays of hockey games and telling her bad jokes. Greenlee says the worst one was the red ship and the blue ship collided, and the cruise was marooned. Greenlee says Zach was tough, really tough, not someone you wanted as an enemy but when you're in a corner, he was there 100%.

Bianca says they shared some intense moments but the night Gabby was born topped them all there in the middle of a tornado with debris everywhere and most people would have been terrified like she was but deep down she knew it would be okay because Zach was there. Bianca says a lot of people had their lives saved by Zach and he saved hers too but he also gave her life, the most precious gift there is, he gave her Gabby.

Ryan says they certainly had their ups and downs to put it mildly. He says many times they couldn't even be in the same room let alone call each other friends but then Spike was born and Zach had his son's back from the very beginning. Ryan says Zach refused to let doctors deliver Spike prematurely so that he'd make it, he had so much faith in Kendall to pull through and she did and so did their son. Kendall nods and wipes away tears. Ryan says over the years, he called Zach a lot of things and a lot of them were not so nice, most of them he wishes he could take back but he was always proud to share the title of Spike's father with him and he always will.

Kendall looks at the picture of Zach and says I love you. She says the first time she said that to him, she could not believe it and was sure she'd never say it again because love never lasted so she stopped trying or atleast tried to stop trying but he wouldn't let her. Kendall says it was crazy because he was just as scared as she was. Kendall says Zach decided she was worth the risk and convinced her to take that risk with him. She thanks him and turns back to everyone. Kendall tearfully says they held hands and took a leap, they got married against all odds. Kendall says Zach helped bring Spike safely into this world against odds, he gave Ian the strength to keep fighting to survive against all odds, everything they did was against all odds but somehow they made it work. Kendall says it wasn't easy but it was worth it. Kendall says someone recently asked her, what she thought Zach would want. She turns back to the picture and says she knows he'd want her to be strong and to keep on going so she will because she has to for the boys. Kendall says she won't think of Zach as gone forever, he's just taken another journey across the sea and she'll be here waiting for him. Kendall tells the photo of Zach, I will never stop loving you.

Caleb explains to Asher that he hadn't seen his mother for some time and he didn't know she was pregnant. She came looking for him, then there was the explosion. By the time, he got to her, she was in shock and in labor with no way to get her out so he delivered Asher himself. He says he was in a hurry to come out, he held him up for her to see and she smiled. Caleb says he's never seen anyone so happy to see their baby. Caleb tells him she was smiling and looking at him when she died. Asher gets teary eyed and smiles.

Everyone at Zach's memorial lights candles for Zach. Bianca holds the picture of Zach for Spike and Ian to kiss. Kendall stands and looks to the picture and says "Goodbye, Zach. Always, only you."
