Kendall and JR are kissing in the park.  It was totally by accident that they found each other, yet there they are.  She was in the park earlier talking to Aidan and was left feeling sorry for herself again.  She heard JR calling for his dealer. She came out of the bushes and warned him that he shouldn’t try to solve his problems this way.  He didn’t want to take advice from her of all people.  She has screwed up her life enough and shouldn’t be trying to counsel anyone.  She told him that Ryan would be unhappy with his regressing this way.  He gets angry for her bringing Ryan up and reminds her that she was the one that caused him to run off.  That really hurt her and she began to cry.  JR realized that he overstepped his bounds and he said that he was sorry.  He touched her shoulders and she turned to him and that was how the kissing started for them.  He does have some feeling for her as she is the only one that acts like a friend to him. He did have caring feelings for her, but nothing like this.  They keep kissing and soon Kendall stops, not sure what she is doing. This has to be wrong.  It feels good, but holy cow! She can’t do it.  She tells him that this never happened.  She wants them both to forget that they ever kissed like that.  What is the big deal, JR wonders?  She thinks that there is a law about this, and she is sure that she is breaking it somehow. She is going to get out of there and make like this never happened.  JR is fine with what has happened and would like more of it.  He holds on to her arm.  He is not letting her go this way. She is not going to get involved with some kid. She was just crying over Ryan and he was helping her feel better.  He understands what just happened and is glad that they met up in the park. She tells him that when she is mad at herself, she beats up on the people around her.  She doesn’t want to drag a kid into her horrible life.  JR thinks that he has perfect control of his life.  There were two of them kissing. She wasn’t making him do anything.  One of the best things about Ryan was that he could read people and he liked JR a lot and she can see why.  She tells him that this can  never happen again.  He jokes with her about it and soon they are smiling.  He tells her, tough.  Whatever the reason for them getting together that night, it was the first time that he has felt anything good.  He wants her to think about that before she beats herself up. She agrees that kissing him did make her feel good. She is beautiful to him. She really is.  He touches her face and she smiles.

Brooke is home alone trying to come to terms with what she has done, and Tad walks in with Jamie.  They try to head up the stairs quickly, but Brooke sees them.  Jamie has been beat up and has a black eye.  Brooke is horrified and wants to know what happened.  He was fighting to protect his mother’s reputation, it seems.  There were some kids saying that Brooke lied about knowing that Maria was alive and that she was responsible for Maddie gone missing.  Brooke is hurt by hearing this and seeing her son in a manner such as this.  She guesses by just looking at his face that things were much worse than he is saying.  He thinks the world of his mother and knows in his heart that she wouldn’t do anything like that ever.  Jamie took care of things his way and a black eye was the result of it.  Brooke admits that she did lie to marry Edmund.  Jamie is shocked by what he is hearing.  So that must mean that the other things that the kids were saying was true too.  How could she do that?  She did know that Maria was alive she says and all the rest of it. She found out and didn’t want that to be true, so she just kept the secret to herself thinking that she could live with herself. Jamie is furious with her now.  How could she do that? That isn’t the way that his mother usually acts.  He wouldn’t ever think that she could have done a thing like that.  What about Maddie and Sammy?  Didn’t she care that she was hurting two little kids that missed their mother?  She was going to steal those kids and make them her own.  He can’t believe that she did this!  The kids were right to beat him up.  Now she has made a fool of the both of them with her actions.  She is his mother and she isn’t supposed to be capable of doing things like this.  Jamie runs off and Tad runs after him.  Brooke knows that she is not the one that should be talking to him now.  She has really made a mess of it and she is sure that he will take a while to forgive her for this. 

David comes to see Maria at the hospital.  He didn’t think that there would be a posse there, but there is.  He finds that Anna and Jackson are already there.  Jackson starts in on him thinking that he is there to see Anna.  He has seen Anna fall apart on several occasions thanks to this man and he is not going to let David hurt her now.  She knows that he is there to see Maria and not her.  She knows as he is still into this up to his neck.  He is squirming around now doing his damage control as he always does…

Isabella comes to see Maria at the hospital and learns from Edmund that she can’t see the woman right now.  They are running tests on her to see why she passed out when Edmund was talking to her at Wildwind.  Isabella wishes that she had been there to take care of her daughter in the first place.  She knows that she could have helped somehow.  Her daughter has been alive for 5 years and she didn’t even know it.  Life is so unfair.  She would like to put her arms around her daughter again and welcome her back.  He warns her that Maria will not recognize her and that may be difficult for her to deal with. It is going to be hard for Mrs. Santos but anything is easy now that her daughter is back with her family and the man that she loved so long ago. She is still Maria that they know, but she doesn’t know that.  She is a different person now.  They have to talk their time with her as she gets frustrated by trying to learn about herself.  Edmund sends her outside to get some air, but she will be back soon to see her daughter then.  Edmund goes over to Aidan and sits with him.  To Edmund he is just some other guy that is there waiting for news on someone that he obviously cares about.  He doesn’t know the man, as far as he knows anyway.  He sits beside him.  It is really hard waiting like that to hear news when you are at the hospital.  Edmund has no idea that Aidan is there to see his wife.  Both of them think that they are there for different patients.  Aidan hopes that ‘she’ is alright.  Edmund hears him talking to himself and can sympathize with the man.  He too hopes that ‘she’ is al right, too.

 Jake comes out and heads over to where both men are sitting and Aidan jumps up and goes to Jake meeting him halfway to get news.  Edmund sees Jake too, but is behind Aidan in getting to him.  Edmund hears Aidan’s question to Jake.  Is Maria Grey alright?  Edmund can’t believe his ears.  “Who the hell are you? “ he asks…  Jake can see that there is some confusion with the two men.  He gives a quick update on Maria’s condition and leaves the two men.  Edmund and Aidan talk and connect on how they both know Maria.  Aidan explains how he has been taking care of Maria.  Edmund remembers being at the Pine Cone Inn that same night.  Aidan remembers him but didn’t know that he was her husband.  He didn’t go to the authorities because she didn’t want him to.  She was scared.  Edmund thinks that Aidan handled this wrong.  Aidan criticizes him for calling out an APB.  That terrified Maria when she heard that cops were looking for her…

David admits that he is at the hospital to see Maria.  He needs to speak to her.  David doesn’t want his wife to be hurt.  Anna wants to go to work now.  David tells her that he is sorry.  Jack finds that really big of him. David had no idea that this would have involved Anna in any way. He can’t believe that she would destroy their marriage over something that happened a long time ago. He wouldn’t do anything to lose her.  Maria was only a patient to him. She is his whole life and she is his reason for living. He wouldn’t hurt her for anything.  Jack pushes David and David gets angry. Jack takes Anna and turns to leave.  David pleads with her again and she stops to listen to him.  He would like to tell her how much she means to him and how much he loves her…

Frank comes to see Maria and tells her that she is in the hospital.  Frank fills in some blanks and soon she remembers what has happened.  All her tests look good…  She stares at him not sure if she knew him or not.  He assures her that they have never met.  Edmund is there and would like to see her.  Frank gets up to go and get him, but Maria tells him to wait…

Maddie and Sammy come to the hospital with Frank to see their mother.  Maddie recognizes Aidan and the kids go and talk to him.  Edmund thinks that Frank did the right thing by bringing the kids to see their mother.  Edmund looks over at the kids and he interrupts them talking to Aidan for a moment.  Jake comes out and Jake says that Maria can have visitors now.  Edmund gets ready to go in but learns that the person that Maria would like to see is Aidan…

Anna asks Jack to leave so that she can talk to David.  He knows that he doesn’t deserve her, but he loves her.  His words come so easily to him.  The past 24 hours has been hell for him thinking that he can live with her.  He wants her to understand, but she thinks that he only wants a free pass.  She is a playmate to him.  He doesn’t live by the rules and he knows that.  He swears that he is changing rapidly. When he found out that she filed for divorce, part of him died.  He is sorry for what he has done to them.  He will continue to be sorry for what has happened.  He will do anything to make this up to her.  She tells him that there isn’t anything that he can do now.  She says that there is nothing left for them.  David can feel that there is still love between them.  He wants her to look him in the eyes and tell him that she doesn’t love him anymore.  He will spend the rest of his life trying to make things up to Maria and her family.  He needs hope to keep him going.  If she can tells him that they are going to work things out, that will be enough for him.  He will wait a lifetime for her.  He needs to know that there is a chance for them.  “Tell me that it isn’t over.”…

Aidan follows Jake into the room where Maria is staying.  Frank watches them walk off and Frank can’t believe that Edmund is okay with that.  There is nothing that Edmund can do about that.  Maddie is worried that her mother is going to go away from them again.  Edmund assures her that mommy is going to be right in their hearts forever.  Sammy is upset that Maddie got to see their mother and he didn’t.  Edmund tells him that he will see her soon enough.  Maddie asks if they can see Brooke since Maria isn’t available. She begs him to call her up…Aidan goes to see Maria and she tells him that she can’t get used to Edmund being her husband.  Aidan tells her that Edmund is very unhappy. She tells him that Edmund is outside waiting for her.  Aidan stands to go and get Edmund, but Maria calls out to him to wait.  Aidan is puzzled by her behavior and turns to face her once again.  She tells him that she can deal with this right now.  He was so happy to see her and have her back with him.  He looks at her as if she is the other half of him.  She has no idea what he is feeling.  He looks at her with so much love.  Aidan knows that Edmund isn’t going to push her. She would like for everyone to leave her alone. She could have left but she stayed for the kids, even though she doesn’t remember the kids. She doesn’t feel like the kids are hers.  That is proof to Aidan that she is remembering her life.  He is sure that in time, her feelings for Aidan will come back.  What if they don’t?  Every time that she sees that poor man, he looks at her with his heart in his eyes and she has nothing for him.  Aidan knows that some of this is going to come back to her. She wants Aidan to do her a favor. She wants him to promise her something…

Edmund tries to explain to the kids that calling Brooke is not a good idea.  Edmund can’t find a reason not to call Brooke, so he tells them that he will call.  If that makes the kids feel better, then he will call her.

Isabella comes to see Brooke at her house.  Brooke has a question and has asked the woman to come and see her.  Isabella can guess that the question that she has for her is about Maria.  Brooke is surprised at her guess being so right on.  She tells Brooke that Maria is in the hospital and they don’t know why she is ill.  She seems like she was going to be alright.  Isabella knows that things didn’t have to be this way for Maria.  Brooke has no excuse for what she did.  Isabella learns that what she has been hearing is true. She looked into Maria’s eyes and knew who she was.  Brooke admits to the truth.  Isabella hauls back and slaps her hard in the face.  Tad appears.  Isabella doesn’t care how she feels.  How desperate was she to marry Edmund.  Tad comes to Brooke’s defense.  Isabella remembers the night at SOS and the way that they were talking about Maria being dead. Brooke knew the whole time that Maria was alive.  She knew and she lied.  Brooke had no excuse for what she did.  Isabella has a question for her.  She is a mother and she has lost a child too and she knows what that pain is.  How could she stand in front of Isabella and have the power to take that pain away, and then do nothing.  Brooke doesn’t understand herself either.  Isabella says that Brooke should have died instead of Maria.  “You should have died!” She turns and goes running out the door.  Tad closes the door after her and asks Brooke if she is alright.  Brooke knows that the woman is right. She should have died on that plane.  Tad tries to make her see sense.  She will be happy again.  She would settle for just being forgiven.  Tad knows that day will come.  How are Mateo and the kids going to forgive her?  No one in the town is going to trust her again.  Tad tells her that in time, people will forgive her.  He makes her sit down.  Her son has been hurt and that has been her fault.  Tad knows that boy is tough like his mother.  Jamie is upset but he is going to make it.  She thought that Vanessa was bad, but she is no better.  Jamie has come downstairs and hears Tad talking to Brooke.  Tad is telling her that she will get over this.  Brooke thinks that she doesn’t have it in her to start again. She would like to go somewhere and hide.  Tad tells her to get some sleep. She can’t sleep. She just thinks about what she did and should have done. She can’t stop.  Jamie leaves the room as silently as he came.  Tad gets her a drink so that she can calm down.  He has poured her a shot. What is going to help to take this pain away?  The phone rings and Tad answers.  Edmund would like to talk to Brooke.  She takes the phone when she learns that it is Edmund on the phone.  He needs her to come to the hospital.  She thinks that she shouldn’t come, but then she hears that Maddie needs to see her.  She tries to explain but Edmund sharply hangs up on her.  Brooke tells Tad what Edmund has said to her and Tad tells her to forget it…

David wants Anna to tell him that they have a chance, but she just tells him that she needs him to move out or she will.  He agrees to leave. She begs him to leave her alone.  If they love each other, they should be able to get over this.  He believes that and if he didn’t, he would go crazy.  He walks away from her.  Anna asks to use a phone and moves to the counter where it is.  She makes a call, “Is he in?…Can I speak with him?”  She can see the doctor right away. She goes to his office and asks him to give her a pregnancy test.  If she is pregnant, she would like to know what her options are…

Tad arrives at the hospital and finds David standing there.  He puts his hands on the man to hold him right where he wants him…Maria is talking to Aidan and asking him a very personal question.  Edmund has been waiting to see his wife for the longest time now.  He is wondering what is going on in that room with Aidan and Maria.  He goes over to the door and pushes it open slightly.  He hears what Maria is saying to Aidan. She is telling him that he is the only person that she trusts.  She wants him to tell her that no matter what happens to her, he will not leave her and will always be there in case she needs a friend.  Edmund looks crushed.
