Episode #12149 ~ Victor lays down the law. Sharon gives Adam a reality check. Kyle and Tara's day out takes a turn.

Provided By Suzanne

Victoria: You know, part of me still doesn't believe that we're just a few signatures away from making this merger official.

Ashland: Exciting, isn't it?

Victoria: Yes! I feel there should be bells and whistles and confetti.

Ashland: I'll give you bells and whistles.

[ Both chuckle ]

Nikki: Well, are you ready to take this public, or will you still be hiding in the shadows?

Victoria: Are you referring to the merger or our relationship?

Nikki: You tell me.

Chelsea: Nothing would help my mother heal faster than being able to spend some time with connor.

Adam: [ Sighs ] Look -- we've been more than fair with you. Victor's already setting things in motion with your attorney and dr. Hedges. They're gonna petition the court and tell them that you are ready to leave the hospital.

Chelsea: And I'm grateful for that.

Adam: And once you're released, you can spend all the time in the world with anita. But taking my son out of state? There is no way that that is happening.

Chelsea: Adam, I already promised you, I would never go on the run with him again. And I meant it. You can call us. You can call us anytime you want to check in.

Adam: That's not good enough.

Chelsea: Okay, I'll bring our old babysitter with us. She can report back to you every single thing we're doing.

Adam: This isn't just about whether or not I trust you. Connor just moved into the ranch. He's learning to ride horses. I don't want to take that away from him. And I'm not gonna debate this while he's waiting. So, the answer is no.

Sharon: I'm not buying that you came in here just because you got a tip about a crime.

Rey: Oh, no, it's true. Rumor has it that a police detective wants to steal some time with his beautiful wife.

Sharon: That sounds like a potential felony.

Rey: It's very serious.

Sharon: Then I'm going to pour you coffee on the house while you investigate.

Rey: There you go.

[ Cellphone buzzes ]

Sharon: Oh. Abby, hi. Mariah? No, I haven'T. Why? Well, she didn't say anything about that to me. Alright. Let me know.

Rey: Everything okay?

Sharon: Abby's worried because no one's seen mariah, who's apparently left town on a last-minute business trip without saying anything to tessa or abby about it.

Rey: Hmm. I assume she's concerned because of the surrogacy.

Sharon: Of course. I know abby's been a little overprotective of mariah, but, still, I think it's strange mariah would leave without saying anything to anyone.

Jack: Can I get a check, please? I still don't think you and i are a good idea.

Sally: Fine! Yep. I hear you. I won't argue that. You and I are not happening. It's the worst idea ever.

Jack: [ Laughs ]

Sally: And, you know, but, you know, casual evening of drinking and chatting seems harmless.

Jack: Yeah, yes. Something like this is alright. I would just never use the word "harmless" when it comes to you.

Sally: Well, that's okay, because harmless is boring.

Jack: Yeah, we could definitely do something like this again, if you like.

Sally: Yes, please.

Jack: Thank you.

Sally: Hi. Do you have to rush off?

Jack: I just finished a meeting. My work here is done. Why do you ask?

Sally: Well, I have already had the best day, and I came here to celebrate. If you could spare the time, you're more than welcome to join me.

Jack: You've had the job running jcv for, what, half a minute? What exactly have you done?

Sally: Well, I will tell you all about my big day, but it will cost you a drink to find out. Is olay better than your clean beauty?

Chelsea: I'm a good mom, adam. You know that. Whatever you may think of me, taking care of connor is where i shine. I need to feel like his mother.

Adam: Yeah, and you can spend as much time as you want with him -- in genoa city. But I cannot allow you to take him with you. So, I'm sorry.

Chelsea: [ Sighs ] I understand. Thank you for considering it and helping to arrange my release. I realize that, all things considered, [Sighs] This is the best I can hope for right now.

Adam: I'm afraid so.

Chelsea: [ Sighs ]

Kyle: He's been in my life less than a month, and he's already changed it so much. It blows my mind to think about him learning to crawl and walk and talk, and I -- and I wasn't there for any of it.

Jack: You didn't know!

Kyle: And now that I do, I'm gonna be there for the rest of it and not just playtime in the park, but the bad days and the messes. I want to be a part of it all.

Jack: I felt the same way when I learned you were my son. You feel that inextricable bond, all the joys of fatherhood. I know it's more complex than that, but, ultimately, the only thing that's important is what's best for the boy.

[ Footsteps approaching ]

Tara: You let harrison get away without cleaning up his toys? You're spoiling him.

Kyle: Well, I can't help it. He looks up at me with those big eyes, and I want to let him get away with everything.

Tara: Oh.

Kyle: Hey, no, no. You don't have to pick that up.

Tara: Oh, trust me. You're gonna want an extra set of eyes because if we leave even one of these pieces on the floor, our bare feet will find them in the middle of the night.

Kyle: Then I welcome the help.

Tara: You better enjoy all this free time he has now because he's gonna be going to school in a few weeks.

Kyle: Isn't he too young?

Tara: For preschool? No way. He's dying to go. And I've been looking at some afternoon activities -- t-ball. What do you think?

Kyle: All the energy he has, he'll love it.

Tara: I used this address on the applications. I hope that's okay.

Kyle: Of course it is. I assume you'll want to move out soon, have more privacy, but i want to let you know that no one is in a hurry for you or harrison to leave.

Tara: Well, I don't really want to go just yet, either. At a time like this, family is exactly what our little boy needs.

Kyle: I couldn't agree more.

Adam: So, where are we, in terms of chelsea getting released?

Victor: Let me put it this way. I've called in some favors to speed things along.

Adam: Has chelsea's attorney gone in front of a judge?

Victor: Yeah. He went to court this morning, and he also read the very favorable report that dr. Hedges had written about chelsea's treatment, that it was very successful.

Adam: Good. What about the D.A.?

Victor: Michael baldwin agreed to have her released, as well -- however, with stringent restrictions. Namely, that whenever she leaves town, she does it only with a police escort.

Adam: Chelsea fully understands that she needs to toe the line, and she's agreed to follow the rules to the letter. She has no desire to fight us on any of the requirements.

Victor: And you don't think that's a little suspicious?

Adam: I know that you have your doubts, but you couldn't keep her locked up there indefinitely.

Victor: Well, I'm not so sure about that. In retrospect, I think it would have been a good option, especially now that her devious mother is in the mix.

Adam: I had the same concerns. So, I called the facility, and i checked with more than one person that anita is being treated there. Her mother did, in fact, break her hip.

Victor: Has it occurred to you that the mother might have convinced the hospital to be in on the con?

Adam: If it's a scam, she's not getting anything out of it. Connor is staying with us. Chelsea's traveling alone.

Victor: I wish that you had not taken connor to see his mother.

Adam: Well... he needed to see his mother. It's good for him... for both of them.

Victor: Son, let me warn you. This is no time for sentimentality, no time for generosity, no time for weakness. You're dealing with two of the most devious women around -- chelsea and her mother. Ready to shine from the inside out?

Kyle: Is the floor safe enough for bare feet?

Tara: It's all clear. Next time, we are getting harrison to help us.

Kyle: I will! Even if it breaks my heart to tell him no, we can't watch cartoons until he's cleaned up his mess, I will start preparing my heart now.

Tara: You're doing that thing again.

Kyle: Which one?

Tara: The one where you tell jokes to cover up how you really feel.

Kyle: Tsk.

Tara: Have you heard from summer since she left?

Kyle: Not a word.

Tara: [ Sighs ] I'm sorry to hear that. If it's any consolation, a breakup is much cheaper than a divorce.

Kyle: Huge consolation! Thank you.

[ Laughs ]

Tara: I mean, maybe she just needs the dust to settle. You could still end up being friends.

Kyle: Definitely not anytime soon. We've broken up and had too many reconciliations. The last time we got together, we said it was forever. I guess this is the end.

Tara: Picture this. It's a few months from now.

Kyle: Okay.

Tara: And summer is here for a visit, and you run into her at crimson lights. What do you do?

Kyle: Order a coffee with room for milk, and a cinnamon roll. Make the smallest of small talk and come home to harrison, with whom I happily share the cinnamon roll.

Tara: [ Chuckles ] Okay, as you leave with your coffee and roll, do you look back at her one last time, because she still holds a special place in your heart?

Kyle: Hopefully not.

Tara: I know how hard it is to move on. What I had with ash, it wasn't as intense as what you had with summer, but it was still love. I mean, we shared a vision of the future that I truly thought was meant to be.

Kyle: [ Scoffs ]

Tara: But apparently not. And he showed me so much of the world. Now I have to build a future for myself and harrison while dealing with ashland's illness and [Sighs] The giant shadow he's going to leave behind when he passes away.

Kyle: Guess we're in the same boat, then -- rebuilding our lives. Only right now, I'm still working it out moment to moment, day to day.

Tara: Well, I happen to know the perfect way to fill tons of moments and to make us forget our heartache right now. And that is a picnic in the park with our happy, little boy.

Kyle: Sign me up.

[ Laughs ]

Tara: Yeah.

Ashland: You know about the merger.

Nikki: I do, indeed.

Victoria: She is my right hand.

Ashland: Well, as coo of my company's other half, I'm thrilled to have your trust and discretion.

Nikki: Well, I'm not a big fan of secrets. I've seen the damage they can do. But I understand this is a special situation. So, it's best to keep it under wraps until the details have been locked in.

Victoria: Thanks, mom.

Ashland: You've been the conscience behind two captains of industry. You are the power behind the throne. That's one of the many reasons why I see nothing but an upward trajectory with you two powerhouses leading the way.

Nikki: Well, flattery may get you everywhere with her, but you're gonna have to try a little harder with me.

Ashland: Well, if you've heard anything about me, you know I never flatter. I call 'em the way I see 'em. That's me.

[ Cellphone buzzes ] If you ladies will excuse me, i have something to attend to.

Victoria: Is everything alright?

Ashland: Couldn't be better. I get to spend this lovely afternoon with my son. Nice to see you.

Jack: So, what is this magnificent thing you've done that is gonna change the course of fashion history?

Sally: Okay, well, I may have oversold it, but even low-key coups deserve some recognition.

Jack: Let's hear it.

Sally: Okay, so, there's an actress that I knew back in los angeles that's on a hot, new tv show. So, I hit her up on social media, and I got her to post a selfie in a jcv ensemble personally styled by yours truly.

Jack: And you insisted that she tag jcv, right?

Sally: Naturally.

Jack: So, how many hits?

Sally: The last I checked, it was 50,000, but it is still early, and it's only a fraction of her followers.

Jack: Not too shabby!

Sally: I know it's not like a game changer, but if I keep scoring bigger victories every day, pretty soon jcv will be up there with the greats. But, most importantly, I just want to prove myself to lauren because I know she's gone out on a limb to get me this opportunity.

Jack: I know lauren is gonna be very impressed with everything you've done.

Sally: Well, now, this is the part where we're supposed to be toasting to me and my bright future, but I couldn't keep my mouth shut long enough for you to buy me a drink. So, if you're interested, would you care to still join me?

[ Cellphone buzzes ]

Jack: Bear with me. I'm sorry. You'll have to forgive me.

Sally: Don't tell me you got a better offer.

Jack: Yes, I did.

Sally: Okay.

Jack: It's a picnic in the park with harrison.

Sally: Well, he's a lucky guy, getting to hang out with you in all that sunshine while i get to go back to my cave for a few more hours.

Jack: Well, you're in charge now. There's a price to be paid for being at the top.

Sally: You know, I think I'm gonna get as much sunshine as i can before I have to go back inside for the rest of the day. Do you mind if I walk with you, and then I'll just be on my merry way?

Jack: After you.

Sally: Okay.

Sharon: [ Gasps ] Chelsea, oh, my god. You scared me half to death. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me,

Jack: How are my two favorite guys?

Kyle: Hey, harrison. Say hi to grandpa.

Harrison: Hi, grandpa!

Jack: Hi, there. I heard there was talk of a picnic today.

Tara: Harrison said you had to be here.

Kyle: Harrison, want to go on the swings? Alright, let's go.

[ Chuckles ] I'm watching! Hey, dad? Let'S...

Tara: Sally, nice to see you. Wish I'd known you were coming. Mrs. Martinez only packed enough for four.

Sally: That's okay. I'm not staying.

Tara: What a shame.

Kyle: So, sally...

Jack: Don't read too much into it, okay?

Kyle: That's what you said the last time you started dating her.

Jack: This is not a date. It's just I'm not focusing on the worst. I'm keeping myself open to happiness. I know it's important to protect yourself, but if it keeps you from enjoying the good times, something is off.

[ Laughs ]

Sally: So, how's it going with the newly single kyle?

Tara: He's brokenhearted. Just -- I feel awful for him.

Sally: That's it? You're not doing anything to turn the situation to your advantage?

Tara: I'd ask how things are going with jack, but his smile speaks for itself.

Sally: It is slow going, but that is okay, because I enjoy every moment that I spend with him.

Sharon: Chelsea, I... I didn't know that you were released from the hospital.

Chelsea: I didn't escape, in case that's what you're wondering.

Sharon: No! I didn't mean anything like that. I was just saying that -- oh, rey! Hey. Look who's here.

Rey: Hey, chelsea. I came over to tell you. I just got word from the D.A.'S office that chelsea's been released on convalescent leave.

Sharon: Oh. Well, that was fast.

Chelsea: It's all very conditional. I have to agree to attend outpatient therapy. There are a ton of stipulations, but it's all worth it because I'm free. It's good timing, too, because my mom broke her hip, and I have to go take care of her.

Sharon: Well, I hope she'll be alright.

Chelsea: From everything I've heard, her doctors say that she's gonna make a full recovery.

Rey: I'm glad you'll be able to help her, but I'm still curious why you came over here.

Chelsea: This is my first stop. I need to say how deeply sorry I am.

Rey: You don't need to apologize to me again.

Chelsea: Actually, I need to make amends to sharon... if she'll let me.

Sharon: Are you sure you're ready for that?

Chelsea: Yeah, I'm -- I'm a little nervous, but I have to do this if I'm going to be able to move on.

[ Clears throat ] And it's a difficult conversation to have because i now realize adam's always loved you more than he could ever love me.

Sharon: Chelsea, I-I really do think you're mistaking --

Chelsea: No, it's true. It's a twisted, pathetic, one-sided love that he has for you, but I think that's the only way adam knows how to love. So...

Sharon: Are you trying to blame all of your actions on adam?

Chelsea: No, I am not, but i do think it's all related. Even after all of my therapy, i still don't know what triggered me -- the aneurysm or my broken heart. And I know you can relate to that, sharon, because adam's done terrible things to you, just like he's done to me.

Sharon: Okay, I'm sympathetic to everything that you've been through, and I wish that I had tried to get you outside help instead of handling your case myself, but, chelsea, you chose to do what you did. And if you didn't feel like you were getting the love at home that you needed, you could have left adam instead of striking out.

Chelsea: I realize that now. I wasn't well. I wasn't seeing things the way they really were. I was wrong. And I will regret what I did until the day I die.

[ Sighs ] You're a great man, rey, and i hate what I did to you, what i did to both of you. And I know it sounds crazy, but I feel like I've woken up from this rage-induced haze. Now I'm -- I'm facing my punishment.

Sharon: I'm not sure what you mean. You're released from the hospital. You don't have to go to prison, and I thought that was because everybody agreed that it was best for you to just let you heal rather than make you face more consequences.

Chelsea: Adam and victor -- I'm still at their mercy, especially where connor is concerned.

Sharon: Well, they can't keep him from you.

Rey: I thought adam already brought connor over to see you.

Chelsea: He did, and it was amazing. But adam and victor, they're still calling all the shots. I mean, they decide when I can see my son and when I can'T. They [Sighs] Forced me to agree to allow connor to move to the ranch. I-I can't even bring him to visit his grandmother in the hospital. When I'm away, connor will be indoctrinated in the newman way. They'll be able to spread whatever lies they want about me. Turn his mind against me.

[ Sighs ] Once again, I'm not in control of my own life. I feel like I'm back in that wheelchair.

[ Sighs ]

[ Sniffles ]

From the very first touch,

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Sharon: Thank you for your apology, chelsea. I know it couldn't have been easy.

Chelsea: Well, nothing is these days, but thank you for listening.

Sharon: Um, good luck to you. I mean it. I hope you will continue to get well.

Chelsea: Well... that went better than expected.

[ Chuckles ]

Rey: So, where do you go from here?

Chelsea: Tsk. Well, I mean, there's nothing left for me at the penthouse except memories of how my mind cracked, and I made the worst mistake of my life.

Rey: But if you could go anywhere?

Chelsea: I'd go see my mom. And I'd bring connor with me, of course.

[ Sighs ] Stay until she's self-sufficient, readjust to life without a constant reminder of adam and how everything went wrong.

Rey: That'll be good for you, hunkering down in an adam-free zone.

Chelsea: Mm. Bet you wish you could get away from him, too, huh?

Rey: I wish you the best, chelsea.

Chelsea: Thank you, rey. Means a lot to hear you say that, especially after all i did. One day, I hope I can find a way to repay you.

Rey: You just do right by yourself and everyone else.

Sharon: So... what do you think?

Rey: Well, I've always had my doubts about chelsea's breakdown. But she's right. The reality is, when it comes to connor, she's at the mercy of adam and victor. And that is almost as bad as being locked up.

Victoria: I have to tell you. This is the most amazing feeling in the whole world.

Nikki: Again I ask, your relationship with ashland or the merger?

Victoria: The merger! Newman locke? I mean, come on. Think of it. Think of all we'll be able to accomplish, the reach that we'll have. We'll be able to achieve things that we've never been been able to achieve.

Nikki: Well, I admit that i did have suspicions about ashland, but he seems to be on the level with this. It is a historic deal, and I am very proud of you.

Victoria: But?

Nikki: I'm also very concerned.

Victoria: Well, you needn't be. I know what I'm doing, and i know what's best for newman.

Nikki: Darling, I'm not worried about this in a business sense. I'm worried about your heart.

Victoria: [ Scoffs ] Why?

Nikki: You seem to be building a deep, emotional connection to a man who apparently doesn't have much time left.

Victoria: Relax, mom. I have the situation and my emotions completely under control.

Sally: Do you think jack can carry all the snacks and drinks by himself? Maybe I should have gone with him to get them.

Tara: I'm sure he can handle it. Sally, do you mind doing me a favor?

Sally: That depends.

Tara: I would love to get a video of me playing with harrison, if you don't mind.

Sally: Yeah, of course, as long as you're not expecting a cinematic masterpiece.

Tara: Anything will be fine. It'll just be nice to be in the picture with my son for a change. Hi, guys! You mind if mommy joins in?

Kyle: Yeah, we'd love it. Right, harrison? We were just about to play a game of "I spy."

Tara: Oh. I spy?

Kyle: Mm-hmm -- your favorite.

Ashland: Hey, harrison.

Harrison: Father!

Ashland: You look like you're having a grand, old time.

Tara: Hey. What are you doing here?

Ashland: They told me I could spend the afternoon with my boy, that the nanny would bring him to meet me here.

Tara: No, I said tomorrow.

Ashland: No, check your texts.

Tara: You misunderstood.

Kyle: It's a simple mix-up. It happens.

Ashland: Thank you, kyle, for weighing in when no one asked you to. Check your texts. I know I'm right.

Tara: Ash, are you okay?

Ashland: As if you care.

Tara: Hey, don't be like that. Of course I'm concerned. Is there something I can do?

Ashland: Get harrison away from me! Now!

Kyle: Harrison, let's go watch the ducklings, yeah? Okay.

Tara: Um, let me help you. There has to be something I can do.

Ashland: Just leave me alone. You've done enough.

[ Sighs ]

Adam: Hey.

Sharon: Hi! Really glad you could make it.

Adam: Yeah, I got to say i was a little surprised to get your text, saying you wanted to meet.

Sharon: Well, I just thought you should know that chelsea came to talk to me.

Adam: [ Exhales ]

[ Chuckling ] Um... I hope she didn't upset you. Guess I should have told you that she was being released, but I didn't realize that she was gonna want to talk to you.

Sharon: Everything went fine. You know, I'm glad we talked. It seemed, um, important that we did. It felt necessary.

Adam: Well, I hope you said everything that you needed to say. But you don't have to worry about running into her again. She's actually going out of town to take care of her mother.

Sharon: Yeah, she told me. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I thought maybe you could reconsider letting connor go with her. This is new special k dipped.

Tara: You just need to relax. You terrified harrison.

Ashland: Don't exaggerate.

Tara: Come on! You saw the expression on his face. He was hurt because his father didn't want him around.

Ashland: I didn't want him to see me struggling.

[ Sighs ] I should get the hell out of here.

Tara: Can I at least get you some water or something?

Ashland: Look -- that won't be necessary. Harrison! And you -- get your damn dates correct next time.

Tara: [ Sighs ]

Kyle: Tara, are you alright?

Tara: Yeah, I'm fine. It's harrison I'm worried about.

Kyle: He's fine. He was distracted by seeing the ducks.

Tara: Well, what happens next time, when ashland can't catch his breath again, and his condition worsens? Or if one of us isn't around to keep him from seeing his father's symptoms? What will that do to our innocent, little boy, watching ashland get sicker by the day?

Victoria: [ Sighs ]

[ Door opens ] Ashland! You look incredible! What's going on?

Ashland: I just came back from a consultation with my new oncologist.

Victoria: What? I had no idea.

Ashland: Because I didn't want you to know unless I had good news. And this is the best.

Victoria: The doctor offered you some good options?

Ashland: Well, there are some promising, new treatments that i hadn't heard of. And you were right. There's just still so much that I want to do.

Victoria: So, you're gonna do it. You'll get the treatments?

Ashland: I start tomorrow. Are you happy?

Victoria: I'm ecstatic!

Ashland: Your faith in me has given me a new lease on life. I want more time, more excitement.

Victoria: This changes everything.

Ashland: I want to be by your side while we have the time of our lives, running our mega-company together.

Adam: Sharon, I cannot believe you are pleading chelsea's case.

Sharon: I know. If somebody told me yesterday that I'd be saying this... but some of the things that she said hit home.

Adam: Like what?

Sharon: She asked for my forgiveness.

Adam: Wow.

Sharon: She talked a lot about her mental state, her feelings. And, um, you know, some of what she said just reminded me when i had my own psychiatric issues a long time ago.

Adam: Sharon, what you went through and what chelsea did, those two things are miles apart.

Sharon: Yes. We have an entirely different diagnosis. But that feeling of knowing that what you're doing is wrong, but you're not able to stop yourself, it's terrifying. I know that. And I just think chelsea does understand the gravity of what she did and how she crossed the line. I think she knows how sick she was.

Adam: I hope that's true, sharon. And I hope that she finds what she needs to heal. But taking my son out of the state is a completely different story.

Sharon: I understand. You would be hesitant. But...

Adam: Mm-hmm.

Sharon: ...You know, this dance that you and chelsea have been doing for months is toxic. And I know you see that.

Adam: [ Sighs ]

Sharon: Keeping connor away from her is just gonna add to that toxicity. I mean, I know that she's gone on the run before, but connor is old enough now that he would alert someone if she were trying to keep him from you.

Adam: Yes, yes, I know. Chelsea said that to me. But I just -- I don't think it's a good idea.

Sharon: Well, think about this. Think about what this will do to her self-worth, because she needs to feel whole as a person again. She needs to feel useful, and maybe some of that will come from being reunited with her son. She needs to be with him. And after all those months of boarding school, clearly connor wants to be with her. He needs his mom. You know, for years, she was his everything. So, I just think maybe this could be the healthiest choice for everyone...including you.

Adam: Mm.

[ Sighs ] Hey, connor. I, um, I need to ask you a question. How would you feel about going on a little trip... with your mom?

John tyson's motto was,

Victoria: Hi! How was the picnic? Did you get a chance to feed the ducks?

Ashland: I-I don't want to talk about it.

Victoria: I hope it didn't go too badly. Is everything okay with harrison?

Ashland: P-please, just let it go.

Victoria: Alright. Um... well, I have some very good news about our merger.

Ashland: I-I don't know how many times you'd like me to tell you. I'm not in the mood. I-I will see you later.

Victoria: You know, I don't know who let you get away with this kind of behavior, but you can't pull this kind of garbage with me. If something is wrong, you don't get to take it out on me. I'm on your side. We're in this together.

Ashland: I'm sorry. You're right. I'll, uh, I'll tell you everything.

Jack: Hey! What happened? Is harrison alright?

Kyle: He's fine, but we're heading home. Tell you all about it.

Sally: That was just too much. I wish I had gotten more on video.

Tara: What do you mean?

Sally: All I got was locke being a supreme jerk when you were just trying to help the guy.

Tara: You did what?

Sally: Yeah, the video that you asked me to take of you and harrison? And then ashland showed up, and I just forgot to stop filming.

Ashland: Check your texts. I know I'm right.

Tara: Ash, are you okay?

Ashland: As if you care.

Tara: I can't believe this. It's just awful.

Sally: I can edit it, and then you'll at least have the part of you playing with harrison.

Tara: No, I-I can't even think about you looking at this. How do you delete it off this thing?

Sally: Um, just -- yeah, that button.

Tara: Okay, yeah. I almost have it.

Sally: If you're having trouble, I can just do it for you.

Tara: No, no, no. I think I got it. Yep. Got it. Thanks.

Sally: For what?

Tara: Never mentioning what you saw today.

Chelsea: You wanted to see me?

Adam: I'm glad you could make it.

Chelsea: Well, I want to get to my mom's as soon as possible. I'm just waiting to get assigned to my official police escort.

Adam: Well, this won't take long.

Chelsea: What do you want now?

Adam: [ Sighs ] I've changed my mind.

Chelsea: About what?

Adam: About connor going on the trip with you. I think it would be really good for him -- and for you.

Chelsea: [ Laughs ] Is this -- is this really happening?

Adam: It is. Joan, the housekeeper from the ranch, is driving him over here right now.
