[ Papers rustling ]

Victoria: Hello?

Billy: Good lord. What, are you -- sneaking up on me like that? You should know better. Gonna give me a heart attack.

Victoria: Oh, yeah? Well, maybe you should cut back on the caffeine.

Billy: Maybe I should. What brings you by?

Victoria: Well, I was in the neighborhood. I'm not interrupting, am I?

Billy: No. I was just finishing up some work. I spent most of the day doing research.

Victoria: Are you investigating something interesting?

Billy: On how to dominate that never-ending board game that you and the kids conned me into playing last night. I will finish it tonight, and i will win.

Victoria: Seriously.

Billy: Oh, I am very serious. I think I've found the perfect strategy -- get in the lead, kick over the board, pieces go everywhere, game over, I'm victorious.

Victoria: I have a better strategy.

Billy: Oh, is that right? What would that be?

Victoria: Don't come over.

Billy: Mnh, I mean, the kids are expecting me.

Victoria: I know, but I'm asking you not to drop by, as a favor to me.

Nick: Alright, we'll see you when you get here. Thanks. Mom is on her way.

Sharon: Oh, good. Hopefully faith will feel comfortable opening up to her.

Nick: I want to bring summer and mariah in on this as much as we can.

Sharon: Sure.

Nick: I think the more we keep this in the family, the better off it'll be for faith.

Sharon: Okay. So, we're just gonna forget about therapy?

Nick: I didn't say that.

Sharon: Look, I know you're afraid of jumping in too fast, but the longer we wait --

Nick: I'm just trying to look at this the way our daughter might, alright? She's gonna get different perspectives from people in our family, who she loves, rather than being interrogated by some stranger. That's her opinion, not mine.

Sharon: Look, we may not always agree on what approach to take, but we both want the same results, so I think as long as we present a united front with faith, good.

Nick: Exactly.

Faith: Exactly what?

Nick: Hey. Uh, we were just talking. Glad you're here.

Faith: Why?

Sharon: We were hoping that you could tell us about this.

Faith: [ Breathes deeply ]

Gloria: Ah, just the woman I'm looking for.

Phyllis: Ah. Gloria.

Gloria: [ Chuckling ] Mm.

Phyllis: I didn't know you were here for another visit.

Gloria: Actually, I've moved back permanently, where i belong.

Phyllis: [ Exhales heavily ] Well, michael and kevin should be so thrilled.

Gloria: Oh, you have no idea. You can't even imagine their excitement.

Phyllis: Oh, I can'T. Um, well, I have some work to do, so...

Gloria: Work? That's exactly what I want to talk to you about.

[ Exhales sharply ] I am looking for a job. Phyllis, your hotel is so beyond elegant. This is the first place i thought when I decided to embark on this venture.

Phyllis: Well, I -- I'm honored.

[ Chuckles ] We don't have any openings.

Gloria: Oh, you just think you don'T. No, you see, I would be perfect as the coordinator/concierge for the escape club. Lauren told me all about it.

Phyllis: She told you all about it? That's the first rule of the escape club. It's -- never mind.

Gloria: You know that I know all of the players, and nobody knows a woman's desire more than I.

[ Laughs ] In fact, I think you'd be crazy not to hire me.

Phyllis: Well, then call me crazy because I actually handle the escape club myself, but -- but thank you. Um... anyway, I'm sure someone as resourceful as you will find something worthy of you. How about newman enterprises?

Gloria: Never even considered it.

Phyllis: Yeah. I guess you can't ask for a job and be blackmailing them all at the same time.

Gloria: I beg your pardon?

Phyllis: Uh...oh, I happen to know that you have something on one of the newman executives, one of the top newman executives, but it was kevin who persuaded you not to use it to your advantage.

Gloria: Kevin was talking to you about that? Well, let me set you straight. You are all wrong.

Phyllis: It's okay. Don't worry about it. My lips are sealed.

[ Smooches, chuckles ] I'm not gonna say anything. But I just figured that it's good leverage, you know, if you want to hit victoria up for a job.

Gloria: Thanks for the tip, but I just don't see myself at newman. I see myself here. So, do you have anything available?

Phyllis: No, we don'T. I'm sorry. You know, I'll keep my ears open.

Gloria: Yeah, I'm hearing that a lot.

Phyllis: Uh, really? I thought you said that the grand phoenix was the first place you went to. We'll talk later. I-I mean, see you around.

Tessa: Hmm. So, the doctor's appointment went well?

Mariah: Perfect. I mean, we're waiting for some blood-test results back, but he said I was healthy and I seem like a great candidate.

Tessa: Ah, abby must be on top of the world.

Mariah: She was very, very emotional. I finally had to tell her to stop thanking me.

Tessa: I mean, you're helping her and chance build a family. I mean, of course she's overjoyed. How do you feel?

Mariah: In love with you for going on this crazy journey with me. How could I ever repay you?

Tessa: We have a lifetime to figure that out.

Mariah: [ Chuckles ]

Tessa: Oh, you are gonna be the most beautiful surrogate in the world.

Mariah: [ Chuckles ]

Tessa: You're gonna have this glow that starts right at your heart, right where you made the decision to make your friends' dreams come true. And then that glow is just gonna radiate from there.

Mariah: Okay, okay, stop.

Tessa: No, no, I mean it. I mean -- I mean, tell me. Oh, god, what are you thinking? I mean, how are you feeling? I mean, how can I help you?

Mariah: Okay, is this new material for a song?

[ Chuckles ]

Tessa: I mean, I could do a lullaby or...

Mariah: [ Breathes deeply ] Oh, boy. God, there's just gonna be so many firsts that I don't even know about. And it's terrifying...and exciting. But the thing is, is they're not gonna be our firsts. This is all for abby and chance. Does that bother you?

Tessa: [ Chuckles ]

Mariah: What? Did I say something funny?

Tessa: You know, if we do ever decide to go down that road, you're not the only one who's capable of getting pregnant in this relationship.

Mariah: God. I could not love you more.

Tessa: [ Laughs ]

Mariah: Wait. Are we -- are we actually talking about having a baby someday?

Abby: [ Sighs ] Mom, hey. It's, uh -- it's me. Everything's okay, uh... actually, it's not okay at all. Um, no one's hurt or injured or anything, um... just -- just call me when you can? I'm afraid everything has changed. My heart failure diagnosis changed my priorities.

Faith: I've never seen that before. What is it?

Sharon: It's the cap to a bottle of vodka, a brand I've never bought before.

Faith: Okay. Why are you showing it to me? Where'd you find it?

Sharon: It was in the cushions of the couch.

Faith: For how long?

Sharon: Well, I don't know, but I keep this house pretty clean. It's hard to believe it's been there very long.

Faith: Are you saying I put it there?

Nick: No one is accusing you of anything, alright? We're just asking questions.

Sharon: The fact is, you were here alone with jordan on the night of the snowstorm, and you didn't even ask permission to have her over here.

Faith: [ Sighs ]

Sharon: While you had the house to yourself, it appears that you were drinking vodka, this vodka.

Faith: No, that's not what happened. Think about it. Where would I have even gotten a brand that you don't drink? What liquor store would sell it to me?

Nick: We need to know where it came from.

Sharon: I noticed you haven't flat out denied drinking yesterday.

Faith: [ Sighs ] Okay. You need to hear the words? Fine. I was not drinking. What am I supposed to do or say if you're not gonna believe me?

Nick: We want the truth.

Faith: I told you the truth. Come on. Is this how it's gonna be from now on? No normal conversations, just me constantly looking over my shoulder, waiting to get accused of something?

Sharon: Now, that's an exaggeration.

Faith: For you guys maybe, but not for me because I don't know how to prove to you that there's nothing to worry about. My grades are fantastic. My most recent teacher comments were about how focused I am. What else do you want from me?

Nick: We want you to not pretend you're okay if you're not. And, faith, we know you aren'T.

Faith: [ Sighs ]

Lauren: Hello.

Gloria: Hello. I'm glad you could find the time to let me buy you a cup of coffee. I know how busy you are.

Lauren: Why do I think that this is more than just a latte? If it's about asking for a job, I already told you that --

Gloria: I know. I know. I know. I know. You said you'd keep your eyes and ears open, and if I hear that one more time, I'm -- I'm going to explode.

Lauren: Okay. So I'm not just the only person saying that to you.

Gloria: No, you are not, and it's very upsetting.

[ Exhaling heavily ] I am desperate for a job, lauren, and not just because i got fired from one in los angeles. I have debts from my time out there. I need to dig myself out of a hole. And nobody's willing to give me a chance.

Lauren: I feel for you. I really do. But, boy, you burned a lot of bridges here in genoa city, and that is why no one can trust you and they're not willing to take you on.

Gloria: [ Voice breaking ] I've made mistakes. And I survived.

[ Sniffles ] And I have changed. You and I are family, lauren. Won't you please give me a chance to prove myself?

Billy: Uh, did something come up, or did you have plans that you forgot when we agreed that I would come over tonight?

Victoria: No. I just -- I would like a quiet night at home, unless something comes up with work.

Billy: Okay. I don't understand why I can't join you and the kids, like we agreed.

Victoria: Last night was fun.

Billy: Ah, that's a little bit of an understatement, but continue.

Victoria: Fun has its place, but so does consistency and schedule, and I can't have the kids getting used to junk-food binges and indoor touch football and staying up past their bedtime to play board games.

Billy: You were on the winning team of that touch football game, so why are you objecting all of a sudden?

Victoria: Be serious just for one minute.

Billy: Okay. Um...well, I think it's a little unfair. Yes, I do play a little bit loose, but I'm a good parent. I know when to bend the rules and when to accept them. And, again, I will remind you that you were having fun. You were laughing so much, you almost cried.

Victoria: I'm not questioning your parenting. I've just thought about this all day. Quality time is important, but i think it would be a mistake for the kids to get used to the four of us being together.

Billy: Vick, it was a couple days, a couple days that I was supposed to spend with them 'cause you were supposed to be in hawaii.

Victor: It's just -- it's unrealistic and it gets us away from the routine that I have in place and I just want things to go back to the way we normally do things.

Billy: You know, I thought we were doing the right thing, you know, giving johnny and katie a little bit of a treat. And, again, I will remind you that you had fun, as well.

Victor: Yes, I did.

Billy: Okay, so, what's the problem?

Victoria: It's too much, billy. I just don't want you getting any more comfortable in our lives. Ragu old world style traditional.

Billy: You don't want me to get comfortable? I don't know what that means.

Victoria: You know exactly what it means.

Billy: No, we're co-parenting. We're raising our kids. We're supposed to make them feel comfortable. And we're lucky. Not all separated parents get along like we do. We're a family. At least, that's what we want the kids to feel, right?

Victoria: That's not what i meant. I just think we should put the game away until your visitation day, when you're scheduled to be there, and not before.

Billy: So, you don't want me to feel comfortable in your life or in your house, but you go out of your way to make me feel comfortable when I am there?

Victoria: Well, what do you expect me to do when you're there to see the kids? Be rude?

Billy: I'm not moving in. I'm not gonna take over your life. I have a life of my own. But my kids are the most important thing to me, okay? They are my priority, and i don't see anything wrong with making them feel comfortable with that.

Victoria: All I'm saying is that we need to set very clear boundaries, like we had before.

Billy: What you're not saying is what happened last night to make you feel the way you do today.

Gloria: There's got to be something for me at fenmore'S.

Lauren: [ Sighs ] I can hear michael now.

Gloria: Yes, he would be thrilled that his two favorite women are working along side by side.

Lauren: Warning me that you are going to exploit our personal relationship and try and weasel your way into a job.

Gloria: No. No. There is no downside. There is nothing to fear, lauren. If you hire me and you are not satisfied with my performance, you simply let me go.

Lauren: And why do I think it wouldn't be that simple?

Gloria: So, that's a no?

Lauren: [ Sighs ] I, uh... I'm thinking about promoting sally, which would leave the job of my executive assistant.

Gloria: [ Sighs ]

Lauren: [ Chuckles ] Yeah, that's what I thought, too. We'd kill each other within the week.

Gloria: No. No, no, no. That is not true. You know that I am a wonderful assistant. And if you hire me, I will focus on one thing and one thing only, and that is to serve your needs. I will be subservient. I will be subdued.

[ Laughs ]

Lauren: [ Laughs ] You might want to work on that last part and make it believable.

[ Both laugh ]

Gloria: Yes, I did exaggerate just a little bit. Oh, lauren, I won't be any trouble. I will do my job, and I will do it well. I just need a chance to get back on track and earn a paycheck. So?

Lauren: I'll think about it.

Gloria: Mm.

Tessa: Are we talking about having a baby, babies of our own?

Mariah: It's kind of fun to imagine, right?

Tessa: I can't wait to fight over names.

Mariah: [ Laughs ] Okay, mortimer if it's a boy. I insist.

Tessa: Mm-hmm. Lucretia if it's a girl.

Mariah: Gray.

Tessa: Hmm. Hypotenuse.

Mariah: The longest side of a triangle?

Tessa: That's right.

Mariah: I love it? Uh...

[ Chuckles ]

Tessa: Do you?

Mariah: Well, I mean, they would definitely be one of a kind in their kindergarten class, and the best part is, uh, then everybody would know that the coolest, most talented singer/mom is a closeted nerd.

[ Both laugh ] Uh, I want to say something. Awhile ago, you brought up getting married, and I put you off.

Tessa: No, you said that --

Mariah: Oh, I said that i wasn't ready to have that conversation, not until sharon was better.

Tessa: Yeah. You weren't avoiding it. We just tabled it. And I'm fine with waiting.

Mariah: And maybe we're at a place where we don't have to wait. We can have those kind of conversations. I mean, there's a lot of conversations to have -- marriage, a family.

Tessa: That's some serious adulting.

Mariah: Do you think we can handle it?

Tessa: Yeah. But we don't have to figure out anything right now.

Mariah: No, no, there's -- there's time now. But we can start.

Tessa: We can definitely start.

Mariah: Hey! Come in! Celebrate.

Abby: [ Sighs ]

Faith: [ Sighs ] I'm fine. You don't have to believe me, but I am. As for the bottle cap --

Sharon: We're not discussing a bottle cap. We're talking about what was in the bottle that it came from.

Faith: Look, I already told you --

Sharon: We have given you the benefit of the doubt. Too many things don't add up.

Nick: The drinking is a concern. What is equally as concerning is why you're doing it.

Sharon: That's why your dad and I have decided that you need someone to talk to.

Faith: Grandma?

Sharon: No. A therapist.

Faith: [ Sighs ] Are you kidding me? I already told you I don't need or want one. No.

Sharon: Faith --

Faith: I won't go, and you can't force me.

Sharon: This is not up for debate. It's our job to step in when we see something's wrong.

Faith: You want me to go and tell my deepest, darkest secrets to someone who knows absolutely nothing about me, who won't understand me?

Nikki: What's going on?

Nick: Mom.

Faith: They still want to send me to a therapist, only now they're gonna force me to go right away. Tell them they're wrong, that i just need some time and space to breath, please.

Nikki: I think it would be good if faith and I have a moment alone.

Managing type 2 diabetes?

Nikki: So, I'm going to ask you a question, and I want you to answer honestly.

Faith: Okay.

Nikki: What is so terrible about going to therapy? I mean, it'll get your parents to back off, and I know you'll love that. And if the therapist agrees with you that you're just a normal teenager and the drinking was nothing to worry about, she'll back you up.

Faith: [ Sighs ] It's just so suffocating. Everyone else got to mess up once in a while, while growing up. But as soon as I'm not perfect 100% of the time, it's a national emergency. I mean, it's a ton of pressure.

Nikki: Darling, no one is expecting you to be perfect.

Faith: [ Sighs ] Look, I'm sorry what happened to cassie. I really am. But it feels like I'll never get out from under her shadow. It's not fair. I just want a normal life. And there's nothing normal about going to therapy. You understand way more than they do. Please, grandma. There's got to be something you can do to help me.

Nikki: Alright, sit tight and let me do the talking. Sharon? Nicholas?

Sharon: Everything okay down here?

Faith: No.

Nikki: Um...faith and I had a great chat, and I think we should all just take a moment to relax and cool down a bit.

Sharon: What do you propose?

Nikki: I'd like to take faith with me for a little while. Maybe we'll go up to the stables and see patches or go to the house and visit victor.

Faith: I'd love that.

Nick: I think it's a good idea..

Sharon: If you think so, I'm not gonna argue.

Lily: Am I late for my welcome back party?

Victoria: I should get going. I'm sure that you want to catch up with your partner.

Billy: Actually, I'd like to figure out what's going on.

Victoria: Well, I've said all there is to say.

Billy: And I don't understand any more now than when you first walked in.

Victoria: When you pick up the kids, we'll touch base. Welcome back, lily.

Lily: Thank you. Uh, what was that all about?

Billy: Nothing. You know, co-parenting blues. It'll work itself out.

Lily: Okay. Do you want to talk about it?

Billy: No, I don'T. I want to talk about you and how was your trip.

Lily: Well, amanda and I had an amazing time, of course.

Billy: Mm-hmm.

Lily: But best of all...

Billy: You did it?

Lily: We did it!

Billy: You closed the deal with heyward?

Lily: Yes. We are the proud new owners of heyward & daughters.

Billy: Yes! I knew you would do it. You are absolutely brilliant.

Lily: I know.

Billy: Fantastic. You know what you're doing, right?

Lily: Outshining you?

Billy: Well, that, and you're turning this little communications company into an empire.

Lily: Yes.

Billy: First askmdnow, now this?

Lily: Yeah. So, you ready to celebrate our newest acquisition, hmm?

Billy: Hmm... no, not right now. There's something that is much, much more important. It actually feels like an emergency.

Lily: What is it?

Billy: I need to celebrate with you because you are back in town and I missed the hell out of you.

Lily: Aww, you did?

Billy: Mm-hmm.

Tessa: Okay, so, I have this crazy idea. Do you want hear it?

Mariah: Uh, she's not asking. She's just gonna tell us anyways.

Tessa: So, I was thinking that I could take a picture a day of mariah from the moment you get ivf to the end, and then we could get all the pictures together and make a flip book. And then you can show the baby their first little home.

Abby: That is so clever.

Mariah: But we -- we don't have to do that.

Tessa: Oh. Uh, no, no. Yeah, of course not.

Mariah: Is chance still at the doctor's office? What happened? Is something wrong? After forty, we need anti-aging care that works.

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Sharon: Okay, um... I'm gonna try to choose my words carefully so that this doesn't escalate. I just wish we had talked about it before we allowed faith to go off with nikki.

Nick: We both agreed that my mother could be someone that faith could turn to if she needed help, alright? And we're not getting anywhere, sharon. Why not try something else?

Sharon: Look, of course she was resistant to therapy at first, but now we've lost all of our momentum. We have to start over.

Nick: Well, neither one of us is happy with the way that went down. You know, I thought we should have been way less confrontational, but you jumped right into faith's face.

Sharon: Of course I did. We found the cap to a bottle of vodka after she swore up and down that she wouldn't experiment with alcohol anymore.

Nick: Which we still don't know that it was faith.

Sharon: Well, I do. And I also know that as long as faith thinks that she and jordan can get away with it, it's just going to keep getting worse.

Nick: Well, united front, right? I mean, it's not gonna do anyone any good if we're fighting.

Sharon: We're not fighting! We're just having a spirited discussion...one in which i happen to be right and you're wrong.

Nick: [ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone pings ]

Sharon: [ Sighs ] Dammit.

Nick: Is it faith?

Sharon: No. Crimson lights. I scheduled the staff meeting. I forgot.

Nick: Can you postpone it?

Sharon: No. Is there any way that you could stay here in case nikki and faith come back?

Nick: Yeah, I'll do that, if you do something for me.

Sharon: Name it.

Nick: Repeat after me. "We're in this together."

Sharon: [ Sighs ] We're in this together.

Victoria: Katie? Johnny? Hey, is anybody home?

Johnny: Mommy!

Victoria: Hi. How's my favorite boy in the whole world? How was school today?

Johnny: Our snow day with daddy was more funner.

Victoria: Yeah, I know. I know. It was.

Johnny: We need to finish our game.

Victoria: Well, we will. We will, just not tonight. It's a school night and your dad and I both have jobs that keep us very busy and it's not fair for us to expect him to come over all the time, is it?

Johnny: But you both promised.

Victoria: Well, it's not happening, at least not tonight anyway, so stop asking.

[ Sighs ] I'm sorry, honey. I'm -- I don't mean to be so harsh. It's just that when I say that you can't do something, you have to accept it, alright? I'm not mad at you. I promise. Never forget how much I love you and your sister. And your dad -- he loves you. He loves you all the way to the moon and back.

Lily: Devon arranged for us to see a couple of lp's artists at these clubs downtown on our last night in new york.

Billy: Oh, I'm sure you and amanda had a blast.

Lily: Oh, we had so much fun. We actually got to the door and told the guy we were with lp, and he sent us backstage because he thought that we were backup dancers.

Billy: Wow. Did you get on it and shake a tail feather and show them what you got?

Lily: No. We joked about it, but we were too scared.

Billy: Uh-huh.

Lily: And thank god 'cause the actual dancers showed up and they had a very complicated choreograph routine with multiple backflips.

Billy: Oh, see, now that sounds like my kind of entertainment.

Lily: Yeah, it was really fun.

Billy: Good.

Lily: But the only thing missing was you.

Billy: Aww.

Lily: [ Laughs ] So, you had to wait out the storm with victoria and the kids 'cause her flight was canceled? How'd it go?

Billy: Well, everything was perfect until today. Everything went sideways, which is what you walked in on.

Lily: Why? I don't get it.

Billy: Uh, yeah, neither do I. We had a great time with the kids, no arguments, no disagreements, and then she shows up today and tells me to stay away and back off. I don't know. It's a little mystifying. (Buzz) big news america!

Nick: Where's faith?

Nikki: Playing chess with victor.

Nick: [ Sighs ] You didn't, uh...

Nikki: No, no. He's just happy to be spending time with his granddaughter. He's using it as a teaching moment.

Nick: How so?

Nikki: He's playing to win, no coddling faith just because she's young.

Nick: He better watch his queen. That kid is cunning now.

Nikki: Well, I know you're anxious to hear how my talk with her went. She says she feels very misunderstood and that you and sharon gang up on her and she feels trapped and that no matter what she does to redeem herself, she's never gonna be trusted.

Nick: Yeah. I mean, I've heard the same thing from her before. I just want to find a solution. You know, I want her to feel happy and safe, like before.

Nikki: Well, I think the reason she latched on to me was to get away from all the pressure you and sharon are putting on her.

Nick: Well, I'm glad she has you to turn to.

Nikki: Well, I'm happy to try to guide her or mentor her, but, darling, I'm not a professional. And that's faith's best chance.

Nick: [ Sighs ]

Jordan: [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: Jordan.

Jordan: Hi. [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: What brings you by?

Jordan: The green tea. There's nothing like it. Oh, by the way, thank you so much for letting me stay over at your house during the ice storm. Way better than being at home with my brother.

Sharon: I'm really glad I ran into you. I was actually going to track you down.

Jordan: Mm, why?

Sharon: There's a lot going on at our house these days. Faith is gonna be pretty busy, so I think this might be a good time for you to...back off and give her some space. You understand?

Mariah: I can't believe this.

Tessa: So, after all that, chance won't be able to...

Abby: He was so brave and sweet...and hopeful. That's the thing -- he was so hopeful.

Mariah: And he wants to move forward with a donor?

Abby: He said he needed some time to think, and, I mean, i totally understand that feeling. He just got this horrible news, and he needs time to process it. This basic human ability that most people take for granted -- it's not possible for him, for us.

Mariah: And the doctor's sure? It's -- it's permanent?

Abby: No. See, that's the thing. It could be temporary, unlike my condition, but, I mean, we don't know if or when. I mean, just making a decision right now, any decision, just seems rushed.

Tessa: If he did mean it and he's willing to go ahead with the donor, how do you feel about that?

Abby: I told him that I want a baby, our babies, any way they come to us.

Mariah: But?

Abby: But I'm sad. You know, I had this picture in my mind of our babies and if they'd have chance's incredible smile. And if I can't carry and he can't donate, I mean, is this really the right choice? I mean, is this really the right way to move forward?

Mariah: Well, you don't have to make any decisions right now, okay? I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere.

Abby: Thank you. And thank you for everything that you were willing to do for us.

Mariah: Of course. Just tell us what you need.

Abby: I just need you guys to be together and in love and not to worry about me because I am gonna be fine. But, um, I'm gonna go now.

[ Sighs ]

Mariah: I-if you need anything, I want to be the first call.

Abby: I'll be in touch.

Mariah: [ Sighs ] Oh, my... abby loves him so much. They love each other so much. How can this be happening?

Tessa: You're the one I'm concerned about. Are you okay?

Mariah: Yeah, I'm just really sad for them. If you could have seen how excited abby was -- I mean, this is all she wanted. This is all they wanted, a baby of their own. Then you take that away... how do you come back from that? You're clearly someone

Abby: [ Sighs ]

Jordan: I don't understand. You don't want me to hang out with faith?

Sharon: For now. We'll see how it goes.

Jordan: If there's something going on, maybe I could help. She is like a sister to me.

Sharon: That's sweet of you to offer, but the most helpful thing right now would be if you and faith didn't see each other anymore.

Faith: [ Exhales sharply ] Are you seriously doing this behind my back?

Jordan: Your mom doesn't want me around you, so I guess I'm out of here.

Faith: How could you do that? She is my only friend!

Sharon: Faith, I need to look out for your best interests.

Faith: Okay, so now I'm not allowed to have friends anymore? I'm just supposed to be lonely for the rest of my life?

Sharon: I know it must seem harsh --

Faith: Oh, my god, just leave me alone!

Sharon: [ Sighs ]

Victoria: [ Sighs ]

Lily: So, last night it was all fun and games?

Billy: Yeah. And victoria was happier and more relaxed than I've seen her in months, and then today is a completely different story.

Lily: So, what do you think happened?

Billy: I don't know. I mean, I really don'T. We were hanging out with the kids playing games, and maybe i said something that hit her the wrong way.

Lily: What, slip of the tongue and now you're persona non grata? I mean, I don't think that's likely.

Billy: You got a better idea?

Lily: Well, I mean, you know, you were there. I wasn'T.

Billy: You're right. I was. And enough about that. I've thought enough about that. Right now, I'm thinking, "why are we down here drinking coffee and tea when we could be having so much more fun two floors up?"

Lily: Oh. Then what are we waiting for?

Billy: What, indeed?
