Episode #12022 ~ Adam learns shocking news about Chelsea; Nick and Phyllis discuss marriage.

Provided By Suzanne

Rey: It was an absolutely perfect night.

Mariah: [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: Well, that was the past. I mean, what about the present? How's the first day of marriage going, mr. Rosales?

Rey: Oh, it's going very well, mrs. Rosales.

Sharon: [ Chuckles ]

Rey: But it'll be much better once we touch down in miami.

Mariah: Aw.

Arturo: They can go anywhere in the world, and they're going to south florida. I mean, if someone offers me a vacation, I'm choosing italy or new zealand.

Rey: Well, sharon just wants to see where I grew up.

Sharon: Yeah, we've been talking about going for a while, and I want to experience the neighborhood and get to know these characters that I keep hearing about in these stories. I want to know everything about the man that I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with.

Rey: Mm-hmm.

Adam: Chelsea! Hi. Uh, I would like to speak to dr. Elena dawson immediately.

Mariah: Well, I don't care what anyone says, I'm jealous of you two getting to have some beach time. So, if you need anything -- i mean, if you need someone to carry your luggage or make reservations or be your personal valet, I'm your girl. N-no? Nothing? No takers?

Rey: Don't you have that new job you should be worried about?

Mariah: Yes. Yes, I do. But I've worked there for a few weeks now, so I'm sure I've accrued some vacation time.

[ Chuckles ]

Arturo: I'm sure mom already has a bunch of stuff planned for you guys that you probably don't even want to do.

Rey: Well, I made mami promise not to be a typical, intrusive mother-in-law. No overstepping.

Arturo: And as part of my wedding gift to you both, I will just pretend like you're not even there. I'll stay totally clear. The town's all yours. But maybe abuela celeste can pick up mateo and you guys can spend some time with your nephew.

Rey: You know, that would be terrific.

Sharon: Yeah, I would really love that, especially after seeing all those adorable photos that you showed us.

Arturo: We'll make it happen. I'm really glad you're coming home, man. Sharon, my heart is full. I'm really happy that you're a part of our family.

Sharon: Well, I'm really happy to become a part of your family, too.

Phyllis: Rise and shine.

Nick: Ah, I've risen. I don't know about the shining part.

Phyllis: Let's go, let's go.

Nick: How do you have so much energy first thing in the morning?

Phyllis: Uh, because I have to go to work.

Nick: Well, you know, we're not kids anymore. Last night was pretty strenuous. It took a lot out of me.

Phyllis: It took a lot out of you? Wow. You have nerve. Which part?

Nick: Which part? The beginning. The middle part was -- the ending.

Phyllis: It was your birthday, you know. I wanted to do something really...nice for you.

Nick: It was nice

Phyllis: [ Laughs ] So, I mean, if you have to take a moment, you know, get off your feet, go lay down, I get it.

Nick: I don't need any more moments, alright?

[ Sighs ] You know what my favorite part was, though? Waking up next to you in the morning. Really getting used to, you know, you being in my arms when I wake up.

Phyllis: I mean, are -- are you saying officially you're getting used to -- what -- what do you mean?

Nick: I don't know. What -- what do you mean by asking me what do I mean?

Phyllis: I'm just asking what you mean, because, I mean, watching rey and sharon say "i do," I mean, does it make you want to, um, say I do?

Nick: Is there a right answer here?

Phyllis: No, I mean, it's just an honest answer.

Nick: Hmm.

Phyllis: Hmm. (Vo) outside your window, the wild is still wild.

Nick: No. I-I-I don't think we should get married again. Not because I don't want to be with you or because I love you. Because you know I'm absolutely crazy about you. It's just, you know, I want our future to last forever. I want it to be filled with passion and romance and -- and fun, you know? And I know there's gonna be arguments between us, because that's who we are. It's kind of part of our -- our passion. But I don't think we need to, you know, go the conventional route again, 'cause we've done it, you know, multiple times, and for a variety of reasons, it didn't work out.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Nick: So unless -- you know, unless there's a need for us to make it official, I'm really digging the path we're on.

Phyllis: Me too. I'm digging it, too. I am, too. Totally agree.

Nick: You have any thoughts on that?

Phyllis: [ Laughs ] Yeah, I agree. Those are my thoughts. Listen, we've been married before, and, yeah. I don't care what other people say, you know? I have no need for approval. Uh, we don't need a piece of paper to confirm how we feel about each other. We're in love, and that's all that matters. We don't need to get married. I agree. I mean, right now what's happening between us, I mean, this is the best it's ever been between us, so...

Rey: Alright. We got to get a move on. I still have packing to do.

Sharon: I have a few things to check on at crimson lights.

Arturo: Yeah, I should, uh, get back to the hotel. I got some packing to do, and i got to say goodbye to lola.

Rey: Okay, so after the car picks us up here, we'll stop by the hotel, and all of us will go to the airport together, hmm?

Arturo: Good.

[ Smooches ]

Rey: [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: [ Chuckles ]

Rey: Oh, boy. Look at this mess we've gotten ourselves into with our two families joining together. It's a lot.

Sharon: Yeah. But I love it. It's everything I could ask for.

Adam: Can I see chelsea?

Elena: Adam, um, we need to talk. Please have a seat.

Adam: The news isn't gonna change whether I'm sitting or standing, so I would prefer to be on my feet.

Elena: Uh, last night, chelsea suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage when the aneurysm in her brain ruptured.

Adam: Right.

Elena: We inserted a coil into the blood vessel.

Adam: Uh-huh. That's exactly what we talked about last night. So were you able to repair the rupture with this procedure?

Elena: Unfortunately, the hemorrhage had already done its damage. Chelsea suffered a stroke.

Adam: No. That -- she -- she couldn't have. I mean, she's -- she's young.

Elena: Age isn't a factor in this case. It's about the structure of the vascular system.

Adam: How bad is it?

Elena: She lost mobility on her right side, and she's unable to speak. Now, these symptoms could alleviate with time. Be temporary.

[ Distorted ] Or they could lead to more degradation of the system, creating more neurological incidents.

[ Normal ] Right now, chelsea is unconscious, but we're doing everything that we can for her.

Adam: I would really like to see her right now.

Elena: You can't yet. There's a risk of infection, so we're going to isolate chelsea for the time being.

Adam: Listen, I-I am the one that should be by her side right now.

Elena: I understand how you feel. I do. But it's not possible. Think of this as you doing your part to protect chelsea.

Adam: I just -- I can't -- I can't take this. I have to see chelsea. There is something that I have to do. I have to help her. Dull skin?

Faith: [ Sighs ]

Mariah: Hi. Hi. I was, uh, just leaving for a little while.

Faith: I see that. Why are you talking so loud? Oh, well, arturo was here earlier, and we were laughing and having a good time. It was very, very lively. But I will turn down the volume for you, if you'd like. Are you okay? What's wrong?

Faith: You know how sleepovers are. Nobody really sleeps. We watched scary movies, ate junk food.

Mariah: Getting sick to your stomachs. Good times.

Faith: Where are mom and rey?

Rey: I'm right here. Uh, your mom is running some errands at the coffee shop, and I'm about to head out and run an errand, too.

Faith: Okay, but you guys are coming back here before you leave for your honeymoon, right?

Rey: Yeah.

Faith: Good. I was worried I was gonna miss you before you left.

Rey: We wouldn't have left without saying bye.

Mariah: By the way, there are leftovers from brunch in the kitchen, so please eat anything you'd like. I'm gonna be right back.

Rey: Yeah, me, too. And mariah wasn't kidding about the food. Eat up.

Faith: Okay. Thanks.

Rey: Let's go.

[ Door closes ]

[ Cellphone buzzes ]

[ Sighs ]

Sharon: Hey!

Elena: Hey.

Nate: Hey.

Sharon: Fueling up for work?

Elena: Yeah. Such a long shift. I'm actually due back at the hospital soon.

Sharon: Okay. A double for you, nate?

Nate: Just a regular coffee, please.

Sharon: Alright. Well, settle in. I'm bring them out to you.

Elena: Wait a minute. You just got married. Congratulations!

Sharon: Thank you.

Nate: Why are you hard at work the morning after your wedding?

Sharon: I just had to stop in here and take care of a few things before I head out to my honeymoon.

Elena: Oh! You know, lola's been buzzing about this wedding for weeks, and we haven't had a chance to catch up. How was the ceremony?

Sharon: It was everything i dreamed of and more. So you can tell your roommate that her food surpassed my high expectations.

Elena: Oh, I definitely will.

Nate: Sharon, you and rey have my best wishes.

Sharon: Thank you. Well, I'm gonna go get your drinks so that elena can get back to saving lives.

Nate: You seemed a little, uh, stressed out on the phone.

Elena: Yeah, yeah. Had a patient come in last night. It's a delicate situation.

Nate: Talking about chelsea?

Elena: Yeah, she was supposed to have surgery to remove the aneurysm today, but it was scheduled about 12 hours too late.

Nate: That's terrible timing.

Elena: Yeah. It's really unfortunate.

Nate: A startling reminder of how life can change in an instant.

Elena: I spoke with adam earlier, and he is a wreck. My heart goes out to him.

Nate: To come home to the woman that you love, collapsed on the floor. I have to sympathize with him.

Elena: There was so much pain in his eyes.

Nate: You know what? I'm -- I'm mostly concerned about chelsea and their son. That boy's gonna need his mother.

Elena: And to think they were probably making plans for the new year.

Nate: And now chelsea is lying in a hospital, unconscious, with no guarantee of recovery. I hope there's good news soon.

Sharon: Coffee time.

Phyllis: Right. And -- and then don't forget the hot sauce. Thank you. Thanks, claudia. Okay. So, um, I figure we should eat before we go off to work.

Nick: Yeah. Good call.

Phyllis: Yeah. Hey, you know, I didn't tell you, um, I saw adam last night at society, when I was dropping off the gift that you forgot.

Nick: What the hell was he doing there?

Phyllis: Uh, it wasn't that interesting. But he wanted to wish sharon well. He wanted to make sure that the wedding came off without a hitch. And she's been through a hard year, partially because the problems that he brought upon her, but, hey, anyway, he just wanted to make the wedding was a success.

Nick: Surely you didn't buy that.

Phyllis: I don't know. I don't know. I-I think he was genuine in wanting to see sharon happy.

Nick: It's too altruistic for adam.

Phyllis: You know how I feel about him. I think he's horrible. I think he's a slug. But he did have the chance to stop wedding, and he didn't do that.

Nick: Maybe he was planning to try and stop it, but you stopped him from doing that.

Phyllis: Maybe.

Nick: I mean, it'd be funny if you were the reason that sharon's wedding didn't end up as a total disaster.

Phyllis: It would be funny. I'm an incredible woman.

Nick: You are an incredible woman.

Rey: Whoo! I cannot wait to feel that sun in south florida. I am ready to thaw out. I have one more errand to run. Ready to go? Um, well, all the administrative stuff in the office is done, and now I just have to clean up this mess.

Rey: Are you okay?

Sharon: Yeah. There's sugar everywhere.

Rey: Yeah, I can see that. All you have to do is clean it up. Why are you so upset?

Sharon: Okay. I, uh -- I overheard something.

Rey: Yeah?

Sharon: Okay. I heard elena and nate talking about chelsea. And they didn't give any details, but apparently she's in the hospital.

Rey: Is it serious?

Sharon: Well, she's unconscious, so it sounds pretty serious.

Rey: They didn't say what was wrong with her?

Sharon: No. Um, chelsea was in here the other day, and she mentioned she was having some kind of procedure done, but she made it sound like it was no big deal. Maybe it was. Or maybe something went wrong. And adam, you know, he must be devastated.

Rey: I know your instincts are telling you to reach out to adam. Are you looking for my blessing? Hi, I'm pat and I'm 75 years old.

Elena: Time to get back to the hospital?

Nate: We have a couple minutes. Take a breath. Enjoy your time away from G.C. Memorial. I, um -- I've been trying to give you some space, but I've been thinking about you since the last time we hung out.

Elena: When I bolted from that hotel room?

Nate: So you remember.

Elena: [ Chuckles ]

Nate: Good. I-I was starting to wonder if i had dreamed it.

Elena: No. I'm sorry. It's not that I wasn't having fun or I didn't want to be there with you. It's just --

Nate: Too soon. Too soon. I get it. And you probably didn't realize till that moment. No need to apologize or explain.

Elena: Thank you for understanding.

Nate: I'm not really worried about what happened the other day. I'm mostly concerned about how you feel about tomorrow and the day after that.

Elena: I know I told you that I might not be able to get over how we started things... but I've been doing some soul searching.

Nate: That sounds promising.

Elena: [ Chuckles ] I like you, nate. Of course. I've been trying to think about what I envision for my new year, and I think that I would like to continue seeing you and see where this goes.

Nate: This is sounding better and better.

Elena: But we have to take it slow.

Nate: Of course. Does your speed include dinner some night? Not room service. I'm talking out in public, opposite of intimate. Fun date.

Elena: Yes. I think I'd like that a lot.

Rey: I understand your impulse to want to contact adam. But it's not for me to tell you what you should or shouldn't do.

Sharon: But you'd rather I not.

Rey: Well, first off, this is information you weren't meant to have. It's not like adam called you to tell you that chelsea was in the hospital.

Sharon: That's true.

Rey: He made the decision to leave you out of it. Now, if you go see him, I'm concerned how adam will react. He's not always rational, especially when he's upset. I don't want him to lash out at you.

Sharon: I don't he would do that.

Rey: My point is, is that you could end up getting entangled in a situation.

Sharon: Well, I can't just pretend that I don't know what happened to chelsea.

Rey: [ Exhales sharply ] Look, I don't want this to postpone our honeymoon. But one of the things I love about you is your compassion, even if it's for people that i don't think deserve it. So... you do whatever you want to do.

Sharon: I'm not gonna get in touch with adam. I-I don't want to intrude, and, you know, maybe it's just not my -- not my place, my concern.

Rey: Are you sure?

Sharon: We need to get to miami. We deserve a beautiful honeymoon. And if adam, you know, ends up needing some support, I'm sure he'll find someone, just... not me.

Adam: Tell him it's adam newman. Yes, I understand that he's busy, but surely the chief of surgery has five minutes to talk to me at some point. Okay, I'm at the hospital right now, trying to get permission to see the mother of my son. No, we're not married. I need a specialist, and dr. Showen was recommended to me. I have a stroke patient that I need him to take a look -- he's skiing? Tell her that I will fly her in from new york. I will put her up. I'll pay her whatever she wants. I know that her research is important, but this is very important, too. We went to undergrad together. Did you tell her it's adam wilson? Never mind.

[ Cellphone thuds ]

Adam: You were trying to get out of the elevator and you fell?

Chelsea: Well, I-I tried texting you. The power went out. And I was reaching for the hatch, and I slipped. I mean, the headaches haven't helped anything. That's for sure.

Adam: Would you say they're getting better or worse?

Chelsea: No, I'd say they're getting worse. Like a bad migraine.

Adam: And when did they start?

Chelsea: The first one came on after I fell in the chanccomm elevator and I hit my head.

Adam: Which was also my fault. I cut the power that trapped you in the elevator. Your ct scan revealed a small cerebral aneurysm.

Chelsea: What?! That's not possible.

Adam: It wasn't there when you had your last exam. Or maybe it was so small that the machine didn't pick it up. Look, I know that you are afraid.

Chelsea: Aren't you?

Adam: Not at all. We have world-class surgeons. And once the surgery is behind us, we're gonna get to live the best part of our lives -- together. Chelsea!

Adam: Well, I'm sure you're as shocked to hear from me as i am to be calling, but I need to talk to you. So if you could call me back as soon as you can... victor.

Advanced non-small cell lung

cancer can take away so much.

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Adam: Has there been any change?

Elena: No. I'm sorry. But we are monitoring her very closely.

Adam: And, uh, what kind of treatment are you gonna give her when she regains consciousness?

Elena: She will be here another five to ten days. The hope is that with therapy, she'll be able to regain mobility and her ability to speak.

Adam: "The hope"? No, that's not good enough. She needs to recover. She needs to be everything that she used to be.

Elena: Adam, please. I'm trying to get you to adjust your expectations.

Adam: And I know what you are trying to do. But I can't just stand here, waiting around. And not being able to see her. And there -- there has to be something that you can do to help. Can't you talk to someone?

Elena: I'm sorry. The decision on visitors is not gonna change right now.

Adam: Well, then what would you recommend that I do?

Elena: You need to be patient. If chelsea starts to show signs of progress, it's possible you'll be able to see her. And in the meantime, trust that we are doing everything that we can to help her. So go home, get some rest, and take care of yourself. That way, when chelsea actually needs you, you'll be ready.

Sharon: The news about chelsea is awful, but I'm not going to let it ruin this wonderful day.

Faith: Hi.

Sharon: Hi! How did last night go?

Faith: Good. I was worried I was gonna miss you before you left, though.

Sharon: Oh, oh, we wouldn't let that happen.

Faith: Are you excited to be going to miami? I am so excited, but I'm gonna miss you, too.

Faith: You're not gonna be gone that long.

Faith: Tell her she's not gonna miss me.

Rey: But faith, I'm the one who's gonna miss you more. You know, it's too bad that you love school so much that you couldn't even consider taking a few days off. Otherwise, we would have brought you along.

Faith: Why would I want to be on the beach when I could be here studying?

Rey: [ Chuckles ]

Sharon: So, tell me about the sleepover.

Faith: Super chill. We just watched movies, girl talk, you know.

Sharon: That sounds perfect. I'm glad your friend was able to come to the reception. That must have been nicer for you to have someone there your own age.

Faith: Definitely.

Sharon: It seems like you two are getting pretty close.

Faith: Yeah. Jordan's the best. She's having some friends over later. I'm not sure I'm up for a big, old group thing, but, uh, I'm really tired.

Sharon: Oh, well, if you change your mind later, you can always go.

Faith: Okay.

Sharon: Or, you know what? You can have jordan over here before you head over to your dad'S. You know, mariah's gonna be home soon. You two would have the house to yourself. You could take advantage.

Faith: Thanks. I'll think about it.

Nick: What are you smiling about?

Phyllis: Huh? What? I'm smiling? Really?

Nick: Yeah. The elevator ride down, smiling, humming the whole time.

Phyllis: I'm happy. That's all.

Nick: Care to be more specific?

Phyllis: Um, well, because we're in a committed relationship, we love each other, and we're not getting married.

Nick: Well, we have learned from our mistakes. We know what works for us.

Phyllis: Yes, definitely. And I'm very grateful that you bailed me out of my financial situation. You're not constantly asking me how I'm gonna pay you back. And the thing I'm most happy about is, between the two of us, I'm clearly the superior "alien battle 3" player.

Nick: Completely not true.

Phyllis: Well, you always give me the bad controller.

Nick: We switch controllers all the time.

Phyllis: I always happen to get the bad one, but, hey, no problem.

Nick: We'll agree to disagree on that, but let's get back to the other thing.

Phyllis: What other thing?

Nick: The thing about me not asking you questions how you're going to pay me back.

Should I be asking you questions about that?

Phyllis: Uh, I think you misunderstand me. It's important for me to pay you back, but I just appreciate that you're not over my shoulder all the time, trying to micromanage how I'm gonna do that.

Nick: Really?

Phyllis: Yeah. Really. Do you feel better?

Nick: Hmm. I'm just wondering how nervous I should be. These are real people, not actors,

Phyllis: Jim, this is incredible. I am so happy to do it. Thank you very much, okay? We'll talk soon. Thank you. That's amazing. That was a whole block of rooms.

[ Gasps ]

Nick: Very impressed how you handled that.

Phyllis: Thank you.

Nick: Equally as impressed that you managed to take that phone call so you could avoid talking to me about the money.

Phyllis: My gosh. I-I'm gonna pay you back. It's not like I'm gonna rob a bank or something.

Nick: Well, that's a relief.

Phyllis: Besides, they don't have the money in the back. It's all digital now, so...

Nick: Phyllis...

Phyllis: I'm just kidding.

Nick: I am actually very curious how you're planning to make these weekly payments that you're insisting on. But since that's what you want to do --

Phyllis: It's a challenge. You know me. It's a challenge. Um, but, uh, if it's the same to you, uh, I-I'd like to go back to the monthly plan maybe.

Nick: Of course. Whatever you want. I just don't want you putting extra pressure on yourself.

Phyllis: But you seem to think I'm desperate to pay you back, and I'm not. Listen, I wouldn't do something stupid. Why would I do that and put this hotel in jeopardy? This hotel that I've worked so hard to make my own again.

Nick: Exactly. It makes zero sense.

Phyllis: Okay, so we're good, right?

Nick: We are definitely good.

Sharon: Let's go. I'm ready to go to miami.

Rey: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're ready for miami, but I'm not sure miami's ready for you.

Sharon: [ Chuckles ]

Mariah: Do you guys have room for one more item?

Sharon: What's that?

Mariah: It's just something special for you two for the honeymoon, so...

Sharon: Oh! Thank you. That's so thoughtful. You girls have been so great throughout this --

Mariah: No, no, no. No. There's no time to get emotional, okay? You have to go.

Faith: Have an amazing trip. Take lots of pictures.

Sharon: Oh, gosh, we will. We will.

Mariah: Okay, and think of us while you guys are on the beach and we're in parkas and scarves and gloves and hats.

Sharon: Yeah, we won't, we won'T.

Rey: Bye.

Mariah: Bye. Love you.

Faith: Bye.

[ Door closes ]

Mariah: So, what do you want to do today? You have got me all to yourself.

[ Cellphone buzzes ]

[ Cellphone rings ]

Adam: Hello, connor. How you doing, buddy? That's good. I, uh, I'm sorry that I-I didn't call you before. I, uh -- I know that you wanted to hear about how your mom's surgery went. And -- and I'm happy to tell you that the doctors are -- are happy with what they were able to do. No, she's still at the hospital. She's resting comfortably, so you can't talk to her yet. But, uh, she wanted me to tell you that she -- she loves you very much. So, uh, how are things with you? Well, that's good. Do you have basketball practice today? That -- that'll be fun.

[ Exhales deeply ] No, I didn't hear. Why -- why don't you tell me? What -- what happened in art class? Yes. Yes. I'm sure. I, uh, I have all the time in the world. And it's all yours.

Mariah: What is going on? I offered to spend the whole day with you, and you didn't even jump at the chance. I mean, we could load the dishwasher any way we want. You could leave the hallway light on the -- the entire time. Nobody there to reprimand you.

Faith: It might be too crazy for me. But can we leave our coats lying around the living room without anyone yelling at us?

Mariah: Yes. That is more like it. And we could even good something with no nutritional value...

Faith: [ Gasps ]

Mariah: ...At all. And then we could just leave the dishes in the sink and then do them another time.

Faith: Oh, yeah. As fun as that sounds, I think i just want to go over to my dad's house. Could you give me a ride over there?

Mariah: Uh, yeah. Sure. Is everything alright?

Mariah: As much as I'd love some sister time, I'm completely wiped out. Maybe we can hang out later in the week.

Mariah: Yeah. I'd like that.

Faith: Okay. I'll grab my stuff.

Phyllis: Hey! Congratulations. The newlyweds.

Sharon: Thanks.

Rey: Thank you.

Phyllis: Sure. I hear that the wedding came off without a hitch.

Sharon: You almost sound surprised by that.

Phyllis: No. Not at all. I think you deserve to have the best wedding possible.

Rey: Thank you.

Phyllis: Yeah, that's why i made myself scarce.

Sharon: Oh, w-- you were welcome to attend.

Phyllis: No, no, no. I mean, we have a history with weddings, so...

[ Chuckles ]

Nick: I thought you two would be headed south for your honeymoon by now.

Rey: Yeah, yeah. We're, uh, actually to the airport. I'm just picking up arturo.

Phyllis: Oh, arturo, has not checked out yet.

Rey: I'm gonna call him.

Nick: Well, you guys have a great trip. I mean, after the year you've had, you sure deserve to kick back and relax.

Sharon: Thanks. Yeah. It should be fun.

Nick: I thought you'd be more excited than this.

Sharon: You know, I am. It's just, um -- hey, have you guys heard anything about chelsea?

Nick: What about chelsea?

Sharon: She's in the hospital. Adam came home and found her unconscious.

Phyllis: W-wait a second. When did this happen?

Sharon: Um, last night, from what I gather.

Adam: I've seen what I needed to see.

Phyllis: What does that mean?

Adam: It means sharon has had a rough year, and she deserves to be happy. So I'm leaving.

Phyllis: Does chelsea happen to know that you're here?

Phyllis: Poor chelsea. We'll pray for her.

Sharon: Yeah.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Sharon: Um, oh, I-I got to get going.

Nick: You guys have a great trip.

Sharon: Thanks.

Nick: Can you believe this about chelsea?

Phyllis: Adam must feel so guilty.

Nick: For what?

Phyllis: Where was he? He was at the wedding, right? And then he found chelsea in that condition.

Nick: So if he wasn't spying on sharon's wedding...

Phyllis: If he wasn't spying on sharon's wedding, maybe he would have been there to help chelsea.

Adam: We'll all be together again soon. As soon as your mom is, uh, healthy enough to travel. We're gonna come see you, okay? So study hard and make us proud. I love you, too, son. More than you can ever know. Alright. Goodbye.
