Episode #11314 ~ Sparks fly between Cane and Lily; Traci is blindsided; Abby stands her ground.

Provided By Suzanne

Previously on "the young and the restless"...

Abby: I cannot believe you told her we had sex.

Sharon: We're talking about you, abby, and your sleazy fling you had with my boyfriend!

Abby: Aah! Ugh!

Scott: It's an engagement ring. I was gonna ask you marry me.

Sharon: We're done. You can have him.

Scott: Can I at least talk to you?

Abby: Hah.

Chelsea: Christian! He's missing!

Dina: This is my son! They want to take my jackie.

Ashley: She took a child. I don't know how to take care of her.

Jack: I don't -- I didn't want to admit it. I didn't want to face it. She needs more help than we can give her right now.

Abby: And...?

Lily: And nothing. I know cane. I could tell that hug was as far as he wanted to take it.

Cane: She is ready to move on.

Phyllis: Come on, sleeping beauty! Rise and shine! I know you're hitting that snooze button. Come on! You cannot be late for your first day with cane! Billy, I mean it! Whoo-hoo?

Billy: Ready or not, chancellor, here I come.

Abby: Oh, my god. Oh, my god. I have mace!

Scott: It's me, scott!

Abby: [ Panting ] So? Give me a reason not to defend myself.

Ashley: Hi.

Traci: Oh! Hi. I was looking for my key.

Ashley: I'm so happy to see you.

Traci: Listen, before we go in, how's mother? Oh!

Traci: [ Sighs ] Oh, my god. Poor nick. He must have been just terrified. And the whole time that little christian was missing...

Jack: He was upstairs with mother. Only she thought he was me, her little jackie. Well, they were having a grand old time, playing hide-and-go-seek, drinking hot chocolate...

Ashley: So devastating. She actually thought jack was daddy.

Traci: [ Sighs ] We knew this day had to come, but for it to have arrived so quickly...

Ashley: It was a good thing jack was here because when nick came to pick up christian, he was actually able to smooth things over, thankfully.

Jack: Once they saw what was going on with dina, they were very understanding.

Traci: Oh, that's awfully decent of them, especially since she burned nick's nightclub, stabbed his mother, and then kidnapped this poor, innocent child! He must think she has a personal vendetta against him.

Ashley: Thankfully, she hasn't been charged with anything. I mean, not yet, anyway.

Jack: Look, we all know there is going to be a next time. Mother is running out of lives, and she's going to be acting irrationally more often than not. It may not turn out as well as it did for christian. In fact, it could end up a whole lot worse.

[ Door slams ]

Billy: Okay, what are we working with? Any new deals, takeovers, surpluses in sam's diaper? Lay it on me. I want to hear everything.

Cane: Okay, all right, billy. Seriously, the joke is over, okay? So you don't have to turn up here pretending to be an executive so you can get a paycheck, all right? So just go, have some fun. You know what, you can go and play with your race horse, all right? I just don't want you to feel like you're gonna get in the way.

Billy: Fletcher fabrications? Nice. Somebody's using their noggin. Vertical integration. That's good. Good acquisition price.

Cane: All right, seriously, i mean it. You can go. Just mosey on down the road.

Billy: I'm giving you a compliment, cane, but it's gonna stop there. This mcmahon deal? Third generation, family lost interest. The grandson's been trying to unload this dog for years.

Cane: I don't have time for this, all right?

Billy: [ Sighs ]

[ Door opens, closes ] Esther! How's the feather duster treating ya? Whoa. You are definitely not esther. Now I know why you're trying to get rid of me.

Traci: You know me and the silver lining. You guys have finally stopped fighting over the company so that mother's needs can come first.

Jack: Well, mom's the top priority, but the battle is hardly over.

Traci: Well, I'll take peace any way I can get it.

Ashley: Okay, you guys, here comes the rough part. I think we all expected mother to be functioning at a much higher level for a much longer period of time. But fate is not always kind, and this disease is definitely not.

Jack: And things are deteriorating rapidly.

Ashley: We have some difficult decision to make.

Jack: I think we should keep her at home as long as we can --

Ashley: How are we gonna do that, jack? Realistically, how? She drives caregivers away as fast as you hire them. She's belligerent, she's pushy. And she's clever. In spite of this alzheimer's disease that she has, she's managing to bulldoze her way through almost any situation. You saw what happened yesterday.

Jack: So, what are you suggesting, handcuffs? A straightjacket?

Traci: No, jack, of course not. Nobody wants anything like that.

Ashley: I proposed a solution a few weeks ago, that we find a memory care facility, get things in order for when the time came. You weren't open to considering that then.

Jack: The thought of sending our mother off after the life she has lived makes me sick to my stomach.

Ashley: Me, too, jack, but i think we have to be realistic.

Jack: She needs family now!

Ashley: What she needs is medical attention. She needs professional care more than anything. And of course we can visit her every day, as often as we want.

Jack: Yeah, and she'll be surrounded all day by strangers who don't know her.

Traci: Jack, none of this is easy. We find ourselves in a position I never dreamed we would be in. But we have to remember, especially now, at this crossroads, we have to keep an open mind.

Ashley: Okay, look, I did some research.

Jack: Oh, you've already found a luxury cell for her?

Ashley: Just listen, please. This is one of the most highly regarded memory care facilities in the midwest, okay? Look at this place. The rooms, the activities, and the grounds are beautiful. And they have top-notch medical care.

Traci: I have to admit, it looks much nicer than I thought.

Ashley: Isn't it pretty?

Jack: Believe me, looks can be deceiving.

Ashley: Jack, we get that you're concerned, okay?

Jack: Okay, no one's saying this, so I'm gonna say it. How do you think dina is going to react to these plans once we share them with her? You think she's just gonna pack up her duds and go off gently into that good night? I sure as hell don'T.

Ashley: I thought of that, and... I think what we do is we present it as a holiday, that she's going to this luxurious resort hotel with every amenity she could ever possibly imagine. And the best thing of all, jack, she'll be safe.

Abby: [ Sighs ]

Scott: Thanks for not spraying that stuff in my eyes.

Abby: Yeah, well, that's about the only favor you're gonna get from me today. I don't know what this ambush is supposed to be about, but I have work to do.

Scott: Can you give me a minute, please? Just -- just hear me out.

Abby: Scott, what's left to discuss? Huh? Sharon already publicly branded me a slut in front of half the athletic club.

Scott: I'm sorry about that.

Abby: Not half as sorry as i am. I never set out to hurt her. Then again, I wasn't the one who was lying to her as I was moving into her house and sharing her bed.

Scott: I regret it, abby. More than I can say.

Abby: Which part do you regret, exactly? Lying to sharon about us? The fact that there was an us, however brief it was? Or moving into her house and having to give me up, kinda-sorta? Because it seems to me like you were playing us both.

Scott: That's your interpretation.

Abby: Really. Hmm. Because I found this in the pile of belongings that sharon left at my doorstep. I assume it was for her, not me.

Billy: Billy abbott, cane's partner here at chancellor industries.

Bridgette: Bridgette. Pleased to meet you.

Billy: Pleasure is all mine.

Cane: All right, that's enough. For the record, billy is not my partner. His mom just gave him the job because she kind of feels bad for him and doesn't want him to get into trouble.

Billy: Right after she did the same thing for you.

Cane: Yeah, but, you see, the difference is, I actually work for a paycheck.

Billy: It's my first day. Give me a break, right?

Bridgette: Well, I have to get back to sam so you can go to your meeting.

Billy: Ooh! A meeting. That sounds fun!

Cane: Yeah, okay, thank you, bridgette.

Billy: So that's the nanny. Live-in?

Cane: Knock it off.

Billy: I'm sure your relationship is purely professional.

Cane: Uh, yes, it is. And, right now, all I want to do is get to this meeting.

Billy: Great. I'll drive. Your car's always a mess.

Cane: No. No. You're not coming.

Billy: Co-C.E.O., My friend.

Cane: Okay, which is the job title your mom gave you.

Billy: A title very much deserved.

Cane: Yeah, not really because it was a mistake because you're a liability.

Billy: Oh, I bow to the master. You're the one that sank brash & sassy pretty much on his own.

Cane: [ Chuckles ] Well, you see, right now, though, I'm the man to watch for 2018 while you're still, what, the man to...worry about.

Billy: No, see, starting now, we're bot the men to watch. Right, partner?

Cane: [ Sighs ]

Scott: Will you -- will you stop, please? I need to get this out. I -- I wasn't playing games with either of you. I have feelings for both of you. You and sharon.

Abby: What am I supposed to do with that, scott? Please, tell me. Enlighten me.

Scott: Abby --

Abby: That's what I thought. Mm-hmm. Look, I need to salvage whatever I can right now. My reputation is trashed, my family is a wreck, and all i have to cling onto is my job. And my dad and victoria are not gonna be thrilled if this little...whatever it was between us goes majorly public.

Scott: I'll take the blame. All of it.

Abby: Don't do me any favors. Now, I just want to keep my head down and get on with my job. And my life. Preferably, without you in it. Now, get out of my car.

Jack: I got it. Thanks.

Ashley: Are you sure you want to be alone with mother?

Traci: Oh, don't worry. Everything will be just fine. I promise I won't let her out of my sight. And, listen, you guys, don't feel like you have to hurry back. Take all the time you need. Tour the place. See what you need to see.

Jack: Okay, that's all I'm agreeing to. I'm not gonna let you rush me into anything.

Ashley: Well, of course, jack. I mean, this is a major decision for all of us. You can tour as many facilities as you want every day of the week. We can come back here and talk about the pros and cons and take it from there. I just thought we should look at the most promising facility first, you know?

Traci: All right. Good luck, you guys. I will be anxious to hear all about it.

Jack: Okay, you take care.

Ashley: All right. Bye-bye.

Dina: Oh! I thought I heard everyone leaving. Thank goodness there's still a friendly face around here.

Traci: Well, hello!

Dina: Hello there!

Traci: Look at you! It's great to see you.

Dina: You, too.

Traci: And don't you worry. I think that all the faces around here are friendly faces. We all sure love you, and we care about you so much.

Dina: Well, I do have to warn you, I can be a bit judgmental at times.

Traci: Oh! Don't worry. It's perfectly all right.

Dina: Oh, my dear friend kay warned me that john would never pop the question if I didn't lighten up a bit.

Traci: Kay, as in kay chancellor?

Dina: The one and only. Oh, yes. Of course, she was a bit feisty and judgmental herself back then.

Traci: Then I don't think katherine ever changed.

Dina: I agree.

Traci: So, listen, are you by any chance hungry? Would you like to have a bite to eat together?

Dina: Well, as it happens, I'm famished! [ Laughs ]

Traci: [ Laughs ] Oh, well, that's perfect. We'll have a bite and we will catch up.

Dina: You are such a charming lady.

Traci: Thank you. The same can be said for you.

Dina: Uh, remind me, what is your name again, dear?

Traci: I'm traci.

Dina: Traci. Oh. Such a lovely name. Well, shall we?

Devon: So, we are closing in on signing a new artist by the end of this month. It's a singer-songwriter out of tennessee who's built quite the following on viewclick.

Lily: Oh, wow! That's great! I mean, there's no better feeling than doing what you love and being good at it.

Devon: It's like you and modeling.

Lily: [ Chuckles ] I had my moments, you know.

Devon: So, um, what's going on in your personal life? Is there anything new with cane?

Lily: Uh...not really.

Devon: Is the, um, divorce on or off?

Lily: Um, we're kind of in a holding pattern.

Devon: Well, that says a lot to me right there.

Lily: You know, charlie said the funniest thing yesterday.

Devon: [ Chuckles ] Okay. I don't mean to pressure you. I can tell you'd rather not talk about things.

Lily: Thank you for understanding.

Devon: Yeah.

Cane: Hey. You know, billy, tailgating people like that's only gonna cause an accident.

Billy: It's not my fault you drive like a grandma on a sunday morning. Thank you.

Cane: All right, look, if you're gonna be part of this, I need you to behave, okay?

Billy: Yes, daddy.

Cane: All right, you know what that means? That means less talking, more listening.

Billy: Sorry, I wasn't listening. Who are we meeting again?

Cane: I didn't say.

Billy: This looks good.

Cane: Okay, we're meeting with several potential suppliers for our medical devices division, but what's important here is making the contacts, not whether or not we give them a contract this go-around, okay?

Billy: So, that's why you didn't want to bring you new hire J.T. Along, to screw things up?

Cane: No, you see, I'm not worried about J.T. Because right now he's actually at the office working with the executive team, which is where you should be if you actually want to work for a living.

[ Chuckles ]

Phyllis: Well, it is nice to see the two of you breaking bread together.

Billy: Yeah, I think cane would rather break my kneecaps, but I'm working on him.

Cane: Uh, could you please tell me not to hold his breath?

Phyllis: So, how is it going between the two of you? Or was that just my answer?

Cane: I'm sorry, but this can't turn into a cocktail party.

Billy: Cocktails. That's exactly what we're missing. Garšon!

[ Clicks tongue ]

Abby: Son of A...

Scott: Oh, so we're on speaking terms now. What happened to you focusing on your life and job without me in it?

Abby: Well, apparently, you haven't checked your e-mail.

Scott: What the...

Abby: That was my exact reaction.

Scott: I don't understand. Why would victoria put us on an assignment together?

Abby: Well, it's called synergy. It makes perfect sense from a business standpoint.

Hashtag is the perfect outlet to publicize all of newman's various divisions. Not that I want to work with you in any way, shape, or form.

Scott: No, we need to go see victoria.

Abby: [ Scoffs ] Okay, and tell her what? Have you met our boss? It's her way or the highway.

Scott: I feel like she's on a bit of a power trip, but...

Abby: A bit? We're gonna go argue the point with her, and she will see it as an armed insurrection, and we'll both be out on our butts.

Scott: Nah.

Abby: Are you really willing to walk away from hashtag after all of the heart and soul that you've poured into it?

Scott: You're overreacting.

Abby: Am I? Go to victoria. Tell her that you don't want to cooperate. See what that gets you.

Scott: To answer your question, I'm not about to give up my dream position, no.

Abby: This job, it's the only thing that means anything to me right now, and without it, I... look, you and I, we just have to deal with it. We have to put aside our baggage and our chemistry and find a way to work together. If we don't kill each other first.

Ashley: So, I thought the rooms were incredibly comfortable, didn't you? They looked so comfortable. And the rest of the facility was just first-rate. I mean, the activity room with the spa and the pool and all those great things. And did you smell what was coming from the kitchen? I mean, don't tell mrs. Martinez, but I'm pretty sure --

Jack: Ashley, stop. Stop. Who are you trying to convince, yourself or me?

Ashley: I'm not trying to convince anybody. Okay, you're right. The thought of dropping her off and driving away... more than I can bear. No matter how ritzy the accommodations are.

Jack: Wow. We finally agree on something.

Dina: Ashley was in tears thinking jack was going to come back and knock down her snowman. But instead, he went inside and he got an old scarf out of the closet and a bigger carrot for his nose. Oh, my goodness, it was so precious.

Traci: It sounds like it.

Dina: Oh, it was. You know, whenever there's snow on the ground, I think about that day. And also the times that john would take jackie, ashley, and traci to lake delaney to skate on sunday afternoons. And then we'd all come back to the house and sit by the fire and drink cocoa and eat lots of cookies.

[ Laughs ] And I would say, "darling, isn't that an awful lot of sugar?" And he would say...

Traci: "You only live once."

Dina: Exactly!

Traci: I love to hear you talk about those days.

Dina: Oh, thank you.

Traci: And how fondly you think of the joys of motherhood.

Dina: Oh, I do. Do you have children?

Traci: Yes. Yes, I did. I had a precious little girl named colleen.

[ Sighs ] But she died a few years ago.

Dina: Oh, darling, I'm so sorry. That has to be the biggest loss of all.

Traci: [ Sniffles ] It certainly sounds like you love your children, though.

Dina: Oh, of course I do!

Traci: [ Sniffles ] You know, being a parent can be so complicated, and overwhelming and it certainly is a lifetime commitment.

Dina: Oh, to say the very least.

Traci: I've heard that some women, um, regret it. They feel like their children are holding them back. Sometimes they even fantasize about taking off. Now, that's certainly something that I couldn't do, but...

Dina: But... that doesn't mean it's mutually exclusive, does it?

Traci: I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean.

Dina: Well, leaving doesn't have to mean that the love is gone.

[ Doorbell rings ]

Traci: Excuse me.

Dina: Surely.

"The young and the restless"

will continue.

Devon: The kids had to have brought their own alcohol to the room because there's no way that anybody here would have given it to them.

Lily: Well, when I was managing the place, that never would have happened. And the staff would have known right away that underage drinking was going on.

Devon: Well, it's not gonna happen again because the staff has been warned.

Lily: Yeah, so have the twins, even though they weren't drinking any alcohol. And hopefully now with J.T. Back in town, that will help straighten reed out.

Devon: I, uh... I assume that mattie and reed are no longer a thing.

Lily: I don't know. I haven't talked to her, but i would guess not, which is probably for the best. Thank you.

Devon: Thanks, man.

[ Cellphone rings ]

Lily: Oh, sorry, this is work. I have to get this.

Devon: It's cool. I need to get back to the office anyway, so, see ya.

Lily: Okay. Bye. Abby. Hey. Is this about work?

Abby: Partly work, partly salvation.

Lily: Meaning...?

Abby: How would you like a free trip with yours truly to leave all of our crap behind in the dust?

Traci: You are not welcome here.

Graham: I just stopped by to see how dina's doing.

Traci: Mother is just fine. Now, please leave.

Dina: Graham! Oh, darling, it's so good to see you. Oh, please come in. It's cold out there.

Traci: No, I don't think that's a very good idea.

Dina: Oh, nonsense.

Traci: No, in fact, that's a very bad idea.

Dina: Oh, will you stop? Graham and I are friends. Now, will you kindly step aside?

Traci: Go. Now.

Dina: Just knock it off. This is my house. Now, let the man in!

Traci: [ Sighs ]

Graham: Splendid to see you, dear. You're beautiful, as always.

Dina: Oh, wonderful! Thank you. [ Chuckles ] Oh!

Traci: So, what brings you back to genoa city?

Graham: Why, dina, of course.

Dina: [ Chuckles ]

Traci: Well, she is not really up to receiving guests. I'm sure you understand.

Dina: Please. I can take care of myself. And graham is my friend, and I'm delighted he's here.

Graham: If we could be alone for just a few minutes.

Traci: No. Please show yourself out.

Dina: You've got to stop. I won't tolerate this rudeness.

Graham: If we could talk privately for just a minute, I bet I can convince you.

Traci: [ Sighs ]

Ashley: I thought I could do it.

Jack: Seeing the place, walking around, knowing it would mean so much in our mother's life.

Ashley: Like it was the beginning of the end?

Jack: She's not there yet. She still has good days.

Ashley: Mostly bad, jack. But it doesn't mean that just because she abandoned us when we were young that we're gonna walk away from her now.

Jack: Okay, we are agreed, though. She's not going to any memory care center or anything like that. She stays at home as long --

Ashley: Okay, but she's gonna have to have 24/7 care, live-in.

Jack: We'll do what we have to do, that's all.

Ashley: It's not gonna be easy.

Jack: Well, nothing meaningful really is.

Ashley: That's true.

Jack: It'd sure help if you'd lighten up on this amendment that keeps me in the office all the time.

Ashley: You are not going to do this. You are not going to use our mother's alzheimer's as a bargaining chip.

Jack: Listen to me. If mother is to be --

[ Cellphone rings ] Wait a minute. Traci.

Ashley: Put it on speaker.

Jack: Trace, what's going on?

Traci: Jack, you've got to get home right away. Graham showed up, and he forced me out of the house. He's locked me out. I can't get back in.

Jack: What?!

Traci: Mrs. Martinez is still out shopping. Graham is in there alone with mother. Please hurry!

Jack: Stay right where you are. We're at crimson lights. We're on our way. Don't do anything. Come on.

Billy: So, what's going on with these high-powered suppliers of yours? What, do they think we got all day to sit around the club and drink cocktails?

Phyllis: [ Slurping ] What?

Billy: What time they gonna be here, cane?

Cane: I don't know, billy.

Billy: Well, they haven't called, they haven't text. I mean, that's just plain rude.

Cane: Well, maybe you just need to get over yourself.

Billy: No, it's disrespectful. They're suppliers, we're clients. There's a food chain. We all know how it works. I say we blow off this meeting just to teach them a lesson.

Cane: Well, if you want, you can leave. The door's right there.

Billy: Oh, no, no, no, no. Me, you, we're attached at the hip. Wherever you go, that's where I'll be.

Cane: I really don't need this today, billy, okay?

Phyllis: I could go for another drink. Would you get me one from the bar, please? I'll be over there in a second.

Billy: You're adorable. Of course I will. You? You good? Cool.

Cane: Thank you for getting rid of him.

Phyllis: I think I know why you're on edge, but it is not billy's fault. Although, I realize he can be a pain.

Cane: [ Chuckles ] I wouldn't, uh -- I wouldn't say that I'm on edge.

Phyllis: We know that nothing's gonna get done until you and lily get your cards on the table. Now, are you ever going to stupidly drink enough to sleep with another woman ever again?

Cane: Never.

Phyllis: Okay, then stop dancing around and make your case to your wife.

Lily: Yeah. Sounds like a plan. Okay. Bye.

Billy: Hey.

Lily: Hi.

Billy: Could I ask you a little bit of a nosey, personal question?

Lily: Uh, depends on the question.

Billy: What's going on with you and kangaroo boy these days?

Lily: [ Chuckles ] Um, that is nosey, personal, and none of your business.

Billy: I know, but a little bit of a funny story. See, my mother put me in charge of chancellor industries along with cane.

Lily: You're kidding me.

Billy: No, I'm not, and when he shows up to work in a bad mood, it kind of becomes my business.

Lily: Right, well, I don't know what you expect me to do about it.

Billy: Yeah, you're right. Forget I said anything. I don't want to encourage it. You're better off without him.

Lily: [ Chuckles ] You know what's hilarious to me?

Billy: Hmm?

Lily: How alike you two are. Maybe that's why you never got along. Because you're both these, you know, loving, kind, intelligent, hardworking, terrific fathers.

Billy: Don't forget easy on the eyes.

Lily: Right, but you both have your flaws. But where cane has you beat is that he knows what he wants. He has his priorities straight. He's not just drifting through life making it up as he goes along. He's this stable, mature person that you aren't, and that's why you're jealous of him. Just admit it.

Billy: That's what I thought. You sound like a woman who doesn't want to give up on her marriage. So do us all a favor so we can skip the drama. Tell him that you love him and that you want him back.

Dina: I haven't forgiven you, you know.

Graham: For what?

Dina: Oh! Running off in the night like a thief. Leaving me with these dreadful people.

Graham: I'm sorry about that, but they didn't give me too many options. It was so delightful to see you and little jackie yesterday.

Dina: Oh, I know. Thanks for helping me out.

Graham: Always, my dear.

Dina: Jackie! There you are! Come on. Are you hiding from mommy? Hmm? Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Oh, I'm so glad I found you. Okay. Now, we'll wait right here.

Graham: Hello, dina.

Dina: Oh, hello. Look! I found my little jackie. Isn't he precious?

Graham: He sure is. He's a little charmer, isn't he?

Dina: Oh, I was so afraid I'd lost him.

Graham: We have to be careful here. The people here don't trust you. They might want to take your little jackie away. They accuse you of being a bad mother.

Dina: What do you mean? I'm a very good mother. They can't take him away! I wouldn't let them.

Graham: No, no, no. Of course not. I'm here to help you, but you can't stay here.

Dina: All right, all right. Let's go.

Graham: No, no. Let's go this way. We can slip out the back and no one will see you, okay?

Dina: Okay. Come on. Let's go. Oh, goody goody. You little duck, you were playing hide-and-go-seek from mommy.

Dina: But in the end, they did take him from me. I had no say in the matter.

Graham: I'm so sorry to hear that. But I can help you get away from these awful people, if that's what you want. It'll be just the three of us, our own little adventure.

Dina: [ Chuckles ]

Billy: Oh, my, I forgot your drink.

Phyllis: Oh, uh, please step into my office.

Billy: Excuse me.

Lily: Yeah, sure.

Billy: Let me guess, cane decided to move the meeting somewhere else?

Phyllis: Well, it was postponed, but would you please stop torturing the guy?

Billy: Oh, I'm not doing that, he's doing it to himself.

Phyllis: Mm, they are kind of hopeless, though. You know, I tried to help, but i think these two are gonna need more than a slap in the face to get it together.

Billy: Yeah. Ooh, look at that. Maybe not.

Phyllis: Our work is done here.

Billy: Let's get out of here.

Phyllis: Mm-hmm.

Lily: Hi.

Cane: Hey.

Lily: Um, I was gonna, uh, call you about this weekend. Charlie has an indoor track meet up in madison.

Cane: Oh, cool. Um, I was gonna text you earlier today.

Lily: Yeah, I was gonna text you, too. It wasn't anything urgent.

Cane: Yeah, um, I just wanted to reach out to you, you know, share some things with you and just talk.

Lily: Hear your voice.

Cane: Yeah, but we don't talk anymore. You know, it used to be so easy. Did I ruin us?

Lily: I don't know. I just, you know, see you living your life, and moving on, drifting away.

Cane: I haven't moved on from you.

Lily: You haven't?

Cane: No. Not at all. Every time the phone rings, my stomach clenches because I think it's my attorney calling and he's telling the divorce is back on. But it hasn't happened.

Lily: I haven't been able to move on, either. It's just -- it's too hard.

Cane: They why is it getting back together isn't any easier?

Jack: Where is our mother? Is she all right?

Graham: Dina's fine. She's upstairs in her room.

Ashley: Mother!

Dina: I'll be right there, dear!

Jack: I want you gone before she gets down here.

Graham: So you can do the same abysmal job in caring for her?

Traci: How dare you!

Graham: Now, I knew you wouldn't be able to cope, but as I understand it, you stood by and let her stab nikki newman, kidnap a small child, and apparently burn a nightclub to the ground while almost killing your own brother. Now, are you starting to rethink the positive influence I've had in your mother's life?

Ashley: Not even the least little bit.

Jack: If you cared at all about our mother, you would have warned us.

Graham: You have no idea the things I have done for your mother.

Ashley: Get out! I'll calling the police. Get out right now.

Jack: No, no, no, no, no. Give me the pleasure of escorting this one out.

Dina: Hold the door open for me, as well. Thanks to graham, I'll no longer be staying in this horrid prison.

Abby: What, are you stalking me now?

Scott: We couldn't talk at the office. I've been riding this thing up and down for the last 20 minutes. If we're gonna work together, we need to get some things out in the open.

Abby: What is it with you? Hmm? Haven't we bared our soul enough lately?

Scott: I admitted I had feelings for both you and sharon. Now it's your turn. How deep were your feelings for me? And don't try to say you didn't have any because we both know better.

Abby: Why are you pushing this? Is this some sort of competition of who likes who more?

Scott: Look, we need to be honest. It's the only thing we have left.

Abby: Okay. You want me to be honest? Yes, I had feelings for you. Were they real? Were they idiotic? Was it a rebound? Probably all of the above. But the one thing that I am sure about is that I am going to be much more careful in the future when it comes to relationships. So I have found a way to postpone our synergy project so you and I won't have to be working on top of each other.

Scott: Without ticking off victoria? How'd you manage that?

Abby: I sold her on a campaign to expand brash & sassy to europe. Lily and I are going to paris.

Au revoir!

Lily: Thank you.

Cane: For what?

Lily: For being brave and taking the first step. I'm really glad that we talked.

Cane: Yeah. Me, too. I mean, I had to say those things to you. Otherwise, I think I would have just -- I don't know, exploded.

Lily: Well, that would have been scary.

Cane: Yeah, well, it's not half as scary as the thought that I could lose you. You know? In the divorce.

Lily: Maybe we should, um, put that aside for now.

Cane: You don't know how happy I am to hear you say that.

Lily: Well, it's getting late.

Cane: Yeah.

Lily: I should probably go.

Cane: Yeah. You have a wonderful evening, okay?

Lily: Thanks. Take care.

Cane: Yeah. Yeah. You, too. Um, can we do this again? Can we talk?

Lily: Yeah.

Graham: Let's get you out of here, dina.

Dina: I'll lead the way.

Ashley: No, you don'T.

Traci: No, you're not taking mother anywhere.

Graham: It's dina's decision.

Ashley: That's not true, and you know it.

Dina: Oh, don't patronize me.

Graham: Come on. We're just down the block. Let's go.

Jack: Our mother stays.

Graham: What part of "we're leaving" do you not understand?

Dina: Oh, my god, jack!

Ashley: And don't come back!

Dina: What are you doing?

Traci: Good riddance!

Dina: [ Gasps ] What have you done?

Jack: Just taking out the trash.

Graham: You'll regret that. This is far from over! We're back in wisconsin. My medical power of attorney stands! I'm coming back with a full force of the law on my side! And then I'll take dina away from you for good!
