Episode # 11220 ~ Victor & Nick's feud is made public; Sharon receives a distress call; Gloria questions Jack about Nikki.
Provided By Suzanne
Gloria: Just the way you like it.
Jack: How -- how did you know...
Gloria: Because I am good at my job.
Jack: Yes, you are.
Gloria: So, we haven't talked about the M.S. Fundraiser. How was it? The pictures in the chronicle were dazzling.
Jack: A night to remember, no doubt about it.
Gloria: And did Dina enjoy herself, as well?
Jack: I think so.
Gloria: You think so?
Jack: I didn't have a chance to discuss it with her.
Gloria: Really? You were her escort. How could you not --
Jack: I left the party early with Nikki. My mother was less-than-pleased.
Nikki: Well, I'm so glad you could come over today. We can catch up.
Victoria: Yeah, you can tell me about all of the time you've been spending with Jack lately.
Nikki: Okay, I guess your brother told you that I spent the night at the Abbott cabin.
Victoria: What? No. Abby told me that she walked in on you two kissing.
Nikki: [Sighs] She totally blew that out of proportion. I was merely thanking Jack for his support, before and after the benefit.
Victoria: I see, and he showed his support by whisking you off to his private hideaway?
Nikki: I needed time away, and, please note, we had separate bedrooms. I don't know why you think anything else would be going on, anyway.
Victoria: Well, maybe, if it weren't for all of the other secrets you've been keeping from me.
Neil: Mm. Morning.
Cane: Have you and Devon maybe come to decision if you're gonna bring me on board?
Neil: We talked it over.
Cane: Well, that's great. And...?
Neil: I'm sorry, man. We, uh... we can't make you a part of the Hamilton-winters group.
Cane: It's -- it's okay. I just needed to ask for lily's sake. I appreciate it.
Neil: Cane. You're a good man. You're a hard worker. I am sure that you'll find another position.
Cane: It's -- it's cool. I appreciate it, Neil. Thank you.
Neil: Wait, wait, wait. Wait a minute. Have a seat.
Sharon: I saw you sneak out of the party. I'm not surprised. Something was obviously bothering you the entire evening.
Nick: That would be my dad.
Sharon: Oh. And now?
Nick: Nope. Dad is not on the agenda for discussion today.
Sharon: I didn't know we had an agenda.
Nick: Yeah. I'm way more curious about our daughter, our very mature faith, and her summer fun at camp. You know, since she's been gone, she's only called me one time.
Sharon: That's because the campers are only allowed to use their phones once a week.
Nick: Well, it's probably best faith is gone. You know, she's always been able to pick up on stress in the family.
Sharon: You think you'll be able to patch things up with Victor before she comes home?
Scott: Hey, glad I caught you. I just got off the phone with Victor. He's gone again.
Abby: Gone? As in out of town? Well, did he say where he went, or why?
Scott: I was hoping you'd know.
Abby: Me? No. No. I -- I have no idea where he went, or why, or anything.
Scott: Wow, that's, uh... that's interesting.
Abby: What is?
Scott: You just reminded me of what a bad liar you are.
[Cell phone rings]
Dina: Ashley. I saw that you called me, dear. Is everything all right?
Ashley: Everything's better than all right. How would you feel about spending the day at the spa, getting pampered with Abby and me?
Dina: Oh, a day at the spa with you and Abby sounds fabulous. When were you thinking?
Ashley: I was thinking today if you're available.
Dina: Graham, do I have anything on the agenda, conference calls or meetings?
Graham: You're free all day. Go. Enjoy.
Dina: Ashley, we're on.
Ashley: Fantastic. I'll book it right now, and I will see you later. Bye.
Dina: [Giggles] Ashley wants me to spend the day with her and Abby.
Graham: That is wonderful. It's exactly why we didn't go back to Paris, to spend more time with your family.
Dina: Well, it's what I hoped for, but I never imagined it could ever happen.
Abby: I get the whole "journalist" thing, Scott. I do. I really do. But, mostly, it just comes off intrusive and nosy.
Scott: First, what's with the air quotes around "journalist?" Second, I know you're worried about Victor, with good reason, which is why I expressed sympathy for you, if you'll recall. So you don't have to be so defensive or, uh, or lie to me.
Abby: Did you ever think that maybe I'm just annoyed because you've spoken to my father and I haven't?
Scott: Oh, I'm sure you're jealous and resentful, but you know something you don't want to tell me. And I'm talking more than what happened between your father and nick at the concert, or afterwards. It just makes me want to know. Is it about where he is?
Abby: I told you. I don't know where he is.
Scott: That was actually authentic. So, are you keeping something from me that is the reason why he's taken off? I mean, it's more than just Victor saying that nick is no longer part of his family.
Abby: See? You already know everything.
[Cell phone chimes]
Scott: Is that Victor?
Abby: Have you ever thought of ingratiating yourself with another family? No, this isn't about my dad. This is my mom asking me to have a spa day with her and my grandmother. Hmm? Which I am going to say yes to because I would love nothing more than a personal day away from Newman and away from Scott Grainger. Goodbye.
Scott: Goodbye. [Groans softly]
Sharon: Oh, Nicholas...
Nick: I'm fine.
Sharon: You know, how many times has Victor done this, jump right to the cutoff and announce to someone who's close to him that they're no longer a part of his life?
Nick: Yeah, look how that turned out for my brother.
Sharon: Don't even joke about that. It's awful, the way that he's treated you and Adam. He's punished you and anyone who's ever dared to stand up to him. You know, eventually, he's gonna regret losing you, and he's gonna find a way to get you back into his life.
Nick: Is that a promise or a threat?
Sharon: Oh, hi!
Scott: Nick. I just spoke to Victor, who mentioned he was out of town.
Scott: There a problem with that?
Nick: No, you just announce that you just had a conversation with my father just to get a rise out of me? It's not gonna happen.
Scott: You know, I think I'm growing on him.
Scott: So, can I take you out to lunch?
Sharon: I would love that, but I have a shift at the crisis hotline.
Scott: Well, how about after?
Sharon: If you don't mind waiting...
Scott: I can survive anything if it means time with you. Even being pleasant to your ex. Deal? Come on...
Hilary: "It was gowns, glamour, and glitz at the Newman family benefit for the Nicole Newman research center."
Mariah: You are an inspiration. What? I'm serious.
Hilary: Are you drunk this early? What is wrong with you?
Mariah: I'm giving you your final ego stroking, since I know you have such a deep need to be worshipped. It'll probably be the last props you get before you broadcast that footage of Victor and nick rumbling. I predict by dinnertime, you will be tossed out of town. In fact, I'm pretty sure you should be packing, not rehearing.
Hilary: [Scoffs] I already told you that Victor said that I am welcome to air the footage, any and all of it.
Mariah: Victor almost ruined you when you talked smack about his company. What do you think's gonna happen when you embarrass his family?
Hilary: Why would he give me the go-ahead if he didn't want people to see the video?
Mariah: Maybe he's setting you up. Did you ever think of that? Either way, when the Newman dirty laundry hit the airwaves, you'll be dead meat, and I have dibs on your dressing room.
Neil: What are you gonna do about Juliet's baby?
Cane: Well, lily wants me to support her, and, uh, I will -- I will do that financially.
Neil: Lily can't be the one to make you step up. I mean, that's on you.
Cane: And I will, okay? But, Neil, I need to get my family and the kids back on track first.
Neil: I understand that. Lily really loves you, okay? She needs some time to work through all this.
Cane: She will have it. Whatever happens next, it is her call, but it's -- it's the kids. I just -- I don't know what to do. I -- I just have no idea what to do with them.
Neil: Well, friend, I have been there -- I have -- with lily and Devon. It's hard knowing that you let the kids down. It never gets easier.
Cane: You know, today, before the kids woke up, I left the house so I didn't have to look in their eyes and see these faces just full of disappointment and contempt.
Neil: Well, they're hurt. They're angry. They woke up and found out that dad's not a superhero. That's tough for any kid to find out. Come on.
Cane: Which is why I need this job to pan out, Neil. I need to let them know that their dad can come back from his mistakes. I need this.
Neil: Good luck, man.
Cane: I appreciate it, Neil. Thank you. Thanks.
Ravi: I didn't mean to overstep with Dina. You know, when I returned her glasses and she seemed confused, maybe that wasn't my place.
Ashley: Not at all. You saw something out of the ordinary, and you wanted to make me aware. I mean, it's the reason why I invited my mother out to spend the day. I want to observe her behavior.
Ravi: Okay, so, what's the plan?
Ashley: Spa day. The ultimate anxiety-free, stress-free activity.
Ashley: Abby's coming along.
Ravi: Oh, the three of you? That's brilliant, and hopefully relaxing.
Ashley: Yeah, well, I'm gonna listen to my mother, I mean, really listen to her. I'm not gonna jump to any conclusions or make any judgments. She wants to have a relationship with me, so I'm gonna try to make that happen, but I guess the first step is really seeing if she's herself, right?
Ravi: Yeah, well, will you let me know how it goes?
Ashley: Of course. And, by the way, you didn't overstep. You're just being a friend.
Ravi: Yeah, well, I really hope I'm wrong.
Ashley: I do, too.
Gloria: I'm going to lunch early. Graham's taking me out.
Jack: Graham? Mother's graham? Can I assume she's not going with you?
Gloria: He said he was free, and he asked if I was interested.
Jack: Tell me, how much more appealing do you find him now that he stands to inherit my mother's estate?
Gloria: [Chuckles] He's very handsome. Being an heir doesn't make him less so.
Jack: Gloria? When you're turning on the charm, when you're, uh, helping empty his expense account, could you do a little digging?
Gloria: [Clicks tongue] I told you, Jack. I'm not gonna do your dirty work. You want to get the recon on graham, hire a PI.
Jack: It's not about him. It's about mother. Ashley seems to think... you know what? Never mind. It's probably nothing.
Gloria: Good! 'Cause I don't want to be thinking about you or your agenda on my date. Ta-ta, Jack.
Sharon: And you have those numbers I gave you? Good. Is there anything else you'd like to share with me today? Okay. Take care of yourself.
Sharon: Crisis hotline, this is Sharon. Can you tell me why you called? Hello?
Crystal: I've been having sex with men. For money. I want to stop, but they won't let me.
Sharon: Okay, I'll -- I'll try to help you. Can you tell me your name?
Sharon: Okay. Crystal, what's being done to you is wrong. There are people who want to help you. Now, can you please tell me where you are?
Crystal: No police! No!
Sharon: No, not police, social workers. They can help you get out of this situation. How can they reach you? An address or a phone number... we just want you to be safe.
Crystal: If they knew I was calling...
Sharon: Crystal, who are the people? We won't let them hurt you again. Crystal?
Nikki: So, did you get enough to eat?
Victoria: You sound like me with reed.
Nikki: Well, you only gave me one-word answers at breakfast, so I guess that's what he does to you, too.
Victoria: Mom, I had to hear from nick that your M.S. Symptoms were flaring up. I mean, I get that you don't want to tell dad, but why wouldn't you tell me?
Nikki: Honey, I don't like to talk about it. It just makes me feel vulnerable. It makes me feel like I have no control over my body or my life or anything. And I want to make decisions. [Sighs] Including doing that concert without being second-guessed, like what your brother did.
Victoria: Did Jack know?
Nikki: That doesn't matter.
Victoria: Oh, so that's a yes. I guess you two are getting closer, then.
Nikki: And that upsets you. Did you think I was gonna take your father back?
Victoria: I had a really nice talk with dad the other day, and... it just made me realize that I miss him, and I assumed that you miss him, too.
Nikki: Well, does that mean you're ready to forgive him?
Victoria: I don't know, mom, but I saw the way that he was looking at you when you were playing. It was complete adoration. I don't think a romance like that is inevitable. Like maybe our family is meant to heal, and we're meant to go back to how things were before we found out about Adam and Chloe.
Nikki: Okay, wait a minute. Think about what you're saying. Do you mean go back to where we were when your father was lying to us, when he was punishing your brother, when he brought that deranged woman back to town? You know, all of this is moot, anyway. You need to know that your father made the decision to walk away from me.
Abby: [Sighs] Can I tell you how much I need this? After all the stress I've been under, I need to detox for an entire day.
Ashley: Oh, me, too, and the thought of us all sitting around drinking cucumber waters and getting massages was just too good to resist, I couldn't.
Abby: Mm, I got to tell you, mom, I'm proud of you for letting Dina into your life.
Ashley: Thank you. Oh! Mother.
Dina: Hello, girls!
Abby: [Chuckles] How great is this? Are you gonna do the whole thing -- massage, facial, spa, steam room? I want it all.
Dina: Well, so do I. Ashley, dear, thanks so much for arranging this. I'm so excited!
Ashley: I thought it'd be nice if we have a little bonding experience.
Dina: Mm. "Bonding?" Well, that's a word I never thought I'd hear you say.
Ashley: Well, how about the word "indulgence," huh?
Ashley: Yeah. Let the pampering begin.
Abby: Oh! Okay, let's go!
Dina: I can't wait.
Graham: I'm glad you could join me on such short notice.
Gloria: Well, we career women like to get away for an hour from the daily grind. And I so enjoyed getting to know you in the sauna. When your name popped up, I admit, I had a shiver of anticipation.
Graham: Mm. Well, I'm flattered.
Gloria: Mm. Now, tell me, is this, uh... hush-hush?
Gloria: Does Dina know that you are having lunch with a new friend?
Graham: We hadn't discussed my plans for the day.
Gloria: I thought you two shared everything.
Graham: Not everything.
Sharon: She sounded terrified of being overheard. You know, I think that she's being held captive, and whoever has her yanked the phone away.
Paul: Okay, did she give you any other information besides her first name?
Sharon: Nothing. Just Crystal. No location. No description. No word on who's doing this to her.
Paul: Okay, well, crystal probably isn't her real name, anyway. You know they give them fake work names, or they're too scared to use their own.
Scott: You know, I wonder if she could be a victim of the sex ring that Christine mentioned to me.
Sharon: Sex ring?
Sharon: What are you talking about?
Jack: I understand you're no longer at brash & sassy!
Cane: Yeah. That's right.
Jack: How did that come to be?
Cane: Well, Victoria let me go.
Jack: Can I ask why?
Cane: Well, I assume, Jack, that you know that Juliet Helton named me in her sexual harassment suit against the company, but, uh, there was no harassment. But, basically, I just wasn't completely honest with Victoria about some key points.
Jack: And you and this woman...
Cane: Had a drunken one-night stand in Tokyo, which I will regret for the rest of my life.
Jack: Many of us have made the same mistake. I cannot stand in judgment.
Cane: I appreciate that. And now I need to fix the damage I've done to my family and my credibility, so I appreciate this phone call, Jack.
Jack: You and jabot have a lot of history.
Cane: Yeah, we do. I enjoyed my time here. And brash & sassy!? You enjoy your time there?
Cane: Okay. So, basically, uh, what you want is me to give you the scoop on brash & sassy!'S marketing and product development strategy. Is that it?
Jack: Only if you're offering.
Cane: So you think that I can help you devise the perfect plan so jabot can take down brash & sassy!?
Jack: There's an interesting proposition.
Cane: Isn't it? But, first, you would have to give me a job, Jack, wouldn't you?
Victoria: Dad walked out? Where did he go?
Nikki: I don't know. He sent me a voicemail saying he would be gone for a while. I guess that's all I'm allowed to know.
Victoria: You're not worried?
Nikki: Honey, I love your father. I always will. But after the concert, I realized that I need to start living a life that I want to live. And that means nobody gets to tell me how to feel or tell me what to think. Nobody -- not my family that I love, not Victor, not the people on the internet that I don't even know. No one!
Victoria: You know, you really are a role model. I don't know why I'm not more like you by now.
Nikki: Is something wrong?
Victoria: Other than my business crumbling? I don't know, mom, I feel like it's being taken apart brick by brick. First, the hockey debacle. [Sighs] Then the lawsuit. Sales figures are down. I had to fire Cane. It's just more bad news.
Nikki: Oh, honey, I wish you had told me sooner.
Victoria: No, no, you were trying to prepare for the concert, and I didn't want to burden you. Like mother, like daughter, I suppose.
Nikki: Aren't we the pair?
Victoria: The good new is that Billy has stepped up, and he is fully committed.
Nikki: Really? To the company, or to you?
Victoria: Mom... Billy moved in with Phyllis.
Nikki: I'm sorry. That must be so painful for you.
Victoria: It's okay, you know, I pushed him away because of dad, and, um, you know, I couldn't expect for him to wait around for me forever. And now Phyllis thinks that I am manipulating Billy by monopolizing all of his time.
Nikki: Well, if Phyllis is telling any of this to Billy, he's certainly not listening.
Victoria: Well, that doesn't mean that it's not serious. Did you know that Billy invited Phyllis over to my house the night of the concert so that she could get to know the kids better?
Nikki: What?! That is so inappropriate. That is so presumptuous of both of them!
Victoria: I know, but Phyllis is a part of Billy's life. And the kids really had a lot of fun spending time with her.
Nikki: Why do you seem so calm about that?
Victoria: Oh, mom, I'm just on overload after the party, after dad and nick got into the fight, and then Abby threw a drink in my face and I fell...
Nikki: You fell? What? Are you all right?
Victoria: I'm fine! Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry.
Nikki: Well, I do worry! What happened? Tell me!
Nikki: Don't move!
Victoria: I'm fine, Mom.
Nikki: Well, I didn't expect you to stop by today.
Nick: Well, things aren't right between us, mom, and I couldn't just leave them like that. Hey, Vick.
Nick: Well, since you're both here, I'll just, uh, you know, fill you in at the same time.
Nikki: Fill us in on what?
Nick: How things are with dad. He came by the bar. You know, he tried to work Noah first, reminded me once again that I am no longer his son...
Nick: Look, I can handle the way things are with me and dad. What I can't handle is anything weird between the three of us.
Nikki: Oh, sweetheart, you know I can't stay mad at you for long.
Victoria: I'm sorry, I can't do that. I can't hug you like it's all okay. You have every right to feel how you want to about dad, but you don't have a right to tell me how I should feel, and I miss him. And I don't want any more lectures from you about it.
Nick: Cool. No more lectures. I just don't want either one of you thinking I was pulling a dad move here and trying to control your lives. It's not who I am. So I'll go. I'll leave you to your visit.
Nikki: No, honey, wait! Please stay. We can watch "the Hilary hour" and watch my star turn on the piano. It'll be fun, even though we know what happened that night. Come on.
Nick: [Laughs] I mean, all right. It might be the last time we'll ever see our happy family in public.
Scott: Christine showed me crime scene photos from a sex-trafficking ring. She thought, uh, investigative reporting might help blow it wide open.
Sharon: What if crystal is part of a sex ring like that?
Paul: Sharon, listen to me. Don't even go there yet. It's so easy to spin out when you think innocent people are suffering.
Sharon: That poor girl.
Paul: Look, look, look. The first priority is to find out where this woman is located, right?
Sharon: She sounded younger than Mariah.
Paul: The department will do what we can. We'll run a missing persons check, and the same for reported runaways.
Scott: You know, if her name's really crystal, you should be able to get a hit.
Sharon: Well, what should I do, other than pray that she calls back?
Paul: Right now, let the police handle it.
Gloria: So, I get a sense from what you're telling me that Dina is a possessive woman.
Graham: People that powerful usually are, but it's not an issue because I am not going anywhere.
Gloria: You're telling me that you have no outside interest?
Graham: Dina knows I'm not a monk.
Gloria: [Laughs] And I'm not a nun. Thank god. [Laughs] And, sadly, I have to get back to the office.
Graham: Well, I'm glad I could steal you away, even if it was just for a short time.
Gloria: Mm. Well, maybe you can steal me for a little longer next time around.
Graham: I look forward to it.
Gloria: So will I.
Dina: [Sighs] If I fall asleep, wake me, will you?
Abby: Mm, not me. I can't even move. I'm like jelly from that massage. It's like the stress just drained right out of me.
Dina: And, Ashley, did the magic work for you, too? 'Cause you really need this the most, dear.
Ashley: I don't know about that.
Dina: Oh, but you're always so busy.
Abby: Oh, don't mind me. I just put together the event of the season.
Dina: [Chuckles] You certainly did, and it was spectacular.
Dina: I was so proud of you, dear.
Abby: Thank you.
Dina: Now maybe it's time for a little romance, hmm? Don't you agree that Abby should get out there, Ashley? More like you and your charming young fellow.
Abby: Are you talking about Ravi? No. He and mom are just co-workers, apparently.
Dina: Oh, please. That Ravi is crazy over your mother. You know, Ashley, you really should enjoy that wonderful young man.
Abby: Not everyone's like you, mother.
Dina: Well, take my advice. Younger men ask for so little, and they give so much. Ooh, the stories I could tell. [Chuckles] But that's for another time and another place.
Ashley: Well, don't censor yourself on our account.
Dina: Oh, all right. I'll give you girls all the dish.
Dina: Some other time.
Abby: Aw, come on! I can't wait! I feel like I know so little about your life.
Dina: Well, maybe we can do another spa day, like this!
Abby: I'd love that.
Ashley: I'd actually like that, too.
Abby: Okay, let's pick a day.
Dina: Well, days I have. Sure do. I just had hoped that I could see more of my family now that I'm staying on in Genoa city. But I just didn't realize how much time I'd have on my hands, waiting for it to happen.
Ashley: I've been envisioning you having these endless rotation of conference calls every day.
Dina: Not since I sold Mergeron. Everything's different now. And I do miss it terribly.
Sharon: I'm sorry, what were you saying?
Scott: Hey, we can rain check if you like. Whatever you need.
Sharon: What I need is to help that girl. I could hear the terror in her voice, the sense of helplessness. I know what that feels like.
Scott: Do you want to tell me about it? I mean, no pressure, but I am sitting here and ready to listen.
Sharon: It happened before I moved to Genoa city. I was in high school. I had a boyfriend. This is not a new story. He pressured me into having sex. And then, later, when I found out I was pregnant, he disappeared. I wasn't ready to be a mother. Adoption seemed like the only answer. At the time, everything was so confusing and chaotic, I didn't know that Cassie had a twin until a few years ago.
Scott: So, the conception, the birth, the adoption -- I mean, every time you turned around, people are taking away your power.
Sharon: And someone took away my power after I moved to Genoa city -- a boyfriend. When I was dating matt Clark, that's when I met nick. And I couldn't get nick off my mind, so I told matt that I just wanted to be friends. We were in his car. I told him to take me home. He wouldn't. I said no, but he didn't care. It didn't matter to him. Nothing I said mattered to him.
Scott: I'm so sorry. I hate what this guy did to you, what they all did to you.
Sharon: You know, I -- I wasn't brave like crystal. I -- I didn't know how to ask for help.
Scott: Hey. Listen to me, Sharon -- and I mean what I'm about to say -- you are the bravest person I've ever met.
Hilary: Onscreen now is a rendering of the Nicole Newman research center for neurological diseases, the focus of the very recent concert and fundraiser.
Mariah: And now, some white-hot footage from the evening. The Genoa city glitterati were treated to an evening of food, fun, and music kicked off by local singer-songwriter Tessa porter.
Nikki: Ah, wasn't she wonderful?
Hilary: Then, the real star of the evening took over. Nikki Newman -- let's take a look at this beautiful gown.
Nikki: Well, at least they didn't call me a role model again.
Mariah: A Chelsea 2.0 custom gown designed for Nikki specifically. I mean, I saw it in person. It was just stunning.
Hilary: Nikki Newman -- she really is a role model for us all.
Nikki: There we go.
Victoria: Well, she's right, you know.
Hilary: But the evening
wasn't all fun and concertos.
Mariah: Well, maybe for you, Hilary, because you were working, but the rest of us had a fantastic evening. That champagne was definitely the good stuff.
Hilary: Well, a couple of the Newmans didn't have the bubbly on their minds. In fact, Victor Newman and son nick found themselves in a very tense disagreement in the parking garage.
Victor: You used your mother who practiced so hard for this concert. You set out to destroy this event!
Hilary: Now, as you can see from this footage, things got a little heated. As in lava-level hot.
Nick: Mom was the only person I was thinking about, because I was protecting her from you.
Victoria: How is this happening?
Nick: You couldn't see what you were doing to her because you were so focused on getting what you wanted. Mom dared to tell the great Victor Newman what she thought of him. You're arrogant and heartless! [Groans]
Hilary: Well, it looks like father and son have a very different relationship from what they show the public. I have a feeling that GC will be buzzing about this family drama for weeks to come. [Chuckles]
Abby: So, it's official, I get to plan our next day together.
Abby: I love time away from the office and Scott Grainger. [Chuckles] I cannot wait to hear all of your juicy stories. I want all of the details.
Dina: I promise. [Chuckles] Girls...
Abby: Oh! Mwah!
Ashley: Thanks for joining us.
Dina: Oh, it was wonderful.
Abby: Wow, I had no idea how much Dina missed working.
Ashley: I know, neither did I, but now I understand a lot better what she's going through. I don't know what I would do without work.
Jack: That's quite a deal brash & sassy! Has with Asia.
Cane: Isn't it? I'm the one who put it together, so I just so happen to know the finer points.
Jack: Look, Cane, your coming back here would be good for the company and good for you.
Cane: So I assume that's an offer, Jack, is it?
Jack: It's a precursor to an offer. I would have to run this by my colleagues first.
Cane: Meaning Ashley?
Jack: Ashley and business affairs, but I will be in touch.
Cane: Well, I look forward to your call, and just to let you know, jabot is the right company for me, and I'm the right guy for jabot.
Jack: Unlike working for a Newman, which offers other challenges.
Cane: And, by that, I'm not sure if you're referring to their overwhelming sense of entitlement or their overshadowed ego. I'm certain you've seen the numbers, and you know that brash & sassy! Is slipping.
Jack: I look forward to learning from their mistakes. Thank you, Cane.
Mariah: Nick Newman doesn't flip out for no good reason. That's not his thing. And, FYI, this evening was about an extremely important medical issue and the people who devote their lives to eradicating it.
Hilary: Yes, and that is all very noble. But our audience is still watching the fallout, aren't you, my little bees?
Victor: I'm sick and tired of your self-righteousness and your hypocrisy.
Nick: I won't be a part of this charade anymore.
Victor: As of tonight, you're no longer my son.
Nick: You got sucked right back in. I'm not gonna watch it anymore.
[Car door slams]
Mariah: That didn't feel creepy or invasive at all.
Hilary: Even so-called royal families like the Newmans can take the gloves off and go after each other. But in all seriousness, we do hope that the Newmans can work this out. I, for one, would hate to be on Victor Newman's bad side. Now, this is Hilary Curtis keepin' it real.
Mariah: I hope you enjoyed your swan song because Victor is going to lose his mind no matter what he said about that footage.
[Cell phone chimes]
Hilary: Oh, my god. You're right, Victor is just... furious with me. [Laughs] Ahh!
Nikki: [Sighs] Wait until your father sees that.
Victoria: He's out of town. Maybe he won't see it.
Nikki: Are you kidding? It's gonna be on the internet in two minutes!
Victoria: Out of all of the lying and the secrets and the covering up that our family was falling apart, and now the whole world's gonna know.
Nick: I took a hit from my own father. We all took a hit from that show. And Hilary Curtis delivered the knockout punch.
Next on "the young and the restless"...
Cane: Your dad may not have any use for me, but Jack Abbott is fascinated with what I have to offer.
Victoria: There was Jack, just waiting to swoop in and take advantage...
Billy: Just like he's about to do with Cane.
Nick: I'm gonna sue you and shut this place down.
