Episode # 11212 ~ Victor is forced to make a tough decision; Chloe asks for forgiveness; Abby's reputation is on the line.

[Knock on door]

Victoria: Hi! Mom! Look at how beautiful you look.

Nikki: Oh, thank you, sweetheart. You, too.

Victoria: You ready for the concert?

Nikki: I'm as ready as I'll ever be.

Chelsea: Hey.

Nick: Wo-o-o-w!

Chelsea: Not bad yourself.

Nick: Yeah, I mean, I clean up okay. Damn! How's it going? Seriously. What's wrong?

Chelsea: I don't know. It just feels weird going to this thing when we know everything we know about Nikki's condition.

Nick: You're a very kind person, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Apparently I'm not a very effective person, though. Yesterday when I was dropping off your mom's dress, I took another stab at it, trying to convince her not to go to this thing. I-I told her not to push herself. I tried to convince her she should, you know, talk to victor about these flare-ups.

Nick: How'd that go?

Chelsea: Your mom is dead set on not letting anybody know how the stress is getting to her.

Nick: Yeah, especially my dad.

Chelsea: I'm just gonna be worried the entire time she's playing the piano that she's in terrible pain.

Nick: You don't need to worry about that.

Chelsea: Wait, what do you mean?

Nick: I, uh, took care of things.

Chelsea: Nick, what did you do?

Nick: The only thing you need to know is that this concert is not gonna happen.

Abby: The caterer's in place? And the champagne's been delivered? Oh! You guys are the best. Thank you so much. Excuse me. [Chuckles] Hi. Um, you're the safety inspector I met with yesterday.

Pittman: Yes, correct. Mr. Pittman.

Abby: Mr. Pittman, hi. Yeah, I thought we already did our safety walkthrough.

Pittman: We did.

Abby: Okay, then why are you here?

Pittman: Final approval. I have to confirm everything is working properly before I can sign off on the permit.

Abby: Great, okay. Then let's get this done quickly. Arthur, um, can you turn on the lighting board for Mr. Pittman?

Okay. You want to grab the curtain there?

Abby: [Sighs]

Pittman: Now the soundboard, please.

Abby: [Sighs] Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. No, no, no, no. Cut the power! No, make it stop! Make it stop!

Kevin: And...our castle is complete.

Chloe: That is a beautiful castle. Daddy did such a good job, didn't he?

Kevin: [Chuckles]

Chloe: [Chuckles] Aww. I know. You are exhausted. I kept you up way too late. I think it's time for you to have a nap.

Bella: No.

Kevin: [Laughs]

Chloe: I never thought I'd be so thankful to hear you say that.

Kevin: All right. I'm gonna put you to bed in the other room. We're gonna read a couple of stories. This might take a little bit. Come on.

Chloe: Hey, mommy loves you. Mommy loves to the end of time. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Here. You remember this? It's yours, and you left it for mommy. I held onto it. I kept it safe. But now you can have it back. [Sighs] You put us back together. You never hesitated.

Kevin: Of course. We're a family.

Chloe: Because of me, we're all we got.

Kevin: I wouldn't have it any other way. Everything I want, everything I need is right here. All right, kitten. Let's go to sleep.

Billy: Here you go, darling.

Phyllis: Ooh. You didn't get one for yourself?

Billy: No. Just not thirsty right now.

Phyllis: Oh. Well, I think you're worried that Victoria's gonna call you back into work.

Billy: Well, we are short-staffed now ever since --

Phyllis: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You get that thought out of your head, okay? We said that we would spend the whole day together, and I want your full, ample, complete, total, single-minded, undivided, laser-focus attention on me.

Billy: Wow. So strict.

Phyllis: Now, the only thing that would dilute said attention is a far-too-sweet drink with a silly, little umbrella on top. Now have a taste. Please. Is it delicious?

Billy: Ah! You should try.

Phyllis: I have a better way.

[Door opens]

Cane: Where'd you go?

Lily: I, uh, took Mattie to the library, dropped Charlie off at the gym. They were asking a lot of questions, wondering how you're really doing.

Cane: Well, Victoria fired me, and now I can't provide for my family. That's how I'm doing. Oh, um, I got an e-mail here from a headhunter about a job.

[Doorbell rings]

Lily: What do you want?

Juliet: I need to see you both. I got the test results.

Cane: Is this real?

Juliet: You really think I'd make it up?!

Cane: It wouldn't be your first lie, would it?

Juliet: Well, this is the truth. But don't take my word for it. The hospital will be mailing you your very own, suitable for framing, "couldn't possibly be forged by the lying slut"...

Cane: I never called you that.

Juliet: ...Official results, which will only verify what you just read. You are the father of this baby.

Cane: I'm sorry. [Sighs]

Abby: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait, wait. What just happened? What caused this?

I'm gonna figure that out, ms. Newman. I don't get it. Everything worked fine yesterday.

Abby: Well, I-I'm sure there's nothing to worry about. We can get this problem fixed. Um, you can fix this, right?

Well, I hope so.

Chelsea: You did what?

Nick: Tonight is a potential disaster for my mother. I mean, you said it yourself. She's in a lot of pain.

Chelsea: Well, I know what I said, but I --

Nick: And if she performs, it could make things a lot worse.

Chelsea: Nick, I never intended that you --

Nick: I'm not trying to control my mom's life, okay? I'm just worried about her. I mean, I talked to her. You talked to her. Did she listen?

Chelsea: No, but I still don't --

Nick: Look, my mother's health is at risk. I had to take matters into my own hands.

Chelsea: By sabotaging the soundboard?

Nick: All I did was arrange for a very simple malfunction.

Chelsea: Okay, if it's that simple, then the sound mixers are gonna be able to fix it in time anyway.

Nick: Well, they're gonna have to pinpoint the problem first. And after dealing with the electrical system in my own club, I know it's gonna take a very long time to do that, so long that the safety inspector is going to have to cancel the show.

Abby: Nothing to worry about, Mr. Pittman. My team is very close to repairing the problem, and everything will be fine.

Pittman: So you've identified what happened between yesterday when the system was working and today when it's smoking?

Abby: Uh, no, well, um... [Chuckles nervously] We're not entirely sure, but...

Pittman: Then it could be your soundboard or maybe a power spike in the generator or any other number of things.

Abby: No, but -- b-but -- but it's just -- it's just a little smoke.

Pittman: Look, if you do not find the cause, I'll have to shut you down.

Abby: [Sighs]

Victoria: You know, nick was pretty opposed to you going ahead with this performance. I get the feeling that he was afraid that this might all lead to you letting dad back into your life.

Nikki: What would your reaction have been if that had happened?

Victoria: No, I'm not going there, okay? My life is enough of a mess as it is. I am in no position to judge yours.

Nikki: Are you talking about the lawsuit?

Victoria: Yeah. I had to settle in order to avoid an embarrassing loss in court. And I had to fire cane.

Nikki: [Sighs] I know that must have been difficult.

Victoria: Yeah, it was difficult, but it was necessary. Now my company is suffering. Let's just say that things have definitely been better.

Nikki: Honey, maybe you've just taken on too much.

Victoria: Mom, don't you go there now.

Nikki: What? I didn't say anything.

Victoria: [Sighs] Jill is in town.

Nikki: Oh. Making all of her wishes known, I'm sure.

Victoria: She's not exactly the most subtle person in the world. And I am sure that she would love for me to rely on Billy right now. But it's not gonna happen. I don't need Billy. I don't need anyone. I'll handle this myself. I will.

Victor: What a lucky man I am...

Victoria: [Chuckles]

Victor: ...To go to the event with two beautiful women on my arm.

Victoria: Hello, dad.

Victor: You both look stunning.

Nikki: Thank you, darling. So, will my grandson be there tonight?

Victoria: Yes, reed's gonna meet us there later.

Victor: Mm-hmm. Well, then we can -- we can all go as a family. That pleases me.

Nikki: You know, it is a little early, but maybe we should --

Victor: Well, not -- not -- not so fast, okay? I have a surprise.

[Doorbell rings]

Victor: There she is.

[Door opens]

Victor: Hello, Hilary.

Hilary: Hello.

Victor: Please come in. Hello, sir.

Hilary: Hello, ladies.

Nikki: Um, hello. [Whispers] What is this about?

Victor: Darling, this is Hilary, as you know. Victoria. Hilary's going to interview you. I want people to see all over the world what a person who suffers from M.S. Can achieve.

Kevin: Hey, what's happening?

Chloe: [Sighs] I just -- I heard you reading a book to her, and it just -- it broke my heart.

Kevin: Why? This is what we wanted.

Chloe: I can't help thinking we don't have a lot of time.

Kevin: Nobody is gonna find us.

Chloe: He will.

Kevin: Dr. Harris is not a threat.

Chloe: No, but what if he finds me, and then he has me locked up? I'll be taken away forever. I-I won't see you or Bella.

Kevin: Okay, look, Chloe, that is not going to happen, okay? Dr. Harris can't say anything without implicating himself, too. All we have to do is get you to Oregon without anyone recognizing you, and we're in the clear.

Chloe: And how is that even gonna work? What? Am I just gonna stay inside? What happens when she goes to school and -- and her teachers start asking her questions or the kids are asking about her mom?

Kevin: Time out. We were just building castles and playing games. What -- what happened? What changed?

Chloe: You -- you are everything that I hoped for, and all of the horrible things that I've done, you keep on coming back to me.

Kevin: That's because I love you.

Chloe: And I love you, and it's why I feel so awful.

Kevin: I don't understand. Why do you feel awful?

Chloe: Because I've been lying to you this entire time.

Kevin: About what?

Chloe: It's not what. Who. Victor.

Victor: Are you surprised or what?

Nikki: What the hell is this?

Victor: This is free publicity for the research center and your cause.

Nikki: [Sighs] You're the one that made it my cause, if I recall.

Victor: Listen to me. If you don't like it, I will ask them to leave.

Nikki: Don't. This is the right thing to do. So, Hilary, where do you want me?

Hilary: Oh, you can sit right next to victor on the couch.

Nikki: Next to victor? All right.

Victor: All right.

Hilary: All right, if everyone can please turn off your ringers.

Victor: Oh, boy. This is a serious interview. All right. There we go.

Abby: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Mr. Pittman, please, please. Don't you know who my father is?

Pittman: Yes, I do, actually. And I'm still shutting you down.

Abby: No, but you can't! Um, please. Let -- let's just look at the, um, big picture here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. See, the concert is about to start soon, and hundreds of people have pledged a tremendous amount of money for a really great cause.

Pittman: My big picture is to see that their lives aren't put in danger, or yours, for that matter.

Abby: Okay, wait. Please. Can you just promise me that you will give us your approval if we can get it fixed?

Pittman: Of course. Good luck with that.

Abby: Oh, my god. My god.

Hilary: Okay, so I just want you guys to just be yourself, hmm? Okay? And he will follow you wherever you go.

Cane: We, uh, we're gonna get through this. I promise you, baby.

Juliet: [Clears throat] Hello! Hi, remember me? The expectant mother? I didn't come over here just to give you the news. We need to have a conversation about those results. I'm keeping this baby. So it's what comes afterwards that we need to discuss. That's why I'm here.

Cane: All right, listen, I intend on stepping up and I'll be here --

Juliet: I don't expect anything from you, cane. Yes, we made this baby, but I intend to handle it on my own. You and lily have your own lives, your own children. I'm not looking to disrupt that. With the settlement, I can afford to raise my child well.

Cane: Are you serious?

Juliet: Absolutely. When I filed the lawsuit, I was doing what I felt I had to do. And the same is true right now. I never meant to hurt you, lily. Like cane, I made a mistake, one I deeply regret. And I don't want you to be punished for it. Go back to your lives. I'm going back to mine. I have a lot of work to do on it. [Sighs]

[Door opens]

Cane: [Sighs] [Groans] [Breathes deeply]

Phyllis: Oh, no, no. You are so busted, Abbott.

Billy: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know that the whole "undivided attention" plan stayed in effect when you were in the water.

Phyllis: Yeah.

Billy: Let me make it up to you. Let me reapply your sunscreen for you.

Phyllis: No, no, no, no, no. I want to talk about this distraction. What has you so worried about work?

Billy: No, we don't have to talk about it.

Phyllis: No, we do. We do, because when it bothers you, it bothers me. Okay?

Billy: Our sales numbers came in.

Phyllis: Are they bad?

Billy: We took a hit writing down the commercial, so Victoria's gonna have to work double time in order to turn things around.

Phyllis: And you?

Billy: Well, you're not gonna like this, but I'm gonna have to put in more time. Look, it's just what's gonna have to happen. With cane leaving, I hate to admit this, but it's not a position easy to be filled. Victoria's gonna need me.

Phyllis: She's lucky to have you.

Billy: Thank you for understanding.

Phyllis: If, you know, the company doesn't turn around, I mean, does that mean that it's in jeopardy?

Billy: Now, wouldn't jack love that? He wasted no time coming downstairs to gloat at how great jabot's numbers are and how ours are in the toilet.

Phyllis: He just hates sharing the building with you guys.

Billy: Well, brash & sassy isn't going anywhere. He should know that by now.

Phyllis: Good. 'Cause I like being under the same roof as you.

Billy: And occasionally sharing the same elevator?

Phyllis: [Gasps] There it is. There it is. The perfectly tailored segue to stop talking about business and start talking about us.

Billy: Chitchat's overrated, isn't it?

Phyllis: Yes.

Kevin: Victor arranged...

Chloe: For me to be released from the psychiatric facility. And he had dr. Harris sign off on it.

Kevin: You weren't ready.

Chloe: Well, it was all about framing Adam. And victor wanted -- okay. You can be mad at me. Okay, I understand. Just please -- just don't yell and wake up Bella.

Kevin: Mad at you? Chloe, you were sick. Victor used you.

Chloe: No, there's more.

Kevin: Okay.

Chloe: I was the mystery woman on the prison security video.

Kevin: [Sighs] I scrutinized that footage frame by frame.

Chloe: When it came out about what I had done to Adam, how I caused his death, Chelsea discovered the truth. And...

Kevin: Yeah, and victor helped you disappear.

Chloe: He arranged for me to go back with dr. Harris.

Kevin: That's who dr. Harris was calling after I got there.

Chloe: Yeah.

Kevin: Have you spoken to victor since we left Harris' place?

Chloe: No.

Kevin: Okay, then why are you so scared? Why are you so convinced he's gonna find us?

Chloe: Because he always does. Why should it work out for me this time? I mean, after everything that I've done, all the lies that I have told. I have lied to you about Bella, about everything. And you have been there for me. You have -- you have done everything. You've never hesitated. You never questioned me once. After all of this time, I have never told you about victor and all the secrets. So if you want to walk out that door... I understand. I'm not gonna stop you. I'm just -- I'm just praying that you won't.

Hilary: Howard, yes, I am still on location. I will call you when we're done. Okay, bye. Victoria, um... I wasn't expecting to see you here.

Victoria: No, I bet you weren't.

Hilary: I'm sure that there's a lot of things that you want to discuss regarding the situation with Juliet, and I am open to that. But perhaps now isn't the right time.

Victoria: Yes, I agree. But there is something that I would like to get off my chest.

Hilary: What's that?

Victoria: I owe you an apology for heaping a lot of the blame for the lawsuit on you.

Hilary: Oh, well... thank you.

Victoria: Yeah. I can't really get into the details of the settlement with you because it's confidential, but it turns out that there was at least some truth to Juliet's allegations. At least the ones that can proven outside of the courtroom.

Hilary: Well, that's very gracious of you. And I'm -- I'm sorry that cane's lies hurt you and your company.

Victoria: Yeah, well, you're not the only one.

Hilary: Well, I-I think we're ready. Okay, everyone, I think we are ready to go.

Nikki: All right. Um, how do I do this?

Hilary: Just be natural. You're here with your husband that you love, who has made this amazing gesture on your behalf. Nikki, you have a very inspiring story, a love story, one that my viewers would love to hear in your own words.

Abby: Dad, give me a call as soon as you get this message. Please. It's urgent.

[Sighs] Well?

It's -- it's difficult to isolate.

Abby: It's difficult? That -- that's all you can give me?

Abby: No, see, you -- you are the best that we've got. You have done dozens of Newman events, ones way more complicated than this, so just -- [Sighs] Please. Please just fix this glitch, and, um, just let us get the concert going. Please. That's all I'm asking. Oh, my god.

Nick: Everything all right?

Abby: No, no. Everything is not all right. It's actually very far from being all right. The safety inspector just shut us down, and now this concert is gonna be canceled unless my team can turn it around.

Chelsea: I'm so sorry. That's awful.

Abby: See, if we could figure out what the problem was, then we could fix it. But we don't know if it's the audio or the wiring.

Nick: Look, Abby, I've had situations like this come up at the underground. It could take awhile for them to track down all the possibilities as to why there was a malfunction. But you need to be prepared that it may not get fixed in time.

Abby: But it has to. And it will.

Chelsea: Are you enjoying this?

Nick: Chelsea, I actually hate it, all right? But my dad didn't leave me any choice.

Nikki: Well, my hope is that the Genoa City university medical school will become a leader nationwide in M.S. Research.

Hilary: And will they be looking for a cure?

Nikki: Well, ultimately, yes.

Victor: But, you know, I think the viewers of "Hilary's hour" may be more interested in how you personally triumphed over M.S., which will be on display tonight when you perform at the concert.

Hilary: You've got a very proud husband there.

Nikki: Proud, yes. That is one word for my husband.

Hilary: I'm sure there must have been a time when you thought that you would never play again.

Nikki: Well, yes. At the onset of the disease, uh, I was very concerned about that. Seemed to be taking away my ability to do something that I love very much, which is make music.

Hilary: Do you have any pain or discomfort?

Nikki: Fortunately, no. Very little. There have been many advances made, and hopefully with more research, we will eliminate it entirely.

Hilary: It's a lot easier to hope for that when you have a man like victor Newman on your side. I'm sure not many husbands can give such a substantial donation to the university. I would love to hear more about this love story.

Victor: We certainly have had our ups and downs, but I think every marriage has experienced that. But we have persevered. And I think that's a testament to true love.

Hilary: Victoria, why don't you join us?

Victoria: Uh, I-I don't -- I didn't really plan on, uh...

Hilary: Well, we live for the unexpected on "the Hilary hour." And my viewers are very well acquainted with Victoria Newman, who is the founder and owner of brash & sassy cosmetics and the proud daughter of Nikki and victor Newman.

Victoria: You know, tonight is really about my mother, so...

Hilary: I know. But there's probably a lot of sons and daughters out there who are coping with parents who have M.S.

Victoria: Uh...

Hilary: They would love to hear your perspective.

Victoria: Okay.

Hilary: Given the longevity of your parents' marriage, do you ever take their enduring devotion for granted?

Victoria: No, not at all.

Hilary: Please tell me more. How so?

Victoria: Well, there have been many times when I believe that my parents would never find their way back to one another. And yet here they are.

Hilary: I have to know. Is there ever a time where you find yourself comparing your relationship with theirs?

Victoria: It would be hard not to. They've set the bar very high.

Juliet: Club soda, please.

Phyllis: Hey. That's Juliet. I can't even believe I'm seeing her again. She's got like so many enemies in this town. I mean, why not just take the money and run?

Billy: 'Cause it's hard to run when you're pregnant. Hey.

Phyllis: Hey. Hi. How you doing?

Juliet: Just trying to keep it together. Thanks.

Billy: Why don't we sit down for a second?

Juliet: Okay. [Clears throat]

Billy: [Clears throat]

Juliet: I saw you, and, uh, I... Billy, I'm sure you want nothing to do with me, but I've always liked you. You're fair, and you have a lot of integrity.

Billy: I don't know about that.

Phyllis: Well, I completely agree.

Juliet: You were right about the lawsuit. I could have handled it better. But when you're backed into a corner... I felt I couldn't walk away with nothing, especially now.

Billy: Look, we -- we could have believed you sooner. To be honest, it would have been better for everybody, and that's on us.

Phyllis: So, what are your plans now?

Juliet: I assume Billy's told you about the pregnancy? We just had it confirmed. The baby is Cane's.

Billy: So what now?

Juliet: Well, it's not like I'm the first single mom in history. I'll figure something out.

Billy: So what are you saying? You don't want cane to be involved?

Juliet: How sincere would that be? He hates me. Anyways, uh, it was good to see you, Billy. Take care of yourself.

Billy: You, too. I'd hate to be cane right about now.

Lily: What are you doing?

Cane: I'm, um, I'm looking for a legal document that I can take to Juliet.

Lily: What do you mean?

Cane: You heard what she said about taking responsibility for the baby.

Lily: You can't be serious.

Cane: Do you think I want to abandon my own baby?! I messed up, and I'm trying to fix it!

Lily: You don't fix anything by walking away from your responsibilities! That's how we got here in the first place!

Chloe: What are you thinking?

Kevin: I'm thinking... how can I keep you and Bella protected if you keep hiding things from me? And I'm thinking how can I blame you for having a breakdown or for caving to victor, especially in the weakened state you were in.

Chloe: So which thoughts are winning?

Kevin: Just that... I shouldn't love you. But I can't help it.

Chloe: [Sighs]

Kevin: Just like you can't help getting better when you're with Bella and me. And you are better. You're happy. I see it. So am I. That's why I'm taking you to Oregon.

Chloe: [Voice breaking] Oh, Kevin.

Kevin: Because victor or no victor, I love you.

Phyllis: Do me. [Chuckles]

Billy: Twist my arm.

Phyllis: Ha! No. Because then you wouldn't be able to slather that goopy stuff on me. Get busy.

Billy: So bossy today.

Phyllis: Oh, don't tell me you don't love it. Why are you so quiet today?

Billy: You'll fine me a quarter if I tell you.

Phyllis: Don't tell me you're still thinking about cane.

Billy: The guy's a disaster area.

Phyllis: Look, you said yourself that you were glad that you are not him. I mean, think about lily. She's the victim here.

Billy: Yeah. And if Juliet doesn't want cane's help, then...

Phyllis: You know what? This is a classic case of false bravado. He let that woman into their lives, and lily's got to know that she's not gonna disappear so quickly. You know, I mean, he has two women in his life right now.

Billy: Almost feel bad for him. Almost.

Phyllis: Yeah, well, you have only one woman in your life.

Billy: That's right.

Phyllis: That's right. Who wants to go swimming?

Billy: I do, I do, I do.

Phyllis: I do, I do, I do. Come on! Let's go!

Hilary: Howard, did you get the footage that I just shot at the Newmans'? Great. And I e-mailed you the notes for the edit, so... I'm gonna -- I'm gonna have to let you go, Howard. Yeah, just get started. I will call you back later. Juliet. What's up?

Juliet: I just saw cane.

Hilary: Oh, so does he know that the child is his? What did he say?

Juliet: He was ready to step up. I'm not sure how far he would have gone.

Hilary: Wait. You didn't hear him out?

Juliet: I told him I was not interested in anything he had to offer.

Hilary: Huh. Well, after everything that you've been saying the past few days, I did not see that one coming.

Juliet: [Sighs] I don't know, Hilary. In the moment, I just felt I needed to make a stand about being independent. But now...

Hilary: Lily. She was there, wasn't she?

Juliet: She's not gonna let that happen. I saw her face. Even if cane wants nothing to do with me or this baby, lily will not allow him to abandon his child.

Cane: [Voice breaking] I'm trying to do the right thing, but I don't know what to do. Just -- just -- tell me what to do!

Lily: You cannot leave her to have your baby! This is your child, too! You did this, so do the right thing!

Cane: I'm trying to salvage what is left of my family, so just tell me what you want me to do.

Lily: Go out there and chase her down and make her change her mind! Listen, I'm not stupid. I know after today, our family will never be the same. But you have to be there for Juliet and this baby. You know that, cane. You know it. [Sighs]

Cane: [Sighs] [Sighs] [Sighs deeply]

Victoria: Hey. You're early.

Nick: Hey.

Chelsea: Hi.

Victor: Chelsea, how nice to see you.

Chelsea: Good to see you. Nikki, you look gorgeous.

Nikki: Oh, well, thanks to you.

Victor: Surprised to see you here, son.

Nick: I'm supporting mom as I always do.

Victor: Where's Abby?

Chelsea: Oh, she's over there.

Victor: Oh. Excuse me.

Nikki: I know what you're thinking. But let me tell you what's going to happen. In a few minutes, I'm gonna go out there on that stage, and I'm going to perform, and people are gonna know what I'm capable of.

Nick: I never said I didn't believe in you, mom. But the situation's a little more complicated than that.

Abby: Dad, why haven't you returned any of my messages?

Victor: Because I was being interviewed. What are you talking about?

Abby: What I'm talking about is that all of this hard work has probably been for nothing.

Victor: What? Excuse me, sir. You're responsible for this? What's the problem?

Chloe: I'm still terrified of victor.

Kevin: [Sighs]

Chloe: You don't know what he's capable of.

Kevin: I most certainly do. But I'm not afraid of him.

Chloe: You're not?

Kevin: No. Not one bit.

Chloe: But what about when he finds out that I escaped dr. Harris'?

Kevin: He is not gonna find you.

Chloe: [Sighs] This is victor Newman, Kevin. He has money and power, contacts all over the country.

Kevin: Yeah, well, I've got skills of my own, some of which you know nothing about.

Chloe: You honestly think that you can beat him?

Kevin: I know I can.

Chloe: Kevin...

Kevin: No, he's gonna underestimate me. I'm not gonna underestimate him. So that gives me the edge. Chloe. I worked too hard to get you back. I'm not gonna lose you to victor or anybody else. Okay?

Victoria: Honestly, I just don't know how you could let things get so out of hand. All you needed to get was a master electrician in here.

Abby: Oh, my god! Why didn't I think of that? Oh, that's right. I already did. So do you have any other little tidbits of advice you'd like to give me?

Victoria: I was just trying to help.

Abby: What you don't seem to understand, Victoria, is that this problem could be electrical, it could be in the walls, it could be under the pavilion. We don't know yet. So we can't just jump the gun and plug in another board, because if that starts smoking and flickering and the safety inspector sees that, then sayonara, concert. So give me a little bit of credit, sis.

Victor: This is outrageous. The guests are coming in as we speak. I will not have you throw your weight around.

Pittman: Look, with all due respect, Mr. Newman, when it comes to chancellor pavilion and the safety of those attending tonight, I am the one who decides what's allowed and what isn't. It's a matter of public safety.

Victor: Listen to me. I have the best technicians in the business. That goes for the equipment, as well.

Pittman: And I'm not disputing any of that. But the solution for this problem has far eluded all of them. You know where that leaves me.

Victor: [Sighs]

Nikki: What kind of activity is going on over there? It looks like victor's about to explode.

Victor: [Sighs] I have terrible news. We're gonna have to cancel the concert.

Next on "the young and the restless"...

Tessa: Maybe the universe is trying to cut you a break. You won't have to play through the pain after all.

Abby: If you do not know how to fix the audio board, then you're not needed back here!

Nick: How can I tell everyone that the show's gonna go on, much less on time?

Victor: Because it will.
