Episode # 11191 ~ Jack makes Dina an offer; Chloe fights back; Billy and Phyllis take a big step in their relationship.

Provided By Suzanne

Victor: I thought your mother would have told you. Your grandmother is extending her stay.

Abby: But we already said goodbye. She was on her way back to Paris.

Victor: Well, something changed her mind. Or someone. I think it was you.

Abby: Okay, wait. I'm -- I'm confused. Um, who told you this? That fellow, Graham, he told us after you had left the club.

Abby: Wow. This is incredible. Oh, god. Is mom okay with this?

Jack: She really said that? She's staying? Did Abby change her mind?

Ashley: Someone gave our mother the courage to say no to Graham. Probably Abby. But whatever the case, I know Abby's gonna be thrilled.

Jack: Are you thrilled?

Hilary: In L.A., Juliet and I were becoming friends. You know, we were talking about how much we loved hanging out together. And then she goes and accuses cane of sexual harassment? I mean, he's the one who helped her get that job, and that's how she repays him, is by spreading these lies just to get some fat settlement check?

Neil: Oh, come on. Sweetheart --

Lily: No, I-I'm livid. I think it's disgusting.

Neil: I hate that you and cane are going through this. I do.

Lily: [Sighs] I'm sorry.

Neil: No, no, no, no. You don't have to be sorry.

Lily: No, I invited you for dinner 'cause I want to hear how Hamilton-winters is going, not vent about this nightmare.

Neil: Hey, you can vent to me. I'm your dad. You can tell me anything. As long as you're honest with me.

Lily: What does that mean?

Neil: I just want to make sure you're telling me everything.

Michael: I filed a motion requesting the judge dismiss the lawsuit.

Cane: And what's the chance that's gonna happen?

Michael: Well, I would never presume to read the mind of any judge. But we have a solid argument that this case is without merit.

Victoria: Juliet claims that, while you were in Tokyo, you insisted that if she had sex with you, you'd get her the division-management position.

Cane: [Sighs] It's rubbish.

Michael: Juliet has provided no evidence that conversation or consummation ever took place. It is a classic case of "he said, she said."

Cane: Right, because everything I've told you is true.

Michael: [Sighs] In a civil case such as this one, the judge requires solid evidence for the case to proceed.

Victoria: And if they don't give him any?

Cane: Look, there's none to give 'cause it didn't happen, okay?

Michael: Then the judge throws out the case.

Cane: Okay. All right.

Billy: Okay.

Phyllis: Holy -- there's more?!

Billy: Should I just put this, uh... right there for now?

Phyllis: I'm gonna have to make more room in the closet, I think.

Billy: No, no. The closet will be fine. I don't have a lot of clothes.

Phyllis: Well, I can't put the golf clubs and the hockey equipment in the living room. And when did you take up tennis?

Billy: Oh, that was high school.

Phyllis: Oh, okay. Well, by all means, you just hang onto this. Where am I gonna -- where are we gonna put all this stuff?

Billy: Phyllis, are you second-guessing me moving in here?

Phyllis: As a matter of fact, I had one thought today. Just one thought -- nothing else -- over and over...

[Billy whistles]

Phyllis: ...Day in and day out.

Billy: Great minds think alike.

Leslie: Hilary, hello.

Hilary: Hi. Please -- please, take a seat.

Leslie: [Sighs] Wanted to, uh, thank you again for referring Juliet to me. She's an excellent client. Smart and follows my advice.

Hilary: Where do things stand with the case?

Leslie: Brash & sassy filed a motion to dismiss.

Hilary: No surprise there.

Leslie: So Michael and I will duke it out with the judge in his chambers shortly.

Hilary: This case has merit, Leslie. The judge will see that, right?

Leslie: The timing complicates things. Juliet was recently terminated, so Michael can paint my client as a disgruntled employee with an ax to grind. I need to be ready. So if you have any information about the case or Juliet's credibility, now is the time to tell me.

Lily: Why would you think there's something I'm not telling you? I mean, what else is there left to tell?

Neil: Well, that's what I'm asking you. Look, baby, I know what the lawsuit claims.

Lily: Yeah, it's ridiculous.

Neil: Are you absolutely confident that he is innocent?

Lily: Are you saying that you believe Juliet?

Neil: I'm asking if you believe her.

Lily: Of course not.

Neil: Lily, come on. Talk to me.

Lily: [Sighs] Okay. Yeah. I-I did hear cane and Juliet arguing one day. But who cares?

Neil: Arguing about what?

Lily: [Sighs] They said that it was about work, but then... you know, after the suit got filed, I was...wondering if maybe there was something else.

Neil: Like what? Maybe something that happened in Tokyo?

Lily: [Sighs] I know they closed a deal, and they celebrated -- hard. You know, but he called me the next day. He was completely hungover. And he admitted who he got drunk with. You know, he didn't seem like he was hiding anything. So, no. I-I don't think that anything happened between them.

Neil: Are you trying to convince me or yourself?

Cane: Why don't you think it's gonna be dismissed?

Victoria: Because there might be enough truths for Leslie to spin and try to use against us.

Michael: What truth? What are you getting at?

Victoria: Well, cane did recommend Juliet for the division-management position in Tokyo.

Cane: Which she didn't get.

Victoria: Yes, but I gave her a marketing job here. And by that time, you acted like you didn't even want her around.

Cane: 'Cause I didn't think she'd want to leave Japan and move here for a lesser job. And I was right, because she does -- she comes here, gets fired, now she's pissed off. You honestly think that I offered her a job in exchange for sex, don't you? Don't you?! Ohh!

Victoria: No, that is not what I am saying.

Michael: All right, people! Please! Please, let's take a step back, shall we? As I said before, the burden of proof is on Leslie and Juliet.

Victoria: Yes. But the threshold for proof is less in civil cases than it is in criminal. Am I correct?

Michael: Correct. However, they would have to prove not only that cane sexually harassed Juliet, but that the alleged harassment damaged her career. She was terminated for just cause, which was in no way related to the allegations of harassment. Look, the short version is, they do not have the evidence to prove their claims. If a judge feels the same way, this all disappears.

Victoria: Thank you, Michael. Because, honestly, the last thing I need is another messy, expensive scandal.

Phyllis: That was... one heck of a celebration.

Billy: So you forgive me about the golf clubs and the hockey equipment?

Phyllis: Well, and those albums. I mean, those are just so old and damaged, they probably don't even play, right?

Billy: Okay, don't even start there, okay? Those mean a lot to me. They are my therapy. I listen to them when I am angry and when I am sad.

Phyllis: Oh, you do?

Billy: Yeah, I do.

Phyllis: Oh.

Billy: They've gotten a little too much play lately.

Phyllis: [Sighs] It has been one hell of a year, hasn't it?

Billy: There's been some bright spots. Like right now. You and me, we're turning the corner. It's a new start for both of us.

Phyllis: Oh, is there even such a thing?

Billy: Yes, there is such a thing. I will always have your back. You will never be alone again.

Phyllis: You're never gonna be alone, either. You know I love you.

Billy: You know I love you. [Groans]

Phyllis: Oh, that's sexy. What's going on there?

Billy: My stupid phone digging into my...

Phyllis: [Giggles]

Billy: Aaaah! I was supposed to be at the office for a meeting with Michael about the lawsuit.

Phyllis: Well, go, go, go, go, go. All right. Put your shirt on.

Billy: Sorry.

Phyllis: [Laughs] Don't be.

Billy: I got to run.

Phyllis: I'll have dinner ready, waiting for you, okay? It'll be our first night living in sin!

Billy: You're gonna cook?

Phyllis: No! [Laughs] No, you're not that lucky. [Laughs]

Billy: I'll take as much sin as I can get. Bye.

Chloe: I have no idea who he's talking to. Dr. Harris is practically a hermit. He doesn't talk to anyone. No one comes over. Nick and Chelsea were the only ones who ever knocked on that door.

Kevin: Well, then, I guess there's only one way to find out -- call john doe back. Hey! You're not in charge here anymore.

Dr. Harris: I am the only one who can help Chloe.

Kevin: You sure about that?

Chloe: It's Bella's favorite. [Sighs] You brought him?

Kevin: She wanted him to be with you. Only she thought he'd be spending time with you in heaven. You know, you act like you're her savior, but all you've done is drug her up and hold her prisoner. You know who can help her? I can. I know what she needs, and I'm not leaving here without her.

Dr. Harris: Where do you think that you can go? Faking Chloe's death was the only way to stop people searching for her. And she was this close to being able to disappear. But then she got you involved, and now she's at risk again.

Chloe: Not because of Kevin. He can keep a secret.

Kevin: I'm not gonna let anyone lock her up. Not in a prison. Not in a psych ward. And not here. Chloe knows that I will do anything to protect her, and I am not leaving here without her.

Dr. Harris: My friend, you do not make the decisions here.

Kevin: You're gonna call the cops? Go ahead. Have at it. Can't wait to see how that goes.

Chloe: Okay. Kevin... let me just talk to dr. Harris alone for a minute.

Kevin: What happens when I leave the room? He jams you with a needle, drugs you up again, maybe gives you enough to actually kill you this time?

Chloe: That's not gonna happen, okay? Just let me handle this. Please.

Dr. Harris: Look, all I ever wanted was to help Chloe get well again.

Chloe: He means it, all right? He's not gonna hurt me. I promise.

Kevin: I am right outside if you need anything.

Chloe: I'll scream.

Dr. Harris: [Sighs] Chloe, you cannot leave here with him. If you get caught, we will all end up in prison. Or worse, we will be at the mercy of Victor Newman. He's not about to forgive what you did to his son.

[Sighs] Contacting Kevin was a terrible mistake.

Chloe: I know that you want me to be well. I know that you mean it. But that won't happen without Kevin. We can trust him. I promise. [Sighs] I just wish that I had Bella here, too. You know, the two of them... they are the only ones that make me healthy and whole. We just -- we need to figure out a way how we're gonna take her with us. I-I need to pack. We need to get out of here right away.

Dr. Harris: Oh, no, no. You don't need to pack because you're not leaving this house. If Victor had any idea what was happening --

Chloe: Okay, I know that you are as terrified as I am. Just don't tell Victor. Let us go. Victor doesn't need to know the truth.

Victor: Sweetheart, why would you be upset about your mother's reactions to Dina's decision to stay longer?

Abby: Well, I don't think mom will ever forgive her mother for abandoning her and her family when she was a child.

Victor: Well, that's not so unusual. Do you know, as an adult, one sometimes questions the decisions their parents made. One thing I know -- first thing I do when I get up in the mornings is think about what's best for my family.

Abby: Oh, you are not the same as Dina. Nick and Victoria and I, we know how much you love us. And that's one thing mom and I have in common -- great fathers who gave us love and support. And forgive us when we make mistakes.

Victor: Yes, I did forgive you for that incubator project. You had gone ahead without my okay. But when I think about it, it's a hell of an idea. I should have supported it.

Abby: Well, you are a great boss, and an even better father. Nick and Victoria know that, too. Come here.

Ashley: Am I happy that Dina's staying longer? Yes. I'm happy for you, and I'm happy for Abby.

Jack: But not for yourself? You were pretty upset when she was gonna leave right away.

Ashley: That was for Abby's sake.

Jack: And Graham? Are you still concerned about the control he has over mother?

Ashley: Of course I am. Aren't you?

Jack: You never told me what happened when he came out to the house to pick up the photo album.

Ashley: Well, he was charming as ever, and of course he said all the right words in the right tone. Assured me that there's no ulterior motive on his part, and obviously he's convinced himself that he's her white knight.

Jack: And you didn't buy that for one second.

Ashley: Well, I hate to say it, jack -- I think she's his meal ticket. That's the attraction.

Jack: Well, he has managed to make himself indispensable to mother.

Ashley: Mother might be smart and savvy and strong, but that man is manipulating her.

Jack: Whatever he's planning, though, he's forgetting one important thing. She's no longer alone. She has us.

Hilary: I have no doubts about Juliet's credibility. What happened in Tokyo, it changed her life. She was pressured into sex by cane in exchange for a job with brash & sassy. Then she picks up, she moves across the ocean for a lesser title than promised, and then she is fired by Victoria for [Scoffs] Doing that job.

Leslie: Yeah. It's all in her statement.

Hilary: Well, it's all true. And Juliet, she needs a champion. And I believe that you can be that for her, Leslie.

Leslie: I'll do everything I can. Well, it's to go talk to the judge.

Hilary: Okay. Well, good luck.

Leslie: Thank you.

Phyllis: What's got you so happy?

Cane: I don't understand why Juliet's doing this to me. And if I could just go and talk to her, I know I could convince to drop the suit.

Victoria: No. Listen. That's a really bad idea. You have been identified by name in a sexual-harassment case. If you go to her and you try to talk about the suit, she's just gonna try to use it against you, or try to use it against the company. She's gonna look at it as continued harassment.

Cane: She can't twist just a-a calm conversation like that.

Victoria: She's already twisted everything.

Cane: I don't know why she's doing this to me. I don't know why she's attacking me personally. All I did was support her. I don't understand it.

Victoria: You've been very fair with her, and respectful. I never saw anything even remotely inappropriate, and if I had, I would have said something immediately.

Cane: So you're saying you believe me now?

Victoria: Michael has to know everything. There can be no surprises here. You're a decent person. I know you wouldn't do something like that.

Phyllis: So, the sunny disposition is about work?

Hilary: A meeting went well.

Phyllis: Oh. Well, good. Am I sitting in someone's seat? I-I just came here for a takeout order.

Hilary: No. No, it's fine. I was actually dying to hear how things went with you and Billy in L.A.

Phyllis: Oh. Fine and dandy until Victoria caught us. And then, of course, the hockey deal went to hell.

Hilary: Ugh, yeah. I-I had no idea that we were airing anything that the hockey league didn't approve of.

Phyllis: Well, I'm sure no one's holding you responsible.

Hilary: I still regret airing that footage. [Sighs] And I'm sorry that Victoria sniffed you out. I swear, I did everything that I could to prevent her from seeing you.

Phyllis: You know what, it's okay, you know? She just went into her usual snit. But that doesn't matter, because I am here to pick up dinner for Billy and me, because tonight is the first night we are living together.

Hilary: Congratulations. Good for you. It looks like you're the one person who came out ahead from that trip. Although I didn't do very badly.

Phyllis: Hmm.

Hilary: I actually landed my exclusive with the one and only Julie Chen.

Phyllis: Yes, I saw that. Yeah. And you nailed it. That's all right. But that was almost a disaster for everybody else.

Hilary: And now Juliet is suing brash & sassy for sexual harassment. Do you know anything about that?

Phyllis: [Groans] The drama never ends. I am just happy she is not naming Billy on this bogus complaint.

Hilary: Well, don't be so sure that it's bogus.

[Laptop slams]

Billy: Victoria told me about your meeting with Michael.

Cane: Well, don't act like you care, 'cause if you did, you would have been here for it, Billy.

Billy: [Sighs] I assume that you told Michael everything? Because I don't feel like being ambushed because you decided to not give up information. I certainly don't want Victoria being caught in the cross fire.

Cane: Are you accusing me of cheating on my wife? Is that what you're saying to me?

Billy: Take it easy, cane. I know what it's like to drink a little bit too much and do something stupid.

Cane: Yeah, but you don't have to drink that much to do something stupid, now, do you?

Billy: Things happen, right? Even to saints like you.

Cane: So you think that I blackmailed this woman into giving me sex for a job. A job working with my wife. So you think that I'm slimy and I'm stupid. Is that what you're accusing me of?

Billy: That's not what I said.

Cane: All right, listen. I know you want me to admit I'm guilty for the sake of your ex-wife and this place, but I'm not going to confess to something I didn't do.

Lily: Look, cane never hid how impressed with Juliet he was. He's the one who pushed for her to get the division-manager job in Tokyo. And that didn't happen because Victoria hired her for marketing here. He had nothing to do with that.

Neil: You talk to cane about this?

Lily: Yeah, of course. We don't have any secrets. Look, this already happened with Hilary awhile back. Remember, she took those photos, said they were having an affair?

Neil: Yeah.

Lily: It's just happening again. It's just lies again. We have been through the worst, you know, and we're -- we're stronger for it. I don't think cane would risk that for anyone or anything.

Neil: You know what I think? I think you ought to trust your husband, and trust your own judgment. 'Cause I do.

Lily: Thank you.

Graham: I have postponed our travel arrangements, and our meetings in Paris, for the next few days.

Dina: Well, we may be here more than just a few days.

Graham: You want to stay here even longer? You know what that would mean.

Dina: Well, it would mean more time with my family.

Graham: Which is why it's a bad idea. Ashley is still bitter and resentful. It's not good for you to be surrounded by so much negativity.

Dina: Jack wants me here, and so does my granddaughter.

Graham: And Ashley's another story.

Dina: Ashley was angry when I told her I was leaving, which means she cares.

Graham: The way she talks to you is insulting. And jack isn't much better. [Sighs] Adults reacting like children. Self-centered, unable to forgive. They expect you to spend your life making amends to them. Be careful, Dina. These people do not have your best interests at heart.

Jack: I hope I'm not interrupting.

Chloe: Kevin and I go away. And I'm sure that, with what Victor's paid you, you never have to work again. And what I said to Kevin is true. You don't talk to anyone. So if you leave, no one will notice.

Dr. Harris: Look, Victor will not let that happen. [Sighs] You can't leave, Chloe. You will not be safe. Not out in the world where Victor can still track you down. Plus... you need treatment. You know that. When you're not under my care, things happen.

Chloe: [Sighs] Then I'll stay. With Kevin.

Dr. Harris: [Scoffs] That's not possible. I won't allow you to move your ex-husband into my home --

Chloe: It's the only option, and it's non-negotiable. If I stay, then he stays. He's not gonna say anything to anyone. We can trust him. Because he knows that, if he does, he's going to prison.

Dr. Harris: Chloe, you are not thinking straight. This can't happen. God, now I have to call Victor. Tell him that you've involved your ex-husband, and you're talking about him living in my house. None of this was the plan!

[Gun cocks]

Chloe: Then we change the plan.

Dr. Harris: Chloe, put it down.

Chloe: I'm just trying to make a point as to why Kevin should stay here.

Dr. Harris: No, you're holding a gun.

Chloe: I need him. And if you want me to get better...

Dr. Harris: I do.

Chloe: ...Then you let Kevin stay.

Kevin: You were taking too long, so I showed myself -- whoa! Chloe!

Chloe: I know. I know. So please just -- thank god you're here. Take it. Take it. Take it. Take it.

Kevin: Okay. Okay. Okay. Calm down. What the hell happened?

Chloe: He wants you to leave, and I want you to stay. Here. With me.

Dr. Harris: In my home. As I treat Chloe. What do you think about that?

Kevin: Wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

Chloe: We could be a family again, Kevin. You, me, and Bella.

Kevin: Bella?

Chloe: Well, we would stay here, and the doctor would treat me, and then I have the two people that I love most in this world by my side. I-I know it's -- it's kind of weird, but --

Kevin: Chloe...

Chloe: It's the best we've got.

Kevin: Bella cannot live like a prisoner. Neither can you. We have to go, now, before our friend here calls john doe again.

Chloe: Kevin, I have to stay here if I want to get better. I have to do this for Bella, and for you. For my own sake. And dr. Harris wants to help me, too. You know that he does.

Kevin: We can't hold a gun on him and make him let us stay.

Dr. Harris: You won't need to.

Chloe: What do you mean?

Dr. Harris: You can stay. Both of you. At the moment, I can see it's the best thing for Chloe.

Ashley: Okay, Ravi. I think that's about it.

Ravi: Maybe there's something else?

Ashley: You know what, it's kind of unnerving how well you know me. Yes, there is something else. My mother. Remember, I told you I was gonna try to kill her with kindness?

Ravi: Yeah, the family dinner. Never told me how it went.

Ashley: Well, my mother was definitely happy about it. It meant a lot to her. Jack was moved. Traci was moved, as well. And Abby... well, she was just basking in the glow of getting her grandmother's approval.

Ravi: How was it for you?

Ashley: It was okay. After, you know, my sister Traci mentioned something. She thought our mother seemed off somehow.

Ravi: In what way?

Ashley: It's hard to say, because we see our mother so infrequently, but I know it has something to do with her companion, Graham. I think he's trying to control her. I can feel it.

Ravi: Oh. Well, I've only met your mother once. I can't imagine her ceding power to anyone.

Ashley: In any other circumstance, I would totally agree with that. But then you see them together, and you see them apart, and he definitely has some kind of an effect on her. It's almost as if she's afraid to go against his wishes. And she covers it very well, but... I think she's keeping something from us.

Ravi: You've got good instincts about people, Ashley. If this is how you feel, we need to find out more. Let's see what we can learn about this Graham.

Ashley: Okay.

Jack: Graham, I'd like to talk to my mother. Privately. Family stuff.

Graham: Of course.

Jack: I'm glad you're staying longer.

Dina: Well, it won't make things easier for you, jack. Ashley was furious with me for not telling Abby I was leaving.

Jack: Well, I understand Abby didn't give you much choice. She came to you herself. Tenacious, that one. Must be hereditary.

Dina: [Chuckles] My granddaughter has the perfect mix of Abbott and Newman genes.

Jack: Oh, I think it's all Abbott. But that's me.

Dina: [Chuckles] I realized I wasn't ready to leave.

Jack: Well, then you made the right decision. Even if Graham disagrees.

Dina: Well, he has my best interests at heart.

Jack: So do we. I hope you know that.

Dina: Of course I do, son.

Jack: Well, now that you've decided to stay longer, I was hoping you would consider moving into the house.

Dina: Oh!

Jack: There's lots of room. Abby drops by several times a week. Mrs. Martinez can make you anything you want. Who knows? We may even get some more singing in.

Dina: Mmm.

Jack: What do you say? Would you consider moving home?

Victoria: Oh, hey. You're still here.

Billy: So are you.

Victoria: Yeah. I was just waiting to hear from Michael about the judge's decision. But, um, you know, you don't have to stick around. I'll call you when I hear anything.

Billy: I actually wanted to let you know the reason why I missed the meeting with Michael.

Victoria: Okay.

Billy: I moved in with Phyllis.

Victoria: Oh. Um... well, just make sure that you give payroll your change of address.

Billy: This doesn't change anything between us, Vick, besides, obviously, the address change. But, uh, everything will still be the same between the two of us.

Victoria: You know, I would prefer if you don't have the kids sleep over at your new residence.

Billy: That's fine. They won't. But I still plan on spending as much time as possible with them, of course.

Victoria: Yeah, of course. They love you.

Billy: Johnny, Katie, reed. This place. You. It all means a lot to me, so I'll do whatever I need to help you. Just ask whenever you need anything, okay?

Victoria: Thank you.

Billy: I'm sorry you're going through this. The lawsuit. Not surprisingly, you're handling it like a pro, like you do everything else.

Victoria: [Sighs] Well, I'm not gonna let anybody hurt this company.

Billy: I know you're not saying it, but we all know this is only happening because you decided to fire Juliet instead of me.

Michael: Your honor, as detailed in my brief, this lawsuit is based on a false claim of sexual harassment. Ms. Helton is angry she was fired from her marketing position at brash & sassy, a cosmetics company. She knew she couldn't win a wrongful-termination suit because she was fired for just cause.

Leslie: Conjecture. Mr. Baldwin is not a mind-reader.

Judge Hazen: Move it along, Mr. Baldwin.

Michael: Ms. Helton registered no complaint regarding her treatment at brash & sassy prior to termination. Any and all allegations arose after she was fired. In addition, she claimed that Mr. Ashby promised her a division-manager position in exchange for sex. That position was not Mr. Ashby's to give. Ms. Helton had interviewed with Victoria Newman for the job, which was given to a more experience candidate. However, ms. Helton was offered a position in marketing. That decision was ms. Newman's alone to make, not Mr. Ashby's. Therefore, there was no quid pro quo. But, your honor, should you decide that a sexual encounter may have occurred, please keep it in mind that it allegedly happened while ms. Helton was a freelance consultant at brash & sassy, not a permanent employee. Therefore, she was not Mr. Ashby's subordinate, nor is she subject to the protections afforded to a permanent employee. Your honor, this lawsuit does not meet the standards of a claim for which relief may be granted. Therefore, I urge you to dismiss this lawsuit with prejudice.

Phyllis: You sound like you know a whole lot about this harassment case. Why don't you tell me a little bit about it?

Hilary: I've gotten to know Juliet a bit. She moved halfway across the world to work her butt off for Victoria and cane. And then everything blows up in L.A., And she's the one who takes the fall?

Phyllis: So file for wrongful termination. Why sexual harassment? Seems very forced. And why drag cane into this?

Hilary: [Scoffs] I've known cane as long as I've known anyone else in this town, first as his assistant, then as his in-law. And, come on, even in the most loving relationships, people make mistakes. Wouldn't you agree?

Phyllis: Well, everybody knows my track record. Just like they know yours.

Hilary: Mm.

Phyllis: A mistake is one thing. Sexual harassment, that's a whole other.

Hilary: The only people who know what really happened that night is cane and Juliet. And regardless of how it sounds, I'm not "in her corner." But I am confident that the truth will come out. I make no secret about how I feel about lily Ashby. But it would be terrible, wouldn't it? Just to find out that your husband is the type of man that exploits women that way? Let's just hope that she doesn't have to face that.

Lily: Thanks. Bye.

Neil: Later, man.

Cane: Yeah, you too. Hey. I didn't mean to chase your dad out like that.

Lily: No, it's fine. So, what's the latest?

Cane: Uh, Michael's meeting with the judge right now in his chambers to see if, uh, he can get him to dismiss the case.

Lily: Cane, everyone knows you did nothing wrong. And the judge will see that, too. He'll see there's no case, and then we can go back to how things were before. Like it never happened.

Victoria: I didn't fire you because Juliet was at fault. The information she gave us about the league's approval was incorrect. She let herself get caught in the rush to air, and she royally screwed up. She didn't take responsibility for it then, and this suit proves that she's not taking responsibility for it now. And that's not the kind of person that I want working at this company. I'm sure that Michael is gonna convince the judge that the suit is groundless, and it's gonna get dismissed.

Billy: I sure hope it does.

Victoria: It's gonna go away, Billy, all right, and I am not gonna waste another second of my life thinking about that woman and her outrageous claims.

Judge Hazen: I would like to adjourn for the day. Counselor, we'll hear your rebuttal argument tomorrow.

Leslie: Thank you, your honor.

Michael: Thank you.

Leslie: Oh, don't look so pleased with yourself, Michael.

Michael: [Chuckling]

Leslie: This isn't over.

Michael: The judge seemed pretty convinced to me. And to you, too, or you wouldn't be so nervous. I'd say it's a fait accompli. The fat lady has sung, packed her bags, and hopped a plane to Bali. You... have a most excellent evening, Leslie.

Kevin: Look. No gun. You still want to tell me you're happy to have a new roomie? Me. Here. With Chloe.

Dr. Harris: If it's what's best for my patient. I failed Chloe once. I won't do that again. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go check the mail. I do leave the house for that, at least.

Kevin: This is what you want? You and me. Here?

Chloe: Not just you, though. I want Bella here with us. I know this is... [Scoffs] This is not paradise. But we can do this. Can't we?

Kevin: As long as we're together, we can do anything.

Victor: You called before, and then you hung up. What was that all about?

Dr. Harris: I just wanted to update you on Chloe without her in the room. Uh, there are no lingering side effects from the paralysis medication, and the correct dosage of her regular meds seems to be working. She's less anxious. More accepting of the situation.

Victor: You're doing a good job. Keep it up. I don't ever want to hear that woman's name again.

Dr. Harris: Of course.

Victor: Anything else? I don't want any surprises.

Dr. Harris: No surprises. Everything's under control.

Ravi: Graham, what's his last name?

Ashley: Oh, my god. I don't even know this man's last name. He's involved in every aspect of my mother's life, and I don't know his last name. You know, check under the Mergeron website. Look under "VP of water fetching."

Ravi: At least you didn't call him "flavor of the month" this time.

Ashley: That's because he's lasted an entire year, and he's gained tremendous access to my mother.

Ravi: Think she enjoys spending time with him?

Ashley: That's probably what got her into the situation to start with, sure. I think I've already told you, she's always preferred the company of younger men. I'm sure she found herself alone, single, and needed to rely on, and then Graham made himself available to her. But now, you see, his benefactress is home with her children and her grandchildren.

Ravi: You think he feels threatened?

Ashley: He says he's not interested in my mother's fortune. I think that's...ridiculous. It has to be a lie. Well, look, it's not my business what my mother does with her money, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna stand by and let this controlling gigolo just bleed her dry.

Ravi: Look, if you really believe that that's his agenda, then we have to find a way to stop this guy.

Jack: It isn't my house. It is the Abbott house. And you belong there.

Dina: Oh, jack. I haven't been an Abbott for decades.

Jack: You're still our mother. This would be a home for you. You'd have run of the place.

Dina: A home.

Jack: Just say yes. Please.

Graham: Say yes to what?

Jack: I've just invited my mother to live at the house. Plenty of room. Easy access to family. It's the obvious choice.

Dina: It's a wonderful offer, jack. It's so kind and loving. But there's -- there's a reason the visit has gone so well. It's because I'm not underfoot.

Jack: You wouldn't be at the house, either. There's plenty of room.

Dina: [Sighs] Well, Graham and I have settled in here, and we're managing quite comfortably. So, for now...I think we should leave things as they are.

Next on "the young and the restless"...

Tessa: What are you doing in Genoa city? What do you want from me?

Mattie: I think something's off. You know you can tell me, right?

Juliet: It's Leslie. The judge must have ruled.
